Great place to have lunch or dinner at this iconic Sydney pub in the Rocks. Met with friends at the rooftop bar for Sunday lunch. Food was tasty & generous. Full bar available. This is an old pub but I liked the fact. View of Sydney harbour is spectacular. It gets very busy on weekends so get there early if you want a table.

Poor experience with dinner on a fairly quiet Sunday night. One of us ordered food which the kitchen advised was no longer available after purchase, and parts of the order were forgotten when exchanged. Getting a refund after dinner was harder than it should have been.

I ordered the slow cooked lamb shoulder - most expensive dish on the menu, at the same price I would pay at a restaurant. Received the inside of a cold lamb pie. Mostly skin, gruel and gravy slop in a bowl.

Took it back to the counter with a comment to kitchen. No apparent concern from the staff and no word from the kitchen.

Would not recommend for anything past the view from the roof. Enjoy a good sunset over the CBD but eat elsewhere!

Fantastic views but the chips and steak I got on Monday night were disappointing. The steak despite me asking for Medium was cooked rare and the chips were freezing and way too salty. Even the salad tasted incredibly salty-I assume it was the dressing. It's a shame as I was taking my cousins up here from Ireland and really wanted them to have a great experience

Came on a Saturday night for a birthday, at 7 pm. The place was packed, no room to sit. However, we eventually found a spot and ordered food. The food service was fast and quite decent (average price $20). I ordered the Chicken Schnitzel - see photo.

We were upstairs in a private room for a birthday lunch on a Sunday. So much character. It was pouring with rain but we didn't seem to mind. The chicken schnitzel was fine but the amount of gravy was ridiculous. It must have been only 40 mils! Apart from that we had a fabulous time.

I went back to The Glenmore. Thank you Lincoln for that. I love that place. It's a great spot to enjoy the beatiful harbour view and to have a great time as me an my partner had on Saturday. Awesome ambience this time matched with a wonderful meal. The roast lamb shoulder was exquisite. It will be always on of me favorites in Sydney. Compliments to the chef.

Cool laid back pub in the Rocks not far from Circular Quay. Has a very popular rooftop bar which has those popular gas heaters for wintertime. In summer not sure if they have fans for a breeze but drinking beer or cocktails from the bar should help with handling the heat. Have a cocktail menu that is quite good as well. Reasonable prices on drinks.

Perfect place to hang out for evening drink. It has heater which is amazing for those who love to sit outdoor during cold season. You can enjoy the rays of sunset. You can have great view of CBD and Opera house. It has live music and also cool staff. Ps. I only tried roof top + drink

Busy old pub. We were unable to get a rooftop table for a large group without a long wait, so we sat in a room one level down which had a lovely cross breeze on a hot day. Tasty food, good selection. Great cold drinks. Would bring out-of-towners here again!

Beautiful rooftop bar located in Sydney in the rocks. Food service is offered at the bar and there is a good selection of beer and wine. The burgers, wings are amazing, as are the views! Head up to the third level to find the bar. The second level is more cozy for a cocktail or intimate dinner.

TL;DR - Just don't.

TL;DR - Just don't.

We had three meals: chicken schnitzel; Rocks Burger; Gnocchi. All arrived on the cold side of luke-warm.
The chicken was overcooked and dry, and we're not completely convinced of the free-range claim.
The burger tasted identical to a Big Mac, although everything about the offering at McDonald's is usually a bit warmer.
The gnocchi was fairly nondescript.

A comment to a staff member on departure was met with general indifference.

The view was pretty spectacular, though.

I used to work in the Rocks area in early 80's and enjoyed this little pub. Brought back alot of wonderful memories with this recent visit. Friends doing the Bridgeclimb just 50 metres away. A lot to be said about a quaint old pub. Nothing fancy but the beer was cold and bar staff pleasant.

