Horrible. Awake 12am to 2:30am loud people in courtyard outside to the bar above my room, hotel mgr and staff will not remove them. Avoid this hotel if you want to sleep.

The location is so lovely, staff were so friendly, helpful and easy to communicate with. Also they were supporting and at your service whenever you need and provide you with your entire request. However, there were few things which were extremely below my expectation to find it from luxury such hotel. The first two days the room cleaning was very good, but to my surprise we found that some areas in the room were never cleaned and full of dust!! One of the days found one of the coffee cup was not properly washed, still some coffee affects in it. When sometimes were requiring for a service to be received in the room, the service was too slow. I was expecting from this hotel to find things much better from lower standard hotels. Nonetheless, which kept us stay in this hotel was the good customer service.

A top-of-the-line hotel, in a place where it can not be more centrally located, and without being in the middle of a busy street. The hotel has a very good restaurant, and very friendly staff. It's not cheap, but pampering always costs ...

Except at the front desk / consierge and in the bar was the service at breakfast (a bit harsh, impersonal, no explanations, wrong + inaccurate + forgotten orders, "normal" offer) and in the room (evening service only 2 v. 4 evenings, coffee pods not refilled, also to order) meager to disappointing and the high price and a Sofitel not at all appropriate. Rooms were nice, quiet and clean, the location perfectly central.

Considering the price and the number of stars this hotel has, I'd expected more. Paid for three nights and though arriving on the second night, because of the scheduling error, the reception was not easy in giving this room.

I would like to thank the very friendly staff for the service and cleanliness. Hotel close to everything. And I was even awarded an upgrade. Beautiful architecture and very good breakfast.

Excellent hotel and service AND location. Right by the river and 5 minutes walk to Dam square. The service is very classy! ask the concierge they have great ideas about tours and what to do if you are on short visit.

Overall, building, lobby, room, garden, restaurant and the staffs are all near perfection.

Sad to say, our "grand" expectations were not met by Sofitel Legend the Grand. We were very disappointed with the receptionist (Mandy) who checked us in. We could have ignored some minor slipups like her fake frozen smile and cold More

Beautiful hotel with great staff! Breakfast is wonderful; they even pack takeaway breakfast if you are in a rush.

Very nice. Staff was friendly and most welcoming and we truly appreciated having a room ready when we arrived after an overnight flight. The location was excellent. We did have a buffet breakfast arranged by Tauck which also was excellent. Will definitely recommend your hotel.

We did afternoon tea. The snacks and the tea (varieties) were very tasty and nicely served. Due to a change in the service something went wrong with the explanation about the snacks and the order of the accompanying tea. The service, first a gentleman and then a lady, was very friendly. To compensate for the confusion, we were allowed to choose a type of tea.

Beautiful hotel. It's like time travel. History and class for its walls. Very large and some rooms with direct access to the streets or what is the same to the canals. One last.

Gorgeous restaurant and garden area. Art on the ceiling was a nice touch.

We truly enjoyed it, the hotel was very much aware of the unique nature of our stay and did everything to rise up to the occasion.

The oldest historical building with a chic courtyard, which does not penetrate a single sound from the street. Nice rooms, super polite staff. The only moment on the menu, for an amateur.

Beautiful experience from initial greeting to the first time in the room. The room is large, very nice. The bathroom is a little bit complicated. Starting on the left is the toilet, then a counter with mirror and electric outlet, then a walk-through shower with a door on the left side, then a sink and mirror with outlet for shaving, then a tub. Shower water wets the floor on both sides which we mopped up with towels. We also found ourselves walking through the shower frequently. The complication is when the shower floor is wet. You don't want to get your pants leg wet, but you also don't want to walk through the wet shower with shoes on. We ended up using the slippers.

We held a Corp event here. The hotel is beautifully fitted, the staff are helpful and the food good. Good AV equipment too.

The Hotel is welcoming and a delight to stay in. The staff were very attentive and could not do enough for us. Our stay was for 3 nights and now I wished we had stayed 5 nights. I would not hesitate to recommend this Hotel to any of my friends, family and acquaintances.

The hotel is in a fantastic location...within walking distance to many of the highlights of the city. The staff was amazing and recommended several restaurants during our stay. I would highly recommend it to anyone coming to Amsterdam.

The staff were extremely nice and helpful. Hotel's garden was beautiful, as well as the rooms, which I expcted to be smaller from website photos.
