Great old fashioned pub. Great atmoshphere. Good location. Had a great night there with friends. Food was awesome. Great spot to watch sports. Only downside was the quality of the mundine and horn fight. Will definitely return next time i am in melbourne.

Very nice eye fillet cooked to perfection. Lovely Greek salad that was magically low-FODMAP upon request. Chips were weirdly big but nice. Loved the late 90s live music (guy with a guitar). Nice way to spend an evening between Harry Potter theatre sessions on a Sunday.

It's ok.. I wouldn't take someone I was trying to impress there.
It is what it is.. an old pub. The beers are beers, the food underwhelming. I went there with a couple of family friends for a quick feed and some drinks. I ordered a beef burger with the lowest expectations. Meat was over cooked and dry, chips were under cooked and over salted.
This place is meh, that's all I can really say. I wont go back, plenty of better places in the city.

A wannabe English tavern,

A wannabe English tavern,
If you can't pour a Guinness then you can't put yourself into the classification of an English Tavern.
It's poorly lite, terrible customer service and over priced food.

Weekend back in Melbourne, had lunch here. Lovely old pub atmosphere, lots seats/tables inside and outside. Good location. Staff friendly. Ordered fish and chips, had to return our meals as only just warm. Were served fresh hotter meals, fish was delicious however the chips not so. Wine expensive. If in area, would probably pay a return visit but not for food.

Returned to this pub after 3 years and found it to be absolutely lousy! Almost no table service, had to lay our own table, order food from the bar counter, collect it ourselves, and the food was extremely average! Must say, shame to see this lovely pub fall to bits. McDonald's would have been a better option were it not for the selection of beers....

Place smells like lingering flatulence. Bad, rowdy live acoustic music on the ground floor forces you up a level. Space up here is cramped and even more stuffy. Another level reveals an attempt to draw in a younger? upper middle bogan crowd.. It's like another planet compared w the other levels with its stark white, overly bright lighting. Just awful. Wall photography where we were sitting on level 2 was photos The Beatles would have destroyed if they knew existed as they were clearly rejects. Staff were nice. Food was below average and way too salty.

Pretty standard fare for a British themed pub in a city outside Britain. While you probably won't be disappointed, it's unlikely to become your new all-time favourite place. They've a reasonable selection of beer, and the food is pretty good.

Very good pub food.

Very good pub food.
Fairly good value for money. Bar tenders can sometimes be a bit clueless.

Had a most disgusting tasteless food ever in my life. Totally rude managers and filthy dirty Venue. I can see the cockroaches running around and have no idea why the place is not been shut down by council yet. Lucky that there was no cockroaches in my food nevertheless the roast was overcooked to a point where it's good for bin, the Yorkshire pipudding was a joke. The gravy was full of powder and have no taste at all. The floor staff takes no interest in their work and customer service is something not to expect from this place. For the amount they charge for their food it's better to dine at McDonald's at least you will get a clean place to sit. Totally waste of time and money. Never be back again.

Good basic pub with a good vibe, as with the whole of Australia drinks and food can be expensive compared to the UK and a surcharge is added to all purchases for opening on public holidays but it's nice to sit, have a drink and watch the world go by.

Terrific pub, had a lovely prawn and boiled egg baguette for only $10. Typical English pub type decor and a range of comfort food available for reasonable prices. Would recommend for a casual meal. Also has a disabled toilet on the ground floor.

What a dive..

What a dive..
No service at all.
Made my elderly parents carry their plates of food upstairs.. who doesnt have have table service in 2017..
Stalls we sat in were filthy and dated back to the 70s.
Was so loud that with drunks that we couldnt even hear ourselves talk..
Girls woudlnt take orders upstairs insisted we go downstairs then dosnstairs said go back up..
Fix this dingy old pub up and earn that respect back

Has an old fashioned pub feel to it. If that is what you're looking for. A reasonable amount of different beers on tap ranging from your standards to Guinness and some names I haven't heard of before.
