Good food at a reasonable price. Wallaby was tasty and would recommend.

Attended the yard out the back. Not a bad atmosphere a bit noisy but to be expected.

Awesome service. Nice chilled vibe.
Sadly the food was very bland.
The prawns over cooked, the scallops unrecognisable in flavour or texture due to the way they were over cooked and drowned in a bland sauce.
Parmi was also disappointing. The schnitzel a poor 1cm thick, covered in a mountain of toppings, somehow with no flavour.
The kitchen massively let this otherwise nice pub down.

Nice food great service, but music was too loud for 7:30pm

Beds were low standard, air con was hard to stabilize and took a long time to heat the room. No stairs for bunk bed. No bench or storage in bathroom. Good quality room for a back packers. Good location for the hotel. Free wifi available. Shower was good. Good staff service, very welcoming and good explanation of all procedures. Parking is available outside, very limited and paid between 8.30am and 4pm

Expensive drinks, and small dance floor. Nice outdoor area though

Over priced pub meals, dinky dive kind of place. Would rather either go to a pub or go to a nice restaurant/ eatery but it was a little bit of everything and that made it slightly tacky. We were a large group and were seated on a really long table so it was impossible to communicate with more than 1 or two people. A bigger table or two tables put together would have been better so that we weren't so spread out.

Can't work out if this place is meant to be an up market pub or downmarket backpackers.

Stood up to its bad reputation, the toilet door is half broken, I found chocolate coins and two sticky teaspoons under my bed. However the location is good and the pub is neat.

One of the most popular restaurant right into the Hobart CBD.

A great pub with a great selection of beer and wine.

Great venue. Great food selection and nice areas to socialise, whatever your preferences are.

Came in for one schooner. Just wanted the internet for 15mins. Refused. Grow up kids. (Ps 2nd oldest bar in oz? Hmmmm)

Great location , the cafe, supermarket, bank and takeaway shops around area. And good value for the price.

We stayed in the hostel. Decent room with clean towels each day. Little bar fridge in the room and sink. Checking in wasn t an easy task but we received a two for one drinks voucher on arrival. The place feels quite dated and old but the pub downstairs is very nice and new.

(Tassie backpackers) My stuff was stolen, the manager in charge didn t reply any at all, very disappointing...here s not an ideal place for the backpackers.

Nice atmosphere and decent food, not so great prices

Basically you get what you pay for. The beds were sunken in the middle. The remote control for the TV had some unrecognisable sticky substance. In future I will definitely pay more for something that is clean.

Good meal, if you like parmigiana then there is a lot of choice. Good selection of drinks and I enjoyed watching the cricket while having a few drinks with friends.

Visited for a work dinner and was very impressed by the food. The place has a great atmosphere and is very conveniently located in the CBD. I was disapointed though later. I phoned to book a table for another night and was instead given an email to enquire through. It was days before I received a response confirming I had a table, but by then I had already booked another venue. Would happily visit again though.

worst pub in Melbourne I don't even know why they are trying to reopen the place

Fireplace in the front bar and good food in the grill out the back. The truffle butter and beer bread is definitely one to try.

Decent food, was a great main meal, not a fan of the alternate drop entree and dessert, would prefer to make my own choices, good atmosphere, although very disappointed that the bar doesn't have any kind of sugar free soft drinks to mix with the alcohol

We ate in the beer garden in the Yard, service was excellent and friendly, food was delicious, atmosphere is super laid back, couches at the back are so comfy and we really liked the addition of big screen tvs

Fantastic service and the food was delicious. While I couldn't finish my parma because the serve was MASSIVE I was really impressed with the value for money. The haloumi fries were out of this world! We will come back here next time we are in Hobart.

Wallaby Schnitzel...with Convict topping... recommended!

We went here for dinner and the food was great. They were unable to make changes to the menu, ie add prawns to the vegetable pasta, but the lamb had some awesome flavours. The service was fantastic as well.

Referring to the accommodation: standard expected from a back backers. Shower hot water was intermittent at any time of the day and the head was too low with no way of adjusting it. Serves the purpose for those needing a quick overnight bed to sleep in, but nothing more.

Great pub atmosphere..... it's noisy with sports playing on the large screen TVs, music in the background and people drinking, eating and enjoying the food. The food here is good and you will find all the pub favourites here but the portions are huge.

Tiny little expensive room that was strangely hot and didn't have a working light. It was clean at least.

Had a meal here with my dad. The place has changed and grown - good service, quick and efficient in non-peak service times.
