The ER has no sense of urgency. The wait is entirely too long. I watched them take them lolly gag and walk carelessly as a man seized . They have no structure . The parking is horrible. None of my experience was good. I had to tell them what I needed, cause they seemed clueless.

Let me begin by saying that I live within 1.6 miles of this place and after last night, I don't care if I'm having a heart attack, I would rather risk my life and travel the extra distance to go to another hospital than to ever come here again. I got to the ER around 1230am and left around 515am. I spent almost five hours in the ER, in very severe pain mind you, and the furthest I got was the chair at the front desk where they take your information. While sitting there in very intense pain, I witnessed a mother who was experiencing what she felt were miscarriage symptoms sit and wait for three hours before her and family got up and left. I also witnessed a lady who stated that she just had a seizure about an hour before she came to the ER sit and wait three and a half hours before she finally decided to leave. I'm not sure the guidelines of how they set their severity levels of seeing a patient but this certainly needs to change. You would think for a hospital who's basically right down the street from the state Capitol, this place would be on their A game at all times. Wishful thinking I guess. I wish I could give this place 0 stars but unfortunately, I had to settle with one. No matter what your medical emergency, please let this place be your last option.

Two separate events, both terrible. Both events consisted of more than 10+ hours of waiting in the ER and none of the staff being able to tell us how long it be take. This is why people pay for Capital Regional Hospital and the ER ads work.

Hope and pray you NEVER have to deal with the "billing department" at this hospital. They are the rudest, laziest, most unprofessional people you will ever have the displeasure of coming across. It is simply amazing how they could have compiled an office with as many low class people as you will find here. If they are talking to you, they are lying. They receive FIVE STARS for incompetence and uncooperation.

Do not use TMH Cancer center- no one there seems to know what they are doing. One person will tell you one thing and the next says no that is not true.
They get angry if you ask them questions. They explain nothing.I looked some things up on the internet since they could not explain it and they told me not to do that, that the information was wrong. I guess they know better than Sloan Kettering or American Cancer Society.
The attitude there is that once you are a patient you forfeit all rights to dignity, privacy, and respect. They call you dearie or sweetie like you are 5 years old.. The dressing room is unisex. That's right, you change out of your clothes in front of everyone. Then you get to sit it a public waiting room wearing a little cotton gown. There is no privacy or respect for dignity.
They do not do anything to be accommodating regarding time. I've been told, "the doctor wants to see you so wait around until he is free" just assuming I have nothing to do in my life and can drop everything at their whim.
This place is awful - DO NOT GO HERE!!!

I now go to MD Anderson and the difference is unbelievable. At MD Anderson they listen to you and provide personalized care. They discuss options and you decide with your doctor how to proceed. They are helping me recover from some of the stuff TMH did.
I cannot stress it enough DO NOT use TMH, they are awful!!

This is the first review I have ever done and I st...

This is the first review I have ever done and I struggled with the decision to do it, however, I felt like people need to know. I was visiting in October from South Carolina when I became very sick and in pain beyond any level I have ever experienced, and I have had two children. I was taken by an ambulance that morning to TMH in excruciating pain. It did not take long for it to be determined, following CT Scan, that I would need emergency surgery and a surgeon was called in. Once he arrived the treatment plan changed, simply because my pain level had decreased. Of course it had decrease, and thank God for it, I was given medications to reduce the pain. I, however, was still in a lot of pain, and the level would escalate as the medication left my system. The diagnosis itself never changed. I was told I was being admitted but instead of being moved in to a room, I spent the night in the ER. The care and attention was nonexistent to negligent. There was one moment that I was in the bed on my knees dry heaving into a trash can and crying in pain. The nurse walked in, handed me a damp rag then walked out. She never came back in to check on me, although I was in distress when she walked out. I had to go out and find someone to get me a blanket. I could provide detailed account of the night, but I will sum it up by saying it was awful!! To get attention through the night, I would have to ask. The next morning, still in pain and tears, I decided to go to another hospital and asked to be discharged. After that I was unhooked from the IV and moniters and that was the last I saw of an RN once I told her someone was coming to get me. I then heard my family member, who called to find out where to pick me up, being mocked by the young lady who answered the phone. She was loud and mean spirited and the group around her laughed. She was mocking his Southern accent. Because my phone had died I had to ask to use the phone to call him. I had trouble getting a line. When I asked for help I was rudely given instructions on how to do it. When I failed again he took the phone. I hate to admit I was pleased that he failed as well and asked a colleague to assist him. By this point I am literally in tears and swaying with pain. I am also barefooted because I had been brought from home by an ambulance and we didn t think to gab shoes. He did not acknowledge my distress, offer assistance, ask me to sit down, NOTHING. He handed me the phone and walked away. Not another professional soul approached me during the time I waited for my ride. I had surgery the same day in another facility. Every professional there was appalled that I had been discharged. My condition was life threatening and I was told every minute counts . The care I received before, during and the week I spent in the hospital after the surgery was completely different than that at Tallahassee. They were competent and caring professionals. Where I wouldn t give Tallahassee even one star if I could rate in the negative, I would give the hospital in Macon, GA a hundred stars.

