Great location, impeccable service, perfect beds and pillows. We received an up grade for our weddings and stayed in a luxurious and tasteful room. Hermes soaps and creams were perfect too. And the curtains left the room completely dark. I loved it

Beautiful, centre of the Old City Hotel. We'll retain fabulous memories of Toby and Cecilia in the garden restaurant who ensured we had five sensational days in Amsterdam. Staff, food and the hotel itself all get 5 stars from us.

We had a nice stay at The Grand. The suite was comfortable and nice. The beds were comfortable. Very good location in the center of Amsterdam.

we already knew that people from Amsterdam were friendly people, but put this in a super nice framework and you have the ideal mix.

We were well-received at the front desk by pleasant front desk personnel. Butler and housekeeping were helpful and accommodating. The view of the canal made the room extra special. Beds were indulgent and sleep was the natural response despite jet lag. Breakfast at Bridges was something we looked forward to. It was always pleasant and Luca, the host, made us feel special every time. I loved the window seat looking out to the canal. I appreciated how the turn down service always included more than the usual chocolate, with an image of paintings on an easel and some information. Loved the Hermes amenities and the constant water supply. Great Wi-fi connection. Excellent location. Removed from the busy part but within proximity. Historic rooms made it particularly unique. I loved the garden and the public sitting rooms. The Grand Amsterdam is my hotel of choice when visiting this city.

Being a luxury hotel and one of the costly hotel, it doesn't not provide shuttle service to airport nor even to train station.

Mijn man, 2 zonen en onze zoon zijn vriendinnetje hebben genoten van alle comfort, luxe en verwennerij in The Grand. Het was ons 3e verblijf en we blijven terugkomen. Alles is top, van de ontvangst bij aankomst, de vriendelijke receptionisten tot het meer dan overheerlijke ontbijt. De bedden zijn zalig en tv kijken in bad is ook best leuk. Bij vertrek staat je auto klaar met een leuke verrassing erin.
De ligging van het hotel is perfect, hartje centrum (alhoewel wel enigszins moeilijk te bereiken met de auto)

Everyone at the hotel was exceptionally wonderful to us. Your hotel is the cream of the crop, we loved the Jr. Suite with the luxurious bathtub which i used daily after trodding around Amsterdam all day.we actually came to Amsterdam for our 4th time but this time to see the Rolling Stones in Arnhem for our 39th anniversary, that was a blast. Frederik from guest relations surprised us with the most awesome Rolling Stones chocolate presentation in our room upon our return late on Sun evening and the bottle of champagne was enjoyed.I can not say enough about how we enjoyed the hotel and the Bridges breakfast daily. I am a Luxury/ Virtuoso Travel agent and quite often book Amsterdam for clients for various stays and am now will want everyone of my Amsterdam clients to experience what we did.Thank you.oh i see i should have done all this in the box below.

Great room. Exceptional staff. Extremely accommodating, even with special requests. I loved the little treats left in the room. The presentation of the macaroons was incredible. The breakfast was something to look forward to each morning, and Hester our waitress was a delight. I'm a seasoned traveler, and this was one of my favorite places. It is also in an excellent location.

The staff were all so amazing a professional. The bedrooms a great size and the beds very comfortable. I used the spa each day too. I was travelling alone with my son and felt very safe at the hotel.

I will be back next year!

Sofitel Legend The Grand is one of the most luxurious places t be in Amsterdam. A quiet haven amid of the hectic city center. The service was unbeatable, the bed was the most comfortable we ve ever had in a hotel, the bathtub was amazing, and the view was what we love about Amsterdam. We will stay here again when we come back to Amsterdam.

The location of the hotel is excellent in the heart of Amsterdam, the historic building, shampoo and cleaning equipment of a well-known brand. As for the flaws in the rooms, despite its relatively large area (30 m), you feel uncomfortable inside due to the dark time and the many columns in the room. The noise, the breakfast is very varied and very weak for a hotel of this high standard and the workers are always busy. I never recommend it. Room number

Magnificent hotel. Large rooms, friendly and helpful staff along with nice dining options. We were celebrating and the staff went out of their way with little extras that made the stay even better.

Everything meets the standards of all Sofitel brand hotels: fashion, art, comfort and service. I have to mention that breakfast is here, and I started a good day. Every waiter is responsible for the small area, so I can take care of every tenant he is responsible for. All the breakfast contents can be customized, not Squeeze into the open-plan dining area to compete for food, elegant, cozy breakfast time, and greatly add points to the hotel's services.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room very comfortable; the restaurant served a fantastic dinner. The breakfast was also great. Overall excellent stay. The hotel is well situated in the city.

Does not live up to the hype. Lost my bag because they did not take it out of the taxi. The Resturaunt is trying to hard to make dishes that are different and nice on the eyes but they have forgotten that you eat it. Not a restaurant that I would go back to or recommend.

The Grand turned out to have a Spa with a sauna, steamroom and a small indoor swimmingpool and they could provide a throwaway swimming suit at no additional cost! Great on a hot day. Also the airconditioning in the room functioned really well, worth mentioning. The historical and monumental building is the former Amsterdam city hall now in the middle of the red light district, very scenic. Original council hall still in place and used as meeting venue, gorgeous. This is where queen Beatrix married prince Claus in 1966. Another unique feature is an original wall painting by the famous Cobra artist Karel Appel. Lovely and serene inner garden with an outstanding restaurant, Bridges bistro. Last but not least - staff enormously friendly and helpful. Overall unique and top-notch!

Everything thing about our visit was perfect. From the website search and booking to the actual stay in the hotel. Super friendly and attentive staff. Being shown to our room by the check in agent was a first and a glimpse of the classy service to come. The room sparkled and was extremely well equipped. The staff at every turn were friendly and helpful. Bridges restaurant was top notch with equally friendly and helpful staff. We'll be back to Amsterdam and will be back to The Grand.

We had a lovely stay in The Grand Hotel in Amsterdam. The hotel is well-located in a beautiful building. The staff was helpful. We were really impressed with breakfast and with the dinner we had in the hotel restaurant. The room was very comfortable, and the interest connection was reliable and quick.

Loved this place. The history of the building is amazing.

The personal attention we received was extremely appreciated and very helpful. You should be very proud of your wonderful staff. It was they that made our experience memorable.

It was OK. Not bad, but not great. The first days at the spa with friendly girls and the great masseur, were great. <br/> My last days were not that amusing anymore. Staff in the morning at the spa rather unmotivated, no good morning and you were not respected. The steam room really needs to be renovated. The suite on the second floor was rather old styl. Tables scratched, couch was with stains. Only the maids did it well that you could feel good. Breakfast was nothing special

Lovely hotel with polite and friendly English speakIng staff. Large contemporary rooms with all modern facilities. Bathroom was a joy. Well stocked minibar although no ice making facilities.
Food in Bridges restaurant was a excellent.
Breakfast had a good choice , which also included sparkling wine. Service was generally efficient but when the breakfast room got busy things became a bit chaotic.
One minor disappointment was the fact the their was no dedicated bar during the day, and when the bistro was busy ( as it normally was), drinks had to be served and drank n the lobby of the hotel.

This hotel is truly the best. The rooms are cared for down to the last detail, comfortable beds and friendly, helpful staff. Room service is perfect and delivery in no time. Even the structure is really beautiful, modern inside but classic on the outside. I can only recommend it for those who want to spend time in Amsterdam
