Fantastic experience my wife and i enjoyed every moment of it

This took over 4 hours from start to finish. Nothing out of the ordinary here, just a 15 minute long helicopter ride. They clearly didn't care about us, which is terrifying for a company that has your life in their hands.

Here is my experience. We were told we would be picked up in front of our hotel (cosmo) at 7:30 for an 8 something fight, okay. We get out in front of cosmo at 7:30, and wait. 15....25....45 minutes go by, no one comes. We are in contact with the place throughout, texting and calling - they just keep saying "he is coming soon". So we wait. They end up not picking us up until 9... One and a half hours late.

When we get there the flight we were supposed to be on has left, and we have to wait another 45 minutes to get on the next one.

The flight itself is about fifteen minutes long yet somehow concludes at 10:30 (about an hour).

Oh, and a little note about that ride. The helicopter route takes you in a circle around the strip. If you have the poor fortune to have to sit on the outside in the back, opposite the pilot, you don't get to see much. I know because I sat there.. I got to see the residential side of the strip. Not. Very. Interesting.

When we land we head outside, and get into their transportation to take us back to the hotel. Of course, since we had such a fun time getting there, we have a similar experience when we leave.

The limo is packed and we are last on... Which means we should be the first off or else we have to get out every stop to let the next people off. The driver bungles the route and ends up dropping us off dead last, and we have to get out every. Single. Time. To let someone off.

As I finish writing this, it's 15 minutes past 11. For those keeping score, this puts the total experience at about 4 hours... For a 15 minute ride.
So don't book that nice reservation at momofuku anywhere close to this nightmare.

Absolutely fabulous.... very professional and friendly. We were told by many that Sundance is the best and it is. They think about everything - even games whist you're waiting to board. We were picked up and dropped off in a limo which was fun. The helicopter tour itself was obviously the highlight and nothing will prepare you for flying into the canyon. Do it.... you won't be dissapointed!

Incredible experience! Our flight was early in the morning, we got picked up by limo and later with nice pilot Judd (that knows all the facts about Grand Canyon and Vegas) we flew thru beautiful nature and landed right at the bottom of Grand Canyon! We also got breakfast with champagne there with awesome view. Definitely would recommend Sundance heli!!!

Seeing the lights over Vegas at night was incredible. Great way to spend a birthday. 1st time in a helicopter and would love to do it again. They had free champagne and photos to purchase our tour included a limo ride there and back

Use them if you want to visit the Grand Canyon a fantastic trip, very professional, and keenly priced.

Disappointed thought to be 2 in the helico, in the final place behind. We could not fully enjoy the view of Las Vegas. And not even make the pictures we wanted! And not in the language you want!

We had an amazing experience. We flew over the Hoover Dam and into the Grand Canyon.

We scheduled a private tour in July 2020, and it was amazing! Stacy and the pilot made my birthday one to remember! They even got me a cake and champagne!

Amazing tour, this is a must do for all Vegas tourists that doesn't have time to drive to the canyon.

Cons:
- The limousine tour was not comfortable. I get that it's hard driving in Vegas, but slow starts and slow braking is a must when passengers sitting facing to the side.
- When eating lunch in Grand Canyon it was very stressful, the (very friendly pilot) was stressed because of strict time tables. Being stressed while taking off with a helicopter inside Grand Canyon does not sound very safe.

Pros:
- The views were amazing. Even better than we thought it would be.
- Our pilot was the best (Andy?), very friendly and polite. Many fun facts along the way. We felt very safe.
- The helicopter looked good maintained and safe, it was also very comfortable. (Better than the limo ride... Hehe)

This is a must do!

It was an incredible trip! The people at check in were very nice and our pilot Nick was amazing and made the journey a funny and awesome one. The check in area was very cozy and clean. As someone who has never flown before in any kind of aircraft, the people at Sundance Helicopters made my first trip into the sky a memory I won't forget. If you want to take a helicopter trip, use Sundance, it's totally worth it!

