We did the tour as part of our visit in Dublin and I can only say: if you're have the slightest bit of interest in whiskey, this is money well spent. We had a very competent and engaging tour guide (Niall) and enjoyed the tour and whiskey tasting very much.

Super place to visit. Very interesting & informative. Great to have a resource like this in Dublin city center. Cafe not bad either! Worth a visit if your in Dublin.
Went on the tour here a few weeks ago, really enjoyed it! Informative and had a very tasty whiskey at the end. Great to hear about the history of the area as well as the brewing process!
Great tour! Unlike other tour, this one is the only one that takes you to an active distillery. The Tour guide was polite, kind and definitely knew his way around, the tour was extremely informative and fun. Watching the process is very interesting. At the end we did the whiskey tasting, I chooses the the four kind whiskey tasting, definitely worth the extra charge.
It was a great visit, would recommend it, even if you don t have. Lot of time in the city.
Great tour of a working distillery in Dublin. Very interesting story about the heyday, decay and now new growth of the Irish Whiskey market. Founded in 2015, all very new but with a taste of history. Between the tour Small Batch ( 15) and Trinity ( 20) I recommend the second. For just a little more, you try 3 versions that are worth it. Guide with great knowledge and very attentive service.
Clearly the best leadership, better than the Jameson leadership. It shows how Teeling makes whiskey. You go through the production halls and everything is explained. At the Dublin Pass tour you will end up with a whiskey and a cocktail. Can highly recommend it. With Jameson you only get a gray theory like they do not make any more.
Great Whisky Tour!! Many people prefer Teelings over other Irish whisky tours so I feel like that says something (if you want a Jamison tour go to Cork) It was a great experience and excellently guided all the way thru the tasting at the end. Truly the basic one is perfectly acceptable but we did do the slightly fancier one and it was nice as well. You can buy drinks in the bar so best to do the simple tour and buy the other whisky you really want to try.
The tour was very enjoyable! We did the Trinity Tasting but all of the options looked great!! Tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of whiskey in Ireland. Well worth spending an afternoon here and having a few cocktails and Irish coffees in the bar afterwards, they were delicious!
Seemed abit rushed. Would of liked to asked simpleton questions but felt the guide was under time constraints. But all in all really enjoyed the experience and good luck to the distillery.
We opted for the Teeling Select Distillery Tour and booked online in advance. When we arrived we had the opportunity to look around the historical exhibits before our tour started.
Our tour guide gave us a brief history of the Irish whiskey industry and bought us up to date with How Teeling got to where it is today. We then proceeded into another room where we watched a video on the brand from its founders.
This was followed by a wander through the distillery with a lesson on the process of turning the raw ingredients into whiskey including looking at the mash tuns and stills.
The next stage of the tour covered the ageing process including the barrel types and the influence this has on the new make spirit (poitin) for at least 3 years and one day before it can be called whiskey.
The final stage of the tour was the tasting. We got to try 4 whiskies. The small batch, the single malt, the single pot still and the single grain. My favourite was the single pot still.
Once the tour was over, we headed to the bar to try the Brabazon 01 and 02. Very interesting whiskies indeed and knowledgeable bartender. There is a large shop with great souvenirs including the exclusive 33 year old Teeling.
The tour is very professional and well put together and based on what you get to try is on a par with similar tours in the city. Our guide was very friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about the brand.
I'd say that this tour is really for those that have some interest in whiskey or like to learn about how things are made.
I never have heard of Teeling Whiskey before. We were at a pub and a guy recommended a visit. I thought it was a decent distillery but i think the prices for the actual product were a tad to high.
The tour guides were not a friendly as other places I have been to around the world, and were irritated with questions that people in our group asked.
On the plus side the whisky does taste really good, and the tasting room was very interesting and unique.
The staff running the tours are very knowledgeable and it's interesting to get to see the whiskey making process in such detail. For the length of the tour and the whiskey tasting it's a good value outing.
Great experience. An actual distillery (avoid Jameson), great whiskey and staff that's cool and shares the passion for whiskey. Go for the Trinity Tasting, it's well worth the extra 6 euros. Also, taste the poitin (moonshine/grappa/aguardiente) on the tour! Loved it so much that had to buy a bottle.
