Unmotivated and almost rude staff, only the Mojito was a positive experience.
The place was messy, straws and napkins on the floor. They had messy tables and we didn't know who the waiter/ waitresses was because they didn't come to greet us. We had questions and we couldn't ask them until it was time to order. The waiter was pleasant and the food came out really quick but it wasn't very hot. The waiter never came back to refill our drinks or too check on us. It wasn't that great and I was surprised because we're on 42nd street where the burgers were $19. They can do better!
This particular one sucks they don't honor any of your coupons or anything overly priced for nothing service stunk
Ordered dinner and waited..... Great environment.... Then my phone rings and my friend just flew in from London to see me...... I practically flew out of the restaurant and ran down time Square into 44th Street.... Oh what a night
This was without a doubt one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had, it pains me to give this restaurant even one star. The service was awful our waitress didn t smile once and acted very snobby and put out from the moment we got there and had about as much personality as a rock. The prices were ridiculous $20 for a burger, $13 for a house salad. My husband ordered a steak dinner and a salad to start, after about 30 minutes of waiting he asked our server if she was going to bring the salad out to which she replied it comes with the meal. She then brought out the salad and sat at a table in the middle of the restaurant and texted on her phone for about 15 minutes before she finally got up and brought it our order which had all died in the window. The food was hardly warm and some of it cold and the mid-rare steak that was ordered was well done. We left without eating and will not be back to this, or any other of TGI Friday s locations. You can walk a few blocks in any direction and find quality restaurants with much much better food and service for a fraction of the cost, I recommend Park Avenue Tavern bear Grand Central Station.
Great food and outstanding selection as always. Clean restaurant with very professional staff. Handicapped accessibility, clean bathrooms for men and women. Quick service and everyone serving with a smile. Drive through is accessible with ample parking. Great location. 5 stars as always!!!!!!!!
No space in the restaurant. Service is horrible from the door! Bad attitudes, lazy, unable to follow instructions! I ask for a well done burger they give me medium rare. It s my birthday and they don t sing, they give me ice cream that tastes freezer burned. Only thing good was that the place wasn t crowded but now I see why.
The food was warm (I prefer hot) but it wasn't terrible.
Very sloppy dirty I did not like it looks like a seedy bar
It was a pretty good restaurant in NY! Especially the nachos with the spinach dip
Sizzling platter !!! And drinks were ok !!!
Food is good but next time I'm gonna get potato wedges loaded !!! Lol
I paid 20 dollars for a hamburger that I can find at McDonalds for 5 dollars, they don t even put a full slice of cheese.
The service was awesome and are waitress Amanda was amazing and so nice and understanding! I highly recommend that you come and eat here and ask for Amanda as your waitress!!
You can walk right in for Lunch. No wait. Food and service on point.
Hamburgers of the most normal. Slow service. We only ordered two burgers and they were both wrong in the accompaniment.
The potatoes had no name for how bad they were.
And to top it off, it's not even cheap.
The worst TGI i had ever goone ! I got FOOD Poisoning from the uncooked (Mahe Mahe) which is typically a fish platter with the side broccoli and mash potato!
If anyone wants to clean your tummy TGI in time square is the best place
Fabulous! This was my first in New York. TGIFRIDAYS had wonderful service. The atmosphere was awesome and also the servers. Strawberry-Rita was delish.
Horrible food! The food is so bad that you think they make it intentionally!
Endless aps are a good value. Our server was very pleasant and helpful.
Actually the food was adequate and so was the drinks, the service was a bit slow.
I was hungry and it was an okay meal.
Slow service - 10+ minutes to get our drinks and over 25 minutes to get our food despite it not being particularly busy. The fries were cold (which they promptly brought additional fries). The spinach and cheese dip was meh. Overall just an OK experience.
