Perhaps folks set the expectation too high, but the venue did not wow as much as it was hype to be. The drinks and service were good. The venue isn't always available as there were a couple of reserved sections which meant most of us just stood around or huddled somewhere.

I might come back again, but probably not for a larger group than two or three.

Busy old school pub with the best views in Sydney from the rooftop bar. Meals and drinks are reasonably priced given the location. On sunny days you need to get there early or book online to reserve a table.

We've just had a meal for 5 and I wanted to let you know your staff are so rude. Some girl with very dark eyebrows slammed our drinks as we ordered from the bar and was so unpleasant, she didn't say thank and just stared blankly she was just really rude. Also when my bf asked what does the chicken come with when ordering, another member of staff an Irish girl on the bar replied 'with what it says'.. He asked what is that, and she replied 'what it says'.. Great help!

Really rude staff guys, have a word. It's my families last night in Aus visiting and it didn't leave a great impression!

Thanks

Saturday night was pretty packed, it was everywhere and it was so great they were able to fit us in. The place itself is amazing and the service although busy was swift and to the point. A good selection of beers on tap and a number of other drinks to choose from. Definitely a good place to go with a couple of mates to grab a beer and have a good night.

One of very few Sydney pubs with a view of the Sydney opera house from their rooftop terrace. Perfect for a sunny day. I had the falafel wrap which was a bit average although all my friends meals were a lot better (steak, salads and burgers)

Sadly was not happy with the experience.
paid $28 for the Barramundi meal only to be given a bit of flavoured watery slop with only a small amount of noodles and half a bit of fish it was missing ingredients that were meant to have been in it, there was no flavour in the dish what so ever. The glasses had lip stick from previous use and the staff acknowledged you second after finishing having a good chat with their colleagues.

Pretty good service for one of the busiest days; being end of the year and a Friday. But the service to get a table despite the popularity, never tended to get anywhere. Other than that, good food, tv's around for cricket and sport. Just gets quite busy.

Decent range of beers (would be nice to see a few more craft taps) and situated in a good location

Great place for lunch or an afternoon drink

The Glenmore has impressive views and a great atmosphere at its rooftop bar. I stopped here for dinner with some friends and would recommend it, the food was good and the service was friendly and fast. While not the cheapest place in Sydney, it offers one of the best views for the price.

No comparison when it comes to location. Place is great. Unfortunately I can't say the same about the fish and chips. I understand size has shrunk but the taste is no longer there either. That is sad. Maybe the chef was having a bad day??

Georgous location with stunning views from the rooftop terrace. Cocktails are amazing, can be extremely crowded at times and food though tasty and well presented is a bit basic for the expense.

Great view of the harbor! There were only 2-3 few vegan dishes and they were not marked on the menu (only had "vegetarian" label), but I was able to order the pasta minus the cheese and it was good and also surprisingly beautiful (see photos).

Incredible view but average food. No doubt this pub has one of the best views in town, worth a visit just for that. Food-wise this is less than average. I had their Glenmore burger and I was met by a rather dry meat patty, fridge cold tomato and lettuce and barely any sauce. Won't be back for the food.

Great view of the Opera House/ Sydney Harbour from the rooftop bar! Food was great too. My friend ordered the fish and chips and it looked amazing (generous amount of fish). Ordered the fish cakes for myself and it was tasty. Just the lady who took our order at the bar was grumpy.

We had our sons birthday here with a group of friends for Sunday lunch. Every staff member and manager was so fantastic - fabulous lunch, great food, beautiful view and outstanding service. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and made it a special day for him ! Will definitely cone back and highly recommend The Glenmore !

We ate a chicken parmi and a chicken katsu burger both so yummy but the chicken parmi is wow ! You definitely want to eat on the roof top. The view is beautiful from there. Lot of people but it's easy to have a table. We also had two beers. The overall price was not so expensive. It's definitely a very good spot to eat and spend the night with friends. Maybe not the perfect place for a date due to the "pub" mood.

