Another great visit. Grandchildren love looking at the penguins jellyfish and shark tank
It's okay not as good as expected but killed a few hours
A great day out. One of our party was disabled and used one of the free motorised scooters. Everything was accessible. Re entry anytime in the next year is a real bonus a definitely something I will take advantage of. Staff were incredibly helpful. Well done to everyone at the deep.
A lovely day out so much to learn and look at it will be amazing when to new lagoon is open
Experience as a whole was great, amazing exhibition of beautiful marine life. Only let down was the school dinner-esque food, both morning and afternoon. But we didn't go to eat the fish. Take a pack up!
We've had an excellent time at The Deep. There's so much to see x so interesting learning about all the different kinds of fish also the environment. There are so many hands on things for the children to get involved in.
Face masks during queuing up, and then the minute you get inside I didn't see any adults continue to wear mask or adhere to the social distance. Staff cleaning but not advising people on face covering or distance.
Aye it's alright. Lots o big fish, some sharks to. It is pretty deep too
Great place, lots of info. Good for the whole family.
Nice to get out for a few hours but I swear I remember this place being bigger? just didn't seem to have much in it compared to last time I came years n years ago. Still my baby girl enjoyed a look around and we kept her entertained 13.90 for a day or same price for a years pass cannot go wrong with that really.. we will return sometime but not really in a rush.
Haven't been in a lot of years, was just as amazed by everything as I was the first time. Stopped for food in the cafe on site, lovely food and really nice staff.
Great place for spending time with family, recommended for everyone
Large aquarium with at least a couple of hours worth of sealife to look at. There's also free entry if you return within a year.
Brilliant family day out nothing more needed to be said
Great the kids liked it 9 &5 years old got a ticket so we can return. They enjoy the food also.we liked the divers in the tank waving at the children.educational too.took photos so they can take them to school.both we Great grandparents.and the children had a lovely afternoon. Thank you.
Great place so educational and so proud for it to be in Hull
It's ok but a lot of the interactive stuff hasn't changed since it opened and some of it still doesn't work since we were there 2 years ago
Amazing displays of some quite huge fish, sharks, turtles, penguins and reptiles, all accompanied by useful and interesting information and talks. We were really impressed with The Deep and will definitely be returning with our year pass (included in the price of a single admission). We also visited the restaurant and were extremely impressed with the quality of the food, an aspect of many aquariums which can often resemble an extortionate school dinner service. The main tank, with its walkway and final great glass elevator which ascends past jaws and his many nervous tank mates is tremendous.
Always brilliant, the kids loved it and they did a cracking job of maintaining the experience despite covid
The Deep is a great place to visit with loads to see and do and is deserving of 5 stars because of this. However, due to our experience with staff whilst there I can't recommend it as such.
There after it felt like we weren't welcome. It felt like we were being stalked by staff who clearly wanted us out of the exhibition.
In all The Deep is great and is very insightful and educational. Just don't visit after 5...
Very good, lots to see and do, restaurant is good too
kids loved it and very informative. bit of a queue but nothing bad
Brilliant place for all ages, I've been here 7 times so far in the past four years and its just as amazing as it was the first time.
Also has a great cafe with tasty low price food and a picnic area for those who bring their own.
The kids loved it. Though I do think it's depreciated over the years. Lovely to watch the penguins being fed
The most amazing place I must admit we went up and down the glass lift a few times to see the sharks and turtles so close.
Loved it frist time we have been definitely going again
Had a first great time at the deep would go again definitely when all the touch pools and everything is back open again
Takes about 30 minutes to get alway round it not a lot to do waste of money don't know how the entrance fee is justified.
A unique concept in marine conservation, display and education. The building itself is worth studying and reflects the actiivies presented here. Dedicated enthusiastic staff ensure a rewarding and exciting time in the walk through exhibition.A wealth of information and explanation presented will captivate visitors of all ages .A return visit is a must for anyone keen to gen up on marine life and conservation of our vital resources. GREAT DAY facilitated by such friendly and helpfull staff.
Too busy, the penguins didn't look to have enough room
Fantasic place to go doesn't matter how old you are !! Situated on the side of the river Humber with view from the cafe of the famous bridge
The deep has lots of interactive things for you to use on you journey from the top reef down to the deep (the reef is under maintenance at the moment so you cannot see any of the brightly colour fish you would normally see ) there are still loads of things to do and see on your journey down in to the deep ,the staff I spoke to were very friendly helpfull there is a great play area at the bottom for the very young the tunnel is amazing
Very good. Obviously very popular with children so if you don't want to have lots of little people try to go off peak. Also the ticket is now valid for a year for repeat entry if wanted.
