Absolutely amazing place with some of the best food in Scotland
This is a large place to visit, it was my first time and and I wasn't sure what to expect, arriving in the large car parking area, just off the main entrance, we quickly found a space and headed over to the main building.
Fish and chip shop, fruit and veg stalls, outdoor seating/eating area and multiple entrances leading off from the very large courtyard. If you just walk forward, you enter a huge conservatory again filled with more seating, surrounded by windows giveing you a glimpse of the goods available, just a few paces away.
In the end I moved anti-clock wise from the fruit and veg stalls into the food hall, through to the home goods, children's area and on to the Gallery.
Moving further round to women's fashion and then upstairs to the outdoor ware, mens and sporting clothing. The two large boats sitting in the middle of the floor are real statements filled with bags and various merchandise.
You could easily loose a lot of time here, especially sitting having a coffee and a catch up with friends in the conservatory.
My only negative, was being asked not to take photos as its not allowed, so having taken a few by then, the mobile phone was tucked away and I enjoyed the rest of my wander around.
Really nice place to walk around prices a bit on the steep side
Absolutely gorgeous products & the most friendliest staff ever
Lovely place for lunch and tea. Great place for shopping
Wonderful place to shop. Staff so are attentive and polite.
Posh toilets, busy busy car park, watch out for range rover tanks doing silly manoeuvres, enjoyed the dander round the falls.
Outstanding restaurant selection and lively conservatory with tables.
Great place for a days shopping and food served all day
The bloke behind the fish and chip shop counter was rather rude to my mate.
Great place to visit even with dogs, we were there recently and parking facilities for cars with dogs are excellent I would give you 10 stars for it as usually there is parking facilities for people with children, naturally for disabled, but none for dogs and they are part of the family too!! Really Bruar I hope other places will follow your example!! Thank you.
We had a great shop around, plenty choice, love the food shop!! then went back to the car the dogs were fine and cool, then went out for dinner, great food aswell, as I said only 5 stars allowed but I would give TEN!!
Excellent food, plus wonderful shops. A little pricy but clothes are good quality. Don't miss the hike by the falls behind the stores.
Best selection of salmon and trout fishing flies and tackle.
The shop and cafe are excellent but our trip was clouded today when we tried to use the one & only disabled toilet. It is shared with baby changing and the queue of mums with babies interspersed with people in wheelchairs was ridiculous. A store this size making that must be making a big profit needs to be more disability aware instead of expecting us to endure such a wait. Please review your disabled facilities and make them fair. It wasn t even peak lunch time it was 11.40. In anticipation of a better experience next time we visit.
Overpriced! When you can buy the same item in Tesco for just under 2/3 of the price! Obviously aiming at the tourist market.
Huge selection on all clothing types and brands. Went in to find a pair of breeks, managed to get an incredible pair in the sale main room. Staff where wonderful; both welcoming and informative.
They have many different clothes stores, huge restaurant and a very large variety of foods in the food hall.
Plenty of parking
No social distancing in place or max number of people inside. Hand sanitizer unit outside was empty, so everyone is just pressing on it and spreading germs. The food court was packed with people and once inside there is a bottle neck to get out past a 60person queue for toilets! It just doesn't feel safe. Honestly about 300 people in one shop. The sale shop however was amazing and very good social distancing including a one way system
One of the most disgraceful displays of narcissism I have ever witnessed. The amount of animals that were killed to make ugly clothing for ugly people is beyond belief. Do not support this place.
Everything you could need....every souvenir possible
it's all real good stuff but all way above the price it should be.
A must for anyone travelling on the A9 for a food or shopping break
Food hall like a cattle market
Bought a necklace the clasp broke after one wear so much for quality
Can't beat it for provisions for clothes for food and best of all impeccable manners of all the staff. The place to stop on the A9.
The meal was very delicious and the portion was large. After eating a lot of meat, I finally added a lot of vegetables in one breath.
This department store in the middle of the Scottish Highlands offers everything your heart desires on an exceptional high level! Men's fashion, outdoor clothing, fishing supplies, art, household items and home decoration, as well as ladies' fashions, shoes and accessories at its finest ..... Also food and a very nice self-service restaurant serving regional food and homemade cakes. For browsing, enjoying and shopping perfect.
