Wonderful venue with a lovely view and just an amazing atmosphere
I went to the Kennedy Center to see The Alvin Ailey Dance Theater production. The center was clean, and the ushers were helpful. The parking was pricey, but I will definitely go to see a performance there again in the future!
Millinieum Stage has excellent free concerts everyday at 6:00pm. Artes de Cuba exhibits and musical performances were once in a lifetime!!
The production of The Music Man was outstanding, easily the best musical I have ever seen at the Kennedy Center. Norm Lewis (Harold Hill) and Jessie Mueller (Marian Paroo) were fantastic as the leads. The supporting cast of Mark Linn-Baker and Rosie O'Donnell were very good. A thoroughly enjoyable evening.
Great place to tour or take in a show. So much history and great performances. Take this place in!
A magnificent place to experience a variety of culturally entertaining options!
At John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing arts the staff are professional, friendly, and helpful. The snacks are a bit pricey, as is to be expected, and some of the shows will run you a pretty penny to attend.
There are some free shows that allow this venue to welcome in all budget types into it's large halls. I highly recommend stopping by to see a comedy show or a musical performance.
It was amazing. I had never gone until tonight. Its absolutely breath taking. I can't wait to go back. The architecture, the atmosphere, the overall environment of it was great. Can't wait for my next trip.
Premier performance venue in the Washington, DC area.
Expansive venue for the arts. In the opera house not the best of acoustics: due to size?. Had a very good time watching La Traviata
Beautiful establishment for performances and venues! Very very open on the inside, but, my only gripe with the place (not a huge thing) is you could get lost in it... but! There are usually lots of people there to point you to the right direction! John F. Kennedy would be proud :)
We had a great guide. I highly recommend getting a guide
Finally came to the Kennedy Center! What a gorgeous performance center. Love the wrap around outside balcony / patio on the upper level. We didnt get a chance to eat at the cafe on the upper level but it looked very yummy. The only small downside is there could be more restrooms - ladies expect to wait in line. Otherwise, the atmosphere with art and photos is amazing. We parked at the garage below the center- easy to get in and out of for about $20. Cant wait to go back.
The most wonderful place on earth for the performance arts!
Seen more than one live performances and they always leave me wanting to go back for more.
This was our third time to see Hamilton, first in DC. We much preferred it to Portland and even Broadway (NYC). The Kennedy Center for the Performing arts has wonderful acoustics and seating. Its located just along the Potomoc and the Watergate Center. If you have seen Hamilton at any other theater, this was one of the best. Lin-Manuel really outdid himself here, almost as nice as seeing Hamilton on Broadway in 2015. Beautiful venue for an awesome experience. The staff was wonderful, and everyone so professional . Great evening!
Really well done memorial. The engraved quotes on the river side outsode really apply to tpdays U.S.
An awesome place to go. We had very helpful people to get us to our seats!! Our first time there and would not hesitate to go, again!
Always love the KC. We typically come for NSO events, and enjoy their diverse lineup from strict classical to the pops shows.
Check out the terrace for one of the best views in town.
Always you going for best performances, concerts. Today concert was perfect.Nice atmosphere, good shuttle from Foggy Bottom. Easy to get to Kennedy Center - relax in metro.
WOW it was my first time 2 visit and was in Ahhh n amaze how huge, beautiful busy with so many different event n entertainment 2 choose it is amazing n I can't wait until I return most definitely the sooner the better!!!
Today, we went to the Kennedy Center for a tour, petting zoo and kinderconcert. We brought two kindergarten classes and a first grade. The experience was amazing. We had two tour guides one of which was Ms. Carol Berman. Both were informative, friendly and most accommodating with our little ones. We all learned a lot, adults and children alike. All of the ladies in red jackets were wonderful. While the location is magnificent, they made you feel personally welcomed and warm. The petting zoo was just what children loved. Actually, handling the instruments and trying to make sounds. We went to the rooftop terrace to see that spectacular view. There are no words to describe it. The concert was thrilling. The children were mesmerized with the instruments, sing-alongs and musicians. A big thank you to Ms. Willis who kept things rolling and made sure this experience happened for us. How lucky we are to be in a city with this awesome treasure. This day will be a memory throughout their ages and for this we are grateful.
Best place in DC for classical concerts. The building architecture alone makes worth visiting it
Beautiful indoor design, welcoming and professional employees.
Do not miss the performances of the National Symphony Orchestra - classic with a twist of modern!
Tosca was world class. It is a center of excellent service to the community.
Beautiful view from its terrace on 360 degrees huge salons
Amazing experience, wonderful aucistics, I swear there isn't a bad seat in the house!
We had arrived to visit my in-laws and my daughter found out that NYC Ballet was there. She absolutely loved the Kennedy Center and the show.
Great venue for entertainment, we have seen several shows and we're happy with the comfort and cleanliness provided. Also a parking garage on-site is very helpful when traveling from out of town, along with a concierge at the front drop off area to assist older guests.
We had a fabulous experience at a matinee performance by the National Symphony Orchestra. A fine facility.
