Central location, great food at affordable prices. Big group tables in the yard made it easier to socialise with everyone in our group.

Great for after work drinks and dinner. Large range of parmigianas for all tastes.

Very good value for money,good atmosphere,wouldn't find anywhere I believe that is better value for money.

Filet Mignon wrapped in bacon (rib eye fillet) really wrapped up my day fantastically. Fresh draft beer and very friendly and helpful service staff.
Love to be back soon. Big thumb up for down under. Cheers!

Ordered a gluten free chicken parmi, came out with (non gluten free) gravy... Fortunately I spotted this and was replaced without hesitation, but the excuse "the junior chef didn't know" - you've got to do better than that.

Not that good. Broken shower, brocken roomdoor, one bathroom for woman and Men. It looks way better than it really is.

Nice food and generous serving sizes. Had a work christmas function and we had one of the service staff as our contact who did everything we needed.

Great pub in a superb location! Wood fire has been going when I've been previously but not on this occasion.
Drinks list looks good. Menu was fantastic. A fantastic parmi and I've had other things from the menu before.
This night I had the wallaby parmi with wilted greens and a cream sauce. Tasty crumb, greens plentiful, and a great sauce. Chips on the side were great, large cut with just enough seasoning. Small lettuce side salad with shaved parmigiana was a nice touch. The lady had fried calamari. Tasty and tender, and a good serving size. The ?hot sauce / chili mayonnaise was fantastic.
The only thing letting this review down was I feel as though the interior dining space could do with a little more work. We were in a space with a concrete floor. Maybe a flower on the table, or a candle? Not sure. The service by an older lady was a little flat, but three young gents that we saw were very nice.

I went to the Brunswick yesterday for lunch and got a parmi. Long story short, best damn parmi I have ever eaten. Next time I am craving a parmi I know where I'm going.

The best place to go for a beer and bar meal in Hobart.

I went to the bar/restaurant area for an organised event, and the place was great: good atmosphere and decent service except for perhaps the long wait times (understandable perhaps given the number of people attending). Food wasn't too bad either.

A very nice place to stay if you like talking with people and so. Good service and very nice people.

Good rooms, comfortable bedding, free wifi. A really nice place to stay, only a couple issues being loose taps in some of the showers and one of the hallway lights not working, making it a bit hard to find the keyhole to my room in the dark

Ordered a medium rare $50 steak it was a great cut but cooked to death and zero care from staff

Great pub food! Steak was slightly overcooked (asked for medium rare, got medium/medium-well in places) but it was tender and delicious.

Great for Friday after work drinks. Meals are good at a good price. Bar staff are often under pressure but the wait is never too long. Live music makes this a great little pub.

Really great service, great atmosphere and music. Food was delish and those thick cut chips are amaze!

Went for dinner meet and greet the day before a wedding. Good space to mingle with a decent menu. The schnitzel was great!

Good service, good food, good selection. For dinning there is a Large dinning area, dinning booths also available. For a social drink there are couches and the main bar.

We operated a private charity Trivia Night at the venue. Staff were helpful and the facilities fine for a 100 person event. Thanks Brunswick Hotel.

Food was pretty good, I found the live music a little loud as it was hard to have a conversation with my friends

Terrible service....terrible staff....fighting in front of customers and to top it off our keypass didnt work at 3 am along with 6 other people standing outside with there useless key passes....we didnt ger in until 7.30 am as another guest who was feed up with the place was and walking out let us in...to rooms we didnt even get to sleep in !

Great service, excellent meal and awesome range of beers on tap. It should be harder to get a booking in this joint.

The best parmi I've ever had. Not cheap but worth it for special occasions.

Experience in the grill >>> Pros: friendly & outgoing bar staff. Cons: very underwhelming scotch fillet steaks (asked for rare and got well done) as well as being served cold, and presented with industrial grade coleslaw. Price would have been appropriate for fine dining, not for pub quality food with no table service. Also had to shout across the table in order to talk over the music. Outside area would definitely be more appropriately used as a beer garden/entertaining area.

The pork belly salad! 10 dollar lunch menu rocks! Awesome drink selection, wonderful friendly staff great service.

Had a brilliant meal with colleagues last night. A great atmosphere, friendly and engaging team with a menu well worth exploring if you are in Tasmania. Located in the heart of the city, top of the list for destinations in Hobart.

Alright. To start. Meals are great. I had the sirloin steak. A little expensive but apart from that pretty good. Good service but staff were a bit eh. Unsure. Hard to explain. They are nice enough but they are very confused on everything. Not great at explaining. Good with food allergies though.
Anyway I rate a 4 because of the service. Drinks are a bit expensive and meals abit on the expensive side aswell.

Fantastic staff, excellent menu and great selection of beer and other drinks. It may be a backpackers upstairs, but it's classy inside and casual outside. Caters for all, well priced. Best pub in Hobart

So...it's a "backpackers"...but it's so much more that that! We stayed in a single room. It had an ensuite, bed, and telle. It had everything you need if you're going to explore Hobart for the next day or two. The Hotel below offers amazing food.. and the best gravy if you ask my bf. It's central and a cheap place to explore the food and drinks of Tas.

As far as hostels go, pretty average, but as far as hotels go, pretty below average. The best part is the proximity to the water and most other points of interest around the Hobart region.

Nice hostel. They keep the rooms and bathrooms clean. The turn-around to get checked in when they were full the night before went as well as can be expected. They have a check-bag room for while you are waiting, also a good kitchen and common area.

Nice beers and great food but has a pretty strange way of closing fairly early in a somewhat rude way.

The parmigiana menu is superb. Love the atmosphere. Can't help but go back time and time again.

Quiz night at the Brunswick was lots of fun, the food was fantastic!

Nice place for a drink, but outside area is like a windtunnel and makes it hard to smoke a dart sometimes.

Some of the best parmis you can get in Hobart along with a great, affordable menu and a nice selection of beers, ciders and other drinks. The highlight is definitely Wednesday night Quizmeisters trivia held in the Grill up the back hosted by Tubes Taylor (make sure you book).

What an awesome feed, probably one of the best parmas I've had in a long time, they even made a gluten free option at no extra cost... so easy. Friendly staff and a good vibe!

Decent accommodation, affordable and centrally located. My stay was great except my room mate was a bit noisy but understandable as it is a 6-bunk bed room.

Lovely bar, good music, and good service. Unfortunately was too busy to get a table to eat at.
