Having returned from Vegas a week ago I feel I can now look back at my trip and review Sundance Helicopter Tours.
We took the Grand Canyon picnic tour on the 1st March 2018.
We had a limo pick up and a faultless booking in process at Sundance HQ.
We were met by our pilot after out safety brief and then our party of 4 were taken to the Helipad area where our trip beg7an.
The flight was amazing and I informative. It's pointless telling you about What you can only see if you do the tour....just accept that it is amazing.
We landed and did the obligatory photos and had a champagne lunch in the Canyon....again a breath taking and awesome experience..truly once in a life time.
The flight back was equally as good with a final trip along the strip.
The whole experience was unforgettable but made all the more enjoyable and informative by our fantastic pilot KEVIN! A true gentleman, host and pilot. An absolute credit to the industry and Sundance Helicopters.
A sincere thank you for the trip of a lifetime from me and my party.

Great experience. Best views of the strip are from the left side of the helicopter (looking forward). Would recommend purchasing 6 seats to get a private helicopter.

Company messed up reservation. Booked me 7/20/18 instead of requested 7/13/18, found out when the limo never showed.

When I called back to tell call center about the mess up the agent on the phone seemed more interested to tell me the manager had already left ( I am assuming to listen to the phone call) rather than offer a solution for the night.

This mess up cost me, my father, and brother a whole night of planned entertainment.

This company did not offer compensation on other reservations! Not what I would expect from a company charging $1557.00 flight for 3 people for an hour flight time!!! I ll be using Maverick like I did last trip next time.

What a day! The most amazing experience I have ever had. Our pilot Benjamin was wonderful

They ll pick you up at the hotel and you ll pay them $20 extra original ticket of you want to. The service is great. When you get in there, they give you a class of champagne. You ll be flying around with the pilot has 5-6 years experience and have enough knowledge to introduce you all about Vegas.

Been on the Grand Canyon tour today and hard to explain how amazing an experience it was from start to finish. The driver, Tommy , who picked us up and drove us from the strip to the Hoover Dam clearly loves his job and took time showing us some gems like Boulder City , even stopping to allow us to get some great pictures of Lake Mead in a little park with wild goats wandering about . He showed us some great alternatives to the strip and how you can see the real Vegas on a budget which would definitely help in future visits .After the safety briefing our pilot , Fred, took us into the Canyon explaining all about the history and keeping us very entertained and engaged the whole trip . We had plenty of time for pictures, including a selfie with Fred before a few glasses of champagne and then heading back to the base . A meal was included and that was great too before heading to our hotel . As most of our tour party were tired the return driver just put on some easy listening music and got us back quickly and safely . I can't say enough about what a great job everyone associated with Sundance did for us and I would highly recommend them to anyone wanting to experience the Grand Canyon .

We did a 4hr Grand canyon tour that included a landing at the base with a small brunch.

One word to describe this experience, AWESOME!!!!

Highly recommend, it's expensive but will worth the cost.

Our Sundance Helicopter ride to the Grand Canyon was freaking amazing! Our pilot Kristen was awesome! We were flown over Lake Mead and shown so many amazing things. Once we arrived to the bottom of the Grand Canyon we boarded a boat in which took us on the Colorado River. What a beautiful site to see and be on. As we rode along the Colorado River our Captain showed us and talked about the history of the Grand Canyon and the Colorado River and how they both have great significance to the Hualapai people and their ancestors.Once we were done we flew back to the top of the Grand Canyon and we were taken to where the Skywalk is. Super amazing! Breathtaking! We also walked around the Grand Canyon and had dinner on the edge of the Canyon with a beautiful view while the sun was setting. I highly recommend Sundance Helicopter ride. Most amazing and unforgettable ride of your life.

This was the best part of my trip. Picked us up from hotel and took us to the helicopter. Landed in the grand canyon and had champagne lunch. Well worth every penny

the experience was good but if someone sitting on rare right side in Helicopter than they can hardly get much good view of strip because they went around anti clock wise so in complete round someone sitting on rare right side of window will not have much view of strip but good view of downtown

As per my experience If you want best view of strip please try to get:
- 2 seats next to Pilot
- rare left side window seats

One place with a great experience i will never forget!

Their timing and logistics are very poor. We booked an 820pm flight and confirmed we needed to be on time and had a rendezvous back at the strip for 10pm...they failed completely, waiting for a long time at every stage. And they overloaded the minibus. 14 adults plus a baby in a minibus with 10 seatbelts...I'm quite sure this is illegal and I will be investigating further . The flight was good but the entire operation needs work. Very disappointed and will be asking them to reimburse us for their tardiness.

If you need a helicopter in Vegas Sundance is the place to call

We were most excited about this night experience and let me tell you we were the most disappointed after. They tell you to get there an hour before for check-in. We were there promptly an hour before, in fact we were the first ones there and we got THEE WORST seats on the helicopter. The back seats sit four and the front seats sit two, if you get the back right, you are complete screwed and not going to see much. We saw mostly residential because instead of looping it back the same way they came so the right side can see, they just do a race track loop so only the left and front can see. It was completely not worth the money and we don t recommend, we both said at the end that we had more fun playing their Jenga game in the waiting lobby for an hour than we did on our 15 mins of residential sight seeing.

