Great service & comfortable suroundings but could have done with more bar staff as we were attending a funeral & there was a large turn out the meal was five star rating.

Great grub, amazing views! A good place for weddings / communions, etc. as it's spacious.

I was expecting a lot better for the price than it cost! Nothing to say about the service and the staff but the room is very noisy. The black box on my photo is probably the air conditioning of the hotel that makes a noise all night! We were lucky to have good weather so we wanted to open the windows to get some air but impossible because of the noise. So it's too hot in the room and no way to adjust the air conditioning.
Let's also talk about the sound of the shower, the ventilation of the bathroom. Small details that normally in a hotel that says luxury should not exist

We returned to the Hotel 2day,2 have a coffee & dessert,on 1st September 1990 we had our Wedding here at the Hotel 30 years ago. Unfortunately after ordering our coffee which arrived promptly it took about 15 minutes or so b4 our desserts arrived.

My partner and our two kids stayed here for one night recently as I had food poisoning and couldn t travel all the way to Dublin. The whole team here was so welcoming, from checking us in early, to giving us some complimentary food for our kids just so they could help out. Rooms were lovely and comfortable. The entire place is fab and very cozy and I couldn t recommend it enough! Definitely coming back to stay for a proper holiday!

We visited the place without any booked room just to have a breakfast. We took full Irish Breakfast and it was awesome! Specially the hash browns were perfectly made! Service was very good too. The view from the Hotel is stunning as well! Definitely recommend!

Fantastic hotel and excellent leisure centre. Rooms with exceptional view. Staff friendly and obliging. Stayed here for my fortieth birthday and had a truly wonderful weekend. I could not recommend this hotel highly enough!

We had the most fabulous time at the lakeside hotel ,from the minute we arrived we were made so welcome nothing was too much trouble from front of house right the way to the leisure centre bar and waiting staff to the hard working domestic staff ,the food was amazing beautiful scenery and walks ,we will definitely be back again hopefully for a longer stay next time thanks to everyone maserati ,sinead Justina to mention just a few thank you so much best wishes kathleen Liz and Christina 12/13/10/2020

Beautiful location overlooking the water. Great food and friendly staff. And the leisure centre is great for the kids.. pool has a great waterslide.

Nice hotel, great position, clean, spacious parking, prices in bar is fair.

Didn't like the quality of the rooms for the very expensive price. A bit gruby. But the staff and food were second to none

The hotel on the outside looks pretty good, it is well located, the staff is friendly and the breakfast is average, but the room is horrible. The door of our room did not close properly, and if it was not closed properly, the alarm did not stop ringing.

We had an amazing two night stay in the lakeside. We didn't realise till we got to hotel there was no lift, and having an accompanying adult who would need very little exercsion the receptionist was more than accommodating and sorted it all out so he could have a ground floor room so he could have ease of access to all areas of the hotel with ease of mind. Everything about this hotel was just wonderful we has a fabulous time. Thank you lakeside hotel for your hospitality

The cleanest best maintained Hotel I've been in for some time The breakfast was devoured x4 kids from 8-16- all very satisfied Leisure centre provided swimming hats as well as the 1 for the lockers- never seen a cleaner better run pool area (all with slides) Used gym & had dinner in bar(fire would have been nicer) all with ease Nice staff, felt like a guest!

Unfortuneatly this lovely hotel is under level 5 lockdown for the month of January. It is a friendly place right beside the Shannon river.

Bitterly dissapointing - booked some tea coffee and light food for a family anniversary on a Saturday evening .... Very poorly staffed, no one to assist serving and food only appeared 45mins after arranged time. Food + drinks to match service. I spent my time apologising to all my (90no. Guests) for the service... I should NOT have to do that.... Surely says it all... Despite me telling staff that I didn't receive any explanation why it was so under resourced. My 2 stars are being generous.

Spiders everywhere! Dusty, old, and not clean! My bed had visibility been spelt in with hair and makeup on the sheets. Disgusting.

Large spacious rooms and very attentive staff. Great food selection for breakfast.

Some rooms are a little noisy due to proximity to the aircon vent but overall it is a great venue for weddings and special events!

We went for an afternoon coffee and cake. The service was good, our waitress was nice. There were six of us and four ordered the warm brownies. They came solid as a rock so we had to swap them out for ice cream. Other than that, nice place.

We had a fantastic stay in The Lakeside at the weekend... The Waterfront rooms are stunning and so relaxing! We had a fabulous dinner in the restaurant (real quality food for every course, and a very good wine list too), and had a great evening in the music-filled bar afterwards! The breakfast the following morning was also delicious! Finally, the staff are exceptional too - led by Eoin, the manager, who is a gent, and professional to a tee. Stay - you'll have a great time!

I may be biased being local yet this hotel has one of the best views available in the country. The staff and management are professional that offer a warm welcome service and the steak here is one of my favourites in the country. Had a fantastic time in the pool with the kids, it's perfectly designed for a young family with infant and toddler areas for both and a deep pool for the adults. Staff was extremely helpful and made a fuss of the kids. Both my toddlers have been spending all this morning asking to go back there. Highly recommended!

No room service,ordered wine to be in the room when me and girlfriend arrived there was no Cork for the wine,I used the restrooms in the lobby and they were absolutely filthy was disgusting.
