Very interesting. There is a package that includes the visit to the cave (8km away).

Nirox Sculpture Park exhibition was so inspiring! Especially "Pulse" by Lorena Grilled Vaschetti !! A Must go experience!

Was OK. No TV in the room but the owner was inviting and it was clean enough. No aircon though and a very small fan/heater

Exhibitions are good. Too much propaganda and non-subjective view on the country.

Super cool. Makes you feel really old though. Great to appreciate human history and where we all come from.

The staff is amazingly friendly. The tour of the caves were a great experience and a lot of fun. We really enjoyed our time there.

not worth the price with only 8 lions in 3 cages. take into consideration you also have to pay extra for giraffe feeding, lion cub visits, etc... main drive @ R195 for self drive + R85 for tigers, R75 for lion cubs & R40 for giraffe feeding per person..

International quality visitors centre that is both entertaining and educational.

Food is available at multiple restaurants, there is a licensed restaurant and a restaurant with a buffet. No doubt you will enjoy this trip.

It's very obvious that you may lost if you search for cradle of humankind in map. As there are 15 caves and in combine its known by this name. So in your gmap or navigation system type "The Cradle of Humankind Visitor Centre Maropeng" to reach the museum. Exhibits fossils that are found in the caves and race of human evolution. Good place to visit with family and friends.

Wonderful museum, well thought through, incredible finds in a beautiful landscape.... Follow on to visit the Caves after the museum, spectacular!

Very well studied museum, offering interactivity and information suitable for all ages. If you are around it is definitely recommended.

It was very pleasant but I think a lot can be done to improve the place to entertain children or learners during a visit

The Origins retreat centre (origins.co.za) offers a variety of guided and individual spiritual retreats. Go find God again.

Stunning and informative centre with all you'll ever need to know about the evolution of man. Note if you plan to visit the Sterkfontein cave you will need to drive approx 10 minutes form Maropeng. It's well worth it though.

Human history makes me think of my 1st year of university evolution

A great place if you love history and highly educational.

Wonderful experience for the whole family. Children under 8 may get bored.
It took us about 90 minutes to work through the whole museum where most of the exibits were in good functioning order.
Birders can bring binoculars to see some species not seen in the city. Safe area to walj around in _apart from some venomous snakes_!