The service here was extremely horrible. Starting off, the hostess who's name I did not get (but this was between 2-3pm) was very rude. We asked what the wait time was and her response was "For what?" and then rolled her eyes. We asked for a booth seat, and she completely ignored our request and sat us in the middle of the most crowded area. The waiter named Marcelo didn't know the menu at all. Everything we asked for he had to look over our shoulder to see what we were talking about. He got the drinks mixed up as well. The main course arrived before the appetizers; when we asked the waiter his response was "Oh, you still want them?". We never cancelled them, they just never arrived. One of us order bacon wrapped shrimp, it was not put in the order by the waiter. His response was "Oops" and then brought over fried, breaded shrimp. We ate our main courses and never got the appetizers. We asked for a manager and complained but nothing was done about this; like this was normal for him to hear. We left and gave a small tip because despite the horrible service we're still decent human beings. I wouldn't recommend this place at all!
I do enjoy eating in T.G.I. Friday s but I had a horrible experience in this restaurant. There was no host at the moment . And the server wasn t as attentive as others places. Then I threw out the receipt and I called them to find out if they could give me a rewards code for my points but the person who picked up the phone hanged up the phone at me . Never will I ever go to this location again.
Way too expensive for the quality they serve, but the waiter did his job right so 2 stars
This place was alrigth. It's not as good as I used to remember. They used to have my favorite jack Daniels burger but ever since they took it away I lost my confidence in this restaurant but it's ok I will try to explore different options.
Very bad attention from the waiter who only accepts last model tickets
Booth seats are broken, took over 20 minutes for the server to come up to the table and another 20 minutes just to get water. Definitely would not recommend. Nachos were very cold originally, but the manager was very respectful and hot us a new one withing minutes. Because of her the rating was changed from 1 star to 3.
The food and the cocktails was really bad! And the prices were high! The People working there were Nice.
Food was super expensive compared to other places not near time square. Very dirty.
This is nice ..but OMG THE FOOD IS NOT THAT ....I HAD A SAGGY CHICKEN SANDWICH AND MY ONION RINGS WEREN'T EVEN FULLY COOKED ...DAM ....NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN...SORRY .....IM VERY DISAPPOINTED ..BECAUSE ITS 20 BUCKS FOR A F ****** MEAL ......SMHHHH
They spelled the drinks all over us while serving, did not apologize for it AND asked for more tip!!
I m traveling with Comfort Tours Canada on a 4-day 3-nights (Hyatt Regency Newbrunswick NJ) trip from Toronto, ON to New York City, NY. Our Tour Director is Natasha and Driver is Miriam on a Kunkel coach bus.
It s really humid (...and the temp is 90 degrees Fahrenheit) walking around NYC Midtown so hydration is the key, hence it is off to T.G.I. Friday s!
Two 20oz Budweiser draft for $7.50 during happy hour to start plus an order of Loaded Chicken Nachos $15.99.
Bartender Tian provided good service but the food was average. The positive thing was that we were well hydrated before the ride back to our hotel!
Really loud restaurant. Not conducive for conversation...but food was tasty!
Good food but way overpriced. 1 starter, 2 mains and 2 soft drinks will set you back around 90$ with tip. It's the location - right off Times square is prime location of course. Food was good though, which is a plus in this area of Manhattan.
The worst food I have ever eaten. I have been to TGI Fridays in a few countries, but this is the worst of all. All the food was totally over cooked and dry. Even the replacement food was so. We paid and left a tip, so that no one would complain. Sorry but it was the pits. I will leave a more in-depth review on Tripadvisor.
Service poor waiteir forgot to put our order in waited over an hour with no apology when we kept asking then expected huge tip and got very nasty when we refused
We have just eaten there ... we have chosen 2 dishes at 30 dollars for which the waiter tells us that it is beef .. we find ourselves in front of a beautiful pork rib! We didn t make a fuss and that is our mistake .. at the end of the meal the server is unhappy with the amount of our tip! We explain to him that he sold us pork for beef and there he raises his voice by telling us that no ... what bad faith !!! As if we couldn't tell the difference !!!!!