Fabulous place to visit for a lovely tour , and also great friendly and very knowledgeable staff and Teeling Whiskey is in my opinion the very best single malt whiskey and all their other whiskeys in the world , I ve been drinking it now for over 40 years and it keeps me very healthy and looking very young Thanks Frank Gissane Dublin
Since the great Whiskey Fire, whiskey is no longer aged here. Consequently, and disappointingly, one is not greeted with that pungent smell of mashed grain and aging barrels like in Kentucky. The tasting rations are also smaller than in Kentucky. There are different ticket prices corresponding to different whiskey tastings after the distillery tour. The tasting portion is a little sloppy because of this, and the cards do a poor job conveying the unique properties of each whiskey, specifically their mashbill and aging history. All in all, for the amateur or beginner whiskey drinker it is an enjoyable experience.
I spoke to an old boy in a pub toilet, asked him the best distillery and he said to forget about all the tourist traps and come here.. boy he didn t disappoint! (With the recommendation not in the toilet). Our guide was so positive and passionate which made the experience even better. Because it s new it s beautiful inside and out. Highly informative and the tasting at the end topped off what was already an amazing experience. Don t waste your time going to other distillery s one Dublin come here.
Rob gave us a great tour today! He was funny, entertaining and informative. I am not a whiskey fan but my husband is. We came on the tour because I knew he would love it and I ended up enjoying it very much myself. I even tasted all four of the whiskeys and drank the cocktail. I may be a new whiskey convert!!
A very well done tour of the one and only working distillery in Dublin since well it was a long time ago. Opened in 2015, the local production is not expected until (if I understood correctly) 2021 because of the 6 years maturation that the company imposes itself. But Teeling has been distilling whiskey for a good many years on other sites, as well as having been present in Newmarket as early as the 18th century. Friendly staff, interesting content, nice bar (upstairs) and coffeeshop (downstairs), independent from the actual working site and guided tours. Altogether a very pleasant experience at an affordable price.
Hoping to do a tour to understand the whiskey production processes, we were a bit disappointed that the ticket was 17 per person even without tasting and I was offered the same for my little son with a cocktail party ... .50 it seemed a bit 'many and we decided not to do the tour ... sin the curiosity has remained.
Informative and fun tour of a functioning distillery producing fairly upmarket Irish whiskey. Owned by a couple of brothers, this factory sits in the heart of the Liberties where there once were 37 distilleries producing about 60% of the world's whiskey. This is newly opened and others are returning concentrating on crafting the more matured and nuanced whiskies.
Our guide was friendly and well read in his history and production techniques. There isn't a huge amount to see and only very limited interactivity as the Distillery is pretty compact. Some tanks are open to look in and there is an opportunity to sniff a few barrels to see if you can guess what was in them. Still the upside of that is that you're sitting down to a tasting in about 40 mins. In our group people had opted for three different tasting options and it was all laid out waiting for us. It was interesting just to hear what others were drinking even if we couldn't all taste it. The guide was able to answer plenty of questions especially about maturation which is where a lot of the mystery and art seems to lie. As with all these tours you finish next to the bar and gift shop which was lightly stocked with good whiskey and good quality things you don't need. The cafe downstairs has good coffee and really excellent sausage rolls.
Excellent tour. Great to see whiskey distilleries returning back to the where they belong in The Liberties in Dublin. Where at one stage was the world whiskey distilling capital.
That was awesome and we really liked it! We have seen a lot, tasted and the tour through the production is also very exciting! Actually, we are not whiskey drinkers, but the cocktails in the end was mega! Cool brand
Fantastic tour. Took just shy of an hour and it felt like it was even faster. Spend the extra couple euros and get either the Trinity or single malt tastings. Good snacks while you wait at the cafe and plenty of seating. DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We had an excellent tour and whiskey testing with Eve. Very interesting, marketing orientated place which builds upon a long tradition of Irish distilleries. The whiskey is certainly a recommendation. My favourite is the Revival.
The tour was very interesting, although a bit short (+/- 40min). We learn as much about Dublin's history as about whiskey.
The tasting really pleased me, because our guide explained to us how to taste the whiskey (it's not the same as the wine!).