TMH is the best hospital in northern Florida. Not only are the staff incredible, but the care that is given is even better. I see a lot of reviews complaining about the wait in the ER. Yes, the wait may be long at times but have you ever wondered why this may be? The care that is given is better than any hospital in Tallahassee. The other hospitals ER might be a shorter wait, but you will not receive the same impeccable care as you would at TMH. Choose the best for your family and friends, choose TMH as your hospital.

Our family has had numerous (unfortunately) visits to TMH (ER and Hospital). We have always had nothing but a positive experience. Most recently was an ER for my daughter - she was seen in record time with the tests needed to find her source of pain. People are quick vent their negatives - as a family who has had several visits - I highly recommend TMH.

For a place so large, you would expect a larger staffed and more efficient hospital. I understand that some people are more critical patients, but being told a 5 hour wait and then that I would be put on the fast track only to be stuck in the waiting room for 9+ hours is actually rediculous. If there was another place I could ve gone to, I would have, only if I hadn t gotten this false hope from the amount of people leaving the waiting room, other than me. I will NEVER return to this ER unless it is a life or death emergency and I am taken here by an ambulance. They should seriously split up staff between the ER with patients flowing in and those crucial patients.

This is one of the best hospitals we have been to. They gave him 24 hour care and ran many test. Where are the other hospitals could not find out what was wrong with him they were able to determine with the same tests that he had a rare throat cancer. The other hospitals had run the same test and they never discovered what was wrong with him even though he could not eat food and was very hoarse. I cannot complain about the doctors and the nurses here. Top-notch care. The only thing they could improve upon is the housekeeping which is not the greatest in keeping the rooms clean

They overdosed me on a strong drug I had never taken before. The doctor came back in 10 minutes after giving it to me and decided I was still in pain so he pushed another IV of it then sent me home. It takes at least 20 minutes for dilaudid to work. I was puking my guts all night which made my original complaint worse. There is always dirt or blood on the floors. Just grosses me out. I will never go there again.

I wouldn't take my dog to this hospital. My mothe...

I wouldn't take my dog to this hospital. My mother in-law presented here last Friday with a broken shoulder. She was admitted and before having surgery, she went into complete heart block requiring a temporary pacing wire. Her bloodwork showed evidence of a heart attack and her LV function was decreased to 25%. She was scheduled for a heart cath on Sunday however it was cancelled because the interventionist and the cath call team were tired. Are you freaking kidding me I thought! My husband and I are both in the cardiac cath field and never once in my 18 yr career have I ever heard of a cardiac patient being left to sit with evidence of cardiac injury because the staff had worked long hours and were tired. She waited 3 days for her procedure to be done. This shows a complete lack of concern, care, competence or any type of patient advocacy. Beware! Stay far, far away from this facility and their staff!

TMH emergency room honestly deserves 0 stars. My boyfriend came in with extreme abdominal pain and after about 10 minutes he literally fell out on the floor and started crying/screaming near the restroom because the pain was so bad. No one came to check on us and even when a random person told the staff that my bf was laying on the floor and screaming in pain, they still did not come. He screamed and laid on the floor for an hour before we decided to leave. When we went to Capital Regional, they helped my bf within 5 minutes!! The staff there was amazing!

This is the worst hospital I've ever been in my life set in the ER with chest pains for two and a half hours walked out now I have to drive to the other hospital to get some medical attention and most likely don't send me a bill for the time sitting in the ER... I would suggest never ever ever go to TMH... you will waste time and initially have to go to another hospital to get taken care of

This is the worst emergency center and staff I have ever experienced. My sister came in on an ambulance extremely pale, vomiting and in pain and they made her sit in the waiting room like a normal patient with a cold. As she began to throw up an insane amount they completely ignored her and I had to get up and tell them how ridiculous and innapropriate their staff is. This is the WORST hospital EVER. Never coming here again.

