The Fox Theatre is an excellent downtown Atlanta venue for plays, musicals, concerts, and more. The staff is extremely helpful and courteous. I visited with a broken leg and they ensured that I was assisted every, uh, step of the way.
Highly recommended!

The theatre is beautiful and the show high quality. But trying to get in felt like going through airport security! Went mid-April of 2018Had to walk through metal detector and have all purses and bags searched. They took my water bottle and threw it away... the only thing they didn't do was make me remove my shoes. I understand the need, but didn't enjoy the experience.

I love the beautiful interior and exterior of the Fox Theatre, especially the ceiling inside. I really appreciate how large the ladies room is because the line moves very quickly. The sinks really need an update though because they waste a great deal of water. Food choices are limited.

Beautiful old theater but not reccommended for those with health challenges. Very dark steep multi story climb to my seat, in pain, got winded, did not see an elevator for public use. The emergency exit was right there to the outside but is another multi story descent.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE experience at the Fox Theather tonight. I just watched my dear friend -- a prominent businesswoman, lover/supporter of the arts and former student at the Alvin Ailey Summer Intensive Program (AND who paid heavily for all of our 5th row seats, by the way)... be escorted out of the opening night of Alvin Ailey tonight. Why you ask??? Because she took a picture. YES!!! In 2019, in the day of smart phones and social media, she took a photo... and was escorted out by the smug & proud Fox Theater staff. I still couldn't believe it. No warning or anything... just "ma'am, we're going to have to ask you to leave". This whole NO PHOTOS during shows thing is a complete joke. Like, people are going to take photos of the show and if you don't want your show being photographed... go dance in your basement where no one can watch. Don't invite the public, ask people to pay money for tickets and then throw them out over some silly red tape. ANDDDD... IT WAS SWELTERING IN THERE!!!! I missed Hamilton, so this was actually my first time at the Fox (and first time seeing an Alvin Ailey performance)... but definitely my last... at BOTH.

I watched the performance called Finding Neverland. The performance was really great! I was expecting more from the building and crowd though. The building was kind of gross and damp, concessions took 25 min, bathroom is a ridiculous maze, and parking is confusing. This may be standard, but don't forget you have to go through security at the beginning and they confiscate pocket knives. Also everybody was in jeans. It was more casual than I expected.

We saw the nutcracker and the performance was great, orchestra included! The bathrooms at intercession were insane, keep kids in same stall and do your Best to use the restroom before going.

Saw The Illusionists

Saw The Illusionists
Basically a magic show in TOO LARGE a place! Card tricks in a large auditorium?? Needed a screen above to project show and I was in middle orchestra! Low def projection.

Worst part? Despite saying in playbill NOT to use cellphones EVERYONE in two rows in front of me had cell phones videotaping the show--I COULND T SEE BECAUSE OF GLARE!

I asked the ushers to do something--nothing done!

I left before the first intermission and didn t go back--a LOT of other people left too.

I have wasted a LOT of money getting these tickets. I have to stay over night in Atlanta as I live too far away to drive home after.

I would LOVE to get my money back! When I see a play in Broadway they do NOT allow people to have cell phones on and taping shows. What s the deal?

I adore this place, I have seen everything from BB King to Wicked to a screening of Casablanca. All of which have been spellbinding and fantastic. There aren't many historic places like the Fox left in Atlanta. It is a must see.

It is really impressive that the box office can still pick up the phone immediately during pandemic. Really appreciate their hard work. We've had so many wonderful experience here, can't wait to come back.

A true Atlanta institution, the Fox is a great place to watch a concert, a Broadway show, or even just an old movie. The beautiful star-dotted ceiling and vintage styling make for a lovely environment for any experience with incredibly helpful staff and some of the fanciest bathrooms in the city

My mother-in-law came to visit and took my husband and I to see a Christmas theme Cirque du Soleil play. I for the life of me I cannot remember the name of it right now. But it was very very cool! Love the historic look let every Fox Theater I've ever been to has, but especially this one.
