Our first holiday to Scotland this year which involved a stop over to House of Bruar. Never heard of it before we stopped purely for a comfort break and a cuppa...... nearly 2 hours later we finally leave! Amazing place, full of beautiful quality items and their restaurant & cafe food is excellent. I so recommend that you visit it. It even has it's own Heli Pad! Kay Lucas of Cornwall

It's a grand place on the side of A90. Quite unexpected. On the pricey side, however the goods are worth it. Wasn't too keen on parking - there was a dedicated car park for people with dogs, but couldn't find parent & child parking...

We make it a point to call in on are way to aviemore, this is not a cheap stop off point. It's full of high standed food products, the smoked meat and fish are outstanding. A top class shopping centre.

Expensive food and cafe crowded. Customer service in cafe severely lacking. Car parking for disabled is minimal with quite a distance to walk to the shops. Nice selection of toy guns some made of metal that you just don't see on shops anymore.

The food hall is quite chaotic and the food is ok but expensive. The very busy toilets are next to the food self service area which is a little off putting. Shops cater for a specific type of shopping (plenty of green wellies) but it is what it is.

Nice place to stop while on your way up to the Highlands or heading back South. Right off the main road, so it's a perfect place to take a quick break. Plenty of food, gifts, and clothes to choose from. Ate breakfast here and it was delicious (as was the coffee). Worth stopping, even to have a quick look). It is expensive, so don't expect finding anything on the cheaper end.

The House of Bruar gets bigger, better and busier every time I visit. A definite stopping point en route to Inverness. Very good restaurant - but pricey. Classy toilets
So many shops now to wander round all selling the best brands and many Scottish ones. The woollen and cashmere shop is my favourite. Got to mention the food shop - a foodie's dream with top quality Scottish products and others too numerous to mention.
Oh and don't forget to have a walk around the Bruar falls - beautiful.

Perfect

Lovely place to stop for refreshments just off the A9. A big range of quirky, but pricey giftware, alongside an Art gallery & shop selling a full range of fishing tackle etc. Take a leisurely walk along the stunning falls of Bruar. Parking is free!

Top class high quality country clothing for men and women on display, often sale offers. Home ware, kitchen utensils are beautifully displayed as is a wide range of equipment for those who are avid fishers. The restaurant serves a wide range of freshly made food for a main meal or snack and many items make fine presents. The butchers section is a must for all lovers of fine meat.

A wide selection of country clothing, accessories, household items and the food hall is a wonderful array of tasty scottish foods ranging from biscuits to steak. The restaurant is a must if you're stopping off.

We stopped at House of Brurra on Monday 27 th July
It was a disgrace no social distancing at all , after 20 weeks of shielding it was a nightmare to me . Why is there no one checking numbers as I m sure that would help instead big crowds inside and the restaurants line was shoulder to shoulder I turned about and left .
