I was approaching the restaraunt for lunch today when I was nearly knocked over by a waitress running out of the building to chase down a young kid who, from what I gathered from listening, hadn't paid his bill. I think that skipping out on a check is a horrible thing to do to anyone and should be addressed. However, watching your waitress grab a nearly 13 year old child by the collar of his shirt and cuss and scream at him in the middle of the sidewalk for all to see was a whole new level of unnecessary. Everyone watching was feeling uncomfortable and concerned. You couldn't have approached him with the check or had a manager follow? Needless to say our group turned around, as did others. It was disgusting to watch and I wouldnt give service to anyone who thinks that behavior is even somewhat acceptable.
If it were possible to leave a minus star In would!!! We waited for 2 hours and never received our food though several other larger parties that came in after us received their food. We were only a party of 2. The heat was turned up so high that we could barely breathe. The waitress was complaining and talking rudely about other employees. She kept promising our food was coming and it never did. We finally slapped $3 on the table and left. Ridiculous! I have never had such a bad experience in a restaurant! TGI Fridays should be embarrassed of this location!!!
Great place to enjoy a burger or a nice plate of meat. Not very kind but the staff deserves it
Not a long wait. Tables were extremely close together. Soda machine was broken so our choices were tap water or bottled water or beer. I ordered the chicken Parmesan. Chicken was dry and the Alfredo sauce on the noodles was very thick, like it had been re heated numerous times. My friend ordered the big ribs. They are not big. The ribs had hardly any flavor. With the meal you get fries and coleslaw. Coleslaw was just cabbage. No dressing. Nothing. Received about 10 fries. For the amount we paid food was horrible. Only good thing was our server Ginger. She was great. Do not think I would go back.
Slow service, got two out of four orders wrong. Food was decent.
Worst tgif I have ever been.food was delayed for over an hour. Meat was not cooked . Check had item that we never ordered.choose another place to spend your money.
I am a customer of the brand and have eaten in several of its franchises around the world and found this the worst TGI Fridays I have ever been. The atmosphere is a bit old and already deserves a renovation. Jack Daniels Ribs was hard and cold, a big disappointment. At least the Rib Eyed Steak was good as expected and the sandwich my wife ordered too, though with less sauce than expected.
Great food. Waiter was lovely. Saved us as we were very hungry and couldnt get a table anywhere else!!! The cheesesteak eggroll burger. Omg!
Poor overall for a TGI.
Turned up and seated quickly. Staff were all smiles. Order drinks and they took about 20mins to arrive. Then order food and that came about 30 mins later. Then waited for plates for a sharer platter. Food was ok.
There were quite a few staff but only 2 were serving.
We were waiting for more than 40 minutes then the waitress come and the first thing that she said you can go out if you will not wait. This was the bad experience that i had with Friends.
Chips were cold and hard, chicken breast was like leather and broccoli was almost raw-when I complained to waitress she brought me sickly American cheesecake free of charge and asked what she wanted me to do!From the Uk and their TGI are much better !!
Food was great..came out hot and just as I ordered it. Server was very attentive and we had a very enjoyable experience
Went there before Musical with family of 4.
Nice atmosphere similar to HardRock. Space was very growded. we were seated in nice place right side of the bar. We were in hurry and Sabrina our waitress managed to get our order very quick. Food ( whiskey glaced burger)was a 5 on scale to 6. really nice. 2 days later placed straight next to kitchen. Nice place but a bit cold air. Waiter was bit confused but okay. Food 4 scale to 6 (bones bowl). A bit different to talk because of noise.
Absolutely disgusting. The floors were no where near clean, and the kitchen was a horror to see. That wasn't the worst. The bathrooms seem to haven't been cleaned since the opening of the place. Food was just as bad. The salmon was overcooked and had to use a knife to cut into it. My broccoli was overstemmed and also undercooked at the same time. I recommend McDonald's over this place.
The worst TGIF ever
Terrible food and horrendous waiters
It was nice that they had ample seating but the service was horribly lackluster and they totally screwed up the orders. I ate mine and it was mildly acceptable but they totally got my wife's order wrong, then attempted to re-serve her the same food with "proper" toppings that were not totally identifiable. They credited the bill but what a mess!
There was no soap in the men's restroom which means the employees aren't washing their hands. Yuck!
I will never go here ever again . Worse service ever.
