The most amazing place I've ever been to. The hotel is absolutely amazing. I came here on my honeymoon with my husband and it may end up being our go to place from now. Expensive but so worth it.

My wife and I Travelled from Scotland to visit this iconic hotel we were so looking forward to the visit and to enjoy a romantic Valentine s Day weekend break....what a disappointment this turned out to be we had booked a 5 day stay and in the end we were just happy to leave the place! We wanted to enjoy living in the hotel and sampling the varied restaurants it claimed we could eat in ,however every restaurant was always fully booked that is unless you want to eat at 10.30 pm which is far to late for normal people like us. On Valentine s Day we tried to get breakfast we were told it was a 50 Minute wait as they were so busy so we just went without any .Dinner was simply not available as all of the restaurants were booked so again no dinner for us we just went to bed without any food .when I called to see if there was any restaurants at all in the hotel that could feed us we were told none were available but we could order room service in other words go to your room and sit there out of the way what an awful way to celebrate Valentine's day. iN the morning no breakfast again as the conga line streched the full length of the hall way We had travelled 4,500 miles to come to the Fountajnbleau what a terrible let down it was from start to finish the romantic Valentine s Day trip was a total disaster Staff were unfriendly and had an air of superiority about them Constant booming disco music in the lobby and grounds just grinds into you .I paid a fortune to come here and will never return

Really unimpressed for the price. Had a deluxe room, view is not great, which I can live with, but the worst is bathroom is absolutely tiny. Room is clean but very basic and no frills.
For almost $500/night this is about on par with what I d expect and a courtyard Marriott. Really wish we hadn t splurged for our anniversary and just stayed somewhere less expensive. There was nothing approaching luxury in the room itself that justifies the price.

We had a great stay at the Fountainbleau. Our ocean front junior suite was fantastic and offered splendid views of the beach. The pool was heated but we wish it could have closed later (it closes at sundown).Breakfast was on the pricier side which is expected for a hotel like this. We really enjoyed walking along the boardwalk which lead straight to the beach and everything the hotel had to offer.

We are not picky people, but had a nightmare stay at the Fontainebleau for a business trip. They moved us three times due to horrible conditions in each room; In the first room, there was bile all over the bathroom door/horrendous smells; after after a 30 minute call in which we were told they could not move us unless we paid a (significant) nightly upcharge, we went to reception who moved us at no charge to a second room. The 2nd room had a leaking sink and drilling directly above the room (the front desk later told us that would be going on all week). They moved us into a third & final room (we gave up trying to move again). In the 3rd room the shower was clogged, the shower door seal fell off, there were used condom wrappers (not ours) left under the bed which the maid then left on our nightstand with her sponge. We ordered room service for breakfast and there was mold on the blueberries. They also overcharged us at Hakkasan; we had a receipt for 310, they charged me 618.61.

Honestly they would be better to just close during COVID19, pool staff act like they dont want be here, still want to charge a premium for cabanas and day beds when the place at 30% . You would think they would want the people here now to enjoy and not write bad reviews? Horrible experience, will never come back.

I am currently staying here for the weekend and this by far is the WORST hotel that I have stayed in. Alot of the workers are prejudice and they are not honest with you when booking. We have 2 rooms over 2000 dollars and not one refrigerator or microwave in the room. I will never book here again.

Stayed here three days. The experience was not great from the start. Bell Hop seemed annoyed with me because we got there early and weren't sure we could check in or drop our bags off. Headed for the pool and was stopped by security asking for my room card and telling us we had to have wrist bands and they are to be worn all the time during our stay....but I did notice not everyone was being stopped and not everyone had bands. Made me feel as if we did something wrong, but I think they have a ton of rules that are strictly enforced if they think you don't fit in, or are posh enough. You also need the band to go on the beach. Pool closes at dusk and the beach closes late in the evening. I've never stayed at a place where you could not go to the beach at any time, and never been to a place where the pool closed that early backed up by security. I mean for the money you pay you shouldn't have to not be able to enjoy the amenities of the hotel. Staff everywhere were unfriendly and un-inviting with one exception. Never once during our stay did a waiter or waitress ask if we needed anything...we always had to run them down. I say please and thank you to a fault.... none of the staff use terms like your welcome, or how can I help you. When I did speak with them they barely aknowledged me. All the other reviews about prices are accurate, 25 extra if you want an umbrella on the beach. Pizza is 25, 18 for a cocktail etc. One of the people we came with was standing in front of a bathroom out by the pool area waiting in line and a staff member walking by noticed the other restroom beside him was available and pointed to the sign he obviously missed..... he had not noticed that the restroom was there, or open. Her response when he told her he didn't notice was "are you fu***ng kidding me " Who says that to a guest? Overall I felt like the vibe was terrible, between the rules and general unfriendly staff it should be a much better environment for the money. The check-in desk was nice to us, and the property is beautiful... only good thing I have to say about the experience. I never leave reviews, but this time I feel I must. I'll never be back to stay at this place.