If I knew I'll be having a middle seat I wouldn't choose to go on this tour ... it wasn't enjoyable and a bus trip would be more fun than a middle seat

The initial thought of this experience was outstanding. When the limo came to pick us up after running behind the driver didnt even bother to get out of the car to greet us. We got crammed into a Helicopter and u was not allowed to ride next to the person I went with. We were separated. A lady went to the bathroom right before we took off so our time at the actual Grand Canyon was cut shorter than the rest of the group. Then on the limo ride home the driver was driving so fast he was literally throwing us around in the back. I realize the limo service is probably contracted out, but they still represented Sundance and I was just very disappointed. The Grand Canyon is an amazing site to see though so definitely go on this trip if you can. Hopefully, you will have a better experience then we did

Had booked a flight with this company well in advance. Two days before the flight we received an email to advise all flights on our date had been cancelled and asked us to choose another date.
We sent an email asking for another date but didn't hear anything back so called them. They then said that the email was sent in error and our original flight was still on. Great.
Flight day comes and we are waiting for our 6:50am pickup but nobody shows up. We get a phone call at 7:20am telling us the flight had been cancelled due to the president coming and the area becoming a no fly zone.
This is something they must have known about in advance as it was in the media days ago and we didn't get advised until half an hour after we were due to be picked up.
If we had been given prior notice we could have chosen a different date but that was no longer an option as they are now full. We now have to wait ten days for a refund.
Really poor communication and nobody seems to know what's going on.
Flew from New Zealand to Vegas for my wife's birthday so she could cross this off her bucket list. Now have booked through a different company.

Great experience and friendly staff. Beautiful views of the Grand Canyon, Hoover dam and both the new and old Vegas strips and a small quick picnic in the canyon to top it off...this was good value for money to me. The collection by limo was also a nice touch!

A must see experience. A must do in vegas. Sundance is the best.

Disaster
My fiance gave me this little helicopter ride over the Vegas Strip at night. We were 6 passengers with the pilot.
1 hour late to start. In the helico the tour lasts less than 10 minutes but the worst is that we were the couple at the back of the driver and we had NO VIEW on the strip from where we were. No pictures, no memories because we had seen nothing unfortunately, unlike the other 2 couples on board.
At the end, we made by our dissatisfaction because we paid like the other passengers and did not see anything.
Money thrown by the window for once, this is the thing we have most regretted throughout our road trip.
A pure disappointment, a total failure. No understanding on the part of the team, nothing.

Wow, best experience ever, brilliant pilot, loved it, well worth the price.

Glad they finally closed. That's what they get price gouging locals and thinking they only needed tourist. Their business was failing before the covid19..

This was supposed to be a wonderful experience for my wife and I, but instead it turned out to be a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. We paid $250 for a 10min helicopter tour over Las Vegas Strip on New Years eve, were picked up in a limo and greeted with champagne... everything was great EXCEPT the part that we really wanted to be great - the HELICOPTER RIDE. The pilot set us in the back seats behind the copilot seat (a very important detail!), and it was all good, we though OK we're not that lucky to be seated in the front seats, but at least we'll still have a chance to see Las Vegas Strip from the side window (my wife was sitting there). Turned out the pilot never even gave us a chance to see the Strip from our side (copilot side on the back seat in the chopper). Only the people in the front seats and those seating in the back BUT BEHIND THE PILOT were the ones privileged enough to see the Strip as it should and as it was promised... Instead of the Strip all we were able to see were the suburbs of Las Vegas and the houses around... Needless to say the ride was one bitter experience for us, a "good" way to get into the new year...

This is for the Las Vegas strip tour. My experience might not be the norm but it is my experience to share:

1. Late to pick up. It was supposed to be an 8:15 pick up so we went down there around 8:02. 8:16 I texted Sundance and they said the driver will be there shortly. 8:35 I texted Sundance to find out what's going on and was told the driver missed our pick up. We waited for another 20 minutes to get picked up.
2. Delayed ride. Because of the delayed picked up, we couldn't get into the 9 o'clock tour, we had to go to the 9:45 one.
3. Poor seat for photography. Back right side is the worst for taking pictures or video. Try not to sit there if you have a professional camera like me.
4. Last to drop off. Not only were we late for pick up, we were dropped off last even when our hotel was the closest one--Cosmopolitan.

The front desk person did try to compensate the late pick up with a free photo. However, we don't care about that.

Took us 3 hours for a 15 minutes helicopter ride.

Well worth the money! We took the helicopter ride to the Grand Canyon and it was incredible. I had only seen the Grand Canyon from above and landing on the bottom was a whole new perspective.

I did the city lights helicopter tour which was $79.00 per person. Very short ride did not have fun at all, it was 8 minutes. Did not take you near any of the buildings and people sitting in the back seat could not see anything. It was a waste of money.

