What a place to visit! Seriously impressed with the size, internally when it looks so small from the outside. The exhibits are stunning and you can see a lot of care and thought have been put into it all.

Paying once, gets you in for free for a year so a bargain if you think about it.

The food is amazing, snacks not too expensive.

its really an amazing place for adults and kids alike.

Great family afternoon out!

Great family afternoon out!

We'd heard about The Deep from friends and family that had been before, so decided to take a trip when we were staying near by.

We booked our ticket online as they are cheaper than if you buy them at the entrance. You receive a code via email that you just use at the entrance. A bonus is that your tickets are valid for 12 MONTHS! This means that you can have unlimited visits for the next year! Bargain!

The aquarium is split over multiple levels with large tanks mixed in with smaller tanks for the smaller creatures on display. The large tanks are very impressive and feature lots of larger creatures like Stingrays and Sharks.

There is a tunnel walkway, and though its rather short, it is still quite thrilling to see the larger fish swimming overhead. On the way out of the main area, there is a lift that looks out into one of the larger tanks. This is also quite exciting as you feel like you are inside the tank when the lift is ascending. It pauses half way up for about 30 seconds so you can take in the fantastic view.

With the tickets valid for a further 12 months, we'll no doubt visit again.

Lots of fish are being saved.
Very nice place and a variety of fish.

The kids loved it at the deep and I liked the fact that you can go back with your ticket (they take photos, so you cannot pass on your ticket). There were a few activities along the way, although a couple of them were not working. We liked the lift which was glass so you could see the sea life.. but there was a long cue for this. At the end, we did look at each other and say is that it? That, and a few broken activities is why I ve only rated 4 stars. The kids did like it, and there is a decent shop at the end with over priced bits (which you come to expect in places like this).

Enthralling and educational, The Deep will reawaken your childhood sense of wonder. We loved watching the turtles, and the speedy penguins under water! I defy anyone to leave uninspired!

Erm ok! not great more TV screens than actual real life fish. Not many big sharks the penguins put on the best show when they was in the water.Few snakes and bugs not sure what that was about very expensive gifts at the end for what they was.

Fab place to visit with family, tickets are reusable for a year and when you have a toddler prone to moods and general bugs it's very handy. Carpark is a little overpriced, it gets full but I think the pricing should reduce in the afternoon and not just evening.

Stunning in every single way and full of amazing things to see at a steal of a price. I wholeheartedly recommend stopping here if you live in Hull, live near Hull or just happen to be passing near Hull on a road trip.

The museum is full of amazing sealife, interesting information, interactive displays that are great to use for all ages, wide open spaces to relax in, multiple viewing spots for various exhibits and knowledgeable staff with an emphasis on variety of sealife and sustainability/ecology. Visit it.

Very interesting but I think it is not ideal for the younger child as some of it is very educational and a bit above some children's understanding. Nice restaurant and also a seating picnic area for those who bring their own food. Quite expensive to get in though but the tickets last for a year and you can return as many times as you like in that year.

Good little aquarium with lots of interesting facts and animals. We went when it was half term and therefore was full of kids so very loud and hard to view the animals so I suggest if you want more of a peaceful look around, don't go when the children are off! :)
That said there is a child's play area if you do bring your children and some displays are lower for them to see along with interactive signs.

I've been coming here for years and it is set out wonderfully! There's a lot of different species here with a lot of information. They even have penguins and feeding times, you can see the penguins from different angles throughout the deep.
Great selection of food and drink at the cafe and excellent customer service.

It's basically an old fashioned aquarium but with only a few very very large tanks. It's cleverly laid out so it feels much bigger than it is and one admission let's you in all year. Bank holidays though have queues right out the door and full car parks.

We love it here and the pay once and get in for the whole year is great! They have extra activities and little shows for the kids to watch and get involved with too! My youngest loves going!

Lovely aquarium. Although the penguin enclosure could be bigger and more stimulating for them (bit cruel the setup). The rest is nice and clean and fairly spacious for animals in captivity. Great place to take children! Once finished with the tour the lift taking you back up to the exit always has a huge queue waiting but that's inevitable so ensure kids are fed and and watered sufficiently before trying to leave! There's stairs available for those who aren't using pushchair or wheelchair and in a rush

Amazing place, we got married there in 2009 and have continued with annual membership. We take our grandchildren, lots of new additions, (not Covid related). This is a safe venue with limited numbers permitted, regular sanitizer stations and one way system.

Beautiful, the fish are highly cared for and the staff were brilliant. Cannot fault the place aside from the suggestion of a possible quite hour as it was very loud in certain parts, for those who struggle with loud noises.

You wouldn't find anything like this anywhere. Two Swordfish the only ones in the country to mention just one of the 100's of fish and even penguins to see. Certainly the biggest in the country and the information given about everthing big or small. Thought it would be good and Oh boy it was. 10 stars in my mind.
