We had an excellent family day out, this was a nominated venue for our meet with two young children. We thought that it would be an interesting and entertaining day out. One child 6 and the other 3. The Deep was fabulous in so many ways, fabulous fish and other aquatic animals to see. We did visit during the school holidays and felt that it was rather crowded. You had to move with the crowd.

The Deep was more museum than I anticipated, more engaging for the 6 year old child with interactive quiz style games. The fish were fabulous.

We took a picnic and sat in the indoor picnic area to eat our pack up. there weather wasn't fab on the day so it was a little busy at 12 noon.

All in all a good day out and great to spend time with the family, seeing animals we had not seen before.

Was excellent to take the family, with informative staff members doing talks at certain stages and very interactive during feeding times. The glass lift is fab and the fact it pauses half way up so you are fully immersed in the large tank is a great way to round off the trip.
The cafe is nice but what you expect, not totally over priced but prob more than you would normally pay..obviously. would say 2 to 3 hours is enough though.

Great day out for an older 4+ child. My 3yr old ran round so quickly we went round twice. There are penguins, fish, sharks and interesting facts. There is a nice cafe, serves standard canteen style lunches, sandwiches , drinks, snacks and cakes. You can turn your ticket into an annual free pass so you can return as often as you like fitly a year.

Ok

A great place to visit. This was my second visit and my baby girl loved it. Lots of different things to see plus lots of factual information to read. The only thing I wasn't 100% on is the new penguin exhibit which is very small compared to others I've seen. Far from ideal.

Superb experience, lots of interesting facts are given as you walk around the area. But I must also mention the part at the end of the journey, it gives you a time to think a bit more about the human influences that are affecting certain dangers in the world. Because of this I rated 5 stars, its important that we are being informed about these issues.

Good place for the whole family, with lots to see. The food in the cafe is good quality and relatively cheap. It only takes about an hour to get around the place, which is the only down side really.

Interesting place to visit in a great location, important for us all to see the effects of climate change and what we are doing to the oceans as well as seeing lots of interesting sea life. Decent cafe.

Nice

Great for education. Covid aware. Bonus to revisit for free all year after paid once. Only negative, due to covid, you have to keep moving and can't take as much time as you might like in normal visits to sit and enjoy large tanks but this is understandable at present. They are doing a great job in tricky circumstances and staff were pleasant

I have been here before and I would recommend everybody to come to this wonderful place in Hull. This is one of my favourite places and it has a beautiful cafe and it is a beautiful and lovely place for both adults and children to visit.
Last time I went with my family I loved every moment of it. It is expensive but it is worth visiting especially if you want to enjoy and want to have a wonderful day especially by making it into a very interesting day to visit a glorious and beautiful place to visit The Deep in Hull which was well appreciated by me and all my family. In adding once again I wanted to say that all of the staff whom work at The Deep are all exceptionally marvellous and kind people themselves. I wanted to say that the owner of The Deep in Hull is an exceptionally marvellous and magnificent person as well and the owner is an exceptionally diplomatic person as well and the owner is an exceptionally dedicated and hard working person filled with the highest standards of excellence.
I would once again recommended everybody in the whole world to come and visit this exceptionally beautiful and marvellous place in Hull which is The Deep itself and all of the people that visit The Deep are all exceptionally marvellous people themselves.

Going round the Deep was brilliant but the restaurant was awful... the food was very poor, my salad was just lettuce and one cherry tomato ... and as for the fish n chips my son got it looked as if it was cooked last week and saved..staff unhelpful when I complained... never again.

Good place for kids. Tickets can be reused for another 12 months which is good value. It's not huge so take your time going round. Canteen isn't amazing but to be expected in places like this. My two year old enjoyed it.

I love this place and so does my teenagers! Weve been there at 3 different times, ones when my oldest was only 1,5. The next time we went he was 5-6 and our other son was about 2-3. They were both mesmerized with the fish and skeletons! Last time was only a few weeks ago and kids are now 15 and 13 and still just as exited as when they were little! I love the big pool with the sharks and sting rays and turtles and the whole thing about this place! There is no age limit as you appreciate different things at different stages in life. We will come here again!

Promises more than it delivers. The large box is very impressive with the sharks and rays, the penguins have little space. A tropical water aquarium with coral. The other bins were in the overhaul. Lots of messy and non-working devices in between.

Great.

We stopped off at The Deep on our way home from holiday. We absolutely loved it. It was totally different to any aquarium we've been to. We loved the ice wall and our kids loved the different activities available.

We had a 1:1 experience morning booked. It was well worth the money. We learnt so much and had some amazing opportunities to interact with some of the fish. Our guide was brilliant, very friendly and knowledgeable.

Great Place to visit, certainly much, much better value than sea life centres in my opinion, all the creatures look in the best of health and the staff seem to really care, although it's a 400 mile round trip for us it's worth every penny