After being in pain for 3 days, I decided to go to tmh. I sat in the er for 5 hours crying, puking, and other things.... alllllll over myself, with no help. I asked how long until I could be seen bc I was getting worse, response was we don't know. When I asked for my Iv line to be taken out the front desk was rude. I rushed to capital regional medical center, where I was taken straight back bc of dehydration. Turns out, I had a tear in my intestin and was severely dehydrated. Anyone seeking medical help, skip this place and go to CRMC instead

Majority of the staff at this hospital are terrible, rude, and uniterested in helping anyone at all. They actively avoid looking at you and conversation with all their might and share none of your concern for you or your family! They leave paperwork with important personal information out on desks for everyone to see. I shudder to think that I'll ever have to go back there again.

They only committed medical malpractice on me 3 ti...

They only committed medical malpractice on me 3 times in a 10 month time period, which I guess by TMH standards is good?
Here are the details of what they dragged me through:
1. I went to urgent care with a crazy headache, it was so severe and when it persisted we went to the self proclaimed professionals. They took brain scans, no spinal tap, and diagnosed me with meningitis. (I now know it was a brain hemorrhage.)
2. As the pain changed, they changed their diagnosis to migraines.

Thankfully, I decided to go out of state for university, a decision I made without knowing it was LIFE OR DEATH. I chose life when I chose a school within helicopter distance of an actually decent hospital. At school, I had an even more severe headache, then lifeflighted to a good hospital and was given my diagnosis. A month later, I had ANOTHER hemorrhage, lifeflighted to the good hospital again and received an emergency surgery that cured me. Unfortunately, the severity of the final hemorrhage caused me to have to drop out of school and recover at my family home near the bad hospital (The Medical malpractice Hospital).
3. I then resumed care under TMH. Good: neuro rehab and Dr. Oliver.
Bad: This careless care... The medical drama I had at the good hospital resulted in me now being seizure risk so I needed a neurologist to manage that. The neurologist I saw at TMH has you write down all the meds you re on, but don t be fooled it s all for show. He put me on an anti seizure medication, but when I got blood work to monitor the levels, there was no trace of the medicine (poison) in my blood. My neurologist called me and doubled my dosage of this poison. Thankfully I had a run in with a good medical professional (a CVS pharmacist) who told me that my other medication counteracts my antisiezure medication. WHICH IS WHY IT DIDN T SHOW UP IN MY BLOOD-WORK. I know it s a revelationary concept, but I like doctors who tell me these things.

Recap: if it s simple enough that you can diagnose yourself they will be just fine, but if you have something serious PLEASE send off any tests done to a trustworthy hospital.

I want to give an excellent review to ASHLEY in the radiology department. This young lady was so nice and helpful. For those of you who do not know how hard it is at times to get medical records or radiology records, let me tell you it can be. My father passed away in October of 2016 and I have had to get records from a few places for my attorney. Because of the HIPA law, there is documentation that you have to provide and being out of state only makes it harder. So once you tackled this procedure, you want to feel comfortable knowing that this request will be handled properly and all records are received in a timely manner. Well Ms. Ashley not only did this and followed through with my requests, but she showed genuine interest in my needs. She was very friendly and helpful and showed compassion. It would be so nice if this were the case more often. I've come to understand that it is difficult these days to find people that actually do their jobs without me having to call back or for that matter feel comfortable that they will do the job as requested. This time I knew I had nothing to worry about. THANK YOU ASHLEY FOR EXCEEDING MY EXPECTATIONS...

As a trauma patient, I believe that I was treated very well by doctors, nurses, and staff at TMH. The people working on the orthopedic floor are AMAZING and truly care about their patients. My only complaints are that the nurse call buttons are not a part of the bed and that my left arm was broken and the doctors/staff 'missed' it. The nurse call buttons are on these silly remote controls that can easily fall off the bed. For someone who is bed-ridden, that's a big problem! And having a broken arm that wasn't noticed is self-explanatory. I had so many other broken bones that were in far worse condition, which is how it was missed. We found out that my arm was broken 2 weeks after my accident while I was in the TMH Rehab Facility.