Service was very slow and most of the order was wrong. Waited to be seated and when the hostess came by she didn't seat us but simply pointed to an empty table across the room and said, "you can sit there." I will not be returning to this Friday's.
Food was blah and overpriced. Many items were pre made so you couldnt take meat out of it which was a big turnoff
Sper atmosphere and barmaid really nice ideal for a drink!
They treat their employees like garbage and sexually harass the waitresses. Do not give these animals your money.
Terrible nothing was right. Whole order was messed up.
Food was great and out fast. Our waiter had good timing and we received good service.
Cleanliness left much to be desired...
It closed to soon to be located near Time Square. We were the last people to order.
Great environment. Less food options for vegetarians. You guys should treat they are also fun loving pple hereafter even though they are vegetarian
Hello 10:45 PM and the kitchen is open, I love you
Waited 15+ mins for water, won t even accept separate checks or my stripes membership, the waitress seemed apathetic and was completely unaccomodating. There s no compromise on the menu, one of our party couldn t even order plain chips and salsa because the salsa didn t come with the plain chips. Food seemed like it was under the heat lamp for a long time, chicken strips were badly thawed and mediocre quality compared to other Friday s restaurants. There seems to be an overall lack of effort and care at this restaurant.
Good option after a Broadway show to have a reasonable priced drink and a snack. The place is spacious and clean. Very close to theaters. Attracts tourists and an older crowd. I appreciate that you can have a conversation with other clients.
Noisy, loud music and slow delivery. Toilets wasn't very clean. Ok+ food.
Time square prices for the beyond burger $20.00 (vegan) burger. In the DMV area $10-15. The service was slow. Dre seem overworked as he was rbe only server to 6 tables around dinner on a Saturday night. We waited over 30 mims for our food. Then my order was incorrect. I'm vegan .. We're nice and cool people.. But when we're hungry and need our food.. we get hungry sad.. I walked several blocks just to eat there.. because they provided a yummy option. I won't be back.. The drinks were good, even though I was unable to get a bone crusher.
I used to do to Saint Andrews s spring my lunch break, but after they closed this spot became my go to place! Few times I got a flyer with a discount (from a person standing with a huge TGIF sign on Broadway), but usually I am ready to pay full price since the quality of their food is amazing. Great employees!
The service is so slow...and the enless apps menu wasnt shown.. i had to ask..
Amanda was the greatest, 10 out of 10 would come again
Meh.. Good service but I have had better. You would figure the $19 burger would have more than a slice of bacon on it. Must be a bacon shortage in nyc....
I avoid chains like the plague, my experience here reinforces this self governed policy. My wife and I had literally 20 minutes to kill and the $4.50 margarita happy hour seemed reasonable. We entered and sat at the bar. The bar was unkept. Checks with signatures, dirty glasses and food plates. We waited... Servers were coming and filling up sodas and ice teas, but no bar service. After 10 minutes or so and also after noticing the (most likely) margarita mix/blender bottom sitting in the bar near a tap of trashy domestic beers, we bolted. Nobody acknowledged us the entire time we were there.
Server was very nice, no complaints with her whatsoever but the food was not great. The nachos were tasty but more like flat tacos, not what we expected. The main course was sloppy looking which I don t mind as long as it tastes good but I would say the food is average. I wouldn t say don t ever eat here but even knowing it s not a fine dining restaurants don t expect wonders.
The drinks were strong :) one positive!!
The man who sited us, said I don't drink when asking about quality of biers he was selling to us.
Generally bad quality, comparing to Fridays in Oslo I.e.
You can't beat the happy hour at this place. The happy hour apps are priced right and delicious.
Food was great. overpriced but this is times square anyway. the service was super slow. staff attitude was awkward, they were rude to each others ! the place is outdated and needs serious reno.
Very good ..... excellent .... great music .... caring .... food !!!
Close by to my job so it's easy to grab lunch. However, this location is not participating regarding any coupons or deals by mail.
We had a nice meal here. There is an allergen card available, but it does not state that they have gluten-free sandwiches for the burgers.
The menu indicates which burgers can be made gluten-free. This includes gluten-free bread.
The toilets can only be reached via a staircase.
Service was average at best small tables not a live atmosphere like in the uk food tho was fantastic had a burger amd fries. Overall place could do with a revamp as its old and dated
First, let me say this. This review is a legitimate review of an experience I had dining at this restaurant, and to get a good idea of what it's like, I suggest reading this.
