Set up delivery for Monday; they never showed. Set up delivery for the Tuesday; they never showed or called to tell me it was not coming. Still have yet to receive my $20,000 packages. I recommend never using this company.

Vender Used this company to ship a very urgent order. Unbelievable lethargy. So far 4 days to get a HOT shipment 452 miles, and still saying will take another 6 business day to deliver. Tried to pick up at a hub, but they can't tell me where the shipment is at for another 24 hours, or where it's supposed to be next. This is not a shipping company, as every other review has stated THEY ARE A JOKE.

I have been working with Custom Global for a long time because of the great service and expertise. The Customer Service Department is very friendly, helpful, and efficient. My sales rep Steve makes the entire process extremely simple from start to finish, and I never have to worry about anything! I highly recommend giving him a call.

Always a day or two late at best. Often times the driver can't find us, despite our location being at the intersection of two Interstates. One time I was told the driver was unable to reach us due to a low bridge. They had no explanation as to why three other semis from different companies were able to reach us with no issues.

Paid 200 dollar delivery charge at time of purchase for a couch and this company calls me saying that they will drop of my couch but to bring it inside it'll cost an additional 80 dollars. What a joke

Custom Companies has been an asset ever since I me...

Custom Companies has been an asset ever since I met David Chavez when he randomly walked on my dock (old school still works these days haha). When I have special projects that are needed (hot shots, international, just in time, FTL, Etc.) they have always came through in the clutch. Custom will always be a card in my back pocket and I am more than happy to name drop them to other people in the industry as well. Still looking forward to that calendar to post on my wall! Just kidding!

We use Custom Companies on a daily basis for our business. They are timely and transport our freight without damaging it and their customer service is always eager to help; especially when we need something shipped at the last minute. They are ALWAYS flexible and able to accommodate us. The account reps are great! Our rep, Jim Calzante is attentive and smart and makes sure our account is handled and always makes sure our shipments are taken care of as a priority. Custom will continue to get our business for their stellar service!

we have been driving for them for about a year.. if you are a CDL driver and your wife or husband would like to get their license they will let you train them. They have plenty of Team Freight... two locations Santa Fe Springs California.... Northlake Illinois.. you can run as hard as you want to or as easy as you want pretty easy to work for

I have never had a bad experience with The Custom Companies. They have always been reasonably priced and also have great service. The sales guy is very friendly and easy to work with. Dispatch is also always a pleasure to coordinate shipments with and they are fast at getting rates back to you. I would recommend and have recommended them to others.

Amazing rates but pretty useless if they can't even schedule pick ups.
Customer service phone number isn't really helpful. At the end of the phone call, they're just going to ask you to email them and never respond.

Worked with a person named William for a while. Once he left the company, started receiving pretty bad service.

Their rates are the best but not the best service.

Once customer service improves the company could be 5 stars.

Been doing business with Custom for over 15 years and had no major issues. My sales rep (Steve) is great! Very knowledgeable of the industry and really helpful. The accounting (invoicing) team are also great, accurate, very few errors if any. MY GO TO FREIGHT COMPANY!!!

Terrible service, keep telling you it will be delivered the next day, sits in their warehouse for days dormant, will not help you on the phone, leave you on terminal hold to punish you for questioning their delivery service. Will be in their terminal day 5 or 6 by the time it is actually out for delivery. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY

I've worked with The Custom Companies for over 5 years now and can't express how much this company, moreover Jon Dujardin, my territory manager, goes above and beyond to meet our company's needs. He always responds within a timely manner and works his best to solve any issues that may rise. He's devoted to his role in the company and is great at what he does. I can't forget about Ray Hecker, he's always on top of everything and responds within minutes. They make a great team and I'm proud to be part of it. Custom has very competitive pricing and causes other 3PL companies flee as they cannot compete with them. They also have excellent customer service! Be sure to reach out to Jon Dujardin to bring you on board!

Let me start this off by saying this company is the most unprofessional shipping company I have ever dealt with. So last Tuesday(7/07) I had called them to set up my delivery for my rims and tires for Wednesday 7/08 after a no show on the delivery I call the customer service number. After speaking to multiple people, it seems my pallet was lost. I was told they were looking for it and I should call back in a couple hours to see what was going on with it. So within a couple hours I call back and I was told by a customer service rep that they had the pallet and that they would allow me to drive up to them(which is 60 miles away from my house). I made the drive up to Northlake IL, upon arrival I call the customer service number once again and I was told my pallet had been shipped to Indianapolis, IN and that no one would have told me to come and pick up my pallet. So after all this I call the original company that I ordered the rims and tires from, custom offsets which has no affiliation with the custom companies. After all of this and about week time frame of lies, I am finally getting my refund back and the conclusion came out that pallet is marked lost. I am extremely displeased with the professionalism of this company and their customer service reps.

Based on my experience I highly recommend Custom Co... I called and made arrangements to pick up from Iowa shipping to Chicago, they picked up within a few hours and delivered the next day for a very affordable rate, UPS wanted to charge me 10 times (no exaggeration) what Custom charged me for the same service... so far so good Custom, keep it up and the rating stays at 5 Stars... I'm actually booking another shipment right now...

A vendor used Custom Companies for an extremely urgent shipment from Los Angeles to San Diego. Granted that it was over the holidays, the service has been completely unacceptable. The shipment was picked up on the 24th at 11AM with an ETA of the 26th. I called on the 26th because I could not track it on their website. I was told that it was still in L.A.. That the shipment would be marked as HOT to get it here the next day. This was at 11AM on the 26th. The shipment left LA at nearly 7PM. I was able to track it this morning (the 27th) and it simply showed it was in L.A. I called up again and was told that it was waiting to be unloaded but the delivery drivers had all gone out already so it will be delivered on Monday.