After an hour wait in the waiting room I was finally taken to my room. The room was absolutely disgusting. there was dirt and hair on the floor, and im pretty sure a little bit of blood on the wall next to the bed. I waited for another hour before the first nurse came in. I saw a total of 7 different doctors/nurses all of whom asked me the same questions with no treatment given to me. Then after about 7 hours of this they told me they were going to transport me to a different building to be treated. It was at this time they told me my boyfriend who had been in the waiting room, could have been with me the entire time. And on top of that I asked several times for a snack or something because I was staving after being in the hospital for the entire day, never got the snack by the way. At the building I was taken to, I could hear 2 nurses making fun of me in the hall. HELLO? Rude much?!?! The staff was unbelievably rude and seemed to be ill educated in the customer service department. It is now about 2 months later and they called to tell me they never received my insurance information (which I had faxed next day) and have an outstanding balance to over $2000. I will never be going back to TMH.

I just had to write this... I had the most horrible experience at the food court. My brother and I were getting a salad, and noticed that an item "purple onions" was all but out. I asked Sharron if it would be possible to get more. She went to check. Waiting, 15 minutes later, the manager "Rebecca Zillion"? came over and stated very rudely, "that they were not on the menu today", I asked "then why did the have a container for them"?. she then started to walk away when I asked who she was ' Very rudely stated that "The manager, and I asked and what's your name, "Rebecca, and I asked and your last name,? "Zillion, like million but with a Z. To be honest I was just completely taken back by her behavior. What she didn't realize was that my brother was standing by the hot food case when Sharron came out to fill the condiment when he overheard her saying, "Not to take them out there, that she had already told me that they were out, and not to fill it till I was gone". I spoke with several employees who stated that she treats all customers this way and that she treats them even worse. I filled a complaint, with the head of the food department. The department head tried to make amends for her behavior but he wasn't the one that needed to say he was sorry.

worst hospital experience ever in my life. my dad was a patient, I walked him outside in his wheelchair to get some fresh air. We saw an older lady struggling and offered her the wheelchair, I walked her in and take her to the front desk. She told them that she was having chest pain s and could not breath. They asked her to walk around and fill out some papers and she walked one direction and the man asked her to please walk the other way around for his own convenience. Mind you this lady could have been having a heart attak.

I went here this am after a severe nosebleed. I had the same type of nosebleed 6 days ago. I work for a MD, so when I went to work the following Monday, I relayed what happened with the nosebleed over the weekend & he examined my nose& said if it happens again then I need to get help. Well it happened again this am while I was leaving my house to go to work. My husband took me to TMH ER. I got in quick but was examined by some PA & all she did was look in my ears & nose & said that they don t do anything for nosebleeds! So there goes hundreds of $$$ down the toilet They didn t run any tests, do any blood work, nor did a real Dr come in to see me. They handed me a paper of what to do when you have a nosebleed. Really !?!? So I returned home, & got my car do I can go to work. I got half way down the road & my nose started severely bleeding again. Got to work still bleeding bad & one of the Arnps was able to see me. The bleeding eventually stopped & I was given Afrin. I will NEVER go back to that ER again. After that b.s, I m stuck with this bill & got nothing out of the visit. Absolutely ridiculous

I recently moved to Tallahassee from Washington DC...

I recently moved to Tallahassee from Washington DC. Do to the fact that I have an autoimmune disease (lupus) and other serious health issues I have had to visit this hospital multiple times in the last 3months. One visit I was in extreme pain, pressure high ,flair up and was sent home with nothing. They pretty much said take some Motrin and go to sleep. Another visit I sprained my ankle couldn't walk and I had to ask for crutches after falling nearly hitting the floor. during the next visit i was left in a room for a very long time . No one checked on me for over an hour I couldn't get up and there was no call button. Then I go in for a tooth ache and they prescribed a narcotic but when I was in actually in pain during a flair up nothing. Not even for swelling or muscle spasms. some of the staff are friendly but others are not and will talk to you any type of way. I met one np I really liked who gave me a few stiches. They never let my family in the back unless they come in with me at the time Im called.Once my wife wanted to come back when I was transportated to the Er via ambulance and they refused to let her back. They even let her write a note and they bought it to me but would not let her back .In the Er ago week ago I went in for vomiting and nausea, chest pain, coughing, painpall over and flu symptoms basically. I was told it wasn't the flu and it would pass. I was given nausea meds and sent home . No chest x-ray .No other tests and only diagnosed with nausea. Today I went for the same symptoms.yet again another confusing visit. I was placed in an area with a bunch of people didn't know what I was waiting for because no one tells you anything just to follow them. I was ignored by the tech and after I told the doctor I could not take the prescription he prescribed he refused to change it. No one should feel like they rather suffer than go to the hospital and sit for hours to leave feeling worse. That's what TMH makes people feel like .Staff range from Disrespectful staff with horrible bedside manner to polite and caring so you never know what you will get. Good luck

