Enjoyed our stay immensely. Room was spotless, comfortable and quiet. Can't ask for much more than that. Staff was most pleasant and helpful;. I'd stay again...next time I'm in Amsterdam!

We really felt like a guest. All the staff are extremely friendly and their main goal is to make you happy. It is a beautiful hotel with a rich history where you can be yourself and truly enjoy yourself. We had a wonderful dinner at Bridges and the petit bistro. And the breakfast is fantastic. We really enjoyed it.

Very impressed with this hotel, the service was out of a fairytale. The grounds were the best I had seen while in Amsterdam. Very nice quiet hotel yet convenient to everything. We would love to stay here again!

Despite repeated issues with the key card(s 8new), problems with the sink and a radio waking me up every morning on an unclear noisy Channel, I am still satisfied! Thanks to the very good service from the desk to the Security personel, and to the lovely cleaners. They all helped me a lot!

Very well located. Beautiful. Views to remember. Must say that there was quite too much noise in the hotel. Children loved it, as did I. Such a diverse place, though 2 days is plenty, with children. Service was good..perhaps a smoother, quieter and more luxurious experience would have brought this to a 4 star, for me. A tad pricy.

Last week settled in the courtyard of The Grand Hotel. We wanted to drink something and eat something small. We opted for a glass of Cava and a glass of Spumante, very tasty! Then wait for bread and Burrata. It took a More

De ontvangst was prima. Het personeel was erg attent en behulpzaam. De kamer was mooi gelegen.

De tv i.c.m. Quadriga is niet meer van deze tijd, bijzonder traag en niet gebruiksvriendelijk. Maar we hoorden dat hiervoor een nieuwe installatie komt op korte termijn.

Wat ontbrak in de kamer was een waterkoker, ik neem aan dat het niet de bedoeling was om met het nespresso apparaat thee te zetten. In de badkamer ontbrak het aan tandenborstels en tandpasta en scheergerei. Ook waren er geen wijnglazen aanwezig.

Het ontbijt was fantastisch.

Overall een bijzonder prettige ervaring.

I felt in love with Amsterdam and this hotel. Staff in the teveoption were so pleased to deal with which made the start of the experience already great.
But I loved how the suite is comfortable and smell soooo great inside the room.
Felt home away from it.
Unfortunately was a short stop and couldn t see the spa and other facilities in the hotel.
Which makes me wish to come back soon!

A high tea made following article on the internet of Metro. Was quite a disappointment. On arrival, the reservation could not be retrieved initially. Was no problem and could still start. Questions were then asked whether we came via the AH promotion, not so. Collect five stamps and the menu for half the price. Were already afraid to get some action menu for the full blow and it turned out to turn out. The quality of the food and the tea was reasonable to good but it wasn't much. The bill was 86.50 euros and half of that would have been reasonable. This was inc. 2 glasses of champagne for 11 euros per glass.

I am seventy years old and I have been travelling the world on business since 1980. Over the years I have stayed in many top flight hotels. However, this is the first time I have felt the urge to write a review and I am doing so because this time everything was just right. The location in the centre of Amsterdam, the friendly service and the meals were all of exceptional quality. I felt completely at home. The only problem is that my wife came with me, and now she thinks this is how I live every time I am away on business.

Ideal location for a weekend visit to Amsterdam. The building was GRAND but the rooms were small. Minutes from the rail station. Very walkable to the red light district and shopping area.

Super hotel. Also brasserie, restaurant and bar. With the nicest bartender Kevin who prepares the most delicious cocktails for you. The food was delicious and affordable.

it is of course a beautiful hotel and my room was fabulous but the personal service at the desk, showing me my room, any help I needed - that made it exceptional. And the shower was the best I have seen in 100's of hotels! loved the place, had stayed before and it has only gotten better.

While our room was a little cramped given we had 3 of us staying in a room built for 2, it was still quite nice and comfortable. All of the staff members from the front desk to the bellmen to the restaurant were genuinely concerned with our care and comfort. The only challenge we had was one of our 2 rooms was not ready when arrived before lunch, which is understandable. But when it still wasn't ready at 4:00 pm that became a bit of an issue for us. We also had to make a couple of inquiries about the room even though we gave them our cell number to call when it was ready. Despite this small matter, the overall experience, the elegant historic property itself, the beautiful garden where we had breakfast and the perfect central location made this the perfect place for us.

Everyone was quite helpful. For example, one bag of luggage broke while taking it to the room and maintenance did a temporary fix.

The room was quite good with nice view.
