Fantastic hotel, very spread out though. Pool and beach is fantastic.
Fantastic hotel, very spread out though. Pool and beach is fantastic.
Kind of Trashy; Sorry. Definitely not for families. This is a club scene 24/7.
This is a five-star hotel that is just too much superficial trash. Too much glitz, loud music and bright lights. If that s your thing, this is your hotel.
The resort consists of several pools, cabanas, bars and poolside chairs. The clientele is sketchy to say the least. Very loud house music blasts all day. Waitresses walk around in thongs under short skirts serving drinks and food.
You have to get up very early to get chairs by the pool. Sketchy people stream in during the day who are not guests. The guys who set up your chair don t care that there are fewer chairs than guests. Mine invited me to take up a row of six for our four guests. When I declined and said the two extras should be for two other people, he said, you take care if you.
The bars are crowded and people seem to buy drinks on the hotel tabs of other guests.
Overall, just a trashy scene and not recommended if you are a grown up.
Beautiful place but service is really lacking. Need some structure and purpose in their work force. No one really seems to care if you wait until they are ready.
Super hotel to stay, had a ocean view suite in the Sorrento tower with an amazing view. Service is superb all round. Fontainebleau is the most famous hotel in Miami. Elvis, Frank Sinatra and countless other swinging celebrities stayed and performed here during its first heyday. The hotel is a spectacular blend of Miami s glamorous golden era and stylish modern luxury. For a place that's got excellent food and service with LIV being right there... you can't really ask for more. Make sure to check their calendar for events. We stayed here during the iHeartRadio Summer Pool Party and had a fantastic experience!
My party and I spoiled ourselves to this amazing hotel. Top-notch service. The view from my hotel room was breathtaking, room service was excellent. The place was so clean you could eat off the floor.
They are very protective of their guests and their belongings. That s something you need from a hotel. That s also something we should expect. You get that here.
We had stayed there about 20 yrs ago and loved it, we stayed there recently and the place is awful, I am disabled now and going out the doors are so heavy and the worker's are to busy bullshitting.they don't pay any attention, and to get to the pool you have to walk what feels like a mile to get there. If you have problems walking as I do I wouldn't recommend it.
The worst hotel I have ever stayed in! If you have any class or care about value for money then stay away!
When we arrived there were several bus boys chatting who didn't offer to take our bags, and even after we checked in clearly we did not qualify for a porter even though lots of other people had them. The restaurants and the lapis spa are all average but massively overpriced, except hakkasan which maintained the same high standard as all it's other branches. At breakfast they had this huge group of gangsters swearing and shouting across the place- literally never seen that behaviour before in somewhere that claims to be high end. They really do the bare minimum at this place and charge you for anything extra. A disgusting way to do business- just charge more for the room and include all the basics you would expect in a 5* instead of treating everyone like garbage. Gross gross gross
Absolutely fantastic. It lives up to the legend and even better. Can't wait to come back.
No option for zero stars. 2+ hour wait to check in. Zero information. Not a single person at the counter and about 200 people on line to check in at 6pm on a Friday.
Great hotel in closer proximity to loads of iconic Miami views and locations. Amazing amenities, multiple pools and beach access. Staff is great and plenty of options for food.
I have not stayed here recently because I decided to try something new. I stayed at the Grand Beach Hotel close by and it was a HUGE mistake. I left several messages for the manager at the Grand Beach Hotel and he will not call me back. The reason I am writing this review here is because I have stayed at the Fontainebleau several times and it was always outstanding customer service, outstanding food and just overall a pleasurable experience.
If you are trying to make a decision on where to stay, do yourself a favor and do not stay at the Grand Beach Hotel. Fontainebleau is far more superior.
Very luxurious! You can't get any closer to the beach.
