Go to the rooftop bar for drinks and food. Bookings for lunch only, no bookings for dinner first come first serve basis. Great at night but bring a jacket as it's open roof. Food is quite good for pub food. Overlooks opera house and city from top.

The view is amazing.

The view is amazing.

Snapper ceviche and prawn tacos quite good except covered in a mayo type sauce which ruined both.

The first gin, tonic and orange peel was lovely but when I ordered the second, the waitress said they didn't do orange peel so I showed my glass with the orange peel. She simply stated no??!

It's ok, we tried to get in the rooftop bar and naively being from Perth thought it would be easy on a weeknight but it was absolutely packed. It was good though but seems a bit dingy and dated now. The food was quite average also.

If you like good drinks and great views, this is the place to be.

The Glenmore is situated in the rocks and has a lot of street parking available if need be (thanks COVID)

The views from the rooftop are outstanding but make sure to book if you want a good seat as it gets full quite quickly.

The food is your typical standard pub food so nothing too exciting but the finger lime on the oysters were a nice touch.

I love this pub for the rooftop, views and old world charm. Bar service ok but someone needs to talk to the chef about the menu. Reheated chips with burgers not a winner unless your nursing a hangover. Maybe a more eatable bun could work as not everyone loves white.

This establishment has a problematic attitude toward servicing its customers. Despite its prime location, it doesn't seem to add any prestige by way of good service to the Rocks. Unless you know the place well and know the staff intimately, it's place to be avoided. The manager and the staff take no criticisms, comments, or suggestions from the customers. In fact, both the manager and the staff have an rather discerning entitled attitude toward their customers. The service is superficial and even after a friendly and caring warning nothing has changed -- in fact, both of whom want to cast the blame on the customers. I would avoid this place, again, especially if you are not a local for its unfriendly service and entitled attitude.

Spent several afternoons and evenings at Glenmore on a recent visit to Sydney. Multi level venue with Bar or space to suit almost everybody. Great dining and celebrating options suitable for couples, families, big and small groups in historic Rocks building of emmence character including large rooftop area and intimate smaller bars downstairs.

Great location and if you can get a table upstairs on the roof its got a great view.
Food is really nice and the drinks are a good price, staff friendly and attentive, also probably the nicest security guards in Sydney, They were helpful and respectful.
Highly recommend the Glenmore.

Cool rooftop bar with a fantastic view of the Sydney Opera House. At least, if you're lucky enough to sit by that one side facing the harbour.

It's not the easiest to get to when you're walking from Circular Quay but it's a nice walk with pretty historic buildings. And if you go on a weekend, there's a street fair to browse through to.

Once you find Glenmore Hotel, the rooftop bar is 3 flights up and it helps that each floor is filled with character. Once you get to the top, you're greeted by someone who takes your name and gives you an estimate wait time. There's a bar, a smoking corner, and about 20-25 tables spread throughout. A cool space to grab a drink day or night.

We had our Xmas Roth there lovely venue beautiful views lots of drinks options the food was nice, the rooftop terrace is quite exposed if it rains as the umbrellas don t quiet do a good job at covering you.

Fabulous harbour views, great rooftop and wonderfully delicious food menu... I had the grilled salmon fillet with broccolini, eschallot and Romesco sauce... need the recipe for that sauce, simply divine!!

I really liked this rooftop bar and it wasn't overcrowded when we went. Got a table and ate when we first got there and watched the lights and city skyline when it was dark. Great place to go

View good view but food a let down - $26 for a cold beef cheek curry with bland flavour and 5 small pieces of beef - mentioned it to staff who said oh next time bring it to the bar and we will look into it for you no sorry, let s take that off the bill or here choose something else well apart from the view to look at there won t be a next time for us - disappointing is an understatement

Very poor food. Costs twice the price of many pubs. Schnitzel overcooked, tough and served with almost cold unappetizing chips and a couple of leaves of unknown variety. Been here many times but food quality deteriorated.

4.5 's if I could, maybe even 5 but I don't want over crowding of this classic Australian Pub.

Everyone should visit at least once I think. The views upstairs are big enough for many to enjoy. The Glenmore still has got a great casual friendly vibe. It's everything good about Australian pubs; relaxed and not pretentious, staff seem approachable. Food prices are decent. This place looks well managed on the days I've been.

Ultimately my yardstick for a pub is I think I could start a conversation with a majority of the people that visit and enjoy the chat. It's fun give it a try.