In short 60 dollars for 2 pork chops with 2 broccoli ...
Not to mention in passing that he asked us for an identity document to drink a beer when we are 40 years old .. flattering ?!
We have eaten in tgi friday other states and I can guarantee you that those in New York are to be banned ... a shame !!!! How awful!!!
Possibly one of the worst places to eat ever. Don't waste your money over priced semi cold food wouldn't recommend.
Staff seemed angry with me for some reason not sure why food is good though.
Service was a bit slow to start when we sat down, but otherwise, great food
Slow service, limited menu, decrepit seating area... not a pleasant experience...
Inexpensive, and cooked for a C grade. Burger cutlets are fried in oil. The first time they brought a burger with a burnt cutlet, they brought a new one without talking. The medium steak did not work either, they overexposed. Well, you can eat if you're hungry
The staff are all over the place. Food was very greasy. Drinks which was with alcohol, were awful. Never would I return to this TGIF in NY.
Good happy hour drinks but our appetizer (Philly steak & cheese eggrolls...by the way, this is a newly featurer appetizer) was frozen!! FROZEN!!!!! The bar waitress took them off our tab but the experience wasn t great. Menus were dirty by the way.
Terrible restraunt I've ever been, the service was poor and we have waited for an hour for our meal. They make stupid excuses for serving our meal late. Never gonna come back
If zero was an option, i'd choose it. Food was cold and overcooked. Everything was too much effort with rolled eyes and attitude for simple things like asking for a side plate, a drink, the check. Could have saved $60 and gotten a hot dog from a street vendor and been better fed with better service.
Understaffed and over rated at one star, avoid this dump at all costs.
Good place to meet near times square, especially at happy hour.
Great food and service for fancy down town visitors and locals.
Service was not so good. And the food was not the best. The inventory could be renewed
Europeans tend to like the things that we hate in America so I only went here because of a euro friend insisting we go. Poor service even poorer food. TGIF in Time Square = NO
Our waiter was the rudest person we came across in New York. The girl who seated us couldn't even smile or be polite. At the end of the night we decided not to leave a tip because the service was so poor. Checking my credit card days later I found they had taken a tip anyway. They obviously don't mind comitting fraud!!!
Hate to leave a negative review but i feel like i have to warn people. If this is the last place open in the city go for it and who knows maybe you'll get lucky. The service was extremely slow we had to wave our hands to remind our waitress we still were waiting for her. The food was below average - i just ordered a salad and a cup of soup assuming it was a safe way to go but i was wrong - after i got a dirty spoon next to my soup i kinda lost my appetite. The salad was not fresh... my friend paid $19 for a burger of mediocre quality. And then we got our check...
Super friendly bartenders and great meals. Especially a good choice during happy hour
Slow service and average food. They out of many drink and food choices. A real disappointment.
Good atmosphere and consistently good food and drinks. Nothing special about the atmosphere.
Good, missed Thursday night football... The sample arrived in seconds!
Bad service I know it's new york city but you will wait for a long time. We ordered beers and it took a while and my husband didn't get his. We told the waiter and he went and got it but still took time to get it.
The Ribs remind me of those of Buenos Aires. Beautiful place with excellent attention. Highly recommended.
Have try to two TGIs in New York. Both sucked, absolutely the most horrible service.
Honestly probably the worst service I have ever experienced. I went in with my dad for his birthday and it s super slow service, the servers take 20 minutes to great you, and the drinks come out wrong after waiting more then 10 minutes for them!!! The hostess was super nasty telling me to sit by a table by the window if I want a booth. Will definitely NEVER EVER COME BACK HERE !! HORRIBLE. SAVE YOURSELF
Superb attention, spectacular food ... I ordered the cajun pasta and it's just great! Super recommended.
Great place to have a snack or lunch with friends and family.
