Enchanting place, history that remains in stone!
Worth a visit.

Incredible location where one realizes the greatness and the strength of production of the serene

This place is not that far from Saint Marc's square and is well worth the walk. The plaques commemorate the Arsenal's reference in Dante's Inferno and the statues it's principles.

A brilliant neighborhood around the old Venetian shipyards.

I really liked the sculptures of the castle and the walls of the fortress.

the medieval army harbor has a magnificent entrance and fortifications full of naval vestiges and in the halls modern art at the biennial, the naval museum presents the history of this place

Outside the tourist circuit, we got there by chance, but fascinating as all of Venice

Very nice place, with venetian arhitecture and a cozy, quiet place to hide from the tourist masses. It can not be visited on the inside because it's a military outpost, but it's worth the view from outside.

Less touristy and very typical with a good little cafe in the square

A place of great charm and great historical content for Italy. It is located in a very quiet area: I would recommend stopping for a Spritz in the Arsenale square .. what a peace! Easily accessible by ferry, or on foot. Note: you cannot enter because it is a military zone.

Beautiful arsenal, of the ancient Serenissima, certainly deserves a visit inside even if normally it is not possible since a military area of the state. The complex is the only example of shipyard and arms factory that has always maintained the same nature and the same function, for seven centuries, even after the decline of the Republic of Venice.
You can visit it inside only during special events such as the biennial or boat show or a few other events.

Beautiful exhibition area. I was there for the Architecture Biennale.

I was there with my class in 2017. We were on our way to become media designers and we had the luck to see the Biennale and all the exhibits. I have been to Venice before but the Arsenale is stunning and beautiful in itself.

Amazing statues off of the main paths. Worth seeing but keep in mind there is no entrance inside. Worth the few minutes out of the way.

One friend lost his passport and we had to get to the Greek Embassy to replace it. So we visited and enjoyed the area and the quietness.

The environment of the old arsenal already arouses incredible emotions and great respect. If we add the presence of thousands of works of the Venice Biennale there is little to add. Exciting

It deserves a visit, a piece of history of the Venetian Republic

Beautiful and pleasant place, less tourists around.

Worth the visit if interested in navy or nautical history. Tour does not take long.

Entry into the historic naval museum for the first time I was enchanted. A must visit for those who come to Venice makes more than any review.

I've been there for work, a great location where they often also host events.

The view is breathtaking and I advise all tourists to make at least one jump, do not expect anything striking as catering / entertainment is more a serene walk in the middle of the sea.

Nice relatively quiet square off the beaten track. As can probably see from the photos it's quite a sight to behold. There is a nice little bar / cafe right next to the statues on the corner where we stopped for a beer and a quick bite.

Wouldn't go recommending this square to potential tourists but if you stumble across it then it's a nice area.

From the 22nd century, this area of the arsenals had its greatest commercial flowering. In the arsenals the beautiful galleys were built with which the Serenissima became the most powerful seaside city in Italy! Currently the Arsenali area hosts events, exhibitions and shows related to the Biennale. I suggest a visit, even for a simple walk! It is really worth it.

Because the main entrance is the military one, and in the opposite entrance where you can also enter I found the Moor of Venice moored, a famous sailboat in the 90s

The museum is a good place to spend time with children on a rainy day. However, it has a modest and somewhat abandoned air

Next to Arsenal and there is a very nice Navy museum