At this point I explain that this is a shipment for a production line that will be coming in Saturday because of an urgent order and without these zippers they will not be able to get very far. I offer to pick them up from their hub and just need to know when they will be unloaded. After being put on hold for a few minutes I am told the truck will be unloaded overnight. There is nothing they can do about it. At 9 in the morning there is nothing they can do to get 1 pallet with 3 boxes on it off a truck any earlier than overnight. Of course I am then met with "Unfortunately there are no guarantees with LTL shipments". So no we have to plan around them because they will be 1 day shy of a week in getting a pallet with 3 boxes from Los Angeles to San Diego.

UPDATE 12/30: It finally arrived. on an Enterprise rental truck. Their tracking still shows the last update as "TRAILER DEPARTED LOS ANGELES, CA 12/26/2013 18:25". I'm just glad we finally got our material. I'll be sure to avoid using Custom Companies in the future.

Have been a customer of custom companies for 10+ Years. Their customer service agents are terrible and hang up when they don t want to answer your questions. Fright is regularly picked up/dropped off late. They keep billing the wrong place even though I ve told them time and time again to change the billing address. The only reason they don t get 1 Star is the pricing we receive from them. Lowest by a wide margin.

First of all it was supposed to be a blind shipment, meaning you do not disclose information of where the merchandise is going and where its coming from. After they reassured me like 12 times (not exaggerating) they still disclosed my information to the locations. they sabotaged my business. STAY AWAY FROM THEM. they should be shut down. there company is a big JOKE.

At the time of booking a load, broker was not approved by our Factoring Company so had to be billed directly. We have only done 1 load so far and getting paid was the most difficult part. The AP department would answer the phone, but you are being asked the send email to request the payment status. After you send the email, be prepared to wait 1-3 business days to get an update. And that's how communication is going to be from that point. Pretty frustrating experience.

You have to wait on hold for at least 5 minutes to get a hold of anyone. They will reschedule pick ups on you and wont let you know. Send in the wrong trailer size multiple times. A pain to work with

Our company has been using them for over 16 years now. I can't speak for everyone else. But they have never missed a pick up for the company I work for. They're always on time. && if not the driver calls me ahead of time to let me know. Hell, Bill, the driver that picks up from us everyday, even loads himself half the time. Would highly recommend.

I ordered a delivery of a pallet from CA to Wichita KS. They shipment has been sitting in KC 180 miles away and no one has called as promised for a delivery time. I ve called them many times and after being on hold for 30 minutes listening to their hold message that says they care and are all about customer service but the online chat doesn t work. When I finally got ahold of their rep they gave me a phone they said they are just the broker and not responsible for the trucking company. They gave me a phone number to the KC Terminal and they don t have the shipping and didn t have any info. I ve called chatted, emailed. They finally callEd and the excuse for why it wasn t delivered was they lost the paperwork. Really? I don t recommend you trust this company unless you want a terrible customer experience

Terrible logistics, no one knows where my package is. Everyone I contact has a different answer. Their partner Estes is terrible as well. Called to tell me my package was on their dock. I dove all the way out there to retrieve my package. Rep says they can't find the package, and don't know where it's at. They should consider getting out of the business.

I have been calling this company for the past 2 days my shipment has been sitting in a truck at a facility and I have called numerous times asking when they expect to unload the truck I have gotten multiple excuses apparently no one unloads trucks on Fridays I have offered to go pick it up myself now I have to wait another 3-4 days for them to unload the truck and to contact me and then set up a day for them to deliver this company is a absolute joke!!!!!!
it amazes me that they can not even contact the place my shipment is sitting at to see when they are actually gonna unload it

Had taken off work to receive the package that Friday and did not show up. Would not recommend using them for any shipments.

I haven't had a great experience with Custom Compa...

I haven't had a great experience with Custom Companies. They did have their servers hacked which caused the servers to be shut down. I can understand some setback and delays because of that, but it's been nearly 3 weeks. They picked up my shipment on June 30th and immediately lost track of it. After calling for weeks I wasn't able to get any useful information other than that they thought it would arrive at the local terminal (operated by another company) last week. I called the terminal several times and they had no record of the shipment showing up. Custom Companies told me that it was probably just because they hadn't entered it into their records yet. The reality is, it never never arrived and nobody has any idea where it is actually at.

Custom Companies is now telling me the terminal had 6 shipments without a manifest so there's no way to tell if one of those is mine. How that happens in the first place is beyond me, server issues or not. The staff at the terminal; however, did inform me that all the shipments they've received from Custom Companies actually do have a manifest, mine just isn't one of them.

Update (6/22): After the package being lost for 21 days I received a call to have delivery scheduled on 6/21. With everything scheduled, I took the afternoon off work to accept the delivery. It did NOT show. I was told the driver called in sick and that I should have been notified (I wasn't). I was then told the shipment could be delivered early the next day (6/22). After nothing showed up the morning of 6/22 I called the terminal. The shipment is sitting on their dock. They said the soonest it could be redelivered was (6/23) because all their trucks had already left. When I asked why they just didn't leave it on the truck to be delivered today I was told that they have to schedule residential deliveries. SERIOUSLY!? Had they called me the previous day to notify me it wasn't going to be delivered this could have been handled. Absolute nightmare.
