I just called about the switch of venue for the goosebumps event. I had questions and concerns ( which im sure everyone who had bought tickets does ) and i was speaking with a lady who was extremely rude and not at all helpful. The level of rudeness was off the charts. I will not purchase any tickets to any event here, strictly because of the poor customer service i received today. you need to retrain your staff on how to deal in customer service. I wish i had gotten her name, so i could post her, it was unbelievable. She was a complete curmudgeon, and im no futher ahead with info, then i was before the call. what a joke!!!!! thanks for nothing.

Great venue for a great performance. Only weird thing is that there weren't any waste bins where I was standing before the show... only a recycle bin. No doubt people put everything into the recycling, making it a pointless effort.
Again though... great venue.

I've been to the Roy Thomson Hall on many occasions and I do like it. I just have problems with it's age and I think I've seen better halls that are more newer. However, the old age and historical value definitely makes this place beautiful. Also, it is able to hold so many visitors. I just think the architecture of the building is not as pretty as the new Canadian Opera House.

Amazing we heard a renditions of John Williams music, and it was incredible, something worth of attending. Great great conductor, sorry I don't know his name but he was amazing together with the Toronto Symphony.

Beautiful venue, great acoustics! I love the architecture - striking from the outside and interesting inside. But wow the architect really failed on the washrooms! There is one bathroom hidden in the staircase. It s so gross and so busy during intermissions. Needs 3x as many washrooms at least. They should have added some in the major renovation.

This is an intimate concert hall. When it's quiet, you can have a conversation with someone on stage from the back row of the top balcony: sound travels well here. The performance hall itself is almost brutalist in style with concrete formed balconies jutting out over the main seating. The intermission services was quick, and the selection of beverages and snacks is impressive. I was most pleased with the red wine list as it offered Ripasso and Chateaux-neuf-du-pape, both unexpected from typical boring merlots and cabernets. I sat in the choir seating (L2) for the TSO and was rewarded with an outstanding view of the piano soloist, his hands, the conductor, and the orchestra. Go for row A or B.

I hadn't been here in a long time. The first time I was here was for a field trip to see the orchestra during middle school. I distinctly remember falling asleep. The next time I was here my friend asked me to watch a performance during university and I was hesitant because of my prior experience but thought I'd give it another shot. I tried super hard not to fall asleep and did not but there was definite head nodding.

This time I readily decided to go since Justin Nozuka would be performing. I've seen him play many times before, but usually at smaller venues like Phoenix Concert Theatre, Mod Club and the like. When he started playing the sound was incredible. The acoustics here are so much better than anywhere else I've seen him play.

Just a note that the escalators only seem to ascend. To get to a lower floor there's the stairwells by the washrooms.

Star Wars: Return of the Jedi was an awesome experience, the TSO were incredible throughout. The only disappointing thing was post-event, we felt rushed to get kicked out of the building by the staff. Not really given much time to digest and take it all in, take pics, etc. especially that it was our first time there. Was a bit off-putting, after an otherwise great show experience.

Roy Thomson Hall is a great historic venue for performances. However, it's quite sad to see how much it has allowed its patrons/audience to diminish the Hall's ambience & beauty. Four decades ago, going to RTH meant going to a sacred place to watch the TSO & other performances in an environment that was revered, awed and held in high regard. Now, it allows tardy ticket holders to come in disrupting other audience members from full enjoyment. Btw...what's up with the alcohol and popcorn that's allowed during the performances? By intermission, the entire Hall looks like it has been trashed. It's not the RTH I remember as a child.

Nice place. Architecture is a little dated but it is the only place to listen to the Toronto symphony. The building had also been featured in a lot of movies such as Arnold Schwarzenegger s movie, total recall.

I've had two experiences at Roy Thomson Hall. I've been to one musical show, and one play. It's a beautiful Theatre, the main level area is pleasant and well lit, there is adequate staff for directions and to answer questions. Parking can be an issue, we could not get the discounted parking because apparently it's on and availability basis, so we had to pay extra. I suppose this is just a part of having an establishment downtown. I imagine I will go back, for what I do not know yet, but would recommend this place as a good atmosphere for any venue. The transit in the area is fantastic, it's actually probably the best option for attending a performance.

I went here for a Tori Kelly concert. The auditorium has good acoustics. The seating from certain angles on the ground level and balcony are somewhat obsctructed - the balcony and right and left diagonal seating rows do not allow for a pleasant experience as compared to centre row seating. Otherwise this is an ideal venue for music and other performing arts. The lighting and sound technicians appear to know what they're doing. The stage is a fair size. Good overall
