The staff are superb and the events here are always worth attending. Nights out at the Ken Cen are lovely paired with the easy and free shuttle from the Foggy Bottom Metro. Not to mention the staff who are always excited to be there!
Solid opera performances, excellent intermission snack choices, wonderful indoor and outdoor spaces.
Very nice Christmas show. The event could have been more staffed. Durring the intermission most people came back to their seats empty handed due to none of the bar or snack areas being staffed. Other than that good show.
Great cultural center with several theaters hosting variety of performances. Space is open to the public with beautiful views, plus free performances every day at 6pm.
The MLK Jr Celebration was wonderful and Chaka Khan was phenomenal!
What a grand space! I love it and loved the shop where I bought an exquisite bow tie made of feathers! The show we saw was My Fair Lady and the lead lady Shirin Ahmed was delightful as well as the other actors. Lovely evening all round
An excellent performance by the National Symphony orchestra.
This is a wonderful hub for the arts in the Nation's capital.
I always enjoy a show at the Kennedy Center. Right now we're hanging out on the outside patio enjoying the view of the Potomac river. There's a little cafeteria inside, and also a fancier restaurant. They also sell snacks in the lobby. Parking is plentiful but expensive ($23.00 or $20.00 if you prepay). There's a free shuttle bus from the Foggy Bottom Metro. The quality of the productions is high, but so are ticket prices. They do have free shows every day except Christmas on the Millennium Stage.
This place always impresses. The concessions aren't as insanely overpriced as you might expect and the experience is always breathtaking.
Saw wicked here and was even better than when I saw it on Broadway. This place is iconic
Had an amazing time as always. Parking is pricey so be prepared.
I have always loved the Kennedy Center. They continuously present spectacular shows.
So thankful, on behalf of my niece and other deaf patrons, for the sign language interpreted performances. Always a gift!
I really enjoyed the musical Anastasia this week! Such amazing acting, singing, and costumes! Fabulous!
Best theatre and entertainment ever.......beautiful theatre
Close to metro and bus, this venue is my destination for traditional and new opera. Excellent gift shop, and clean, plentiful restrooms. Check out the free performances of all sorts of music, always high quality.
A national treasure. A wonderful place for culture and entertainment. College students frequently get discounts so it makes it easier to enjoy the performing arts as early as one can.
We went to a great concert there. Stuff are so nice!
An absolutely gorgeous location to watch just about anything. Go upstairs because there's a huge balcony around the whole building, promising great views of the city and river.
Take your loved one there, it's very romantic at night.
Very inspiring place to visit also the performance of The Temptations play was outstanding
Terrific venue. Have seen many shows over the years, they do it right. Became a member this year. Ushers are very nice and helpful. A DC treasure!
We'd be a really boring species if not for the arts. This place is amazing inside and they always have top talent on stage and backstage running the shows.
Very nice theatre. Wish they had proper food/drinks for pre-show and intermission.
Everything else was great!
Amazing venue for any stage performance . Beautiful layout and friendly staff
Great shows. Good seating options. It's a very nice venue. There are multiple theaters inside so you can always find something to see. They have a nice gift shop and make concessions readily available. The view outside is lovely also by the waterfront. It's a nice place to view part of DC while you are on intermission or before your show begins.
Hamilton.
Met the hype and surpassed it.
Had a good time. Keep in mind tht the parking garages accross the street r 5+ dollars cheaper than wht is charged at the kennedy center. Also if at all possible dont leave tickets in wheel call. We had to stand in an extremely long line for abt 10 mins waiting to get our tickets and risked being late for the show.
We saw Jason Moran here. Fantastic show in a fantastic venue. amazing the performances they have also amazing the artistic shows they have in the lobby while you wait.
A performance hall that honors Kennedy. Beautiful building
We saw Don Carlo--fabulous! Take the shuttle from Foggy Bottom Metro; $ for parking at Kennedy Center is outrageous!
The Reach festival is fantastic! A variety of events, workshops, concerts, etc., from 10 AM - 10 PM every day for 3 weeks! Being that it's new there are a few things to iron out like some events being overbooked, but the events that I attended like the Brandee Younger concert and the Syncopated Ladies performance were amazing. The Driving While Black film in the Virtual Reality Lounge was not only educational but also visually stimulating.
Saw Aladdin here. It was wonderful. Eveyone at this vennue is always polite and friendly. It is always an experience from the moment you get dropped off at the door.
Visited Kennedy center today and the tour of the building was excellent. Mr. Ricardo was our tour guide and he had enormous knowledge and he explained everything very well. The center is just fantastic and worth the visit.
Interesting but our tour guide was a bore and a little anal which made it hard to enjoy the tour
My experience at the Kennedy center on Saturday was great always been
So much to do and see. Free performances every day. Beautiful structure. Great views.
Room at the top! Good visibility anywhere. Take his tickets on the internet and go get them at the reception is very easy. No waiting. Friendly staff and very helpful. Do not be late, this is very badly seen! Parking reservation with a discount is a plus.
Still a great if aging venue for the performing arts. Major construction is going on in connection with a multi-million dollar expansion. We are lucky to have such a great cultural resource in the city.
I cant really think of anything bad other than the somewhat difficult location vis a vis both car and metro.
Great evening's entertainment! NSO Declassified was a fun night! Excellent music and performers delivered a fun night.
My wife and I are fortuitous to have a mom that has season tickets and was kind enough to get us seats to Hamilton at The Kennedy Center. It's always a special treat here, and I treat each outing like a major event due to the grandeur of the hall. Honestly, I would considering seeing a rendition of Cats here, and I hope you understand what a testament that is to the facility. However, viewing a behemoth like Hamilton was a rare opportunity, and the soundtrack is currently taking over my life. Don't sleep on "Satisfied", because that song is straight incredible.
Saw Barber of Seville. Not great but a superb place to see opera.
Sound of Music was wonderful! The John F. Kennedy center was beautiful and very easy to get to..I highly recommend going!
Amazing performance I was just there yesterday watching the my fair lady theatre and it was amazing.
I've been coming to the Kennedy Center since I moved to MD a little over 5 years ago. They have exceptional artists and acts, including the NSO, Washington Ballet and incoming performers - all of them are stellar! The grounds are well groomed outside, inside it is clean and there's always someone around to tend to your questions and concerns. The Concert Hall and Opera House alike have plenty of space in the seating to allow for comfort and the temperature control is quite comfortable. I cannot imagine that there is anything wrong with any part of what KC has to offer. They even have a shuttle service from the Foggy Bottom metro station area that gives metro riders a direct and free shuttle ride to the front door of the KC atrium! Fantastic service! Bringing the arts to you in a comfortable environment and ready to meet and exceed your standards all the way!!
Reasonably priced performances; parking is not as bad as one would think for the area.
Wonderful place. Haven't been here since I was a kid.
Excelente place to enjoy arts: Opera, ballet, theater, musicals, symphonies, music.
Awesome!!! So much to see! Concert great! Glad I went
I almost fell because of all of the sharks and bears! Jk its was cool, i got my first kiss there.
I hope NONE of my favorite artists ever perform here again! They pack people into seats like sardines! I've been to nearly every concert venue in Washington D.C., Baltimore, Northern Virginia & surrounding areas...this place has the absolute WORST seating of all! And it is incredibly difficult to drive to...unlike all other venues...got there just fine; getting INTO it was another story! Getting out wasn't much better. Normally, I can find my way & drive to just about anywhere in the country, including other venues in the D.C. area...I could SEE this place & still could not reach it!
Wonderful, magical ballet, American Ballet Theater.
6 theaters, free performances every day on the Millennium Stage, beautiful architecture.
