If the walls could speak! A must visit Spokane hotel. The free walking tour guide takes you through the prominent historic rooms. The restaurant is good, but should be better for the iconic venue. Love this place

The hotel is a very well maintained historical property with some amazing amenities that included a confectionery onsite (making their delicious soft peanut brittle). Staff was efficient and friendly, and food was good. The stained glass ceiling in the Peacock Lounge was absolutely gorgeous, and we loved the craft cocktails there.

Always a worthwhile place to stop in and have a look around. There are historic pictures of the original Davenport around the upper level and you can often poke your head into the various ball rooms to admire them!

A lovely historic hotel that's staff lives up to the environment. We were welcomed as we drove up, reservation staff immediately greeted us as we walked in, they were very efficient and gracious. We interacted with the restaurants and all staff were very welcoming and efficient. The hotel was perfect and the staff great.

My wife and I recently visited The Historic Davenport Hotel to take part in their annual Christmas Tree Elegance. I really enjoyed the time we spent viewing the trees and bought some of the raffle tickets to support the symphony. The building is well maintained and the amenities are excellent. I like the Peacock Lounge and the flower shop that they have on site.

A true Spokane gem, a trip to Spokane is not complete without a visit to the Davenport. Service is impeccable whether you are staying as a guest or simply stopping by the Peacock lounge for a drink.

My first visit to the Davenport was terrible. I had purchased a gift at a local shop and had it on the desk in my room. I was traveling for business so I was alone. The gift sat in my room for the entire week untouched. At the end of the week when I was packing I noticed the gift was gone. House keeping must have taken it as my door was always locked. I contacted the front desk and they offered no help or make any attempt to resolve the issue. As much as you pay to stay you would hope to feel secure...

The Davenport Hotel was a beautiful experience. Everyone there is truly professional and very accommodating. Old school atmosphere with old school music playing thru out the building. The room we had was amazing too. Just a short walk to the Spokane Falls and a groovy downtown atmosphere. Many excellent places to dine in and around the hotel. The Davenport and Spokane will always be my first choice of places to go vacation.
P.S. On Sunday the Champagne and Bloody Mary Brunch can't be beat!

I booked the honeymoon suite for my wife's thirtieth birthday, and made absolutely sure we had a north facing room. Every time I brought it up they said that was something you had to do at check in, when we arrived to check in they told us it was something we should have asked about earlier. We ended up getting it but when we went up to check the room out there was a maintenance man in the room, just sitting on the bed. After he left I looked around the room and saw there were rings around the Jacuzzi tub, the handle to the tub was broken off, there were hairs all over, all the in room items were super scuffed and looked more likely to be found in a road side room then a honeymoon suite at a five diamond hotel. When I called the front desk the asked if I'd be willing to stay in another room to which I said I would be happy to, as long as I could check it first. Entering the second room was just as the first, same problems, minus the tub handle. After apologizing the offered to knock $5 off the room, the dirty room which we just looked at. Let's just say my wife and I had to make last minute arrangements for a different hotel.

The hotel was great, but they don't explain that your credit card will be charged for $50 a night for incidentals. The charge is not a big deal, but a hotel should always clearly explain when they are charging a credit card for something that you're not purchasing.

Best 4 star hotel experience for the price. The historic hotel was beautiful and the staff was very accommodating. Valet service excellent. Bathrooms are spacious and beautiful. Beds are comfortable. Had a post wedding brunch at the Palm Court Cafe the next morning in a private dining area which was excellent and the Davenport made special menus for us at no additional charge. Definitely recommend staying here.

I visited the historic Davenport for a business conference. I didn't stay at the hotel but spent a lot of time down in the ballroom and the beautifully ornate lobby. The historic aspect is wonderful, unlike anything you'll find at modern hotels. The staff was kind and accommodating and answered any and all questions. Ive been thoroughly impressed.

We booked this stay as a combination birthday and anniversary gift. From the moment we arrived, the staff was amazing. They were courteous, attentive and willing to help. The room itself was great - definitely felt like an elegant splurge. The bed was huge, straight out of a fairytale. Pro-tip- there's a step hidden under the bed to help you get up, unless you're super tall or enjoy vaulting into bed. One other note - the bed is amazing but may not be comfortable for those that prefer a firmer mattress. This was definitely like a cloud. The only two slightly disappointing bits were the lack of a fridge and the poor selection of TV channels. We brought our Fire, but as travelers that like to relax and enjoy our room, it would've been frustrating if it hadn't worked.