Terrible experience at the valet. Literally, stole my quarters! Also, unplugged my car cable which gave away them rumbling through our stuff. Hotel is beautiful, spa is okay, but your valet employees are grimy people. Won t be coming back and surely will NOT let you valet my car.

We spent the day at the spa before an evening overnight flight. We had a couple's massage. My husband enjoyed his more than I did. We tried a hot stone massage which was nice but I like a deep massage. This was okay but for close to$475 for the 2 of us, I didn't feel like it was worth it. They did include the 20 % tip so at least we didn't have to add a tip on top of that price. It included a limited lunch menu of 3 items. It was tasty but portions were limited. It's a beautiful spa but also busy and popular. Prefer something more intimate rather than mega resort.

Let me start off by saying that I work in hospital...

Let me start off by saying that I work in hospitality and in resorts. Came for a family get away with young kids (8 & 9 yrs old) and we booked two rooms. When we arrived to valet it was chaotic. The checkin process is not any better. Upon arrival I immediately knew that it was going to be a circus. It was was very disappointing that this property as beautiful as it may be the rates they charge is your typical Miami beach resort that caters and attracts the typical Miami riffraff and the resort does nothing to control it. If I wanted to have my family be around a bunch of ghetto, obnoxious drunk people I would have booked a resort that charges much less since the crowd is pretty much the same. We were hanging out at the kids pool with the water slide since the main pool was packed and had women twerking and the pool looked like a can of sardines with the amount of people that were in it. When of the sudden a group of drunk adults came over and took over the water slide. The lifeguards just watched and said nothing about it.
We were told at check in that we couldn't use the refrigerator in our room for storing any of our items cause we would be charged we moved anything since the items are on sensors. Great way to nickle and dime your guests. There is so much more that I can say about our experience but I've said plenty. Needless to say as side from the beautiful grounds this place is disappointing and not worth the money they charge.

This is a beautiful hotel located on Miami Beach and very well kept! It really has everything that you need located on the property. There are several restaurants, bar, beautiful pools, beach, Lapis Spa, and Club Liv. The staff are very friendly and accommodating! The rooms are a bit smaller than what I had expected and I would have preferred to have a coffee maker and a refrigerator in the room which is the only reason that I am not giving it a five star. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely return!

It's definitively a premiere resort and hotel in Miami South Beach. However, for a Billion dollar - yes Billion, there are some downfalls. They are small but still important. The towels are eh, the place charges you for EVERYTHING, extra guest, extra this, extra that, which most other hotels don't. It's the same price for 1 in a room or 4, but not here. The staff is friendly but not go out of their way friendly to accommodate. The pool areas are amazing, the food options are fantastic, the clubs, of course great, and the location is good too. A bit far from South Beach if you want to walk there, but who needs to leave when you have LIV and the beach right at your resort! I'd stay here again but would be more inclined to spend time at the other South Beach hotels closer to the action.

Fun place with lots of amenities, but they nickel and dime you for everything. An umbrella on the beach is $25, an iced coffee is $7.50, and a strawberry daiquiri is $23!

Housekeeping also left a lot to be desired. There was literally the previous guest's toenails all over our floor when we checked in. We called housekeeping and they sent someone to vacuum but we found more toenails the next day! Ughhhh. The front desk compensated us by removing our room fees, but still- for a 5-star hotel no one should have to deal with that. Disgusting!

Last thing- there were lots of smokers at the hotel, including people who smoked at the kiddie pool! Pretty gross and the hotel staff didn't say anything to them.

Overall though, it's a very kid-friendly hotel and they provide a baby bathtub and shampoo for your little one (in addition to a crib), which is very nice. The hotel is in a great location, and despite the smoking, poor housekeeping, and overpriced ridiculousness it's still worth checking out.

I was here with a large group of 1100 people. We had a superb time. All of the employees were very nice, helpful and respectful. The food was beyond amazing. There were no hicccups in our stay. The room was spacious and the bathroom was opulant. The only concern I had was there is no exhaust in the bathroom; but that is no huge deal.

It's a nice hotel. Beds are very comfortable. It's a big resort. Too packed sometimes. Very little place by the beach and pool. The crowd became more commercial through the years. It used to be more exclusive. It lost a bit of it's luster. However the service was curtious. The amenities are nice, modern, cool and the hotel is happening. Everything is pricy. Generally satisfied. I would go back, but I also might look at other options.