Small +: Teeling coffee opens before 10am, so you can enter and wait warm first visit! The advantage of this distillery is also to be located in the city center, perfect if you do not want to waste time in transport (20min walk from Grafton's Street).
The small -: the visit is in English. If you are not English speaking, you may be a little lost, even if small explanatory panels (in English) mark the visit. After checking on the spot if they do not have guides francophones, one never knows!
If you only have to visit one distillery in Dublin, I recommend Teeling!
Arrived early and got a coffee in the Phoenix cafe before I was met by Julia, our tour giude. The guide was friendly, very informative and had an interest in what she was doing. At the end you have to pass through the gift shop and for myself, it was hard to leave without a bottle of "fill your own". I'll definitely be returning again before the year is out. Thanks again
My wife and I had a great tour with Eimear! I got the top-shelf tasting and it was fantastic- the wife really enjoyed the cocktail! Great story, better product!
Went here for the flea market which was closed so we decided to drink some whiskey at teelings instead. It was a nice experience, people are friendly and whiskey tastes really good. Would recommend if you're in the neighbourhood
Terrific tour and very enthusiastically delivered. I didn't know a lot about whisky beyond drinking it but I learned a lot about the distillation process and what goes in to making it. Recommended.
Really great tour, one of a kind in the City center. Can actually see the whole process of distilling right on spot and smell the brew. Highly recommended!
Interesting to smell and see the production of a whiskey. I do not like swiping at competitors, I find unprofessional. Tour was not so great .. even if our tour guide was nice and tried .. the other whiskey tour the day before I found personally better .. also the cocktail I found the day before vieel better!
Teeling is great! Our guide, Cormac, was very knowledgeable and friendly. He answered all the extra questions of the group. Mr. John Teeling, the father of the owners, gave a bit of our tour and signed our bottle of sherry barreled whisky in the gift shop. Nice place, personal attention, and excellent Irish whisky. What else could you ask for??
Excellent experience, lovely hearing some history of my city that previously I wasn't fully aware of. Hoping to see a resurgence of Irish whiskey after that! The tour brings you through an active distillery, and the tasting is excellently led. Recommend grabbing a black wristband for the optimal experience! Special mentions to Harry and Niall, who led our tour and tasting respectively - brought a lovely bit of humour to the whole thing, greatly added to the trip. Frankly a must-see if you're in Dublin!
Had an amazing tour with an extremely knowledgeable and energetic tour guide. Loved how you can really see the distilling machinery and process. And the tasting was delicious too!
Interesting tour in the new destillery, with a really great guide, ended with a high quality tasting (30 euro for combined tour and tasting of three interesting single malts + one blended). The single malt whiskey was better than expected. The 9 year old single malt (sold for 50 euro/bottle) was actually really good (all whisky in the tasting was from the old destillery though).
Very nice distillery, definitely worth a visit. Single cask bottlings can be bottled here. You can also just relax and enjoy a few standard bottlings, especially interesting when it rains outside as often
It was my youngest son who suggested we go there and explore the history of whiskey the only thing that makes whiskey in Dublin and very interestingly happy with the tour.
Fantastic experience! Would highly recommend a visit here if you're visiting Dublin or even if you're a local. Our very friendly guide Kirsten was super informative and answered any questions we had, she definitely knows her stuff about Whiskey. Beautiful smells throughout the building and the distillery is wonderful.
The experience is unique. We visited the distillery which still works with a very nice guide. For making Guiness store house and Jameson distillery, the Teeling distellery brings another way to visit. In addition, a glass of whiskey and a cocktail is offered at the end.
Extreme interesting tour. Tour guide shared lots of cool facts and we really enjoyed the tour and the tasting. If you are in Dublin I would definitely recommend it.
Great tour, very casual and informative. We had a great time seeing the facility and observing the first stages of whiskey making. Unfortunately, the maturation process canot be performed within the city, so we do not see the aging barrels and bottling. There are three different tour options, that differ by the products offered at the tasting. If you have a hop-on-hop-off bus ticket, you can ask for a free tour upgrade, well worth it. Recommended visit!
