Well located in the middle of downtown Spokane, comfortable room and bed, didn't eat there but had some good drinks in the lounge.
It masterfully blends modern amenities with art deco stylings. Rooms are spacious and clean with ornate furniture and lavish drapery. The lobby and cafe take that further with gorgeous carpeting, finely wrought lamps and chandeliers, and fine seating. Staff are proactively helpful and courteous and more than adequate in number to accommodate guests. Overall, a fun, enriching step into the past.
Nice place to stay, parking can be difficult but the valet and the parking garage has .are it better. Very historic feel with great service.
A beautiful representation of early 1900s architecture and craftmanship. We had a family dinner there and it was amazing. Good service and great food.
For $250 a night you're paying for the name and it is beautiful the room was gorgeous the mirror was broke and the train came by every 12 minutes they do not have soundproof windows and fair food in their Grill is outrageous for what it was
Beautiful hotel, haven't stayed there though. I have been to the Peacock bar inside though. Drinks well crafted and had small plates. All was very good.
this is a beautiful place 2 enjoy the holidays with happy hour prices.
Rooms were amazing, room service lady was ABSOLUTELY wonderful, and nice design
This was an amazing jem that we found. We did not stay here we just found it as a historic place to visit when we were in Spokane and it was great. They have flyers detailing all you will need to know on doing a self walking tour.
If you have a little time when you are in Spokane you should do this tour. I would love to stay some time and see the rooms in this wonderful property.
I have stayed at this hotel previously for work and traveling, very friendly staff. On my last visit, I stay at the Historic Davenport, and I just had a very bad, but bad experience with my stay. To begin with the room I booked online wasn't nothing like the actual room that they gave me. I had my car parked with the "Vallet service" and someone who works there back up my car and broke one of my back lights and put some scratches on my car. Talked to the manager but because of lack of evidence they refuse to take responsibility for the damages to my car. I agree my car had few scratches on the right side and on the left side but mainly on body of the car nothing on the back of the car, specifically the right back light. Now I have a broken light and have to pay to get it fix. I just had a very bad experience at this hotel. Other wise I would recommend it.
This palace will always have a special place in our hearts. We had our prom here and our wedding reception. It is beautiful especially during the holidays. The staff at the restaurant could be a bit more positive.
Stayed in the Circus Room for Granddaughter's 6th birthday. She loved it.
Pretty Pretty Pretty Pretty Pretty Swanky. I've not stayed as a guest yet but I've had the good fortune of dining here and meeting family for drinks at the huge open lobby area many times. It's situated in the heart of downtown which has in recent years been really revitalized. The world famous soft peanut brittle can be found in the candy store just across the street. Don't visit Spokane without stopping by.
Always a great venue, beautiful architecture and amazing service.
I always love visiting the Historic Davenport Hotel, especially during Christmas time. It's done up so beautifully and the restored architecture just takes your breath away
Location is very convenient and a first class hotel in spokane
Great atmosphere and amazingly restored intricacies throughout the iconic, Spokane landmark hotel. There's no finer place around downtown to hold a banquet for a large attending audience.
Beautifully redone old hotel. Always love going here.
Teriyaki bites were very tender ans the ribeye cooked just as requested. Love this place!
I attended a social event here and had a great time! The food was delicious and the bartender experienced.
Beautiful venue for Dinner with valet parking and a short walk to the Fox Theater followed by cocktails in the Safari Lounge.
This hotel is absolutely breathtaking.
Well worth the visit & experience.
Visited the spa and enjoyed a couples massage with my wife. The facility was amazingly relaxing and the staff friendly and welcoming.
Grandson was housed there for a performance. Beautiful interior. Friendly staff. Great history.
The most comfortable beds, fantastic service, and a beautiful building.
Amazing hotel. The design of the lobby is wonderful and historic and my room was very well kept. The food in the downstairs restaurant was top notch.
We stayed in one of the penthouse rooms for our one year anniversary. The room was great, the robes were comfy, and the room service was delicious.
Beautiful room and architecture throughout the Historic Davenport.
This is one of my all time favorite hotels. The rooms are super nice, the hotel is hands down 5 stars. All of the workers are great, super helpful, and always make you feel important. It can be a bit pricy, but it's definitely worth the stay, and i would recommend this hotel to anyone.
Went inside to buy some drinks and was impresed with how clean and beautiful the inside was. The staff were very nice too.
So i am an engineer at the Davenport hotel collection and as hotels go the historic Davenport is breathtaking.
Such a beautiful hotel cannot park trailers so if ur bringing one you will have to park across the street even if u bought two rooms, however as you can see by the photos it is a beautiful place to stay rooms are very nice and the bell hops are nice and friendly I'm sure I will be back and would love to stay here again Witt my family.
Very nice motel. Very friendly staff . Great food and room service.
The Davenport hotel in Spokane always a great spot to meet clients for business, grab a bite or have a drink. Where ever you are on any Davenport property you will be treated to great service and inspired food and drink.
Come here for the visuals and history. Frankly, it's beautiful. What you're really coming here for is the environment. Unfortunately, this place has progressively gotten worse with service and food over the last several months. I used to really enjoy coming here for their prime rib or steaks. Even just hitting the bar for wine or scotch isn't what it used to be. I continue to be optimistic that the service and food quality will return. If you've never been here, come check it out. If you're a local, I would recommend spending your time and money elsewhere for the time being.
