Get there early and watch it fill up, the audience is the decor

I love going to Concerts with my Partner but Roy Thompson Hall, unfortunately, has not sufficiently made their building user friendly for people with disabilities. For people with canes or wheelchairs trying to get to their aisle seats, especially in the orchestra section, this can be a trying experience and stairs to the men's room, forget it. Staff there told us this is a common problem for visitors, especially tourists and they hear these complaints constantly from older patrons. Call ahead when ordering your tickets as there are special seating areas for people with disabilities we have been told but I think we will subscribe only to venues that recognize the need for Universal Access which I hear is the law in Ontario now for public building access.

Love TSO concerts! Nice concert hall. Even the inexpensive seats are convenient.

Roy Thomson Hall features comfortable seating, wonderful acoustics and a marvelous stage. I went here for a Spivakov concert with my mother and we both enjoyed it very much.

The sisters introduced us especially, and it was especially mysterious. The ticket for the Beethoven concert on April 10th was set. This gift was specially prepared for the son. The wife was too surprised! ! We are looking forward to it!

We had a beautiful night listening to the Toronto Orchestra and choir. The staff were fantastic & really helpful in directing you around the complex. Plenty of staff around to assist, you never had to look to far for help.

Trapped in the Roy Thompson underground IMPARK for 30 minutes after TSO concert. There was a long lineup of cars suffocating in fumes underground. Forget about performance!

The structure is beautiful abs there's free live music on the patio Thursdays and Fridays

Beautiful concert hall, enjoyed several classical performances by TSO during the past 4 years.

Good venue. Check your tickets because they do have some squirrelly side seats that are awkward to view the stage from.

Recently watched Home Alone accompanied by the symphony. Really well done and a great atmosphere. The audience really got into the performance and Christmas spirit. Highly recommend it but get your tickets early as they go fast.

I was a first timer and it s just a magical experience!!

I always marvel at the acoustics in this space. From outside it sort of looks like a UFO has landed, but the inside with the auditorium in the centre and the various bars sprinkled around the perimeter promotes movement. It is a fascinating piece of architecture.

It is wonderful to watch a beloved movie while having the orchestra playing. Always have a great time.

Watched Kamasi Washington and Herbie Hancock in one night, an awesome music hall. You can be sure basically any seat will have a good view because of how steep the seat rows are. This was my view (zoomed in with phone) from C9 seat e 10. If there's one thing I can nitpick about its the sound engineers, during Kamasi's performance the drums were waaay over powering to the point that I did not enjoy 2/5 of his set list even though I'm a huge fan of his music. The people working there were also very helpful with directing me to my seat and elsewhere.

Beautiful building produces delight. Haven't had so much fun since the Cinesphere and 'North of Superior'

Very beautiful venue, iconic and unique in design. Is a beautiful environment to enjoy all sorts of chic events. The endless glass structure opens the space up to the outdoors, essential in the harsh winter climate. Also, a convenient and affordable place to park underground.

Great venue and wonderful location. The TSO is second to none. Roy Thomson Hall provides a diverse selection of shows. Not a bad seat in the place! And acoustics are fantastic.

Beautiful building, great hall. Seats have great view even from the very top. Comfortable to seat in. Very helpful staff kept directing all the way through.

Went to hear Handel's Messiah, it was simply amazing! Always love coming to this place!

Great modern facility built to look good in 100 years

Until I was recently at a corporate even here I was not aware that they hosted private parties. A unique venue.

Amazing experience performing there. It was my debut performance as a violinist and the experience and atmosphere was amazing. Still cannot believe I performed there. Very very nice and calming place. The music being played there was so rich and beautiful.

Recently attended Handel's Messiah and was shocked at the ugly railings beside the choir. Is it just me? What on earth, the stage bleachers look like some construction site, with metal make-shift temporary railing pipes. It was just visually distracting.

Overall it's a pleasant building, despite all the concrete, which perhaps reflects the period when it was built. Lots of mirrors and glass. The staff were quite organized and professional.

And Google Maps, I don't know about the acoustics being world class, that's a bit of an exaggeration.

The orchestra played the symphonies to all the original trilogy Star Wars films here.

I tried the new intermission drink pre order service. Ordered before the show, and my second drink was ready for me right at the front, no waiting in line!

Hope to one day see them play to a showing of Indiana Jones or Looney Tunes

No complain for the concert, but the parking is a pain. The entrance is too narrow, only one lane. Took us 25 minutes just to enter the underground parking. Plus some people just decided to park their car in the middle of the drive way in the parking, made other people so hard to go to the lower level parking.

Great sound. Slow bartenders. Lack of washrooms. Super long rows hard to get out.

One of the best places where you can enjoy classical music. Even up in the C balconies the sound is amazing.

The staff tried to tell me I wasn't allowed to return to my seat "at the artist's request"... I still managed to get back to my seat though.

Other than that, the venue is beautiful.

Went for the John Williams tribute. This is a real treasure for Toronto.

Found it hard to find our section. Needed to ask staff for directions. Drinks hideously expensive so skipped that.

I love the programs the TSO offers. The architecture is nice and the atmosphere warm and welcoming.

An iconic location, but a little hot and cold with the staff. Some of them are all in , others (the younger ones) are not quite as committed to going the extra, or even entire, mile.

They don't have the best acoustic, but surely a special place for Torontonian classical music fans.

Went here for a concert for the first time. The venue was very nice. I appreciated the fact that they had water fountains outside the doors with little paper cups as we had to throw out our water bottles. Also that the speakers were playing throughout the bathroom so that I didn't feel I missed much when I needed to use the washroom.

Lovely venue to watch the TSO. I attend often and always enjoy it. Staff is very pleasant and polite. Attended once for a private party and the catering and service was fantastic.

Great location for events. Accessible and large enough to fit a whole lot

Stunning place with almost always empty space somewhere alongside cheap pop and snacks (excluding wine and beer), coat checks at a low price and sound resonating throughout the seating area. The TSO and orchestras that play there are all extremely skilled and the conductors are kind. Overall great place.

Iconic building, though TSO has been up and down over the years. Sometimes you can see people shooting movies and TV shows here.

With Massey Hall closed for renovations this is the alternative. Good acoustics and sightlines with none of the character of Massey. Hopefully the new Massey won't lose its ambience.

Good venue. Larger than a hall like koerner in Toronto and the acoustics suffer for it. But tasteful and serves it's purpose
