Lovely place, building, and food. However the service seemed lacking in places. There was not always somebody to go to for assistance, or it was made unclear who to talk to for what at the dining areas.

I enjoyed my stay - beautiful hotel - quite a few amenities. My stay was brief and last minute to sleep and go first thing so I did not get to enjoy they Hotel and all it has to offer - my room was very nice, well stocked and clean.

My wife and I stayed here for our wedding night. It is without a doubt, one of the most beautiful buildings in all of Washington State. There is so much artwork throughout the hotel and so much history to boot. Even if you aren't staying here, go by and check it out. They also have an awesome Sunday brunch where the bacon and mimosas overflow.

The Thanksgiving dinner was not as good as it used to be. The gluten free and vegetarian selections were sad and other dishes (like the Turkey) were very dry and therefore not vert appetizing. Some dishes were pretty good but the 8 of us were disappointed.

Words can't really do justice to the craftsmanship on display during the early 1900's Spanish Revival period and photos wouldn't capture the detail in appreciable scope. You must experience it.

Regarding the hotel side of the place, the beds are great, the food is great, and service was uniformly excellent. Conference rooms in particular are all gorgeous, if not well-suited for modern presentations due to the architectural limitations of stonework.

Ate at the restaurant, didn't stay there. The menu was a bit limited. Lots of crab dishes. I like crab, but the open face crab sandwich and tomato soup was way TOO RICH for my taste. We also ordered desert. My teen would have been happy with a simple bowl of ice cream but they had a super rich fudge Sundae that cost almost $10. I had creme Brule, which is normally sweet because of the crisp sugar crust. But the custard was sickningly sweet so I scrapped off the topping and it was still overly rich. I think the chef is trying too hard, just add a few more simple dishes, charge less for those and your guests will have more choices.

Rating overall for ambiance 4, food was ok.

Hotel was beautiful and very clean. Staff were very nice. Our door would not lock when we left and could be opened without a key. We also had issues with our toilet running non stop and a very loud dog in the room across from us.

Historic hotel with plenty of history - We did not stay but passed through the lobby to sight see the gorgeous architecture and walk back into the early 1900"s. The building has maintained (registered as a historic landmark) it's historic value and the restoration is impressive. feels like it walking back in time. At the concierge desk ask for the walking tour that will pamphlet that will guide you around the two story lobby area.

A self guided tour will take approximately 45 minutes to about 1.25 hours to complete. The second floor has photos that line the perimeter walls that have information about the hotel and some early 1900 artifacts that they have preserved and are on display. A free tour that has a lot of history and makes for a great inexpensive rainy/cold day excursion to take.

Beautiful hotel that is well kept. Valet service and bell hop were excellent. I am a bit dissapointed that i had called early in the day to ask for a crib fo my infant and they said it would be waiting in the room. It wasn't so i called the front desk and they said sure we will send one up. 1.5 hours later with no crib i called again and they apologized and sent one within 10 minutes. The lack of follow up when they said it would be done TWICE is upsetting and did not feel 4-star. I will say however they let us check in early which was great and they were always polite and friendly. The execution just wasn't quite there. In addition, i thought perhaps at check-out they would ask how my stay was and i could express these concerns. They did not ask. Again, a bit surprising for a 4- star hotel.

Very nice hotels. Historic has a great spa and nice pool. Fitness center is set up nicely with dumbbells and machines. Dining was great and plenty of places to eat and drink within walking distance.

As you have seen by the lack of bad reviews this is a great place to eat, stay, have an event or what we did, all 3. The preservation of the original architects vision is amazing. Just walking around the mezzanine you'll get a history lesson on Spokane. And the to do list in the area, could keep you busy for weeks.

We have stayed at the Historic Davenport several times and we have only had wonderful experiences. Anytime is great but to be there during Christmas is the best of all.

I recommend this hotel to everyone!

What does a major highway a block from this hotel, a major train station two blocks away, and single-pane pane windows add up to? A restless night where you can hear EVERY SINGLE TRAIN that passes through the city (I'd guess that would be one every 15 or 20 minutes) layered on top of the constant hum of trucks and automobiles thundering through town. If they couldn't do anything about the single-pane windows, at least they could have had some sound-deadening curtains. Given that it was in the middle of this COVID thing, I have no idea what the service is like because it is non-existant. Had to schlepp my bags back and forth, and self-park with very little explanation. My only encounter was with the front desk people and, while they were professional, they were far from personable. The room was somewhat clean but the coffee pot was dirty and one of the light on the night table was burnt out. The furniture was upscale, but there was no bathtub! No bathtub! I was really looking forward to taking a nice long soak after a 6-hour drive to Spokane. In general, a very "MEH" experience.

This is the best hotel that I have ever stayed at and I have been to 5 star places all over the world! The service and the ambiance is amazing. You can walk the whole place all day and still miss details. The rooms are amazing and top of the line. The decor in the rooms was extremely comfortable and that bed I want to own because it was the best bed I have ever slept on! Room service was top notch and the food and coffee was excellent! They have vallet parking and the best staff in Spokane! This is all on top that this is one of the most scenic tourist places in Spokane. Top Notch and highly recommended!

Beautiful lodging in Spokane, and full of history too! Historic elements abound in this regal hotel. Woven into the heart of our lovely downtown this hotel highlights what Spokane was and is capable of. We sprung for a room for my daughters 18th Birthday and were beyond happy with our stay. Great staff, large accommodating room. Quiet pool. 4 of us stayed comfortably in a king room with a full pull out sofa. Plenty of great restaurant choices within close walkable range for breakfast, lunch or dinner, or eat within the hotel. Yummy in house soft peanut brittle...that you can eat yourself or buy for a friend. AND beautiful floral arrangements:)