Totally Iconic! That was the take away during my 4 day stay. I had a ocean facing suite in the Versailles part of the FB complex. Key things I loved about the hotel was the great restaurant concepts which were upscale and amazing! The decor and design by Morris Lapidus is carefully choreographed to capture the designers original vision - from the bow tie shaped floor tiles, to the homage of photos to Frank Sinatra, Dino, Sammy, and The King! Oh my, the pool complex is absolutely amazing and perfect for looking at the beautiful people - but access to the pool and beach does require a wrist band to be worn. swimming late at night or hot tubs is sadly, not allowed - but that s okay - since the Bar inside is more than enough to make up for that. I had no problems checking in and checking out. I read so many reports about mini bar charges - I used it and was accurate and well priced! Next time I want to stay in the original hotel and meet the GM - I am impressed what Philip Goldfarb and his executive team (Mary Rodgers, and all) have done!!. What s not to love about the FB! Kudos

The Fontainebleau is a beautiful hotel. The rooms are modern and clean. Very pricey for what you get
The pool closes at 7pm. Super early especially when it doesn't get dark until 9, valet takes 15 to 20 minutes to get your car which is a long wait for what they charge, there was a clump of hair by the edge of the pool and the cabana attendant told us straight out it's not his job to clean it and wouldn't even call someone to clean it. We asked someone else and were told maintenance would come after 7pm.
Overall, wouldn't stay here again. Can definitely find better for the money.

Very famous hotel to blend in and hold an edge on all the other famous hotels in the area. Stayed here a few times for conferences and the facilities are very nice as is the decor and the grounds, which is more or less what your paying for. The hotel rooms were not necessarily anything to write home about. Also if you are looking for the landscape you saw in the James Bond film Goldfinger, you are out of luck. That has been renovated years and years ago.

Not really friendly staff. Food is over expensive for breakfast and doesn t taste so good. On the beach you will wait like 30-40 even for water. Doesn t clean number until you call them 3 times. Fridge broken. bath too. I would never came back. Price doesn t worth the quality.

Worst customer service. They do not clean your room, they put you on hold for over 30 min when you have a question, they charge you for everything as soon as you get it even though they say you will not be charged until you check out, and people are rude. For a five star hotel, I would not come here again. There are many other very nice hotels in the area go there.

IT WAS MY BIRTHDAY, I PLANNED AND TRAVELED TO BE THERE AND ENJOY IT; ITS NOT AS IT SEEMS

The 2 stars are for the beautiful view of the ocean, pool, also the service at Steak Restaurant and Ms.Paty at the Beach was very nice.
1st when arrived the concierge that received us never told us where anything was and when asked about the room floor, only replied "youll be fine there", like if she knew us and our taste, never said welcome here, barely looked at us.

2nd as soon as we entered in the suite, you can see the rugs were so dirty,

3rd bathroom smells horrible, dirty and floors sticky; for 5days saw nails on the bathroom floor and in shower all the mildew, cause they dont take the time to clean well, the smell of a dirty mop (if you know about clean/dirty mops you know what im talking about). We called and asked for someone to clean it and still all mentioned was there, and they came to room twice a day for dirty towels and change bed, only credit i can give, but everything else is disgusting.

4th cockroaches: 5days and 4 nights dealing with what you can see in pictures, cockroaches everywhere!!!! We reported it and were called back and offered us $100 for the cockroaches in the room. So i was thinking is it 50cents per cockroach or $100 bottle of wine to get drunk and not see them? Obviously we did not accept the money, i just dont want to see them in a room where we are paying over $1200. a night.

5th stuck in 2 diferrent Elevators, had to call for help: 1 going to our suite on the 16th floor and another going to the Lapis Spa.

6th Lapis Spa: when i called to make a reservation for 2people ( i was at the beach enjoying myself and No credit card on me), i was told although im in the hotel, and gave my room number and name, she couldnt wait for me to arrive to charge me because she needs the info for reservation (so i need to trust you with my personal info but you all cant trust that i am going there for a pedicure that i am calling to ask for?), when arrived at the time i said i was going, the one there obviously didnt see no reservation on my name but i explained what happened and she told me that only 1 of the 2people can get the service because they accepted already another person that did have card info!!!
Never a manager called to say anything in general about hotel room or elevators, we asked for it! What else?, is all i said on each incident cause seriously what a ridiculous experience!!

Saw Cee Lo Green at LIV nightclub. Nicest hotel I've been in, and the club was really cool as well. Drinks were expensive as hell ($20 shots), so stick to beer if you want to drink there ($12). I'd recommend going at least once on the weekend if you're down in Miami Beach - buy tickets from the website though. They're half as cheap as at the door
