The care for my parents by Eldercare's top notch PSW and nurses is second to none. They truly care about the clients and client's families. The nurses visit on site and provide updates and recommendations to family members. We have recommended Eldercare to people looking for PSW assistance. We needed someone at the house when my husband, who has Parkinson's, was hospitalized after a fall. We reached out to friends and someone recommended Eldercare as they had seen the high level of care provided. Another thing that was mentioned was the nursing and medical support being on hand. For us, Eldercare provides consistent high quality care ensuring that medications & meals are taken, as are naps and exercise. As a senior looking after an older senior, I appreciate the daily respite from being on duty and can get things done outside the home. My father has dementia and when my mother fell and broke her hip, suddenly there was no one to care for him. I called several agencies but when I spoke to Lisa, I got the feeling that this was the agency for us. Lisa came to my parent s house to meet with me and my dad in person while my mom was in hospital. She was calm and empathetic and knew what this whole horrible experience was like for us. She chatted with my dad and he liked her immediately. We have had several caregivers form Eldercare and they have all been punctual, reliable, helpful and understanding. Now that my mom is home we still employ Eldercare to help us out. I have nothing but good things to say about the service. If you need to change the timing of care due to appointments or activities the call centre is easily accessible and responsive. Highly recommend.
I carefully researched the market for a personal health care operation that would send to our home a qualified person to look after my wife who has cancer and whose mobility is limited.
I selected amongst others, Elder Health Care after receiving a number of good responses from various providers.
My selection was very much based on the personal visit of the owner, Lisa Wiseman, to my house where she interviewed my wife.
This approach was an understanding and compassionate way to offer the services available.
We used the services and I can say that we had marvelous service from the "worker" who was assigned to us. At all times I had full access to Lisa for any questions.
It has been an excellent experience using the services of Eldercare. And they are competitive with their rates.

I did a lot of research and landed on Eldercare Home Health as it was evident to me their registered nurse supervision, constant communication, and high standards for personal care workers would be beneficial for my uncle in his last few months. I was very happy with the extra mile that Eldercare went in many challenging situations with my uncle. I was able to rest easy knowing he was in great hands when I couldn't be there. If you're indecisive about a company to choose, this one is a no-brainer as I highly recommend them after my experience.
Everyone at Eldercare have been excellent, the caregivers are very caring and attentive to my father. The management and RN's are extremely professional and constantly in contact with family members communicating every issue that arises, sometimes before! Many times they went out of their way to accommodate issues and changes.

Outstanding agency that has been helping with the care of my elderly mother for 1.5 years now. Our main caregiver is exceptional - my very particular mother just loves her. Remarkably the agency provides a registered nurse/supervisor as part of the hourly rate (which I checked is the same as other agencies charge) - she has been incredibly helpful providing care and recommendations when my mother has had infections, felt discomfort, etc. even saving me time and hassle by contacting doctors and pharmacies for me so I don't have to. Lisa and her team really care and go above and beyond in their service. I strongly recommend EHH to anyone in the difficult position of needing care for a loved one.

Several years ago my mother, who was suffering from early stage Parkinson s, had a serious fall and ended up in hospital. Lisa Wiseman was kind enough to come to the hospital to meet my mother and discuss the options for remaining at home. There were several reasons we choose Eldercare Home Health, but the fact they have registered nurse case managers on staff was a major selling point for us.
Eldercare provided many years of compassionate care for my mother allowing her to spend her final years at home until she passed away in 2016. By that time my father also required additional help to remain at home and Eldercare easily made the transition. They continue to provide the same level of professional and caring support for him as they did for my mother.
I cannot say enough about Eldercare Home Health, their entire staff and the service they provide. I know I can reach them day or night with any questions I may have. Their entire staff has gone above and beyond with the level of care provided for my parents.