We got a terrible 8 minute ride. I made a video of the entire ride. I asked the pilot why is was 8 minutes and not the 12-15 minutes as advertised. He said "Ask customer service"....I then went inside and asked customer services....he replied "i have no control over that".....I then asked for the manager...the manager replied with "sorry you didnt feel it was long enough" I said i have it on video.....I asked her to watch the video...She declined.... It was sooooooooooooo not worth the money...not even close......this company stinks

If you want to get married in Las Vegas, they are the best for the weeding, very professional staff , much appreciate for efforts, thank you very much to our Minister Lauren, our photographer Marshall , and to the pilot Daniel, great team ...make our day wonderful!!!! Thank you

Lovely ride for Grand Canyon and they picked up us from our hotel with a Limousine.

My wife and I took our son for his 21rst Birthday {9/22/18} to Las Vegas. We never had been in a helicopter before so we only wanted a short trip. We did the tour of the Vegas strip at night and it was incredibly spectacular. The person that checked us in was terrific. She noticed it was his birthday when checking our ID s and gave him a terrific gift. The pilot was extremely friendly. It s an absolute must.

Travel to the Grand Canyon of the colorado, very well and highly recommended, for the treatment, as for the driving of the helicopter

The ride was awesome but too brief...about 13-15 minutes.
After getting off the helicopter they were rushing us to get inside. Boo. Luckily we managed to snap a couple of pictures before going in.

What an experience!! Simply blown away. Our guide was very knowledgeable

Our flight of the strip was amazing. This was all thanks to Albert the pilot, Albert. He really is a credit to the crew. Made us feel at ease. The tour commentary was funny and informative. He definitely made our day. Thank You.

Incredible view of the Las Vegas strip, our pilot Rusty was Great!

This was an awesome experience and my wife absolutely loved it. There are quite a few helicopter tours out there on the Vegas strip so finding the right one can be difficult. I m glad we went with Sundance. They picked us up in a limo van. I was able to change my pickup location same day, so I loved their flexibility. The limo was very nice and added a nice touch. The check in was ok as they were running a bit behind but with aviation that is to be expected sometimes. They offer a glass of champagne but it s not the greatest. The flight itself is awesome. It can depend on where you sit in the helicopter which is determined by weight and balance. We had some amazing views and it was an amazing flight. The staff was awesome, highly recommend this tour company.

Save yourself time, a huge headache and money and DO NOT BOOK with SUNDANCE. I booked a helicopter tour for my mom and I while we were in Las Vegas for a business conference. I called on Thursday afternoon and booked the trip for the following day at 12:00. While on the phone I asked the representative numerous times what time will my mom and I be pick up tomorrow for our tour. I was told that we would receive a phone call the following morning informing us what time we would be picked up. I thought it was strange how the representative was unable to provide me with a pick up time since our tour was less than 24 hours away. At 10:15 the next morning I get a phone call from the shuttle driver saying that he has been at the hotel waiting for the past 20 minutes and he was asking where we were. When I received this phone call I was very confused because I never received the promised phone call earlier from Sundance telling me what time my mom and I were going to be picked up. I explained to Ben the shuttle driver that I never got a call this morning saying what time you were arriving. My mom and I were walking back to the hotel when Ben called us. After hanging up with Ben I called the office and asked why I never received the phone call earlier that morning as I was promised with the pick up time. The representative that I spoke to was very short and rude with me explaining that they never told me that they would call me the next morning with a pick up time. I specifically asked when I booked the appointment the previous day how does the pick up time get coordinated, I was told I would receive a phone call with our pick up time. I would not recommend this group for your helicopter tours. I was UNABLE to get a refund due to their lack of communication for never calling me as they promised. Sundance did not follow through with a phone call like they said they would do. Do not book with Sundance Helicopters, they are un professional and their communication and customer service is horrendous.

The drive to the helicopter was pleasant and nice. Hector was very accommodating to my disability. We get to the helicopter and get checked in and all the staff were happy to help. Jake, the pilot, the other employee and my sisters helped me get in the helicopter, laughing while doing it! It was very hard to get in but they were very patient with me. The flight was beautiful and Jake did a wonderful job of it!! It was my first time flying and I felt safe the whole time! Even though there were 5 of us on the helicopter Jake did a great job of making sure everyone was okay. All around a good tour!

What an amazing flight over Vegas. Pilots were fun and entertaining as well!