I am really surprised the hotel has such great reviews based on the experience we just had. The hotel itself is beautiful and the women who are attendants at the beach and pools are wonderful. That said, I was really disappointed in the service at the hotel elsewhere- it was inexcusable. We checked in on 3/21 and I had rented a two bedroom suite for my bachelorette. Check-in is at 4 and the rooms weren't ready. No real explanation as to why- they just were not clean. We had to wait until 445 to check in. The man who I spoke to about this offered to give us a free cleaning but that does not make up for the fact that I had all of my friends who flew to Miami for my bachelorette just standing there with nowhere to go. Additionally, my fiancee sent us two bottles of champagne to the room and they were supposed to be delivered by 10 am at the latest, didn't arrive until 1215. No apology or explanation. This is a beautiful hotel but I would never stay here again. I have also emailed the Accounting Dept. three times because nobody answers the phone, to obtain a copy of my bill. Still no response.
View: beautiful
Location: excellent!
WiFi: VERY slow.
Ac: really old, and makes noise.
Toilet: okay however the flush is SO noisy
Amenities: good beach and pool, but you need to pay for the beach beddings
Breakfast: not included(for the price we pay I feel breakfast SHOULD be I included)!
Parking: if you have a car you need to pay 40 I think or more per day!!
Restaurants: there are a couple of options, I tried the Japanese one it was good but it needs more sushi options
Gym: amazing view and equipment however it needs to be sanitized more that s disgusting.
Also, the rooms needs to be more modern and changed maybe, it feels old.
I would not even give a single star to how bad the service is in this hotel. WORST VALET SERVICE, ALWAYS HORRIBLE ATTITUDE.
I booked my trip through Expedia as I found a Good deal I even payed extra money for an Ocean view room. when I arrived at the front desk after 4pm check in time the receptionist told me she was trying to get me something good. After waiting some time she gave me whatever room was left. She proceeded to let me know it was $150 hotel fee per night and additional $45 a night if you have a car... which I thought it was ridiculous but I was already there. When I arrived to my room it was more of a concrete and pool view than an ocean view. I was so disappointed. The bed headboard looked like if it was peeling, no balcony, no bathrobes, scratched windows and the snack bar was dusty. The hotel sent me a survey which I expressed my dissatisfaction and moved me to a different floor from the 5th to the 9th floor in the chateau side(where I was) next day afternoon. We saw a bit of a difference in the view and they also lowered my hotel fee from $150 a night to $40 a night. What a big difference! So instead of using their outrageously expensive valet parking we parked our car in the public parking near by which they only charged $10 a night. Aside from that the pool area, Lobby and gym were really good. But unfortunately my experience was not exactly what I expected.
This Resort is right in front of the beach. They have a beautiful view with awesome pools.
The most awful attention ever, every single thing there went wrong I cant believe it is qualified as five stars! It is the worst, waiting hours for the room to be ready, they never sent our itinerary, we were in one of the most expensive suites and there is not even an special attention for the extra money you are spending, no communication in between restaurants, beach and hotel, we had to make cancelation under the rain because they wanted to charge a fee even though there were an storm so we cant make it to the beach..... .. simple Horrible!!!
Very fun bachelor party week be. Hotel is very fun and has a lot going on. Unfortunately we received noise complaints throughout our stay, always before 10PM, which seems early to enforce a quiet period.
Very beautiful place. Huge hotel with excelent service
The hotel was very clean and comfortable the staff was attentive and professional, and the food was outstanding. The only drawback are the prices, however, that's to be expected from Miami Beach
A bit of a let down. This place came highly recommended from a friend now I have to question their judgement or lack there of. We upgraded our room to the penthouse level ocean front upon checking in. Probably a waste of money looking back. They told us it had a separate living area but it s basically a couch on the side of 2 queen beds. The bathroom shower has the worst design ever as it literally drains water into the bathroom. We had to use several towels each time we showered to clean up the water leakage. The hotel came to fix it but it didn t work much better, it s just the way it is. Faucets leak, missing parts on the shower head with exposed screws to jimmy it back together. The balcony doors are super hard to open as well. Beds squeak and are super firm. The comforter was obviously not cleaned as it spelled like dog! The cleaners broke my wife s foundation bottle although they did offer a room credit for this it s such an inconvenience. We had a hair in our Sushi at the Blaze restaurant and all the server said was that s weird it s all guys who roll the sushi . No offer to comp anything no sorry no nothing! The bright and shining star was Shaniqua at the front desk she was amazing. She was probably the only resort employee to smile all week. Most just walk pass you and say nothing, compared to a Mexico resort which is what we normally do this was just a super disappointment. Note that 80% of the lawn chairs are pointed at no Pool, actually literally they are facing nothing. The kids
Pool has a super loud compressor making it hard to converse there. And the slide requires the kids to be 4ft so our girls were not tall enough. The slide is less than a quarter the size of many slides at other resorts or water parks that only require 36 . The beach is FULL OF SEAWEED. And they charge $25 for 1 umbrella rental. Too many things to fix, I d recommend staying somewhere else this place is not all it once was, obviously.