The staff was ok the pilot was great! The limo driver was a gentleman. Wish that the price wasn't so high

This was such an amazing experience! The scenery was unbelievable, it was amazing to land in the Canyon as well! The pilot was great and very experienced - we felt in very safe hands! Would definitely recommend visiting the Grand Canyon and especially with this company :)

I really enjoyed the experience. It was my first helicopter ride. Our pilot was great, especially since we went on a windy night. Will definitely be back. Too bad the limo ride got packed.

An experience of a lifetime! I would and will recommend this tour to anyone going to Vegas. Everyone working there is professional, nice and really has a great experience awaiting for those seeking a grand adventure! Rebecca, our pilot was very good at her job and made the whole experience very enjoyable. Also if you've never flown before, don't worry, it's a lot smoother of a ride than you would think and it's air conditioned!

Great ride!! Would do it again in a heartbeat. Beautiful view, an awesome helicopter. The helicopter itself was luxurious like a limo. Highly recommended!!

Outstanding .
From start to finish this trip was memorable. All staff were friendly and helpful and Juan our pilot was informative , professional with a sense of humour. Thank you !!!

Lousy service we were promised that the tour would have no problem in terms of the visibility of the seats and it was quite the opposite our experience nor a hotel could see in the back seats right side, the truth is to pay 120 dls for not seeing absolutely nothing is a robbery, I do not recommend the service the person in charge of reception does not give a fuck if you could not observe anything, lousy service for staf and the stacy manager !!!

Kyle was our pilot, and fly over Vegas tour guide. The ride was a gift to my son for his bday. Unforgettable experience!

The flight was great, the pilot good. My complaint is about the company I feel ripped us off and is addressed in my verbatim email to the company and their response:
ME: "My husband and I took your tour in Jan. 1st. When we arrived we asked the clerk if I could sit in the front since I get motion sick in the back of cars. We were told we had to pay $50 each for front seating. Now, I get it if we had reserved spots in the front and were told in advance it is considered a premium seat. But, the flight was full, no one had paid extra for a front seat and you would have had to put people in front seats either way! We felt we were taken advantage of."
RESPONSE: "Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to address your concerns. Front seat requests are confirmed at the time of check-in and is based on the weights and balance of all passengers traveling on the flight. Front seat upgrades are also subject to availability. There is a upgrade fee of $50.00 per person to confirm the front seats. However, guests are not required to confirm the front seat and may very well end up occupying the front seat. As you stated, someone will sit in the front seat. Our upgrade fee allows our guests to confirm the front seat and not leave it to chance. The upgrade fee option is very popular with our guests. I am sorry you felt cheated by the confirmed upgraded seating. Please understand, you were not required to purchase the confirmed seating. Nevertheless, we appreciate your feedback and hope you enjoyed your time with us."

Fantastic trip to the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam by Helicopter

What an experience.
Is awesome from hotel pickup by limousine to drop off. Driver is 10 mins early and we enjoyed our limo ride.

There are a few pickup stops on the way to the base but is not too bad.

When we get there, we can serve ourselves to the unlimited champagne and waited for the ride.

Fantastic pilot but the photographer is like rushing us to finish the photo before we board. I'm not too surprise with my shoot but I still buy it.

Everything is amazing and will highly recommend to everyone as price is very reasonable compare to other company.

Don't need to shop around as they provided the best price and with many pilots and helicopters. I have seen over 15 there.

Very well received with limousine at the hotel, return helicopter for the grand canyon with small champagne on site. A remake !!

Great experience and wonderful way to see all the bright lights of Las Vegas at night. Complimentary limo pick up, drop off and glass of champagne is included in the price for the City Lights tour.
It was my first time in a helicopter but our pilot made me feel super comfortable as he was obviously very experienced and seemed to loved the job! Would highly recommend.

Had the night flight over the "strip" and downtown. Very profession personnel at the desk. Very skilled in problem solving. One of my colleague got sick last minute and they were open to re-book the flight. The pilot was very prepared and was giving all the information to make the flight enjoyable. We had a picture next to the helicopter (a bit pricey, but very good quality). A tip: spend some bucks more and get the front row seats.. you will enjoy the flight more!

Our tour of the canyon was fabulous and our pilot, Fred was a blast! You can tell he really enjoys what he does. Would highly recommend Sundance. Thanks Fred for the tip on old town Vegas. It was just like you said!

Had a great time on this excursion. We found the pilot to be well informed with a lot of details about Vegas. The Calarodo river boat tour was a little underwhelming for what I was expecting. But over all I really enjoy myself on this excursion

We chose the sunset tour. Best experience ever! Visiting the Grand Canyon from the bottom is so much better than peaking over the rim! Awesome pilot. I was worried we would not be able to see: 6 people to 1 helicopter. I was wrong!