This place is the Ritz Carlton of Spokane. Even if you don't stay there, a meal or drink (Starbucks in the lobby) & chance to walk through & see the history of a landmark. Don't miss the stain glass ceiling in the Peacock Room & the Hall of the Doges (upstairs off the mezzanine level).
Beautiful architecture and always holding worth while events.
Elegant, atmospheric lobby with eye-catching architectural design that takes you back in time to an era of refined sophistication and fertility. The food and cocktails are especially memorable.
Great overall experience. Loved the history and the room.
The hotel is very well kept, I had an excellent stay
Visited the pool. Fresh water. Excellent amenities. The lobby looked like out of a palace. Very grand. Beautiful hotel
Great food. Beautiful building. Professional staff.
Yes! If you love intricate detailed historic buildings, you should stay here! This is also a great place to go for happy hour. Half off of all drinks and apps! They make peanut brittle in the lobby and give free samples. There's a pool downstairs, along with a spa. The king size room was small but comfortable. I highly recommend you take the self guided walking tour of the hotel. The ballrooms are AMAZING! So beautiful!
Beautifully restored and was a magical visit at Christmas time with the brilliant decorations. The rooms were great: comfy bed, roomy, high-end bathroom products. The staff was also exceptional. I will stay here every time I come to visit.
Overrated. The property is, of course, beautiful, the service, however, leaves something to be desired. In app at check-in, we asked for alternate pillows, which were not in the room when we arrived. Additionally, the soap dispenser next to the bathroom sink was empty. We had evening plans and had to leave the hotel, so we could not get these issues corrected due to the in-room safe being inoperable. Lights in the room were some ancient fluorescent that flicker to life noisily. The king-sized bed was worn out and droopy in the middle.
We used the car service included with the mandatory resort fee. Got to our destination OK, foggy windows in the Lincoln CUV, fine. It was a short drive. Driver gave us the card and told us to call when we were ready for pickup. We called about an hour later, it was probably about 9pm and there was no answer, so we walked back to the hotel.
Next morning, when we requested our car from the Valet, it took an unreasonable amount of time to get our car back. Valet service seems understaffed.
No recognition or perks offered for Marriott Gold status. This should be a category 4.
Starting at 3 stars for average.
+2 stars for beautiful property and rooms
+1 star for low cash rates
-1 stars for service
-2 star for room condition
Beautiful facility. Excellent staff and services. Outstanding old world charm.
We took the self-guided tour and it was very interesting. This is a beautiful historic hotel. The ballrooms are quite elaborate. We did not stay at the hotel, just did the tour.
The Davenport Historic is hands down the best place to stay in Spokane.
The event for The University of Idaho was outstanding!
The chicken served was BAD! VERY HARD TO CUT.
Would not recommend the Sunday brunch. Over priced for sub par food. Crowded and loud. Waited 20 mins for our server to ask about beverages waited another 20 to get a single mimosa. Highly highly disappointed.
DO NOT GET MARRIED HERE! I always dreamed about getting married at the Davenport and was able to book my wedding for June 22nd of this year. The wedding staff was wonderful until the day of my wedding. I was provided an intern who stated to our DJ that she was overwhelmed and didn't know what she was doing and hadn't done a wedding on her own before. She was MIA to myself, wedding party and parents the majority of the day and was frequently seen talking in the kitchen by our DJ. In addition, the banquet captain was overheard saying that my wedding party was rude and annoying. I truly hope they weren't, but the only explanation I can think of is that my party was complaining about being unable to find the coordinator. I rarely complain about customer service because I have worked retail and customer service jobs my entire life, but I was forced to coordinate and run my own wedding despite paying a highly reputable business to do it for me. When I talked to the Sales Manager about my concerns, she was very understanding of the situation, however the email I received the next day in response was impersonal, seemed scripted and offered a complimentary brunch. My response to her email was never returned. The amount of disappointment experienced with this ordeal made me unable to enjoy my wedding day, night and part of my honeymoon. I really expected different service than was received on my wedding day. My family and friends were also severely disappointed and I want to save someone else from feeling this way on their special day.
I had the Fettuccine with Chinook King Salmon, and it was delicious. The waitstaff is always courteous and prompt, and I appreciate the local wine selection.
Beautiful, cozy rooms and excellent service staff. Can't wait to go back!
Very comfortable beds. Beautiful decor. Right in the middle of downtown, very quick to get to the fun places of Spokane.
I love the Historic Davenport Hotel. It is a stunning hotel that invokes luxury of a bygone era. The spa is great. The ballrooms are lovely. The food is good. The drinks are good. The rooms are spacious and the beds are luxurious. I have celebrated personal events, school events, and work events here and they are always wonderful. The Easter brunch is a *must* experience at least once. Christmas Tree Elegance is always a joy. When I am feeling down, I also simply enjoy walking into the lobby to enjoy the fountain and comfy couches.
I grew up in Spokane but no longer live in the area. Now, everytime I come to visit I make sure to stop by the Davenport! Growing up I always dreamed of dressing up and going to a ball here. I can only image women in their gowns and men in their tuxes. As they enter one of the many halls they hear the roar of a live band and chatter of all the attendees. One of these days I will actually stay the night in one of their rooms!
Went to a hospitality room. It was set up beautifully!
Always a pleasure, level of service is excellent, atmosphere is fantastic.
This place defines Elegance in Spokane. It is historic yet accessible a great place to get coffee with a friend, dessert, dinner, or a luxurious night stay. Take the opportunity to spend the night in opulence.
Was very disappointed, rented a room for my daughter for some R&R. Davenport will not get another opportunity at my or my daughters credit cards again !!! $$$$$