We had heard about this place from friends. And we were visiting for Christmas and new year from the UK we decided to book it. And we were not disappointed. The venue itself from the outside is exactly what us poms imagine and Australian pub to look like. We had tickets for the rooftop for New Year s Eve. Our ticket was all inclusive. And the food and drink were plentiful. The views spectacular. And the staff are some of the best we have experienced whilst in Sydney. Overall we have found that there is a distinct lack of customer service in Australia but the staff at the glenmore are the exception. Highly motivated and def customer focused.
We would highly recommend this place for NYE but would suggest you buy your tickets early, we bought ours late September 2019. The tickets are digital so it doesn t matter where you are in the world.

I personally love The Glenmore hotel. Love the decor and ambience and fast efficient service with incredible views of Sydney harbour and the beautiful Opera house from the roof top. the bar has great list of cocktails and other alcoholic beverages. The scanning of QR code to order from the comfort of your table and pay through your phone has made ordering of food and drinks easy and efficient. Highly recommend it.

Super fun, busy rooftop bar for all to enjoy. The wait staff was very friendly. The bartenders let you sample beers before you purchase them. The calamari was delicious (see photo). I would highly recommend this for anyone looking for a great rooftop bar to take in the views of the Sydney Harbor.

Great pub in the rocks with an excellent rooftop area. The tables out in the sun could do with a good wipe-down, the new COVID safe ordering puck on our table was pretty disgusting, everything else about the rooftop was superb.

Great atmosphere on NYE and drinks well organised and plentiful but total disaster on the food service which all went to one area. Apparently it was zoned well our server must still be looking for us. Great view of the Opera House. No view of the bridge. Also most of the guests stand all night

The best thing here is the amazing view of the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. Only downfall is, it can get crowded. I mean, really crowded, like forget about getting a place to sit, even while you're standing, chances are someone might bump into you while walking. But the service is on point, and the prices are decent too. All in all, its worth the visit.

Great place to go. The rooftop is the most popular with views right over the Quay and down the harbour. Be aware lots of others also appreciate the view. You may have to wait for a while for a table. Food is fairly good and plenty of it, and prices are commensurate with the view. Recommend to anyone to try this venue.

Went for drink wth a girlfriend. Relatively good. Vivid night. Was meant to be a chilled happy night.
Had an encounter with another patron seemingly looking for a fight.
Started dropping racist slurs. Told security. Security brought us together to deal with it. We were on our way out. Rather than kicking out the racist guy we were assured they were leaving soon.

Not great to see an Australian establishment allowing racist wack jobs to get away with their BS...

Choices galore!! There are multiple floors with nooks and crannies everywhere to cater for all tastes - sports bar, lounge room, dining room and even a huge rooftop terrace. This place was exceptionally busy on a sunny winter day and we lucked out with a table overlooking the harbour and opera house. Good selection of beers on tap which are served quickly by friendly staff. Only had a bowl fries to eat but they were cooked to perfection which suggests to me that you wouldn't be disappointed if you ate a meal here.

Having been drawn in by the many fantastic reviews...

Having been drawn in by the many fantastic reviews, my parents and I went for a casual Sunday lunch with a view. What we found left a lot to be desired.
I ordered the teriyaki katsu burger (pictured) which was alright, probably not worth the $22. My parents ordered the Glenmore burger (classic beef burger, essentially) and both were extremely disappointed and only ate half of their burgers. The patty was not cooked, the entire burger was cold and the bun was untoasted which meant it fell apart with the juices from the burger. Overall the taste was also not worth the $23 for each burger.
As the burger baskets were taken away from us, and we were asked whether everything was ok, my parents stated honestly that they did not enjoy their food and said why. The employee was very apologetic and handled it very well having refunded the cost of one burger. However, based on our experience we are unlikely to return.
