The deep was great for a half day out as it is not very big. The tickets are very reasonable and are valid for a year ! So you can go back as many times as you like. It became very busy on our visit with families with young children, I think there may have been more pushchairs in the building than fish! It was very easy to get a wheelchair around and a small mobility scooter but did need more ramps rather than just slow lift near the bottom. The exhibits were all very good and informative. With plenty of interactive things for children and adults. The gift shop had the usual things ! Nice cafe at the end not sure what was going on at the one in the middle though. The toilets were clean and there is plenty of car parking , be aware you have to pay to park.

First family staycation with an 11 month old and we had a blast! The Deep is AMAZING! Food is reasonable priced, there are baby change stations on the way round so you dont have to backtrack to the beginning. There truly is something for everyone and it is all reasonably priced. We traveled from Nottingham and would do it again in a heartbeat!

Visited this place for the first time in May and have already been back for another visit. And planning another 2 visits with friends over the summer. There is so much to do and see. The kids (5 and 3 1/2) loved the activities and loved seeing the dive show, penguin feed and the touch pool can't wait for our next visit!

What was there was really good. There was a wide array of sea creatures and information to look at. I saw the penguins which was cool. The elevator ride back up to the top through the tank was great. There's a gift shop at the entrance too. I went on a weekday so it was fairly quiet.

The downsides of my trip is that I was only there for just over an hour. I did take my time and went slowly but I was just a little underwhelmed when I came out that it wasn't longer. I guess aquariums are more for children and there's only so much time I can spend looking at fish. Saying that, I went to Sealife Blackpool a few months after this trip and I was only in there for 30mins. So my short trip to Sealife made me appreciate The Deep a lot more. I'll definitely go to The Deep again in the future though.

I'm not usually a fan of sealife places but I enjoyed it here. Great set up and lots of interactive things to do. The kids loved the little booklets and finding answers to the questions. It's not a massive place so it's certainly not a day out and the play area was very disappointing-was tiny and for under 4s only. Refreshments were very expensive and perhaps a stop half way round near a bigger play area would be an idea where the parents could relax for 5 minutes. The lifts are exceptionally small so unless you like steps then be prepared to wait a long time. Great couple of hours though.

The only bad thing for me it was really busy and you can be standing in a queue outside for up to 30 minutes on a weekend but once you're inside it was really good and all the animals looked nice and healthy.

More like a libary then an aquarium not a lot to look at but there plenty of walking and reading to do. A waste of time and money. Even my kids said it was boring. Not sure if it's just because we come from kent and all aquarium we go to with the kids are epic so made this one seem empty but plenty of stairs if you need exercise .we managed to get round the whole attraction within 35 mins as we really didn't want to read all day .seen more fish at pets at home lol

Awesome! Nothing like Sea Life. More of going back in time, how we got to where we are now with the sea life and conservation too. Plus there were extras that we had not seen in Sea life, don't want to tell you what is there as it would spoil it.

Even the quality of the food in the restaurant is well above what you might expect....and at a very reasonable price.

Went on a Tuesday outside of the holidays so was fairly quiet. Got round with a pram and a toddler in less than an hour. Impressive displays (the penguins and rays are incredible) but don't expect to be there all day. Probably best coupled up with another attraction as a day trip, especially of your coming from further afield.

Excellent venue for a conference meal. We had access to visit the aquarium, seeing all the fish, turtles and penguins (to name just a few) en route, followed by observatory access for a reception drink and views of the Humber. The meal itself was next to viewing windows of the main tank - truly stunning. Staff were good and and friendly. Thanks!

The deep is a great place for families of young children, however there isn't as much there as you'd think before going. They advertise an impressive underwater tunnel, but it's not that impressive at all. Especially considering that if one family are in there, you'll have to wait your turn. The deep has penguins who are in an enclosure that is way too small! Penguins in their natural habitat enjoy vast open spaces and oceans to swim in. The dirty plastic snow and puddle of water has an air of sadness. The penguins shouldn't be there.
If you're planning a trip, I'd advise that you don't eat in the cafe. Though at some point they've renovated it, it's now scruffy and unclean with overpriced low quality food.
To conclude, for kids, it's great. That's about it.

It's good for a couple of hours and if you have kids as there's some good soft play areas but there's not actually much in the way off sealife, but it has penguins which are fave and make up for the one big tank.

I visit here everytime I'm in Hull and enjoy the experience everytime even though it's the same place! You can always find out new facts and see different creatures that were hiding the last time. If you're anywhere close, definitely visit!

Despite all the controversy surrounding Aquarians, the deep is a wonderful place to go. There's always something new to see and the good old favourites. The staff are very friendly and are on hand to answer any questions you may have. Entry is reasonably priced as you get free return visits for a year, there's plenty of parking, a cafe and big gift shop. Leave a couple of hours to relax and view the amazing aquatic life.

Awesome. Well worth the entry fee, which gets you as many visits as you want for a year. Endless eye catching things for children of all ages and narration by Patrick Stewart. Picnic areas available inside. If watching feeding in the main tank (check schedules on website), skip the first 25 mins as they take ages to get into the tank. Fascinating place to visit.

Good day out with the family or even a date. Tickets online are slightly cheaper than on the door on the day but due to covid, they advise to book time slots to enter but can take your time walking around.

The fishes were amazing and at the end there was a store to buy statues, putty and lots more. There was a Cafeteria whilst you visit around. There's a ladder where people at a time can go up and feel there in water. I loved it (The Deep was a present for me for my Birthday) Plz make sure to go there.

Very enjoyable couple of hours. Loads of information and very children orientated. You get free entry for the next twelve months if you keep your tickets too.
Even if you aren't too enthusiastic about fish, the penguins can't fail to melt you!
