Loved it here. I would recommend the aquarium to anyone who enjoys looking at and learning about marine life regardless od their age. We were a group of mid twenty year olds and still enjoyed the time we spent here. It took us around 2 hours to complete it and for the small price you pay to get in you can't complain. Plus there is an option for you to have a free return visit within a year should you so wish. There were plenty of staff members around to ask questions should you want to along with plenty of information boards for you to read. We did not have food here so I cannot comment on the quality or price. My only gripe is that you have to pay for parking but as the entry fee is low it still didn't work out to be that costly. Overall it is very affordable and educational but interesting.
One of the first places of this kind in the UK. Still amazing and with going to but has been outdone by the more modern places in othe cities like hull for example
A must see in Hull and you can go back all year for the same price as one visit
You only pay once and you go the whole year for free and I love the many different fish and other animals
Beautiful aquarium, friendly staff, well laid out with lots of information about the animals and their evolution. My son loves to come here and because it is well priced we can bring him again and again. Lots of Easter activities for families to enjoy and even a mascot.
Worth a visit. Nice cafe, quick service. Unfortunately about a third of the interactive exhibits were not working. Fix them and I'll give you 5 stars.
Apart from a few educational stands not working (what a surprise at a venue in the UK!!)
This is a really good day out ... very reasonably priced and includes a year long pass to come back for free. Brilliant for kids from 4 to 40
Lovely aquarium. Clean and tidy. Lots of chances to stop on the way around to go to the loo or grab a bite to eat. Would be a good day out if you have young children.
Mixture on reading and just looking at all aspects of the sea. And of course the penguins
Amazing facility but far too busy and because of the lighting required for the creatures it was very difficult to keep track of your children
Fantastic day out, such a well designed building. Also cafe is excellent value which makes a change! We used Tesco Club card vouchers so was a few visit and can return again all year. Highly recommended.
Smaller than expected but still very good and educational. Has a soft play for the small ones as well
A bit under whelmed. The glass tunnel is only about 6 feet long.
Great place to visit. Went for our grandsons 7th birthday he and his 2yr old brother had a great time.
Lovely attraction! Lots of interesting things to keep both adults and children interested.
Yes we went in school holidays but....
Very disorganised, queued nearly an hour to get to car park to be told full and if able to park elsewhere there was still over an hour queue to get in, could we go back later? Simple answer 'no' as we had a ferry to catch. We had Tesco vouchers which could not be refunded so went back on the way home so we didn't waste them even though we'd had alternative plans for that day, but that was nearly as bad.
A friend had booked on line and had same problem, no fast track even though she had booked and paid in advance and she ended up getting a refund. Perhaps they need to consider timed entry during busy periods?
Once you have paid you get a 12 month pass and maybe this is part of the problem as all the locals were going back free and could get there early, maybe this should exclude school holidays or only be after a certain time?
Disappointed.
Really enjoyed the day. Been years since i was there last. Highly recommend it
Need more disabled toilet with a proper changing table . Brilliant day trip to the deep.
Good aesthetic, fun ,love the aquarium. Good food as well , nice place to visit.
An amazing place to visit and would recommend this a a must when visiting Hull
The Deep, since it opened, has been Hull s number one Tourist attraction and one of the most visited aquariums in the UK.
With sharks, penguins, rays, sea turtles, frogs, reptiles and thousands of differ fresh and salt water fish species, there is a lot to see there.
The best thing is the year long membership scheme. Buy one ticket and register for membership and don t have to pay again for a full year which is great value.
While the finale of the tour still needs updating, the Deep is a fantastic place to visit if you come to Hull.
Lovely place not far from us. And a family ticket is valid all year
So visit as many times as you like in that year.
Amazing place, our daughter loves visiting and well worth it. Especially if you go back within the year.