Love this Regal Hotel!! Just exudes elegance! Highly recommend the stay, the restaurants and the many other ammenties they offer. The Bleau Bar is one of my personal favorites
Nice hotel, wonderful pool. Would stay there again for sure
Very pretty resort with amazing views. Strip Steak had fabulous food.
Great hotel. I did not have a chance maker, or a fridge, but the room was very nice and bed was very comfortable. Great view.
The spa is the best, great experience, great customer service. I had enjoyed my master massage. I recommend the stone massage and the eucalyptus steam room!
Great hotel, spacious, amazing spa with great service, large pools with plenty of seating
Excellent service, great place and amazing staff assistance
We stayed here in March when our cruise plans for spring break were canceled. The views from our rooms were stunning. A large pool area and easy beach access. Excellent on property dinning. It was probably not as family friendly as we would have hoped for. My wife and I had previously stayed here 20 years ago. The property has changed a lot in the intervening years. There was much more of a party atmosphere and not nearly as tranquil/peaceful.
OceanView rooms at Penthouse have an amazing view. rooms don't have tea or cofee machines, and TV are dated. services could be better, been there 24-28Feb 2020.
Hotel is nice, pool area is cool! It's like a mini Vegas resort without the Casino. Rooms and Lobby Bar need to be updated.
I love this place! I've stayed here before as a guest and it brought back wonderful memories.
We stayed here from tues to sun during hurricane Irma and the service was as expected impeccable
Nice place. Nice location. Room temperature inconsistent.
One of my favorite hotel and spas to stay when in South Beach. Every possible accommodation you could want or need. The pool gets very busy and lounge chairs become a problem getting
Terrible please. Too big. too loud. Too croude. Too sleezi.
I have to complain hier because i can not finde E-Mail to contact the Hotel.
Me and my partner were staying at the Hotel one night from 6th April to 7th April. In the short time happened something i would never expected from service of 5 Star and expensive Hotel ( we paid 600 $ for one night).
The Frontdesk agent, HER NAME IS PILAR, she seemed to be nice, we arrived to the hotel and she was the one who makes the check-in for us.
My Partner comes from Egypt and she also so i told to them they can speaks for moment Arabic, i understand a little. And they spoken, she gave us a nice room an i thought she is ok. But nothing more wrong !
next day we made check out and the fortuity wanted she will do this for us. So she did not talk to me at all, just talkt to my Partner and just arabic, it would be ok, but the moment we wanted to live, she tells him, she wants to give him her E-Mail in case he needs something, he thought maybe she wants to give him a official E-Mail because he told at the first day we will for sure come back to the hotel, but
SHE GAVE MY PARTNER HER PRIVATE PHONE NUMBER !!!!
she wasn't ashamed and she did it in my presence, she quickly squeezed her card into his hand.
what a disrespect for me as a woman and a hotel client.
i was shocked ! ! This is degrading me as a woman and as customer !
I am sure this woman is looking for man with money and she is definitely using her job for tried to finde someone.
her behavior is ridiculous and disgusting.
I didn't complain to her right away because I didn't want to make a scene.
but it's been two days and I'm still upset about it.
so I decided they had to take steps to get this girl to be instructed that the workplace is not a disco where she can flirt with men.
After the situation my partner quickly gave me a card and told me to throw it away, but I didn't. later he didn't even want to go to the reception when we needed the key to the refresh room. even he felt scandalous about the situation.
The hotel is great and really worth recommending, you will find there music and young people and great restaurants. But unfortunately, this situation has destroyed all the good memories of this place.
I don't think our case is the first or the last when this girl shows disrespect to a woman by flirting with her man.
