Interesting Hanover offices in a Hines' property - the same co building next to their Hanover Montrose building. On Hanover Montrose, great place, some nice staff, seemed perfect when I moved in Nov 2017 - HOWEVER, if you're on the south-side of the building (surprise!) there's a 32-story high-rise going up right next to you. Cue construction noise at 7am, street closures, construction workers... And yet, the apartment still hasn't notified residents. Not a happy camper.

DO NOT LEASE FROM THIS COMPANY. I rented from one of their properties and could hear everything through the walls. I did not sleep for over 4 months and documented excessive noise over 40 times (including video) meaning my lease was breached due to Quiet Enjoyment. Management approved being released from my lease *in writing* (see image), but corporate went back on this and made a nonsensical legal argument in an attempt to charge me THOUSANDS. I was forced to seek legal counsel to try to solve the situation, which remains unresolved. Corporate had no desire to help, even after their agent caused detrimental reliance and my lease was breached by management. Avoid at all cost, they only care about squeezing a dime from you.

Dear Hanover Company,

Dear Hanover Company,

I am writing to let you know abou an experience I have had recent,y at your property in Austin, Northshore. I am a part owner of car dealerships in Houston for decades and I know we would like to know how our business reputation is being represented to customers and the public
My extended family lives in Austin, so when my home in Houston was flooded in the recent storm , I decided your new building in Austin would be a great relocation for me
I visited last Saturday, September 9th, Natalia gave me and part of family the tour of the available units and property. The penthouse was my choice after viewing three units. #3810. I was told by Natalia that the rent was $ 9200+ She repeated many times. I did not remember the last two digits of that number , but I agreed with this number at the end of the tour and I did not request a different rent. We walked to the office , I believed to secure the apartment Natalia asked for the date to start. I chose September 27th I was told I needed to be checked out so they needed 72 hours. + "5-6 days to ready the unit". I was told I would receive a proposal within a couple of hours. When the proposal, arrived there was a deadline of Monday, at 3:30pm and the rent proposed was $9,656- quite a difference from the price quoted. I called Sunday to rcitifynth difference and spoke to Keith. He said that is the rent and Natalia is not there to verify my comversation I asked for Natalia to be called to verify the agreement
Monday morning I called again. Keith said the number quoted online is an "immediate move in price ". So I agreed as a compromise to sign a lease this week at the $9200 number that was quoted. An hour later, He said he received an email from corporate that agreed to honor this deal. We made an appointment for me to come to the building to sign the lease Tuesday morning. Two hours later (still Monday) Natalia calls. She denies anything she said, she is argumentstive She rescinds what Keith had agreed to earlier in the day from corporate. She sent yet Another quote with a $9389 rent. I am totally in confusion at this point !! At 2:00 , just before the expiration of my "questioned " proposal , Natalia writes that there is another customer. At this point I have been lied to for two days straight. As soon as the 3:30 ending of the proposal , I received an email stating that #3810 was leased.
All emails were completely different than what was spoken to me !
If another person had arrived after me and agreed to pay a higher price , why was I not told and given a chance at the beginning to meet that price rather than the lies and cover -ups and delays for two days to wait out my time period. As you can imagine, I was confused beyond reason. There is no reason to deal so treacherously with good faith customers.

I, unfortunately, will be speaking to others in Houston and Austin that Hanover Company's employees do not honor their word or deal with good faith
Thank you for listening to me. I hope this will help you to remedy the reputation of your company. I am hoping it is not indicative of your intentions.

I would like to report fraudulent practices of Ass...

I would like to report fraudulent practices of Assistant Property Manager Mr. Peter Nwaokolo at the Hanover Midtown Park (8250 Meadow Rd, Dallas, TX 75231) and file an official complaint to the Hanover Company.

I have visited the Hanover Midtown Park on Dec. 16, 2019 to look for a place to move in on Jan. 18, 2020. Mr. Nwaokolo assisted my search at the leasing office. Although it appears too early to get reasonable quotes for the Jan. 18, 2020 move-in on Dec. 16, 2019, Mr. Nwaokolo told me that I should start my application on that day to secure Apt. 5326 while hold the place at the desirable price similar to move in on Dec. 16, 2019 (photo evidence attached) because he can modify my move-in date multiple times in your leasing system to have my application active and reached at the reasonable rent equivalent to the rent of Dec. 2019.

Mr. Nwaokolo had verbally endorsed and guaranteed that "merely incremental change is prone to the monthly rent of Unit 5326 in Jan 2020 and, based on his (Mr. Nwaokolo s) experience, it tends to decrease at the timing of season (esp., Jan. 18, 2020)". I have trusted him as the Assistant Property Manager representing the Hanover Company and initiated my application to the Unit 5326.

I visited the leasing office seven days prior to my prospective move-in to clarify the remaining move-in process at 2pm of Jan. 11, 2020, and was surprisingly told by Mr. Brandt Henderson that the monthly rent went up approximately $100 (i.e., now $1,449 for a 13-month contract, excluding four-week concession); Because of frequent absence and no email responses of Mr. Nwaokolo, I had not been able to consult with him about my lease. I was literally panicked prior to our potential impending move-in on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020. After 2-3 hour long discussion on site on the same day, I have reached a thought that this is unacceptable and fraudulent.

Thus, on this disappointing chaotic matter, I firmly believed that it happened due to malpractices and wrongdoing of Mr. Nwaokolo and email him. He acknowledged that I am entitled to a refund of my $200 Admin. fee excluding $50 Waived App. fee paid for Apt 5326. Please refer to the attached email confirming the refund sent from Mr. Nwaokolo on January 13, 2020 at 11:26:21 AM.

His email promised the refund check by the end of March and I have reached out back to him more than 20 emails and 10 phone calls as of the end of March (evidence available upon request). Each time, he told me that I should be patient because my refund is processed. However, I have just told that I am not eligible for the refund due to unacceptable and legitimate excuses of him. Please correct such fraudulent practices of your employee, given that particularly such a person hold a position as high as Assistant Property Manager representing the Hanover Co.

I regret such wrongdoing and fraudulent actions rendered by your leasing agent at the Hanover Midtown Park not only taint reputation but also inhibit your firm growth over time.

I have considered myself as a prospective residence at Hanover in near future but unfortunately this unpleasant experience not only precludes my future consideration and those close to me. I wish this case should be addressed in a timely manner by your headquarter office.