When we first arrived, we were seated at a table in a very loud section of the restaurant. It was nearly impossible to converse, so after 10 minutes of waiting I very politely requested a table change, which they granted. We moved to a much quieter section, which turned out to be because there was no server waiting on the tables where we were. 15 minutes later, after a complaint, they moved us upstairs.
They got us our drinks, took our orders, and a couple minutes later sent us out plates with our silverware, just to taunt us with the lack of food. Because I enjoy a bit of messing about, I cut my napkins if half with my steak knife. Or, I should say, attempted to. The knives felt like they were made of a cheap plastic, I doubt they could cut through a pickle.
I should point out some non-food related things about the restaurant. First, the tables are deceptively sticky. I say this because you'd think a professional restaurant would clean their tables, but they decieve us and boy are those things sucking your hands down. We were also seated right next to a bin of dishes from other meals, and servers were constantly throwing plates down into the bins. I swear half the plates in that restaurant are broken now, it was absurd. The menu also didn't list the prices of some things, like the beers, probably because you could buy a six-pack for how much they cost.
Now onto the good stuff, the food. I ordered the Philly Cheesteak Burger, and when I did so, I made sure to say medium rare. I even explained this meant some pink, just in case they didn't get this. However, when the burger came out, it was anything but medium rare. I'm pretty sure when they cooked it they accidentally (or intentionally, who can say) used the burgers as fuel and cooked up some chacoal briquettes. The bun was sopping wet and looked like everyone in the kitchen had had a go at it with a mallet. The cheese most likely came from a can, and my grandfather's ribs were lukewarm at best. And all of this deliciousness came after a total of 48 minutes of waiting. Superb!
A few final things. I was finishing up my fries when a server came by and took my plate right out from under me when I reached to take a drink of my water. Our check came, and instead of being charged $3.99 for a salad, we were charged $8.39. Two of the other tables near us had incorrect checks as well. But, I will end this review on a good note. The urinals are at a perfect height to get some nice splash into your mouth if you're thirsty. I can't imagine our anyone under 12 could use this unless they are an excellent marksman, but I digress. Seriously consider other restaurants before choosing this one.
I got bad service, had to wait very long while there were not so many customers. We constantly had to wave to get some attention. Also the food was much to salty we did not eat half of it as we got sick of it.
MY EXPERIENCE WAS HORRIBLE!!!!! I NEVER GOT SILVERWARE OR A STRAW FOR THE FLAT SODA A MESS..... I CAME ALL THE WAY FROM PHILADELPHIA TO GET TREATED SO DISRESPECTFULLY!!!!! THE ONLY ONE TO HELP WAS THE FLOOR MANAGER VERY NICE LADY
Service was good, but slow. The place was pretty dirty, especially the men's room.
Nice food and perfect location just a few steps from Times Square! It's not so cheap but tasteful and kind stuff!
Worse Fridays i ve been to the chicken breast was boiled not grilled and the salmon was over cooked bad experience
Slow service in an empty restaurant, but great employee attitudes
I had the spear ribs in BBQ stile and it was simply amazing the meat went of the bone really easily and was just perfect. The server was also pretty nice and the price is fine for that quality of food.
Very limited menu, more expensive than other TGIFs, and no STRIPES chips or points. Server was very forgetful.
The food I had was good: I really liked my lunch special chicken burger, the fries were fine, they use Heinz ketchup, and the side mac-n-cheese was above average. The prices were what I expected for the neighborhood and ambience, although the non-lunch special prices are a little ridiculous. The reason this place gets two stars instead of three is the service speed, unfortunately, which was slow even though the restaurant was only about 1/3 full when I sat down.
Medicore food at a snail's pace! Enjoy your meal! (Staff were friendly though. And we're accommodative of my grandmother's hearing and sat us at the back no questions asked.)
Crowded and hot. But hey, it was NY. One should not be expected to be treated civil.
Too long to get serverd. Cleaning while you are dining..
The quality of food and service is remarkable! Love visiting TGIs always!
Considering we were one of the first into the restaurant upstairs had to wait a long time for service and quality if service was slightly low
Disgusting food. Don't come here. Waiter dead couldn't speak English. Like come on sis. Tf
The highest caliber high end restaurant in New York City.
Sat at the bar on a Friday night. Was served by Stella. She was absolutely excellent. Drinks were perfect, service was fast. She was extremely attentive. We ordered some whiskey wings that were awesome. TGIF is not the most poppin spot in Time Square but great service from Stella and others made it an amazing night.
