Good venue. Have done a good job with social distancing. Not 100% ideal for pram, as theirs a lot of reliance on lifts...

Other than that, only people's inability to follow the rules was the problem. And I'll not blame a venue for poor education

Nice

Really enjoyed coming here with my family. Great that once you paid u get to come for a year free fantastic. Can get round it pretty quick tho but im sure if you read and look at everything it would last a day. Restaurant and cafe are reasonably priced and nice food also there is a picnic area. Gift shop is cheaper than most iv seen good selection

Came here today and was hugely surprised, wasnt just your standard aquarium, was quiet dynamic and had loads to see, plenty of diffrent species of fish, loved the penguins and the frogs. Would highly recommend here.

Fun, but:
A) information is not provided on all creatures. For instance - I wanna know about sea urchins! They're as fun as all hell but they weren't even labelled.

B) the penguin enclosure felt small, miserable, and not reflecting a natural habitat. I'm no expert, but I'm not sure that penguins would typically hang out by a small plastic fake snow slope next to a jetty?

Fantastic! A great sea life venue with awesome decor and design. Very well set out and easy to follow without missing any exhibits. Very disabled friendly. Cafe, toilets and gift shop.
Better than some other sea life centres I've previously visited and cheaper to get in too!!

Great exhibits, wide range of interesting species. Working as well as they can with covid restrictions. Great for kids of different ages, and adults too! And great that they extend the ticket for a year, fantastic value.

Visited August 2020, regular visitor. I think I kinda prefer it with the restrictions lol. Less ppl so you get time to properly view things without it being swamped. they've been busy doing some upgrades during lockdown and it shows, it's more polished and I really like the many new computer displays where you can find out all about what your looking at. Star attraction for me is the Potato Grouper. With lips like that what else do you need? Haha. The Deep is well worth a visit for any age but especially those with young kids like me. They love it. Added bonus you get a years free entry when you pay the once, so you can't argue with that. Excellent value and a truly great thing they are doing for ocean life and education. Well done

Superb aquarium. The children loved the fishes and the exhibits. The food is great and affordable. The queues to get in horrendous though especially made worse by an electricity shortage on the day which meant that for some time no one could be checked. Maybe someone could separate the customers between those who ordered online and those who are returning customers otherwise it simply defeats the idea of advanced online booking. Great day out though!

Very good attraction, only downside was the huge queue to get in. There should be a fast track lane for those that have pre-booked and paid. Staff at check-in desk were friendly. We found watching the ants go from one location to another intriguing (don't worry it was an exhibit not an infestation lol). The cafe was very busy but we got a table easily enough. Good choice of snacks and drinks at reasonable prices.

Great place to walk around with the kids. It's the first time we've been since lockdown & having booked a 9am slot, it was nice and quiet to walk around, no crowding at any of the tanks. There's plenty of varieties of fish to look at, with the sword nose shark a personal favourite!
The only problem we had (which stops it being 5 star) is that there were no seats anywhere! My better half is currently breast feeding our baby, but there was no where for her to feed the little one whilst walking round.

It's not anywhere near the level of a sealife center or London aquarium, made worse by the fact it was so busy.
Don't go there during school holidays.

Edit following response from the deep: the management knowing that the facility was going to be seriously over capacity is entirely their responsibility and makes having been there on the day even worse, as a customer who has never been before I can not make that judgement from outside or before I left my house 70 miles away.

Worth a look but nothing special. Kids enjoy it but you seem to get round quite quickly so i wouldn't call it value for money. I've been to better aquariums with more fish than this. It hasn't really changed much in the 7yrs since I last went and unless you really enjoy going gift aid for a years free entry is a waste of time.

I appreciated the interactive activities cities built into the exhibits on a reasonably regular basis. Went with 2 very young grandchildren, both under 3, who had something to look at, touch or explore .

My only quibble is that a communal place for eating packed lunches could apparently only be accessed after the tour had been taken. Ine hungry grandma and 2 ravenous toddlers were parked up on a seating area partway through munching away, but it wasnt the best look.

Eat before you leave, enjoy the excellent staging , eat your packed lunch or take advantage of the canteen, and make sure you take purchase the very reasonably priced ticket which let's you on again several times. Superb value.

We really enjoyed our experience today.

There was a little bit of a wait, even though we arrived in time, because they are taking photos of groups, I think as your ticket allows you to return again within 12 months.
Once we were in, it was really clear which way to go to follow the one - way system and staff members were helping direct people to stairs/toilets/lifts. It didn't feel overly busy or crowded, which was really nice.

A great experience really! Thanks to all.

A great family day out, we and our children like visiting here. The only downside is a long queue if you don t arrive early enough! No shelter from the elements on the bad days either. All in all, a great few hours out

This was a spectacular place with some stunning sea creatures. That I didn't even know exist. From multicoloured frogs to giant sharks this place has it all. The tickets were all year entry. There was a glass luff looking in to a giant cage with tunas sharks and stingrays.