Lively rooftop bar in the rocks area. Some of the tables have a good view of the Sydney Opera House. Bar is self-service for both food and drinks. There s a nice mix of table sizes and heights for various groups - I went alone and would not recommend doing that - had to leave my food, drink and jacket alone on the table at one point to scurry and get myself a napkin. Food was solid; I ordered the chicken sandwich with no mayo and even though it came with mayo I was hungry and it was still pretty good. Menu is slightly elevated bar food, and I d say definitely go for drinks!

The Glenmore packs more bang for your aesthetic buck than anywhere else in the Rocks. Enjoy a cold beer at a roadside table, move upstairs for a red in a warm, fireside-style sitting room, then follow it up with a G&T on the sun drenched-harbour-view-rooftop. The men's bathroom also boasts a fantastic view of the Argyle courtyard. Get in early on a Friday or you'll be fighting the locals for a table.

It has been a while..I forgot what a great little pub it is. We had a jug of lychee & elderberry cocktail so delicious..and a share platter of cheeses, salami, prosciutto, olives etc..it was so good and just enough between two. I will try not to make it to far between drinks..oh and there is a top outdoor venue..with great views of the harbour..a must see..

We booked out the dinning room for a work gathering and it was great. Well organised bar/catering and staff very helpful and friendly. Rooftop is great too if you can get a reservation.

Lovely place if you re planning on going on a date! Got a beautiful view of the opera house and right by the harbour. However the service could be improved and the seating can be more organised on a weekend night.

Good food, great drinks and amazing views from the rooftop. This is one of our main relaxed feel-good spots. Can be quite busy but worth it. The Opera house is always breath taking and the skyline of the city gets even better at night. If you're reading this, then drop everything and get to the rooftop of the Glenmore!

We came here for a work function and booked the roof area.
We were well looked after and the area was great. It apparently was licensed to fit 40 people but we found it a good space for 20.
The food was amazing and there was plenty of it. It was well spaced out and a good variety.
We also had a drinks package which worked out well, just show your wristband at the bar and make your order.
Overall it was a great experience and I'd recommend it to others who are looking to run a work function.
I've also been here on a few occasions with a group of mates. Once again it was a great experience and the food was great.

The view from the rooftop is unbeatable. Nice old pub. Beers very pricey. Don't serve pints or schooners!!! Only schmiddies!!! Been coming here for 25 years. Love the mist spray on the rooftop.

Came here with a pram and baby for a mate's birthday lunch. Even though there's no lift, the staff were super friendly and helpful in getting us to the top level / rooftop, and then getting us a high chair when we were up there. Even on a really busy Sunday, service was excellent. It's pricey, but that's to be expected in its location.

Reasonable drink selection, okay prices, acceptable food, friendly staff, superb location.

The upstairs bar is the place to be in the evening. If you can catch the sun setting behind the bridge, the reflections in the clouds around the opera house are stunning. You need to get in early though, but 18:30 most nights all the tables are full, and they don't take bookings anymore.

The downstairs area is more of a traditional pub, a good casual place to be in the earlier afternoon.

All-in-all, a very congenial pub.

One of my favorite spots to have a beer while chilling.
They have a terrace on the second floor with it's own bar, and both smoking and non smoking areas.
From there, the view of bay makes for a pretty cool picture if you take someone who's in Sydney for the first time.
You can get some pub-like food as well.

First visit to the Glenmore Hotel. We arrived at the Hotel around 8 on a Wednesday evening and went up to the rooftop but it was packed and very noisy. We then went a floor down and found the Club room empty with a big round table for 8. Perfect! The food was ok, a bit pricey but the location, view and atmosphere made up for it.

The Glenmore has a spacious rooftop bar and dining area with great views of Cicular Quay - certainly an highlight of this pub and makes it a popular venue on warm, sunny afternoons. But be aware the stairs to the rooftop are steep and narrow - not suitable for those with mobility problems; but there are ground floor and street side dining alternatives.