I expect the HR manager to teach her how to behave in the workplace.
Our hotel stay was very enjoyable. The resort is very large, we actually got lost getting to the front desk as we got dropped off at the wrong place. We were immediately upgraded from our basic room to a junior suite with a balcony which was a very unexpected surprise. The staff was generally nice, our service during our dinner at Scarpetta was definitely the best. While the decor and accommodations are definitely luxurious, you could tell that it was nearing the need for a renovation from the small signs of wear. Overall, if we were to return to Miami Beach we would consider staying here if we got a good deal, but I wouldn't say we were blown away to the extent that we wouldn't look elsewhere as well. I would probably give it 4.5/5 just as I definitely feel there is room for improvement.
While there are better hotels in Miami, Fontainebleau seems to remain the standard according to which all the other higher end ones are judged. And I can totally see how/why this place gained its reputation starting many decades ago, but these days it comes off as a bit dated, even after some renovations. The rooms are clean and tidy of course, but really nothing special- much like something you could get in Vegas for $60 a night. The pool area is probably the best part of staying here- and of course the beach access. I forget the name of the well regarded steakhouse at the hotel, but I wasn't blown away by it, especially for the money. Otherwise, it is a vast place, so be prepared to do lots and lots of walking within the hotel alone. Plus, the location is somewhat secluded and will likely require you to take a cab to wherever you want to get- but also, walking wouldn't be the end of the world. I think on my next trip I'd rather stay at the W or elsewhere.
This hotel is highly overrated. Due to the price that I was paying I was expected to receive the best service and experience. Wrong , it has been the worse hotel I ve ever been to. When I arrived I was not helped with my suitcase , I had to find a Bell boy myself. Arriving at front desk the girl was nice, but not at all helpful. I had to ask multiple questions and she barely informed me on the hotel and what they do and don t include. You must pay 48 dollars daily for parking ( I found this quite absurd because it s either cheaper in other hotels or they don t even have one). Pool and beach always packed, and the worse service I have ever received. I had to wait 45 mins to get my car to only find out that it was parked upfront and they had never even looked for it when I asked. I don t recommend this hotel to anyone, and if I am writing this review it s because I am extremely dissatisfied. Also my hotel bed board was scratched and had cut up pieces (I didn t really care and not a huge deal, but if I m paying such an expensive price I expect more). I am even changing my hotel reservation and going elsewhere , this hotel is not worth it.
The hotel is beautiful. Rooms are really nice. Service is great. The only issue I have is that my room overlooks the ocean and pool area. Doesn't sound like a problem, but if you're trying to get work done and terrible rap music is being blasted and that's all you can hear for hours and hours on end, you'd get fed up with it really fast.
I visited the foutnainbleau hotel Liv club for New year's Eve I purchased a bottle service and hadn't the New year's party there
Large hotel in Miami South Beach. Cool hotel, definetly has a Vegas feel to it, due to its size and style. LIV night club is also there, worth paying a visit if you like to go out a nd enjoy yourself.
I would check my bank account. You ve been warned!
Best pool ever.. great drinks... and amazing people.
If you want to spoil yourself this is the best hotel to do so!!!!
Miami Favorite, can't go wrong, its moderately pricey.
This is my spot! Always enjoyable when I stay. Unfortunately due to the current pandemic, it wasn't as busy as it usually is this time of year. Some of the restaurants and bars were closed.
This weekend had interesting groups of guests. Didn't really like this because you can tell these guests had been smoking....not cigarettes. This does not reflect the culture and class of the hotel. It was very unfortunate. But nonetheless I will be back next year as usual.
The location is nice and the pool facilities are great. Rooms are decent size but simple things like the iron and ironing board are disfunctional.
Service at the pool, bar and restaurants was good. Rooms were nice, but my key card stopped working multiple times. It is very expensive and some things you may not know there is a charge for, such as beach umbrellas. But if you are looking to stay here you already know it is expensive. Regardless, I had a great time.
The comfortability and view you ain't gotta find in other hotel's!!.
Love it! Luxury and location is the best. Perfect spot for the Yacht Show!