My mother has dementia. She needed a lot of motivation to get out of bed and participate in activities. I am thankful for Lisa and her team. The RN was in constant communication with updates. Safety was the top concern.The PSW looking after my mother was gentle, warm and kind. She also reported concerns to me right away and told me what she did about the concern. If the RN was in a meeting or off for the day, Lisa promptly responded to my e-mails. The RN on call over the weekend also made visits. If the PSW was away, the RN informed me that there would be another PSW to take over for the day. I was most impressed with the care and communication with me and my siblings at all times. I was no longer worried about my mom staying her room all day. Thank you and your team Lisa for the excellent care provided to my mother.
After a very poor hospital experience, when my Dad had to return to hospital again, we wired Eldercare to ensure he was well taken care of during his hospital stay. My Dad was particularly fussy about his caregivers and over the course of his stay, he was so pleased with the caliber of PSWs Eldercare provided that he continued to have them care for him when he came out of hospital. We were also very pleased with the level of care he received, and the ongoing supervision of his care by Nurse/Case Managers. We highly recommend Eldercare Home Health.
We engaged Eldercare Home Health about two months ago, when my parents ability to manage on their own changed suddenly. Although it was right before the holidays, Eldercare responded quickly and soon had help in place. Our team are polite, pleasant and reliable, and the caregivers always seem to be well-briefed. I also appreciate having the backup support of registered nurses, plus Eldercare s well-organized approach to communications. Very happy with the experience to date.
My father began to suffer from dementia a few years ago. Almost two years ago, he began to require daily observation and care. As he has continued to deteriorate, I supplemented his daily care using the services of Eldercare Home Health Inc. They have been very responsive to my needs and have been very professional. The care-givers they have provided have been fantastic and very helpful in not only providing the care my father currently requires, but in providing much needed relief to those who take care of my father otherwise, including me. Eldercare workers have been timely and have provided copious notes for my review. Two thumbs up!!!
Once Eldercare came on board to help with my Mother's care - she was suffering from advanced dementia - I could finally relax knowing she was in good hands. Lisa and her team were responsive and efficient, keeping us apprised of my mother's health and behavioural issues. They spent time find the right caregiver which was very important to us. My mother always smiled when her caregiver arrived which said a lot.

They do not give a safety standard to review before starting in-home nursing work. DEMAND ONE! Because their idea of protecting your loved one is only meant to protect the help's PAID TIME. Understand that their hired help is NOT qualified to administer First Aid or CPR. So if your loved one does fall and breaks something or gets injured to the point of blood loss, their personal are instructed to either remain and watch them suffer OR leave your loved one in a painful condition without assistance, with your loved one unattended and in a potentially life threatening situation!! Be wary of how this company handles emergencies. We hired them to PREVENT our mom from falling. That didn't work. Our loved one fell 3 times on their watch! And they refused to own up to their faults of service and ownership of poor performance. THEIR SERVICE IS NOT WORTH A SINGLE PENNY!
I worked with elder home health care for one year as personal support worker. I have nothing wrong to say but there are lots of good things. First time in the interview i met lisa and i loved the way she ask the questions . I was worried about my job because it was my first job in canada but she was so nice and understanding . All the nurses in company are highly educated and cooperative . Whenever i had issues they were there to help me . All staff members are good and understanding . I am so thankful to lisa and kathy because i have learned so many new things. All i have to say i loved to work with them and i aprreciate the way they provide services in community.
The caregivers for our mom were excellent. They took the time to really connect with her and always did little extra things for her to make her day more pleasant.
My mother has just spent the past several weeks under the care of Eldercare staff, including a wonderful RN who visited at least weekly named Yannique, and an amazing PSW named Kelsang who was with my mother daily. The care was excellent and we highly recommend this service to others in need of care for their senior family members.

When my father started having difficulty with his activities of daily living our family looked to Eldercare Home Health for assistance. They were wonderful in keeping our father safe and comfortable as his medical condition progressed. I am a physiotherapist living in BC and I was finding it difficult to manage his care from a distance. With the help of the nurses who provided me with regular updates on his condition; I was able to have informed conversations with his other healthcare providers and my family. During one of his hospitalization, I was in Toronto and had the opportunity to work along side the PSWs and I was very impressed by their professionalism and caring manner. They were always very kind and gentle with our father. Knowing he was safe in their care we were able to rest peacefully at night. Eldercare provided my wife s mom Frieda with exceptional care towards the end of her life. Our only regret is that we did not find them sooner.