It was a beautiful facility. My seat had plenty of legroom, and I clearly saw the performance from back on the 32nd row. "The King and I" was wonderful!
Had a great time whaching a concert there last night
Gorgeous building and grounds, stunning live performances
I went here for a comedy show for the first time. It was an awesome show. The ushers are so pleasant. However the lady helping with tickets was kinda snippy. You MUST buy a souvenir cup to drink a can of soda. They lady failed fo express that before I walked over to be seated which resulted in me going back. Smh. Parking was $23 for the hour.
Ate dinner on the rooftop. Great food, wonderful views
The Kennedy center is great if you're made of money. One of the only places to go see big Broadway type productions around here. Bring your binoculars, you'll need them from the cheap seats in the balconies to see those little specs on stage. Plus the cheap seats wilm still run you 100$ each. Also, the Kennedy Center is in a wierd no-mans land surrounded by highways, you pretty much have to either drive to a separate restaurant, and allocate time to park, drive and re-park between dinner and the show or pay $$$$ to eat in the restaurant on premises.
It is a beautiful venue, large and majestic, with a great terrace that overlooks the potomac river. Parking lots are right under the building which is super convenient although it is of course another fee.
Absolutely beautiful!! Sesame Street sing a long was great. My daughters enjoyed it.
We saw Hamilton and there was not a bad seat in the house.
The annual Labor Day Page to Stage event is wonderful! Such an opportunity to hear new plays and meet the playwrights. A place to hear fresh voices and make yourself heard!
Beautiful building both inside and out. Quite a treat to view illuminated at night. Always a pleasant experience no matter what form of art you are coming to experience. Be sure to take the tour and give yourself ample time to savor and enjoy the building itself and the wonderful works of art sprinkled throughout.
Doing the KC Ballet Season and love it. Awesome theater, accessible from all over the city and always worth the drive from Norfolk.
Went to go see the Alvin Ailey Dance Troupe it was amazing experience. The building it self is was beautiful bathrooms on every floor.
Come from away was fabulous. KC is a lovely venue.
Awesome center for the performing arts! Great view from the roof-top veranda. Food is available on premises through the early evening hours.
Last nite's concert of Diana Ross at JFKC was totally WOW! The best live concert we attended so far in years She is 75 years old but she sings and controls her act incredibly well. Backed up by the NSO and a great Choir the evening was really magical. She broke the house down and got the usually reserved Washingtonians on their feet to dance in the concert hall! What a lady!
Take the elevator to the outside terrace it's free and the views are beautiful.
At the top, very nice view on the terrace and free concert at 18h
This center holds three theaters. I always enjoy the shows, but I will never again save money on the ticket price by getting seats on the balcony. With a 34" inseam, there's not enough leg room for me to be comfortable sitting for two hours. We were in the Eisenhower theater for the balcony show, so maybe the seating is different in the other two theaters... But I won't be testing that theory.
The building's parking garage is priced by the day. If you prepay for parking online, you pay $20 instead of $23, and you can scan into the garage using the QR code emailed and texted to you.
There's no option to scan your seat tickets from your mobile device, so you have to either print your tickets beforehand or pick them up from will call.
The evening was a great success
The.food was good and our waiter was very good
Impressive experience visiting a famous place of notoriety.
Amazingly welcoming instruction. Great history, great exhibitions, great shows, great view at roof top, great art. Must visit. Just go there and watch DC. See a show.
I saw Hamilton here around July 4th, and it was INCREDIBLE! It was surprisingly convenient to access. The gift shop staff and ticketers were extremely nice and accommodating. I definitely recommend attending a performance here if you ever get the chance!
I have been here twice. The ushers are great and very helpful. It is a very nice venue. We were lucky enough to see Hamilton this summer and Little Shop of Horrors over Halloween weekend. The night we went to Little Shop Alan Menken happened to be in house so that was an added thrill. Looking for more productions to attend.
Great experience, facility stunning, staff efficient, show great, etc
Hidden gem of DC. Amazing 360 views on the roof. Massive building. Aside from it being an event venue, it's more than worth checking it out at any time it's open. Free shuttles was dope too.
It is essential to know it for a tourist. Of the best in the world
Beautiful facility, the oldest new tourist attraction.#Reach
From above you can see the orchestra and the stage simultaneously
Great place to spend time with your family friends and or the love of your life..
DC Jazz Fest. Chucho Valdez and Gonzalo Rubalcaba. Piano viturocity times two.
Program was from the CD "Trance"...extended improvisation and new charts.
I suspect that many expected a recital of traditional Latin-jazz, but both men have grown beyond that. They had the opportunity to perform original works in their unique Cuban style.
The encore, 'Caravan' gave the audience something to grasp, and they did enthusiastically. A great show!
Beautiful! It is worth visiting and its gift shop has a variety of items related to the works presented.
Just saw Sound of Music in the Opera Hall. Great show! Beautifully done!
Gorgeous venue to see a performance.
Pricy food and refreshments, though