I booked a flight as a wedding gift to my husband and I. After booking a 12:00 pm flight, I was notified that they did not have that time available and that they rebooked me for a 9:45. This was the new years day and knowing I wanted to catch extra sleep, I called and they rebooked me for a 1:00 pm flight (which was a downgraded flight tour). The day of the flight, I called to tell them that we would not be taking the limo and would drive there, the individual updated the booking and said just be sure to arrive by 1:00. We arrived by 1:00, but were informed that they decided to leave without us because the limo arrived with others before us. They offered another downgraded tour and said they could not do the original tour because of the weather and a cloud. Then another individual was checking in for their flight and it was good to go (the place where they told us they could not go due to the weather). We finally were accepting the alternative tour they had offered us and then they told that they could not do it because they would need to have another two people go. Very disappointing.

Just take a look at there maintenance and safety records. The other tour operators are head and shoulders above this place!

The worst helicopter experience because it didn't happen!!!! This company is so unprofessional we came from Australia to Las Vegas very excited to visit the Grand Canyon so we had booked a trip months in advance to secure a date. When we arrived in Las Vegas we called the company the day before to confirm as it says to do so, when we spoke to the lady on the phone she said she was so sorry and she was "about to call us" to say that the helicopter was taken in for maintenance and wouldn't be available tomorrow as booked, however she did rebook us and upgrade us for free which all seems great until the next scheduled day came and we were waiting to be picked up, when they didn't show we called them and they said they had rebooked us for a week and a half out! We wouldn't be there for that long! they tried to say they would get us in the next day blah blah blah they were all talk and just didn't follow through again! DONT TRUST THIS COMPANY!

Over priced and over rated.

I waited about a good 2 hours. The TV in the lobby was looped to a 3 minute video. So you better hope your phone has a good charge on it, you'll be waiting there for a while.

Once finally being called, we were seated and buckled quickly and off we went. It was an evening tour, so seeing all the city lights would be cool, right? Wrong. I had the worst seat. I figured in a helicopter there couldn't be a "worst seat". I was hugely mistaken. The pilot went in a circle, but didn't change angles or direction to give people on both sides of the helicopter a good view.

Id only give 1 star, but they got another one for a safety guy being polite and showing empathy for my frustration. I'd still never use the company again.

We really loved the whole experience, they picked us up in a limo at the hotel. The pilot Adam has been very nice and made us feel comfortable all the time. I asked my girlfriend to marry me whilst on flight, what a magic moment!

Amazing experience, would highly recommend.
We flew with Sundance and had to return to base due to a storm over the Canyon. We were really disappointed but Sundance offered us a refund or a reschedual, we rescheduled and it s was worth the wait and the money.
Sundance looked after us from start to finish, I would not hesitate to use them again in the future. Thank you Sundance.

Probably the funnest thing I have done in Las Vegas yet!

Had a pleasant flight over the strip with our pilot Lee, it was very smooth and enjoyable. Unfortunately we could not enjoy ourselves after the flight for more than a few moments. Right after our flight landed the automatic fire at Mandalay Bay began. A crowd of concert goers who had just escaped the shooting immediately came to the hanger in search of safety.

I am writing this review to mention the employees of Sundance Helicopters remained so calm and professional throughout the entire emergency. We were moved to a secure location behind locked doors in the hanger to remain safe. The staff were quick to assist those that were injured or terrified, they brought out water and snacks for everyone, and they arranged safe transport for us to eventually egress to the university.

They should be recognized for handling this terrible situation so professionally, they had as little information as we did at the time, and they stayed calm. I highly recommend anyone looking for a flight around Vegas consider Sundance, you will be in very good hands. Thank you

Excellent tour given by excellent pilots. The landing a couple thousand feet below the rim of the canyon for a picnic made this the best part of my visit to Las Vegas. Choose Sundance for your helicopter tour!

Excellent service, great views from the flight. Very professional & friendly staff.

I have mixed feelings about this event. It cannot be that the service has exclusive in its name and offers, among others pickup from the hotel and the hotel in a limousine, while the limousine runs from hotel to hotel and packs guests like a city bus. What is this exclusive ???
In addition, they do not show the most beautiful parts of the Canyon at all, but a tourist cluster of the SkyWalk type, which is in no way worth visiting. And the fact that they don't allow photography on this observation deck is embarrassing, but it's not Sundance's fault anymore. Colorado Cruise - Failure. 7 minutes with the flow and 10 back.
Mixed feelings are leveled by the pilot Tara - absolutely fantastic girl :-))) and she flies wonderfully with her.