Stayed at hotel for a professional event, couldn't enjoy the beach and pool but the service was excellent
Me and my girlfriends had the best spa day here! The staff was so friendly, they were always there to help with any needs and provide us with reminders on when our next treatment was starting! The pool and lounge area were well maintained and the snack room was perfect. We were able to go to the hotel pool and bar as well to kill some time. Overall great experience!
Great location for our Redken training event. Beautiful pool area and great food
Came down for the Super Bowl...now I don't want to leave! Love love love this place!
Lapis spa is amazing we got the spa month deal 130 tip included and you get to use all the amenities. Pool outside as well. Great experience!
Famous for a reason! One of the nicest hotels I ve stayed at and definitely one of the largest. There are numerous towers, separate pool areas for each tower, plenty of restaurants, event space, one large gym, lots of outdoor space, easy access to the beach and boardwalk and other amenities can be found here. One downfall is it s bar. There s only one! Surprised since this is a large venue. Being so large, it can be overwhelming and can take some time to go from point A to B, but you eventually get used to it. There s even a separate arrivals and departures door! There s so much going on, there s nothing not to love. The famous LIV nightclub is also here so on weekends, the hotel can get very busy, noisy and filled with the young, club vibe. It should not disrupt sleeping arrangements tho. Be warned, it s very pricey here. A bottle of water is almost $10! If you can afford it, definitely come here. It has everything Miami can offer!
It's one of the best hotels in Miami Beach. The hotel itself its full of stories (from Sinatra's visits to LIV parties), and the pools and rooms are great. It's not a cheap hotel, let's face it, it's Miami and nothing around here it's cheap. The only problem I found was the amount of time the parking staff takes for giving you your car, it's around 15-20 minutes.
Worst experience. Disorganized. If you are looking for a cheap Vegas hotel. This is your place.
We paid almost $ 500 for 1 night and wanted to charge us $100 for a valet. No complimentary self parking available. My birthday celebration and aniversary was a nightmare thanks to them. We decide to cancel the reservation and they did not give us a credit, they took our money, now they said reservation was cancel by us because we change our plans , who will change plans and agree to loose $500. I will do anything possible to let people know about Hotel/Valet dirty business.
Stunning hotel with crazy views, and very lively place a real 5 star hotel, Valet parking crew was also very helpful special thanks to Natalie valet parking manager for helping us out
Prices on everything was a joke and the trap with the water, candy and snacks were outrageous. 10.00 for 2 pkgs 1.25 m&ms were crazy. And 13.00 for 8 oz of stale trail mix that we just through away. 10.00 for a bottle of water REALLY I do NOT recommend this place at all
The workers at the pool were beyond extra-ordinary they made my stay 10x more enjoyable. They were polite, super helpful, and outstanding at their job. In particular Jefferson, and Connor. They were amazing and made mine and my friends say at the fontainbleau that much more enjoyable. :)
I love this place had a suite with a lovely view of the beach great food party every night
It was a beautiful place with nice rooms and housekeeping services as well as the rest of the staff.
Had a Valet steal $1600 pair of shoes out of my car. After calling and telling them what had happened they assured me that it had to be a mix up. The next day the valet manager called me to tell me after reviewing the cameras the shoes were infact stolen out of my vehicle by the valet. The valet manager was able to have my shoes returned by the thief. They informed me since I live 5 hours away they would just mail them to me. I declined and said I would like to pick them up. Which I did the next day to ensure that my shoes were still in good condition before I declined pressing charges against the thief because Im a good person. So upon arrival at the hotel Im asked to wait for a valet manager for them to return my shoes. 45 mins later. No comp. drink or anything, After I even asked. My shoes are returned and thankfully in good condition still. The hotel didnt offer me anything at all or even my hotel for the night of the incident at a discounted rate or anything. Thats crazy considering I paid $1,100 to stay there. I will never return here nor will anyone else who I share my experience with.