This is my second attempt, the first disappeared; which makes this one more abbreviated. I loved most of the staff. However, I have 2 issues with my husband's post-op experience. #1- I was not given a tracking number for the surgical waiting room and the volunteer desk was unattended. A nice employee went above and beyond by "tracking" down the "tracking" number so I could watch the board in the surgical waiting room. #2 - due to some complications and the lateness of his out-patient surgery, my husband had to spend the night. I left at midnight before he was transferred to 3A. I called at 2:45 AM to check on his status. The person answering the phone was very adamant and inflexible about giving out information unless I had a PIN! I appreciate TMH's security measures provided to protect the patient's privacy. She insisted that my husband had the PIN and should have given it to me (I know he was a clueless as I since he was dizzy and nauseated) and said she would have him call me with the number IF he wanted me to have it! I told her not to wake him for this, then hung up and cried! But I am tenacious when it comes to my family and called back. Luckily I got his nurse: I rattled off his SSN, DOB and address. The nurse responded appropriately and filled me in on how he was doing. Hospital policy should not be so cold and uncaring that a patient's wife would be denied access to updates on her husband's condition.

Some of the staff here deserved more than 2 stars while a good number of them deserve one or two for their attitudes. Please, if you don't like your job then leave. I just spent time here with a very sick relative who passed away. I'm old enough to have been in many hospitals in my life time and this one was one of the worst I've visited. First off, parking. You have a garage and from what I can tell is the only place to park. Arrive after 9AM and you will be riding around for a long time in hopes of finding a spot with someone leaving. Even with a handicap placard you will not find a space available so just look for one where walking a good distance is required. When my relative was moved to the cancer ward we were required to use elevators B. Bring a book as you will be waiting a long long time. Getting from the G floor to the 7th was quite the time consuming experience. Adding to the misery is the fact one of the three elevators was out of service and hospital staff all use this elevator with large carts and so on. The food, which someone said was excellent, may be if you're used to eating hot dogs from a service station. I could go on and on but suffice to say I found being at this hospital a less than enjoyable experience.

The nurse named Gabby in the ICU is in the wrong profession. My family member was unable to make their own decisions and she allowed another person to enter their room and take pictures of them without concent or them knowing. Someone gave them the room number and they gained access to a patient that was to have no visitors until they could make their own decisions. Gabby said it didn't happen on her shift and that it was my fault for not being able to control the person taking pictures. She has no regard for patient privacy and she can't even take responsibility. She also made sure to inform me that she's not a security guard and it's not her responsibility to babysit her patients.

You will die in the TMH ER if you are very ill. I waited 5 hours with a fever of 103 before leaving. [I am told the secret to being seen is to keel over or vomit, if possible (I witnessed the former, and the patient was indeed wheeled off, perhaps to be placed in a behind-the-scenes waiting room.)]

Thank God, I awoke the next morning and went to my MD at that time (who proceeded to misdiagnose me with Bird Flu for a full week, but that's another horror story.) I have also gone to the TMH Urgent Care and had a mixed experience there. One of the doctors was excellent; one of the people at the intake desk was harsh and uninformed.

I have had surgery at TMH, but will never do so again. When I left I had a thought to market T-shirt: "I SURVIVED TMH". Yes, it's that bad.

Overall, I would recommend going to the other hospital in town. I have only experienced their ER section, but it was professional and outstanding in every respect. We are fortunate to have the option of another hospital.

