Well run aquarium with small and large tanks

Well run aquarium with small and large tanks
Interesting talks and plenty of seating and observation points. Strong emphasis on the importance of oceans and conservation. Very popular with young parents. Special sessions for autistic children. Entry includes 12 months free entry after initial payment. Parking is pay and display. Nice, well priced cafes with wonderful views of the Humber river. Well signposted.

I had a great visit to The Deep. There was a nice range of exhibits and different sections. Not only were there oceanic fish, as expected but there were also unexpected creatures such as frogs and snakes. The enty fee also allows you to return as many times as you like within 12 months which is amazing! I had fun and would go again.

Visited 26.7.17 during school holidays so expected it to be busy BUT was quite an unpleasant experience far far too many people so children unable to get anywhere near the displays a total waste of 57 pounds.

Quite busy on a Saturday afternoon but I still managed to get some decent photos and videos of my visit. The tour was incredibly interesting and informative! Prices are not bad at all and the ticket lasts for 12 months! Save 20% by purchasing online before you arrive.

Love going to The Deep when ever we can. Absolutely amazing. I would definitely recommend but also recommend to get there early... That way you won't be waiting for others to move from the windows and displays. Fantastic for all the family.

Interesting exhibition, I enjoyed the aquarium and there were many things to see and learn about. Some of the interactive displays are getting on a bit and don't work as originally intended, but I thought it was good value for money, and the building itself is pretty cool. Would recommend.

Go early to avoid the crowds as we did on a Wednesday, and enjoy the fabulous Deep, it's awsome and even better after the alterations to the central aquirium, stunning, Thanks to all the happy smiling staff.

Not the first time ive been, spent a good couple of hours here with a 2 yr old. For me to add the fifth star i would like the deep to do something about having to queue outside in the cold/rain. Ive never been and got straight indoors. Perhaps a sheltered section could be extended outside?

A great variety of exhibts, fairly accessible (with use of lifts) but id avoid prams if you can manage. Still a great place to go on a rainy day!

Seems to be a favourite for mums with tots in prams. As a result the facilities are often overwhelmed. The live displays are very good, the interactive and history of earth not so - obviously aimed at school kids. Can't really hear the audio over dozens of mums speaking loudly to tots or the tots themselves. I would happily pay a bit more for an evening opening with a few glasses of wine and no prams.

The Deep is one of the largest aquarium in UK. If you like sea creatures then you must visit this place. This is good place to take your kids as well. They will get an opportunity to learn a lot about sea creatures and all. Definitely recommend this place.

Very informative centre, you start way back in time learning about the first creatures in the sea. Also lots of information about conservation. Lovely viewpoint of the city and estuary, all the fish were nicely displayed. Just beware of all the steps, or queue for the lifts! The cafe was fairly priced and tasty.

A huge aquarium like both adults and children. Interesting exposure, there is a playground, a lot of cafes, interesting marine inhabitants. I liked penguins very much. A lot of cognitive.

A lovely half day out for the family. We were there for around 2.5 hours, but could have stayed for longer but it was getting a bit too busy-we knew it would be, as it was a windy and rainy Saturday!

Our almost 2 year old loved watching the fish and we enjoyed reading the information as well as watching the fish. Plenty of interactive activities for older children too, and a nice little indoor play bit for young ones towards the end of the visit.

We really enjoyed ourselves, and look forward to coming again.

It was a good day, taking care with covid, the deep is a nice day out, I always forget how quickly you get through it though, but this is okay as they offer you a return trip for the year for the price of your ticket!, its a shame with how good the covid procedures are that when we got to the shop, unfortunately we made a purchase, before we was served the lady behind the till sneezed into her hand, and without washing or sanitisation, she continued to grab the Teddy i had bought for my daughter, as we left she was seen wiping her nose with her hand again, this wouldn't have been a issue to me at least if she had used some sort of cleaning method after.. because of that it kinda ruined a nice day out.. and with everything happening at the minute it was a silly mistake to make

Never get tired of this place. Spend a good 3 hours here at least, so much to see and learn it's a great day out for all ages. Cafe was a little pricey but not too bad. Staff are all extremely friendly and cheerful. Once you've been once you have free entry for a year so plenty of trips out for the family.