Still an experience i can say I've flown the Vegas strip at night

I forget the name of our Pilot, but this was my first ride in a helicopter, and WHAT an experience. I had heard that helicopter rides were a bit bumpy...but this was smooth as silk. They have two helicopter types that i can tell; we got the Boeing model. The one with the exposed rear rotor, and although it didn't look like their "Sport" model, we were told that this model is the only one rated to land on Mt. Everest! It was able to hold SEVEN people in this thing. We had a party of 6 plus the pilot. We did a tour to the middle of the grand canyon, landed in the middle of NO WHERE and had a beautiful champagne lunch overlooking the canyon from a raised plateau. How do you get better than that? Oh wait, you take off and go into Utah for a 2 hour ATV ride in the Mojave desert! Unbelievable trip.

Absolutely had a blast on the tour + champagne lunch inside the Grand Canyon. We flew over the Hoover Dam and Lake Mead on the way to the Canyon. The views of the Canyon were breathtaking and couldn't have had a better experience. Our pilot John also made the trip fun and exciting for us!

This is a must do if you do it. The scenery is great the pilots are excellent. Champagne lunch on a hot clear day with a limo ride to and from the helicopter airport is TOTALLY worth it.

Great Helicopter flight. The company is very proffesional and we were picked up in a limosine the other companies picked up in a shuttle bus. Tom Tg the pilot did a good job and was very nice. Fantastic to see Las Vegas from above at 10.30 pm and you really get to see the city in the right way.
Can only recommend anyone to try it out.

Was absolutely panicking about doing this! Eventually we started to move, Mario the pilot was excellent and put me at ease somewhat! Got to within 10 minutes of the Canyon and a thunderstorm appeared in the distsnce, safety first so Mario decided we had to turn around, no Canyon as we leave tomorrow :-( Heartbreaking but this review is for the company and they were very good, apologetic and full refund!

Best experience ever. Worth every penny. The pilots are super professional and funny. The tour is the best and if you haven't been yet in a helicopter I would highly recommend it.

I cannot recommend enough the experience that Sundance offers! I spent months deciding whether or not to spend the money on a tour of the Grand Canyon, but I've come away feeling like it was the best money I spent in Vegas. Make sure to book one of the tours that includes landing in the canyon, and bring your camera!

Great experience from the limo ride over to the limo ride back. Champagne for toasting upon arrival, comfy lobby with plenty of seats and tables while waiting, and lockers with keys to store your belongings while on the ride. Friendly and knowledgeable staff made it a great experience.

Fantastic service, knowledgeable pilot and free Dad jokes. Loved every minute of our Grand Canyon flight.

If you want an experience of a lifetime, then take this tour. Pay for the aircraft and seat upgrades. You won't be disappointed. The West Rim Grand Canyon Tour was fabulous. From the time you take off until your final landing, you will be awestruck by the beauty of Nevada and Arizona. The Grand Canyon at sunset brings out the colors of the desert floor and the sides of the canyon.

An unmissable experience, getting to know Las Vegas from the air is impressive

We enjoyed our awesome helicopter ride on the Vegas strip with Pilot Robert. Very professional and took his time to explain his helicopter and how we must follow all safety notes he shared. He flew with such ease and grace. Also the limo ride to location from Magistu was very nice. The guy Tony at the desk serving champagne was very friendly and nice. He took the photos too.

On our way back to our hotel a woman driver of the limo rode very recklessly back to our hotels at a high rate of speed even over speed bumps. I was so sick when I got back from extreme motion sickness from her driving. She was not driving at ease and it was so hot back there. She told us to open the window. It was rushed for no reason. Overall we love our experience and please talk to her about her driving. Thanks for this great experience.

I recently took a tour with Sundance Helicopters on 10/09/2019. It was an excellent experience. The reason I booked the trip with this company was it was the only one that I found that had the Colorado Boat Ride in the package and great reviews. The views of Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, and the Vegas Strip are spectacular. Jake our pilot was the best. Even though he has probably flown the trip 100's of times he made it feel fresh and new. He was careful to explain everything that we were seeing but yet was personable and funny. I think the price was a good deal for what you received. Thank You for making it such a great experience especially to Jake our pilot. I would highly recommend Sundance Helicopters for this tour.

I have to agree with one of the other reviews, if you re sitting on the right side of the helicopter, you don t get to see the Vegas Strip and the helicopter doesn t do a loop around to see it. You re paying a small fortune to take a trip and it should deliver. Also, be mindful of what time you choose to fly. We did an early morning flight and the sun was directly in front of us which obstructed the views and made you roast. The morning tea is average - sweet cookies, some candy and cheese with champagne poured into plastic cups. It s nice to see the Canyon from this angle but I wouldn t pay for the experience again.

Wonderful experience, loved our pilot, and landing on the floor of the Grand Canyon and having lunch, spectacular! Highly recommended bucket list item to add to your things to do!
