Great for our 18 month old and our 7 year old. We enjoyed seeing the mix of creatures but was disappointed when we realised we had come to the end and had to exit. Wish we could have gone backward to relook at some busier areas we missed.

My family just had a brilliant day here. We all enjoyed the exhibits, the timeline at the beginning was good leading to some excellent tanks and particularly the huge show tank. It's impossible not to be impressed with the size of the tank, and who would not be impressed by sharks and sawfish. We were lucky enough to see the sawfish being fed - just great!

My 'kids' ages 16 and 19, were both impressed. A rare event indeed !

The queue was reasonably long to get in, but again the staff were very quick and we only waited a few minutes.

We were probably there for around 3 hours or so, time went very quickly.

If I am ever Hull way again, I would most definitely go back.

Absolutely brilliant, staff are fantastic and seem to really love what they do. Had lots of different things on throughout the day. Prices for entry were good and to my surprise you even get free year return passes making it amazing value for money!

Over rated in my opinion, nothing of any real interest in there, I find it very sad how people on here are crowing about it, they've obviously never been to a proper museum before, more gift shops and cafes than attractions... 30-40minutes of mediocre, bland and often broken exhibits.

Highly recommended!

Highly recommended!
Not only beautiful, but also interactive and with ecological food for thought!

Very well done!

An interesting place to visit and very good for kids. Well set out exhibitions and polite staff. Has a well priced cafe and a good little gift shop. The car park is quite limited, arrive for opening on the weekends. Opens from 10am

Brilliant day out for all the family, i took my boyfriend at the beginning of the year and we loved it but nothing has changed since I went as a little girl. The interactive machines and layout etc are still the same as in 1997.

It was quite good. I was told before visiting that this was a very deep aquarium. I think that somewhat skewed my preconceptions of the place. I was expecting all the joy and curiosity of an aquarium with startling, revealing truths about, to borrow a phrase, life, the universe and everything. However, the aquarium, while impressive, offered no revelations, no great insights and very little education in general beyond standard facts about the exhibits. I later learned that the aquarium boasts of being physically deep rather than spirituality, philosophically or metaphysically deep. Also, they refused to cook me any of the fish on show, despite the fact I was really hungry.

We had a fabulous afternoon. There is a very powerful display filled with plastic. It is heartbreaking to see. The fish have amazing tanks to live in and the penguins all look happy.

The deep has always been my favourite place to visit in Hull so it wasn't a hard decision to go tonight to the two rivers restaurant there, taking advantage of the 20% off offer currently running. It was amazing, well worth the visit and the money, the food was amazing, the wait staff excellent and the drinks delicious and I need to find out where that salted caramel dairy free ice cream came from, being lactose intolerant it can be hard to eat out sometimes but no such issues here. Well definitely be going back

We love the deep, it's a perfect family day out and the best thing is you can pay once and revisit with those tickets for the year! Donations are welcomed though. The cafe is really well priced with good hot food and selection for kids, ample parking and a retail park nearby.

Great place for the kids plenty of small easy to see windows and larger ones. Wide array of species and a nice little play area of play area for younger children. Food isn t great in canteen and not as much areas as expected, can get a little packed with school kids.

Great that the tickets last year wrong so hold onto to them.