This is an iconic hotel dating back to the Rat Pack. Very beautiful hotel in Miami Beach. This a very happening location and VERY expensive! I mean, I expected to spend, but this is way out of my league on a daily basis(2 mixed drinks over $50) and I brought my kids. A definite experience though. I would say it's a very hip hotel for young adults or couples. If you stay on the weekends, expect to be surrounded by very very beautiful people. I brought the family because we got a steal of a deal and we wanted to stay a few days in Florida after our cruise. The biggest negative was that our room did not get cleaned. We would leave our room for the day and literally the cleaning cart would be right outside of our room with the rooms next to ours getting cleaned. Yet, when we would return back to our room in the evening to get ready to go out for dinner, the room would still be the same as we left it! We had to call everyday to have our room cleaned and get new towels! Other than that, still a beautiful hotel. Check it off my list and maybe do it again...but only me and the wifey! Lol. Pics are views from our room, fyi.
The hotel is very nice. More of a resort. Big property. There are a lot of pools and restaurants on property Isn't an ideal business travel hotel. Great for vacation and when not pressed for time.
Rooms are ok. Becoming a little worn. My room on 7th floor, had some scuffs on wall. The view of bay was nice. However, it was right over the roof of the convention center and a/c exhaust fans. The walls are paper thin so any conversation your neighbors are having you can hear.
Some staff friendly and accommodating others not so much.
Valet is $48.00 a night, kinda crazy and they add resort fees upon check in. It is not included in cost of room.
Nice and clean, fun atmosphere, not as luxurious as expected
Nice place very commercial in my book.Lots of young kids xmas time not the best time to go.
Food, drinks, music, and service was amazing, but this hotel gave me bed bugs. It cost so much money and multiple companies to get the bed bugs out of my house. They offered me a free night, but I won't risk it again.
Overpriced. Kids pool is nothing exciting. Good access to the beach and selection of restaurants. Didnt appreciate the fact that they had a snack bar in the room with candies staring at you and a sensor placed so if a child even lifts it up or drops it by accident they will charge you. Not my idea of how I want my child's vacation to be, staring at candies she should not eat. After much hassle and inconvenience they finally moved it out.

We are return customers for years now and still super happy!!
This is a beautiful property, and there's a lot to do. LIV Nightclub is packed on Sunday nights. VIP check in is hidden with no signs so make someone actually walk you there, not shout out directions. Hotel should inform you of good directions when making the VIP reservations.
Nice views and lounging area all around the resort. Easy beach access. Pricey but you pay for the convenience. LIV club is on site but extra cost. I stayed in the jr. suite that had a mac computer in the room and couch area. Be careful of the mini bar, it does cost to use.
Must go!!
The customer service, the pool, the drinks the restaurants....anything and everything is waiting for you right there.
Uber drivers are always waiting for you. Do be careful there is a black suburban that pretends it s an Uber driver who will try to take you for cash to some places. It s happen 2x when I have been there. Wish they would not allow other drivers for safety in that area.
Always ask the front desk check in attendant about a possible upgrade, they always want to put you in an upgrade if they are able too.
Make reservations ahead of time if you are able too as the restaurants are fabulous.
Chez Bon Bon is my favorite chocolate ever, don t leave without trying these exceptional homemade sweets.
Went to Liv nightclub. Place Full of New rich people
I was there to pick up a guest but I was very beautiful and the staff was really great would consider staying or even hosting a get to the her there some time
Right on the beach, good set of pools, lots of friendly staff, good breakfast buffet.
Excellent hotel and accommodations. Food and beverage options were exquisite. Ocean side views are fantastic. Pool and patio areas were beautiful!
I really enjoyed my stay here, the pool area is really relaxing, staff is super friendly and the food and drink is flowing. I stayed in the chateau tower and noticed that the path to the pool is a bit long and convoluted - I would like to try the other towers some time. The spa is really lovely with a rain room! and if you book a service, you can use the lockers all day, go to the pool/beach, come back shower and get ready there with supplied brushes dryers and moisturizers. The gym is also very nice. The referesh lounge is very far from the pool so if you plan on using it make sure you have time! They make it very easy to spend money and I suspect that if I didn't check my bill vigorously I may have ended up with a few extra hundred dollars tacked on. But I checked with them and they resolved all apparent extraneous charges quickly and without hassle. All restaurants close for dinner around 11 or 11:30 do if you need late night bites you may end up with room service or yelping for nearby late food.
Lunch at La Cote - great food, great drinks, great vibes. Lots of fun!