My mother was in TMH. She walked in and never walked out. Too many mistakes made by inexperienced hospitalist that are fresh out family practice making decisions on critical care pt's. Nurses were horible and not just one floor but we were transferred to several different floors and all were bad. One nurse even dropped my mothers medicine on the floor and swore to me she had given it to her. It was the worst experience of my life. Unfortunately my mother didn't survive the mistakes made by TMH. I could write a book about all the mistakes we witnessed. We wrote letters and complaints only to be ignored. How they get away with it is beyond me. Of course in this area we don't have a lot of choices for healtcare. If any other family or myself needs hospital care, I am gong to Shands

If I could give less than one star i would.
I went in today with chest pain, shortness of breath, very dizzy.
My d-dimer blood test came back at hi levels which indicates a blood clot somewhere they did a CT scan of my lungs which came back normal. But I still have all the symptoms that I came in with and I told I felt like I was going to pass out.
The horrible doctor said I was fine and sent me home.
Terrible experience

My husband has atrial fibrillation and it flared up a couple of weeks ago, requiring a trip to the ER. We were seen immediately and within an hour had an ECG, labs drawn, IV in place and in a room. The ED doc was prompt and thorough. If an ER visit could be described as "great" this one was!

Well, I got to the emergency room at about 4:30 am, and it is 7:30 that I am writing this review as we STILL wait to be seen by a doctor. Not only have we been waiting for three hours, but but the woman, Jennifer, at the front desk was consistently rude and aggressive when dealing with patients and their families.

Sitting here at TMH with my daughter who has pain in her knee. We had to literally force the doctor to complete an Xray that they really didn't want to do. Because of the poor service I begin to read reviews for TMH. In comparing the reviews, the bad easily out way the good. There's already nothing exciting or fun to do hear in tallahassee and then you have to deal with a hospital such as this. I am moving to a city with there's better hospitals and staff who actually knows what there doing.

I went there today feb 11. 2019. 7 hours time. I dont think the staff know what they were doing. All the information they gave me was very vague. I think i may have something wrong with my spleen. They told me it looked abnormally large on an ultrasound. But on a CT read by another person they said nothing was wrong. You took 4 xrays of me and almost 15mins of CT Scans. Told me "ehhh, we'll talk about ot later." When I asked about the Problems with my bloodwork. Im still experiencing pain in the area. I dont feel right but have since made it home. Its too late to schedule a doctos appointment. Have to go quickly tomorrow. Goodnivhf2 wizh me luck

If I could give this less than 1 star, I would. So...

If I could give this less than 1 star, I would. So here I am sitting here at around 2am, writing this review, I've finally had enough, sad considering we just had our son admitted a few hours ago. My husband left 3 of his heart meds out so he could take them, went to get some water and allowed our 15 month old son to possibly get a hold of 2 pills. I say possibly because even though we couldn't find the 2 missing pills in a brief search, every vital sign they have done has come back fine and I watch the monitor constantly to make sure. So we get here at about 240 in the afternoon, shortly after the incident it's a bit of a drive for us, we are taken to the er room and spend the next few hours there, up till about 9. Service was great considering I've been before with rude dismissive staff. Everybody made an effort to keep the baby smiling and happy, Anyways. Fast forward to 9, the pediatrician icu people seem nice, until it's time for us to sleep. See I was informed that they would have been keeping us till 12 and then letting us go, but instead they would keep us over night so we wouldn't have to drive home with us all being cranky and tired, seems like a good idea so I agree. I was also informed that they would be watching his vitals at the desk and wouldn't disturb us, just lay eyes on our son every two hours. Well, we went to bed at 1030 It's 230 and I swear I have been woken up at least 8 times. The nurses names are Denise & Sydney, both keeps coming in to tell me things they forgot to mention and making demands at late hours. They do not care if I get any sleep or my son does for that matter, I even asked if we were going to keep being woken up and they told me yea because they are concerned about my son's Health, like I'm not, but it's the middle of the damn night and my son is fine. Since we have gotten here his vitals have been great, he's pooping and peeping like normal, breastfeeding fine, & all of the doctors say he's fine & his blood work came back FINE. So heres those requests they are making and the things they have woken me up for, "is all he's had tonight is the silk milk, he might be thirsty we don't want him dehydrated" my son breastfeeds all night he's not dehydrated and the last thing I'm giving him in the middle of the night is damn chocolate milk or juice, "how many diapers has he wet since he's been here" 1, he also pooped in one where he probably peed more to be she didn't want to hear that, "oh btw, we don't believe you when you say he's peepng fine, we want to see his wet diaper... now." She didn't word it that way she made it sound professional but it's the same thing, I haven't changed my son's diaper in the middle of the night since he was 5 months old, I get my husband to get me a diaper and a wipe and I change my son while he's breastfeeding in my lap to try to keep him asleep, oh and btw, my husband's asleep on the floor, they never disturb him, and I get attitude because I did (but that's irrelevant right now), I've also been woken because she thought the baby might want water, wondering why he woke up screaming (really? That's a commen occurance every night, he gets boob and goes back to sleep ) and last but not least for his blood pressure, which btw is what woke him up from it tightening, ok I get it if you need to take it again, but don't wake us up just for that, especially when one time she forcibly held my son's arms down, if she would have left him alone to breastfeed he would have been calm and not moved. I've honestly had it with this hospital, it's nearing 3am as I finish texting this, 3 hours past 12, when he was declared ok to be released, if I didn't think I'd be starting numerous arguments and more stress than me or my son need I'd be discharging my son and leaving right now. Never have I ever felt this compelled to share an experience and write a review like this.
OH! And I forgot to add, she woke Both my son and myself up to say happy happy Easter, tried to give my son a toy bunny to play with. I said thank you and she said it's for the baby, like I didn't know...

