This is a first class place! I have never been to Spokane, but have stayed in hundreds of hotels. Additionally I worked for years in the hotel industry. This place is jaw dropping. Gorgeous and dripping in history. Every single person I encountered was kind, and everywhere I looked I found another amazing detail to be intrigued by. I will absolutely recommend this place to anyone and will be coming back myself. What a gorgeous place!

Check in was smooth, the staff were extremely helpful. We had a business meeting and Breakfast there, as well as stayed as over night guests. For our meeting we also had a catered breakfast. It was nothing short of amazing! We even had to needs for our meeting that they took care of promptly and without question. The building is immaculate. The room was so comfortable, and there was plenty of space to meet and mingle down stairs. It was easy walking distance from shops and restaurants. It was the most relaxing hotel stay I have had in a while.

The detail in the architecture as well as the history of this hotel make it an adventure in it's own right. You may have so much fun exploring the many features of this hotel that you forget the beautiful city that surrounds you. The room was very well appointed and gave off an air of luxury and excess. Very enjoyable stay. Excellent staff who were all very easy to work with. This would definitely be my choice for either a lavish weekend of pampering or an impressive location for an important business meeting.

My experience was excellent. Very clean, service was excellent. Better then the average Marriott property. My few concerns - I booked online at Marriott with a defined rate - when I checked out each day was a different rate nothing not even the average matched the quote on the Marriott site. Beds are way to soft for my personal taste you sink into these beds. Love the "brittle" on the bed each night.

The inside is quite beautiful. Kinda gaudy but to an enjoyable amount. There are great pieces of history to learn about all over the hotel. The rooms are nice, the beds are comfortable. They dont have any sample though, just bottle screwed to the wall. The pool is great, theres also a nice gym if you want to work out. Theres stores, resutrants, a spa, but its all pretty expenaive. It is pet friendly and kid friendly too. However there is a bar for only adults. Its lots of fun and a really cool experience. I just wish i had more time to spend there.

Had a family dinner here for Christmas Eve. The food was eye-rolling amazing and the service was spectacular. The wait was a bit long, but our party was big so it's nothing to keep me from going back for a date night.

You don't have to be a guest, but you still truly feel like one. It's worth coming just to stop at the bathroom. They actually give you towels to wipe your hands. I'd recommend coming to check out the architecture and do a little exploring!

They had The Elegance event ongoing while we visited the hotel and it was a lot of fun. The hotel is gorgeous and located downtown so it's easy to get to most places from here. Highly recommend!

The Davenport is always a breathtaking sight. I've been to the Davenport several times and I notice a new characteristic each time I go. I was a little disappointed to know that the Christmas trees had already been raffled off, but now I know for next year.

My friends and I have been coming to the Davenport for several years now for a spa weekend getaway or the occasional Gonzaga game. Each year the stay becomes less and less enjoyable. This year our room for 4 was stocked with only 3 towels and 2 paper coffee cups. When we asked for an additional coffee cup we were informed it was an upcharge of a $1 per cup. Additionally, there were stains on our sheets and hair in the shower. While the hotel is very beautiful and the spa never disappoints, we feel other hotels provide a better service for nearly 1/3 the price.

They don't create these works of art anymore. Beautiful architecture, delicious food in a dining room that is so classy and elegant. Excellent friendly service. Don't miss the experience of the good life.

This is a must go to place while in Spokane, such a unique building with so much history. The spa is amazing as well. I have stayed here a few times and the staff is very kind and welcoming. I mostly go to their christmas tree event every year thats always fun.

Wow, blast from the past it is. What a beautiful historic hotel. Situated downtown in Spokane within walking distance to shopping, restaurants and parks. Parking is pricey. Homeless people everywhere are a bit unsettling. Husband witnessed fight among them while taking a stroll one day. Easy to avoid if you drive everywhere. Don't let that stop you from staying at one of the most beautiful hotels I've ever stayed in. They even allow dogs! Very affordable for what you get. Please go. I want them to be around for my next visit.

What a fabulous, historic, hotel. The crown jewel of downtown Spokane. In fact, all of Spokane has wonderful historic, and modern sights and activities for travellers and tourists alike. Even though Spokane suffered greatly from the economic crisis of 2007/2008, the city Father's wisely poured tax dollars into turning Spokane into a tourist destination. And I'm glad they did. I will definitely return to Spokane...there's so much to see and do.

We went to the Davenport to look at the Christmas trees for the Spokane Symphony fundraiser. I had never been to the Historic Davenport before. It was wonderful seeing the inside and how much work they have put into restoring it. It was really busy in there with so many people seeing the trees. Would love to go back and spend more time exploring the hotel itself.

Loved the stay. Rooms were adequately sized and the beds were all they were hyped up to be! Found it difficult to peel myself off the classic Davenport pillow top each morning...till I remembered the fluffy robe and walk-in shower awaiting me.
I also really like the secure elevator feature of staying in the penthouse suites.

Only negative thing was the valet parking. A little expensive and not coordinated as well as it could be. We asked the hop to have valet ready our vehicle while loading luggage cart at checkout. After completing checkout with concierge we ended up having to wait again even though we were the only guests just then.
Ideally the car should have been at the ready, bags inside when we were through with checkout. Not delayed a full half hour and gouged almost $30 extra for the privilege.

I was so excited to stay here. My hubby and I ordered room service and the food was phenomenal. We were able to bring our dogs with us. The only downfall was the bed. It was so soft that there was no support and I woke up in pain. Thank goodness for the soaker tub in our room. Customer service was great and the room was clean.

Went to view the Christmas Tree Elegance. Fairly busy and crowded, but that's to be expected for this event/time of year. Probably wouldn't attend Elegance again, but was happy to support the Spokane Symphony and will visit the Davenport again at other times or for other events.

Fancy hotel. Real fancy hotel. Lots of nice touches. Service is great. Valet parking is only about $2 more than regular parking in the garage. Worth it.

Rooms are great. Ambiance is great. History is great. Location is great. Just go there already.

My husband and I decided to come here for a mini honeymoon after spending the day at the spa within the historic davenport hotel.. The spa was AMAZING. I wish I could say the same thing about our hotel room.. There was a layer of dust on every surface in the bathroom including the glasses and ice bucket. There were cobwebs all over the ceiling and even more dust on the headboard. I requested for housekeeping and after 2 hours I went to the front desk to complain and he told me he would give housekeeping a call. An hour went by and we left for our dinner reservation. We got back 2 hours later and our hotel room was still very dirty. At this point it was already midnight and we were getting ready for bed. So we just put up with sleeping in the disgusting room and went straight to the front desk as soon as we woke up. Ended up checking out early.

We were in a suite for our wedding anniversary. The staff was friendly and courteous. They even sent a card to us when they found out it was our anniversary. Lots of stuff nearby to walk to. Their soft peanut brittle is amazing.