I thoroughly enjoyed this experience and found that each exhibit was very well planned and nicely laid out. There was lots of information on the ways about the exhibits and sea life which was also very interesting. The layout of the whole building was definitely different but certainly enjoyable especially with the amount of sensory and interactive activities. I also like the fact that when you pay for the visit they take your picture allowing you to come back at any point for free in the following 12 months after your visit which is very handy and definitely saves a bit of money. The only downside to the whole visit was the fact that it gets very very busy and the viewing windows to the exhibits are very small so sometimes it's hard to see all of the exhibits. Other than that I found the experience very pleasant and will definitely be back again soon. A must do is the glass sea tank lift which takes you to the exit via inside the giant fish tank.
Brilliant place pay once to go all year great half day out and always changing the layout
Great place. Very educational. And the kids loved it. BUT, the interactive parts could do to be updated, the soft play area height allowance needs reiterating to staff and the food is waaaaayyyyyy over priced.
Always enjoyed The Deep. This was my first trip post lockdown. Went on a weekday, it felt like they'd done an excellent job making it feel safe and the lower numbers actually made it easier to see the fish.
Amazing aquarium and great value for money. Puts other well known aquariums to shame
Love the deep there does need to be more use of the space something for the kids or even more interactive things for ppl with learning difficulties
It's a must see experience. Great fish and sea creatures. If you like taking pictures get ready for full day out.
Really good. Much better than Sea World in Birmingham
My first visit and loved it. Got 12 months free to visit again tickets for free at the desk as well. Defo visit this place its magical
Fantastic day out. Even with social distancing and one way system in place it's still great.
Really enjoyable for children and even informative enough for adults to learn things
fantastic range and well presented and organised. Tickets are annual! Amazing tank tunnel
Prefer the sealife centre at Blackpool
But the kids liked it
The penguins are brilliant and they try hard to preserve underwater life.
Great day out, some great sea creatures.Worth a visit.
Great day out. My 8 year old and 8 month old both loved it!!
Great aquarium. Enjoyed the talks and interactive sections.
Great experience and good place to take kids to. Food not so great, better be prepared yourself.
When it comes to keeping the kids entertained and educated, this place never fails
One of the best places we have visited as a family. So interactive for children and adults.
It's very amazing place we had very great family time and we had fun and there is a fantastic sea view
Very recommended the deep
Great aquarium and lots to do for kids. Great value too.
Absolutely fabulous place.5 stars - though the shop wad do commercial and could have done with a greater variety of books - there was little for adults. But the rest wad great- well worth another bis it!
Really enjoyed it. Staff are dotted about all over with little facts about the deep. The signs are very informative and have little snippets and fun facts! Good day out and well worth the money
A fantastic place to get around with great views of all the wildlife and sharks. You can get here from the Railway station.
Wow, just wow, and actual saw fish, almost extinct and they have two about 4 metres in length, brilliant day for the money and you can go as many times as you like for the following 12 months, food was well priced too.
Had a great day, and with the long parking time we had a chance to walk into Hull. Well laid out with some great aquariums. Some interesting species, we are keeping our tickets so we can visit again in the next 12 months!
Real good place to teach the younger generation about the world.
Great place for all ages, well arrange journey around the exhibits with good information/description placards and interactive displays. Check on the feeding times for the Gentoo Penguins it's worth making your way there for one of the times during your visit. As they also have a keeper explaining more about the characters of these guys. With two eateries and reasonable prices for the food and drink as well as having child portions they represent a value for money option.
If you are able to take advantage of the option to use your ticket for further visits, this makes the entry fee even greater value.
Nice wee day with the kids .. Was shorter than expected though.
Well I have to say I wasn't expecting much after reading the reviews ... How wrong !! The Deep is Fantastic! and even at the worldly wise age of $%. I was enthralled bewondered and thoughly facinated.. the staff were knowledgeable and obligingly helpful. The interactive learning tools brilliant, but the Stars of the show, have of course to be the fish Were truly amazing !! .. Even without the special offer of free entry for a year from your ticket purchase date .. I would still return time and time again !! WELL DONE HULL RHE DEEP IS FAB!!
Not what I thought it would be. Thought it be more variety and peak times you can't move.