Absolutely fabulous place.shopping amazing. Fish and chips, the best I have tasted and of course the Gin,unbelievable. Great place
The falls and the surrounding woodland are enchanting. The shopping experience at the House of Bruar is not.
They have a fish and chip place that sells fresh lobster that you can pick yourself. Enough said.
Great place to relax with nice scenery and shopping
A bit overbearing and definitely on the high side of expense. Impressive nevertheless
Good section is great clothing not as good as it used to be.
Food was lovely! All 4 of us greatly enjoyed our lunch
Great destination shopping centre with an equally great restaurant too, the soup and a roll doesn't do it justice but is delicious all the same. I've been going since they started and watched them grow. Still a great experience.
We stopped off for some lunch. The food was great, particularly the cream of vegetable soup. The shop was full of lovely bits and toilets really nice.
We also walked up the falls but it was absolutely pouring with rain so we are soaked through but the walk had great views but was a little steep at times for less experienced walkers.
Over priced touristy outlet, would not choose to visit again.
Good stop off and expensive range of goods.
Good Food on offer. Try the soup!.
Expect to spend 2 hrs there to enjoy experience.
Toilets excellent with fantastic Arran Aromatics soaps.
LOVELY things for presant idea's and food stuff plus the booze section TOO
Superb shopping experience, absolutely fabulous food, great location, extremely accessible. Splendidly helpful staff. It s my annual treat!
Great shopping and the food hall is amazing too. If you get time check out the waterfalls as well.
Just as good as the last time , a good pit stop if the A9
Very busy place, too pricey for my liking. There is however a nice and interesting range of produce and giftware should you want that. They have a limited amount of toilets for the size of place but more than enough parking. Very touristy
Nice place, good food in the food shop, lots of eating opportunity.
Didn't see the falls, anyway if you're looking for some shopping, there you can find clothes shops, food, ecc.
Great place to browse food hall has good choice of local and small national/artisan producers and some good bargains in discount shop if you are looking for high end clothes and outdoor gear is good but at high end prices
Wonderful place to visit- recommend the Falls of Bruar walk, a good length for most abilities and some stunning photo opportunities!
Expensive but upmarket merchandising and good is their thing. Also a nice walk to the falls for by
Lovely place to stop on the way up to the cairngorms, a cafe, fish and chip shop, deli and men s and women s clothing stores. Be prepared for premium prices.
Far to busy, shop cluttered and far to commercial. Was better years ago when it was an iconic stop. Now just over priced cattle market. That's what greed dose to you.......
Good parking. Well organised food service. Bit pricey.
Excellent restaurant. Amazing shopping experience, despite high end products.
Good range of Scottish food, clothing and other quality goods.
Food is good in cafe and pp roduce to buy lots of good local meat
OK, I found the walk to the waterfalls round the back more interesting than the shops. Same old tartan and shortbread...
Very upmarket and expensive. Does have a sale section.
Extremely expensive but some unusual gifts for Christmas.
Love popping in when in Pitlochry for a bite of lunch always a delight. Delicatessen is amazing.
Excellent food a lovely place to stop on way to the Highlands. Would recommend a visit.
Great stopping place and but the fish and chips there amazing
Driving from Edinburgh to Inverness, I worked up an appetite! So 2 of the 3 hours on road trip to Inverness, stopped here! It was awesome! I got a wee bit carried away! Delicious Fish and Chips, Bundaberg Ginger Beers, Sweets, Sweets and more Sweets!! The sweetest treat was seeing the beginning of the rainbow for the first time in my life in Spectacular Scotland!!
Don't take the wife there, or she'll be shopping for weeks
Lovely restaurant with nearby Braur water falls .
The shopping experience is really great. Went there unexpectedly on the way from Aviemore but it was just amazing. Great Scottish produce. You can feel the posh once you are there.
Love going there when the annual sale is on. Lots of lovely tasters - what's not to like!
Perfectly lovely for a cup of tea but very much set up to catch the tourist dollar, which is fair enough and the quality of the clothes on offer is very good.