I had my baby at the end of 2017 here. I should have stated in Orlando.... The doctor that was on call nearly killed me! I only gave 2 stars because my baby was healthy. Thank God. I understand that you have many other mothers in thw ward, but when we did manage to get her in the room she was more focused on other things than me & my baby.

I had two tears because the doctor cut me afterward the baby was out! She told me this! It caused me to tear more. Instead of stitching it she put paper in to stop the bleading. This was 12 hours later. After i passed out and fell out the bed from blood clots. She kept telling me that the blood was not from me but the remains of the sac.
I swole up so bad and eneded having to recive a second surgery to fix what she should have done the first time. I swole up so bad i couldnt move. By the end of the week i had to force myself to crab walk thourgh the pain to get the hell up out of thier. The travel nurses were useless. They ignored me and acted as though doing thier job was such a burden.
I will say there were a few nurses that were great! Once i made it to the next floor. The nurses were wonderful.

I second the people who would give this place zero stars. I recently went to the ER and was forced to wait for several hours in the lobby when it was not particularly busy. I ended leaving to go to Capital Regional where I was seen immediately. I then received a phone call stating that I had a bill for over $200 for the privilege of waiting in the lobby. If you can avoid it do not go to the ER here. You'll wait for hours and then receive a phone call seeking payment before you even see a bill.

The nurses in Recovery were very good. However I sat in Recovery 6 hours and would have had to spend the night there were it not for a family member seeking out a hospital administrator and demanding that they have a room for a patient they scheduled for surgery. It wasn t like it was a surprise that I was there. They found a room for me in another ward (7th Floor) and if I could rate the care I am receiving as a ZERO I would. I have been asking for hours about getting the compression machine that is supposed to be on my legs. After repeated requests/hours later I was told that they have done a lot of surgeries today and can only find one cord. I guess they re not concerned about a potential post surgery blood clot killing me.
I have some bleeding-probably normal but I wanted to mention it. I told the nurse. She had no clue what to say/do so she had to page the doctor. She is very unfamiliar with the various pain meds he ordered and had to call pharmacy twice in order to answer some basic questions (eg does the Tylenol have cosine in it?). It took 2 hours for her to get the pain meds IV.
She is tentative on her actions as if it s her first time doing by herself.
She doesn t have a good command of the English language which is an impediment to her ability to communicate with me as a patient. She doesn t seem to either understand or retain info. Eg I asked if the pitcher had water and she said no because she wasn t sure of any dietary restrictions even though I had already told her I was given food and coke downstairs. Later she said the IV could be removed only if I had resumed the ability to take liquids. I reminded her that I had coke downstairs and had just drunk a full cup of water that she brought me.
There are other things like asking me if I have 2 IVs which are clearly visible from the ports, and asking me questions like why I have 2 IVs and where my fluids are. She had absolutely no care instructions for me so my family member had to go to the nurses station to ask what the doctor had instructed. The CNAs aren t any better and I have called the nurses station 3 times now asking if someone could please close my door so I can buffer the noise of the woman across the hall yelling out. I d do it myself but I am hooked up to all kinds of things and cannot get out of the bed. 3 1/2 hours later and three calls to the nurses station and my door is still open. These are just a few of my experiences and is not some up the entirety of this poor care experience. I think I would preferred to be discharged to the street.
