I was so excited to stay here. But the room just did not meet our expectations for the price. Was really surprised when the shower handel came off because it was broken. I couldn t turn the water all the way to hot. I brought this up to the front desk, and they fixed it. But I honestly was expecting something to be taken off my bill. I ll be staying somewhere else s next time I m in Spokane.

Wasn't very impressed with our very short stay. I had received concert tickets last minute from a friend for my birthday, which was on a Monday. After dinner in post falls my boyfriend and I drove out to Spokane. We currently live in Sandpoint so we decided to get a hotel room so we wouldn't have drive home after a concert, that probably wouldn't end until after midnight, and we both had to work in Coeur d'Alene the next morning. I figured "Hey it's my birthday, lets stay at the fancy hotel!" We get to the hotel as the concert is starting so we are trying to hurry. They asked what type of room we wanted and I blurted out "Do you have one with a jetted tub in the room?" Because why not, it's my birthday. They said they had one left. We went up to the room quick, I left my purse and such and we went to the concert. We got back to the room after midnight and I wanted to try out the fancy tub. Turned the water on and noticed something unknown was floating in the water. Turned the water off and the water was draining so.....so......so slow! It took about 20 minutes for the gallon of water to drain. Tried adding some more water, hairs were floating in it now, black ones. Neither of us have black hair..... Needless to say I eneded up taking a quick shower and going to bed. When I said something the next morning all the front desk had to say was you should have called us so we could have fixed it or moved you. They didn't offer to give us a discount or even seem sympathetic. Just a hey you still owe us nearly $300 for spending under 12hrs here and not even get to use the only thing in the room that made me even consider spending that much money on a hotel room. There were less hairs in the hotel ruby bathtub we stayed in last time. Should've done that and saved over $200.

Amazing hotel with an awesome history. We were there checking out the annual Christmas Tree event that supports the Spokane Symphony. It was very crowded but everyone was chill, sharing space and having a good time. The trees were amazing and though we didn't buy any tickets to try and win one we may go back next year with a plan to do so. Great restaurants, lots of historical information to browse through, a great visit overall. If you are going through Spokane this would be a worthwhile stop.

I would give it a half star if possible! Our grand daughter and her mom had to cancel their reservations because of the COVD virus. Their reservations were for three nights and this hotel would only refund for one night and then added a $75.00 cancellation fee! Marriott and this hotel lost my business and probably many others because of this.

I've stayed at the Historic but usually book at the Tower, when traveling for work. I absolutely adore the Peakcock Lounge!! Best drinks. Low key, private atmosphere. Service is always amazing! Oh & I recommend the cheese dip, so good!

My husband and I went on a trip to Spokane, and when I went to college there I remembered walking through the historic hotel and loving the history and beauty inside. I wanted to show my husband so we went inside and read the pictures on the walls and sat in the lobby for a half hour just soaking it in. My sister in law saw the pictures I posted and wanted to come as well so later that night we went back again to walk around. My husband and I plan to stay the night next summer.

Can't go wrong with a Davenport experience. Best happy hour in town, although the Davenport next door (the tower) serves up a slight better happy hour. They offer flatbreads. The stay was amazing. They are now owned by the Marriott and the beds are so comfortable. Got a king bed room and you could probably sleep 3 on it they are so big lol.

My first stay not only met, but exceeded my expectations. Every person on staff made me feel at home. This hotel will be my home away from home when I visit Spokane. Thanks to everyone who made my stay so comfortable.

Always wanted to stay here as a kid. I visited home for Christmas this year, and decided to stay here a couple of days. It was amazing! There were lots of places to explore, the king size bed was very comfortable. the room interior feels very classy, and the food options in the area were awesome.

It was nice

We went for the spa. It was a terrific experience. When you are greeted they offer you a glass of champagne as they take you back to a dressing room. In the dressing room they have water, coffee, tea, and snacks to enjoy while you wait for whatever service you're getting. They also have a steam room with aromatherapy that you can take advantage of. Towels and robes are available as well as anything one might need to take a shower and get ready for the day, such as shaving equipment, mouth wash, etc.

Once you get back to the massage room it's more or less standard. Dark room with massage beds and atmospheric music playing. A few additional touches did stand put, however. First, the massgae table is heated. This is not so outlandish an idea but it is not necessary the norm. The table also is fully adjustable so the masseuse can sit you up, lay you back and anything in between. They also provide face masks for when you are on your back. It makes it so even the low light doesn't bother you while getting your massage. The final small touch they offer is they put your robe in a robe warmer for when you are done. So when you leave the room it is a comfortable experience.

Overall it was a nice experience. Though it is quite expensive at around $110 for a 60 minutes massage.

It's a small store inside of the Davenport hotel, there is some very interesting finds as well as great smelling candle collections. If it had a little more room I would definitely give it 5 stars.

The historic Davenport is a beautiful building and my fiance and I love to stop by the Peacock Lounge for a drink anytime we are in town. The service has always been friendly and great, and we enjoy the atmosphere.

Excellent accommodations. Furnishings were timely and nicely dated, but appropriate. Staff was upfront and friendly. Rooms, especially the bathroom, were generously sized. The armoire was unnecessary and the pillows were too plush for my tastes. Did not experience the many amenities this building has.

If you have already been here, you know how beautiful The Historic Davenport is. Be it weddings, a quick meeting, meeting friends in the Peacock room, going to dinner, or just walking around exploring, I think it surpasses the newer hotels in the area. There is a spot where one of the workers snuck a marriage proposal onto the wall, and it is said to be haunted. You can see what the hotel looked like 100 years ago, and pictures of Bing Crosby, Amelia Earhart...... Oh Sunday Brunch is a bit pricey and amazing

Beautiful building, old character well kept up. The staff was so nice and helpful, and the restaurant was amazing. Get the French onion soup, sit by the fireplace and have a great dinner with friends. The rooms are huge, but try to request a room away from the train tracks. They run all night, and could be bothersome if you're not used to it.

This hotel is so fancy! They have high quality chefs that cook your meals for you and the lobby looks like it was made for the entrance of royalty. The bathrooms are to die for with a walk in shower and classy tub. The beds are really comfortable, as well. The rooms are on the pricey side but trust me, it was definitely worth it

Beautiful hotel with a great history. The rooms were quiet, the staff was friendly, and the food was good. Anyone staying should be aware that the self-park is a parking garage located across the street. Also the parking garage was confusing. They give you a voucher to get in and out of the garage but ours kept expiring. We eventually found out that you can page the hotel from the electronic ticket box and they will help you. Overall I enjoyed my stay but it's pricey and I will probably go with a cheaper, more convenient hotel next time.

Really amazing interior and very professional staff. Great place for large events or parties, excellent wedding venue. An unreal experience, like stepping into the 20's, and loving every minute of it.
