We had a wonderful day at this place I did not even know this place existed until recently, we wanted to see the rhino's but they were up in the koppies, our highlight of the day on our way out we met face to face with them, 5 huge rhino's who know how to observe the rules of the road, just as we were driving out, when they got to the road they stop to deliberate before crossing, that gave us chance to see them closely, 5 huge beautiful creatures

Had done my hot air balloon ride here and it's an amazing place to look up from top. Beautiful countryside and nature lovers will love this place.

One of the most scenic side of Johannesburg a short 20 minutes drive outside the north western side of the city, this is country style at it's best with lots of farm style eating place as well as trout fishing farms dotted along the way, check Brookwood Estate and surrounds, perfect way to chilled under shady trees, huge green areas for children to run around and of course fly or spin fishing for trout, yellowfish, bass, bream / kurper and carp, this area is also great for mountain biking or horse riding, this is one of Johannesburg best kept secrets outdoor place.

Don't take little kids. Very little for them to do and the boat ride is quite scary in the dark

Make sure you ask for directions to Maboneng, or you will be taken all over the Cradle area.

Serious museum with mix of water park. Slight lack of cohesion overall. Visitor route slightly surprising- you are diverted to a side door to start. Historical statues outside excellent

A must see to discover our beginnings. Amazing site.

I went to the Hominid exhibits only, and it was a great experience, there is so much to see and learn about there. There is a lot of visually appealing exhibits as well as educational exibits that require a bit or reading. The faclities are very nice and it gives you a sense of closeness to ancient man that roamed these lands. I is best for a full day event. the Sterkfontein caves are also near by which is offered as a package to those that come.

Nice drive out here.. Kids always love the ride thro the cave and ofcourse the tour n taking pics.. Will post them when I can find them on my fb page.. Being here twice.. Always a hit for kids ages 5 to 15.. Its a lovely place to revisit every few yrs.. Curio shop to visit.. So I guess they improving all the time to add interest for curious minds

An amazing spot. A great learning opportunity for kids, and a very confusing ride to boot. The cafeteria even serves amazing drinks, and the cafe's food is surprisingly good and cheap. A real find.

A good experience. Visit the caves where fossils of early man was found. Guides are well trained and tour was interesting.

Friendly staff and the entire area is very clean. A lot of options and activities for kids as well. We really enjoyed the boat and the warped tunnel. Definitely worth it for a day outing.

What an awesome experience - the most friendly and attentive staff we have had in a long time, including some well known places! Very good food, we'll presented and tasty. To add to a lovely afternoon, good music we could actually listen to and enjoy! Will go back for all the mentioned reasons!

We had a good time here fishing for specimen carp. The dam was clean, the banks were clean and so were the bathrooms.

It was amazing. Everything is done so nice. Staff was so friendly. Tour guide was excellent. All i can say is...go there around 1 so you have ample time to read and experience what they have created for you.

Incredible museum. The best museum I have ever visited, which includes famous ones like the Natural History Museum and Science Museum in London!

The Cradle of Humankind Visitor Center Maropeng is, basically, the museum of the Humanity because it analyzes us from the beginning princely, from the before being to the impact of our present actions. The visitor center of Maropeng is a family museum where topics ranging from physics and biology to anthropology are presented in fun and highly interactive ways, with thoroughness in stages of history and deep questions about what we can do to have a better future . If you are an "adult" of those who do not dare to play and who believes that you only learn in a boring way ... this is NOT your place. Now, if you let your little inner child free, it may happen to you as I do, that I regretted not being able to spend more time with him.