Very interesting tour. Lots of information on the history of Irish whiskey from our guide Cillian. We were also well informed about the production of the whiskey. With subsequent Whiskeytasting depending on the selected tour 1-3 different.
A smaller distillery than Jamesons. The tour and tasting go through the actual fermentation and distilling areas. They leave a fermentation vat open so you can see the yeast at work. The tastings are small groups and the more expensive tasting is worth the couple of extra euros. There's a gift shop and bar that's cozy and enjoyable enough to spend a few hours with friends, (but plan to take a taxi or bus home). :-)
Superb visit to this distillery which deserves to be known! We can take pictures of everything, we were lucky to be alone with the guide which is a real plus for the visit and the tasting. I highly recommend the Single Malt formula which gives the best impression of the range (to be taken online). Totally different from Irish whiskey as we know it in France (Jameson, Paddy, Bushmill's, etc ...). Being rather fond of Scottish whiskey, I really have a new look on the Irish now. Hyper recommended!
Nice guide, interesting tour. Duration about 1 hour. Excellent tasting. I recommend the more expensive one because they make you taste high-quality whiskey. The 15 and 30 tastings can be done together so that if there are several choices within a group of people you will still be sitting at the same table
Fab tour and I don't even like whiskey!!! Fiona, our guide, was knowledgeable, friendly and made the tour really good fun (give her a bonus!). The tasting at the end was great - she really took the time to speak to each member of the tour and explain the various whiskies and cocktails we were sampling; and the history behind each fact she stated. 10/10 would recommend and will come back next time I am in Dublin!
An informative look at how Irish whiskey is made with tidbits of the history of Irish whiskey. Plus it ends with a tasting of Teeling! The tours are priced based on how much whiskey you want at the end but there s also a bar if you want to order other drinks after. (Get the Irish Coffee -- it s the best I ve ever had!) The gift shop shouldn t be missed either. There are several bottles only available there, like the Distillery Select, aged in Hungarian Oak. Plus you can bottle your own single cask (that can be included in the tour price too).
Visited a couple of years ago now. Whenever I talk about my visit to Dublin this is always the highlight of my trip. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour and tasting - stayed at the bar for a couple more glasses of course
I have enjoyed reading the great reviews and my wife and I look forward to visiting your distillery in early November. I had two questions: How do I book a tour today, as I will be receiving my admission via the Dublin Pass that I purchased ? Also, can we decide while we are there to do one of the tasting upgrades, or do we need to book that in advance as well ? I assume that the tour is the same either way.
Great building, interesting history and very friendly staff! In the in-house cafe you can also have a drink and eat. We had booked a tour that I can recommend to everyone, at the end there is also a whiskey tasting. One of my favorite "distillery". There is also a small souvenir shop.
My partner and I were super excited to visit this place on our first visit to Dublin since we d heard great things about the tour from friends and read the wonderful reviews online. Since we were only here on a weekend visit, we booked ourselves in online for the 30 tasting tour at 16:40 on a Saturday. We left early for our tour but the bus we were on was delayed, and then missed our stop, so we arrived at the distillery at 16:42 (the tickets we received at the front desk are stamped with this time). The front desk person told us our tour hadn t left yet and gave us our wristbands and directed us into the exhibition space to wait to be collected by our guide.
We waited for 10 min in the exhibition space and a tour started which we assumed was ours and began to follow the guide only to be told by a participant that it was a private tour. We returned to the front desk to ask when the 16:40 tour would be leaving. The staff then told us we had missed our tour and that it must have been our fault for not waiting in the right place (we had been) or being in the washrooms (we hadn t been). We were also told that tours left right on time and when we explained that we d been told we hadn t missed our tour, the staff shrugged and said they didn t know what had happened. No assistance was offered nor was an apology. The staff said all they could do was put us on the 17:40 tour, the last of the day, an hour later. When we explained we were in town a short time and had dinner reservations we worried about missing, we were told the tour and tasting would be fast.
We asked to be refunded for our money and left, extremely disappointed as this was one of the things we d most looked forward to during our visit. It seems like a great place and I ve enjoyed their whiskey at bars in Dublin but when customer service goes wrong and then blames the customer, it leaves a sour taste in my mouth. I won t be back