I have stayed at this Hotel on many an occasion . I try to make it a special thing to do with my daughters once a year usually around Christmas time. We decided to move it up a little this year , as it was my daughter's Birthday . While booking my reservation I was given a opportunity to get a Marriott credit card . I had had not even taken it out of the envelope and yet I received a bill for 1,000.00 for a two night stay in Indiana.I've never been to Indiana , Obviously not a very secure site . One of the " perks " of this paticular card was to get special perks !! When I made my reservations it went fine . I booked a room and a Spa package. Remember, I was to get a upgraded room , early check ( because we had a spa appointment ) and some other perks ! Well, you guessed it . The room was not ready for early check in . Therefore, we had to move down 7 floors with a view of the roof , it was beatiful. Ha ha . The handle in the bathroom fell off . We had two towels for 4 people. The glass on the tables were sticky and it was just not very clean . We then went to the Spa for pedicures. While I making these paticular reservations it was a joke . I called twice one for pedicures and once for massages for the following day . They had to call me back three times to get it correct . Yep, when we arrived it was completely wrong . Then after our very outstanding pedicures I had to pay . This is where I was basically scolded for having gift cards from Costco ."it's a new system" she said and was annoyed by it .! Not impressed !! The next morning we went for our massages they were of course messed up as well as to who was getting what !! Again while leaving I was scolded because my spa credit was added to my room and that had been paid for already . We checked out before we went to the spa. According to the clerk checking us out she made it clear she was annoyed by this . I guess my point is , is that I have been coming here for years and usually spend a substantial amount of money between the room , restaurants and the Spa. Usually of a 1000.00. I would like to continue this tradition but I might currently be looking for a different place to stay , spend my money and make memories in the future ,

A very disappointed guest !

I love coming here! The building is just beautiful and like stepping back in time. The restaurant is top notch, the Peacock bar is glorious, and I've never had better accommodations. The only complaint is Starbucks in the lobby. They really should have a local roaster, as burnt beans aren't to everyone's taste.

Great hotel that has an old-school vintage glamour. They have a Starbucks in the lobby and a great place for drinks at The Peacock Lounge. Rooms were great with a nice big shower and, of course, Davenport Beds. Excellent parking in their parking garage and free WiFi! Davenport Hotels are 5/5, for rooms, service, and location.

We stayed at the Davenport hotel for a couple of d...

We stayed at the Davenport hotel for a couple of days. While the hotel is lovely, I was disappointed in a couple of aspects of the service that the hotel provided.

First, we found splatters of (someone else's) blood on the side of the bathtub. Not sure what this was from, but it was clearly blood (my wife and I are both medical), and it was pretty gross. The room (double queen) was otherwise nice and spacious. Would've been great without the blood, though.

Second, I had made surprise plans (or so I thought) for a few spa treatments for my wife. Massage, facial and pedicure. I told her a couple of days in advance of the trip and she was really excited. And I was too, because it's been quite a while since she's gotten a day away from the little one to lounge in a spa. So you can imagine how profoundly disappointed both she and I were when she got down there to find that they had no record of reservations and could only accommodate one of the three things I had booked. This despite a phone call with the spa a couple of days earlier. Since it was short trip for us, there was little they could do. They knocked 50% off of the price of the massage, but when I emailed the spa manager and hotel manager, I never heard back from either. That was pretty disappointing as well.

Finally, for the Spokane market (not exactly mid-town Manhattan) I found their hotel restaurant and room service price-to-quality ratio out of whack. Way too expensive for the quality and level of service. In fact, when we were in the Palm Grill Restaurant for breakfast, there were multiple tables where folks were irritated with the restaurant service.

On the plus side, as I mentioned, the room was spacious and reasonably priced. There's not a ton to see/do around the hotel, but exploring the interesting architectural details of the hotel and the old photos was pretty entertaining for my daughter.

I can't say that we'd really stay at the Davenport again, and if we did, I certainly wouldn't use their spa or restaurants. Perhaps if they had been a little more responsive. And maybe cleaned up the blood.