Great place que system ting and treadiois and needs reviewing
It's a nice experience but there's not all that much there, the tickets last for a year though, so once you've been you can always come back for free
Amazing to see the underwater homes of various fish. Other interesting exhibits too such as jelly fish and crabs. The keepers were friendly and full of information.
Really disapointed with this! The best part was closed
Nice place to visit very busy at times but interesting place
It is a very nice place, besides the entrance is cheap, getting lost there is difficult since everything is very well distributed, the only downside is the restaurant is very expensive and the food is mediocre.
We visited during Feb half term - the other comments I read about the queue we quite correct. we arrived just before 10am and there was a small queue when we got in the queue was all down the side of the building.
We used Tesco vouchers to pay for our tickets and this was a simple process to buy and also use. To be honest the price with the vouchers was just about right as the price on the door is quite expensive for what there is.
There is a lot of non fish space which is explaining timelines which for a child is not that interesting, the fish on display are good and there was a lot of activities to take part in during the day.
We queued for the lift ride which given the time we waited was a bit of an anti climax but the place was busy the day we visited.
this is an absolutely fantastic experience....used to go there lots as a kid....still do now but not as much as before. The Deep is more better for your kids...preferably 5 - 12 years old. If it is raining and your kids are totally bored (like can't play out or go out) i would recommend taking them out to an absolute amazing indoor experience. Your kids would love you forever! They are penguins, lots of different types of fishes, sharks, swordfishes, octopuses, an icy part (where the walls are slippy), a colouring section, you can have tours, sting rays, an underwater tunnel, a lift made of glass which goes up or down the water, a cafe, sweets, crisps and lots more!!! The Deep is probally (in my opinion) the best place in Hull. please please please please please visit The Deep, you'll regret it if you don't!
Great place to visit. Loads to see , watch , & do (for kids). Great Cafe good prices & choice too
From the outside it doesn't appear to be that big but once you are inside there is so much to see and do. Definitely worth a visit.
Great plaice to visit. Had a whale of a time. Great for families or individuals. Suggest you take the plunge!
Lovely place, perfect to spend a nice time with your child.
Sleepover with our cub scouts. Great staff and a unique experience.
Great place to vist especially on a rainy day. Can be very busy. The restaurant was not great. You have to pay for your parking. Accessible with prams and wheelchairs
Just too busy to be worth the trip. Can hardly see anything due to the sheer quantity of people with pushchairs who have all entered at the same time. I recommend staggering entry so that it's not such a bottle neck.
Verry nice place, lots do do nice cafe overlooking the water
Absolutely love this place lots to see staff on top of keeping it clean loved the penguins
Great interactive place to take kids for a fun and educational day out.
Very good place to visit especially with children. Sometimes very busy and takes a while to be able to see the fish. Doesn't take too long to walk around.
Thought this place be good as it's a big building but to me they seem to have wasted space by just putting all the creatures if the deep in one place not enough viewing areas at busy times ethier however enjoyed the penguins and the seahorses
Such an amazing place to take the kids and teach them about the animals of the ocean.
Awsome place. Really good learning experience for the kids as well. Spent a good amount of time here. Food is fantastic and very reasonably priced
Impressive! We spend amazing day there my kids been so happy we gonna come back.
Excellent busy but able to walk around with a buggy
Quite a big place, lots of fish to l at. Spent 2 hours inside. Went on a Saturday morning, long queues 20 mins wait. Lots of young kids so very busy and noisy.
We had a great few hours exploring the whole place. You start on the 3rd floor and work you way down which means you don't miss a thing. You get to see all the tanks from several angles which is good. And it's all very clear and well maintained. Lots to see and you can easily spend 3 hours + and still see more on a return visit.
My one year old loved this. Seems to be well placed for all ages. You got or old! Very much worth a visit.
Tickets... are for a year which is really good. Cues can be long but they go quick. No more than 20min cue. (Seems silly tho as we booked online first yet could not skip the cue)
Really good for kids and adults two and if u buy online the tickets last all year round and fault it really good day out for all.
Coach queued over 40 min to get into carpark then, despite having bought tickets online, hast to queue over an hour to get in. Disappointed with aquarium, too many tv's, posters displays etc and not enough fish. Lots of open spaces which could be used to house more fish, hopefully this is the plan, but for now nowhere near as good as the sea life centre in Blackpool for which the queues are always much shorter
Great place to visit... Will be going again too much too see an take in one go....
Great place to take the kids and pass is for the year. So can go back when ever. Forces go free just show ID
Amazing aquarium and really good trip out for the family. Not a complete day out but at least an opportunity for 3 or 4 hours. Good selection of different animals and lots of interesting information. It would be nice to have a bit more interaction with the staff
Excellent day out. Lots to see & learn. Good variety of things on show for all ages.
Great day out to bring our little one but always feels like it's over when you have just started
