Be aware that if you happen to attend something where a VIP is also attending they will start on time, however you may not be able to get to your seat until well after the performance. Additionally, even if you do manage to get to your seat, you may have people walking down the aisle or may have to move in order for others to get to there seat.

I can't even begin to put into words what this place means to me. It is the greatest temple to great culture that exists in the United States. Nothing is grander than viewing the magnificent DC skyline from the roof terrace while waiting for a concert or show to begin, or entering the great halls of state and international flags as you arrive. Whatever I'm seeing here - the (wonderful) National Symphony, the opera, a musical, theater - it makes me proud to be an American. And we need all of that we can get these days!

I love love love the Kennedy Center! I've seen Alvin Ailey, Debbie Allen and also attended some of the symphony Orchestra shows. Its always a delightful experience and the Kennedy center is absolutely beautiful.

Good performances , yet the staff is unfriendly and at will call before the performances when there is a line, some staff are quite rude in moving the line. The snacks are terrible and there is rarely time to eat . The doors in the foyer open directly to the outside and so when walking out during intermission - in the winter is is very cold. Design is poor. The restaurant upstairs is overpriced for the quality and service that feels and looks like a cafeteria.
Overall, it should be given to a private sector to bring quality up as currently it feels like you are in the presence of government run enterprise, much like our Post Office and overpriced for the venue.

Construction for new parking garage is a little hectic. If parking there just follow the signs and ignore your GPS. Clean facility. Inwish thry did not allow food in the theatres. The whole performace was accompanied by cellophane wrappers being crinkled.

Tasty meal but pricey. Also, I had to assert myself with the cashier who didn't listen to me at first, and proceeded to charge me for the wrong item. After I challenged and refused to sign the bill, she relented, saw her mistake, and called for a manager, who voided that sale and had her calculate a corrected bill. This was not an insurmountable matter, but it didn't add to my overall experience in a positive way.

Has something for everyone high end low end and everything in between. Go on the tour of the place. It will give you a sense of history of the place and you can see a lot of the cool buildings. I saw Yo Yo Ma play there often.

Very nice. The views are spectacular and the acoustics are impeccable. I could talk about the location and the parking but that would be knit picking and they do a good job of handling the flow of traffic so it's all good. The shops are not as expensive as one may think, the free concerts/performances are good, and they provide a nice selection of beverages, candy, and snacks.

Saw a few concerts here. There's always something going on here. Facility layout is pretty open but is easy to get lost so arrive early if it's your first visit.

The quality of shows are very good.

The iconic performing arts center in Washington, DC. Home to the National Symphony Orchestra, the National Opera, Theater, Choral music, children's programming and more. Lovely restaurant and cafe on site. On site parking. An enormous expansion is set to begin in 2017.

Every year my class goes to a children's show. There is usually an interactive component before the show, many glasses can't see it, but if you go ahead of time you can get in line. We always love the show! This year we saw a show about instruments that were taken apart, and there was a little story and the instruments were put back together. The performers were great with the kids. it was a great balance between learning and fun. The ushers and staff are always friendly!

Signage to the KC from Whitehurst was so terrible, that we first got lost after losing the KC sign telling us to get off, and the second time going into the KC but missing the parking sign, and going back on rte 66w.

This place is magnificent!! I felt like it was an honor to attend a show here! The halls between the theaters are awe inspiring and make you feel like you are part of something special. The theater we were in seemed like it had no bad seats, that everyone would enjoy the show and be totally drawn into the performance no matter where they sat. I anticipate many return visits!!

The Millennium Stage is one of the greatest entertainment options in the DC area. Free shows every day - wide variety of music types, amazing entertainment. Come early for happy hour prices on drinks before the shows. Been going to these shows for years and have never been disappointed.