The Glenmore is great for almost any occasion. The venue offers a typical pub-fare space, as well as more private dining rooms and a fantastic rooftop. It draws a better crowd than some of its neighbouring hotels and the food they offer is good. If you're visiting Sydney the rooftop is a great place to soak in the sun, the harbour and typical pub food.

A great place for Anzac day as they play two up! The place was packed and the atmosphere was fun and relaxed. The BBQ on the roof was great, and the wedges are amazing. I would also recommend the chicken salad. Although the prices are standard for the city the rooftop offers something special that other pubs in the area can't.

Great venue for a group event.
Wide selection of beers, wines, spirits and cocktails that can be paired with so.e very tasty bar food or meals.
Great staff each time I have been there

Asked for a cocktail menu at the rooftop bar and was told there isn't one and I need to go downstairs to order one. Seeing an impressive spread of liquor behind the bar, I asked the bartender if she could make me something with whiskey and a little fruity. She said no, it doesn't work like that and I need to get a cocktail downstairs.

Why is there liquor upstairs if I needed to go stand in the 40* second floor to get a drink?

One of my favourites if not favourite in Sydney. Manages to keep a bit of old world charm, plenty of space to explore within the hotel and the roof with fabulous views of the harbour. A little on the expensive side but not ridiculous. Good cocktails if that's your thing. Can't say I've had the good though.

Awesome classic venue with plenty of room to enjoy yourself. We had a party of 13 and ended up getting a private room upstairs. The service was good and the food came quick. Minus one star as the food was average and burger over cooked.

Amazing views of Sydney Harbour with brilliant views. The staff are wonderful, the drinks reasonably priced and the mist fans in the middle of summer offer sweet relief.

The rooftop bar has a wonderful view and great atmosphere but the rest of the experience is lacking. Ordinary food at eye watering prices, and service that was more miss than hit.

DON'T expect regular beer sizes. Instead you have to pay schooner prices for some reduced glass size known as the Glenmore Schmiddy. WTF?!? Too many great alternatives nearby so not even remotely interested in returning.

Good location, food is solid, can't imagine the beer is bad but I wouldn't know. Service has never been an issue for me. Absolutely overrun by people. Which, y'know, sure. It is a pub near the rocks.

Great views if the Opera House.

Will definitely be back with a group of friends or another work lunch

Amazing pub in The Rocks and is suitable for any type of weather. There's lovely patio on the roof with spectacular views of the harbour as well as intimate rooms to sit and catch up with friends a floor below. If that's not for you you can also go to the bottom bar on the street level which also has a patio on the sidewalk. Lots of great beers and good to choose from too!

Organised birthday party. Booked the Nook which is the bar level, very chilled relaxed vibe. Bar sevice was pretty quick. Level 2 is cocktail level and they had variety of cocktails and you can offcourse request for your own. Roof top bar was very busy as expected with view of the Sydney opera bar and the city skyline. Definetly recommend to visit this gem @ the Rocks.

I gave three stars for the staff (mainly men, it appeared) who were obliging, friendly and not short, incidentally, in the looks department. Great old pub with a good overall vibe. Missed out on a table on the upper level and settled for some seating on street level which was really enjoyable. My friend and I settled for battered fish and chicken schnitzel which was usual pub fare but the accompanying salad consisted in my case of a few limpid leaves swimming in a bit of dressing and half a cherry tomato and my friend's salad was worse, with no sign of anything else but the inner white core of some variety of lettuce - not even half a cherry tomato!

Loved this rooftop bar. Expect to have to wait for a table but the wait is worth it. I got some amazing pics of the Opera House at night. The food is less spectacular than the view but it is still delicious. We had the cheese board and salmon. The bar seems to get a little quieter after 8pm during the week in case you want to miss the crowds.

Great rooftop bar overlooking the harbour!

Great rooftop bar overlooking the harbour!

The Glenmore Hotel is one of my favourite rooftop bars. The location is easy to reach - you just need to walk up a few staircases - and you are rewarded with amazing views over the city and Sydney harbour. The atmosphere is very welcoming, the bar staff is incredibly friendly.

I recently had some lovely tacos there - the one with pineapple is different but great, I recommend it! Portion size a bit small.

The only thing I would criticise is that it can get crowded some nights and you might have to wait for a table for half an hour.

Overall, a place I keep going to.

Finally got to the rooftop bar- very busy of course- waited and waited to get served at the bar- 2 bargirls kept ignoring me- served at least 4 people till I spoke up and asked can you serve me please? She had a shocked look on her face- don t worry I will be speaking to management before I leave and won t be returning- you have just ruined our day
