I put a deposit on a truck that was only listed on the internet for less than 5 min. The salesman said he tagged it. He calls me the next day to tell me they sold it. Very disappointed! I will never buy a vehicle from here!

Our day at Sundance was long and arduous. This is actually a good thing as it shows they were willing to do what they could to meet us somewhere in between our requests, offers and counter-offers. In the end we really appreciate Keith "Pink" Floyd, our salesman, for his efforts in getting us out the door with a car we both can enjoy for years to come.

It was kind of fun watching and experiencing the process one goes through when trying to make a deal, sealing the deal, getting financed and then having someone personally show you the car and how to use its features. The personal touch at the end of the sale was actually unexpected and very appreciated.

We even met Terry Hank's, the owner, during the offer stage.

Thanks Sundance staff.

Everyone has their preconceived notions about Sundance. They are an old school used (and some new) car sales place. They will dance around numbers and offer every method to pad their bottom line. If you focus on total price and bring your own financing you'll probably be fine, but just be aware that they'll still try to talk you into extra services, warranties, and still push their financing to try to wheel the bottom line into their favor. Still, the staff is friendly, professional and helpful and they do really want to help you find the right car for you and your price.

I was looking for a new vehicle for a week straight and it was becoming quite the headache. Chad Decker was able to find me a vehicle that fit all my desires and get the deal done when I never thought the search would end. I d highly recommend seeing Chad at Sundance Chevrolet.

Extremely disappointed...my son went and bought his first car here...2011 Buick lucerne, it had 100,000 miles on it...he had it for less than 2 months and he is having to put a new transmission in it. He wanted a good reliable car to go back and forth from school and work and now he is putting a new transmission in it, which is difficult with going to college. Just expected more from this dealership.

BUYERS BEWARE!! We had been warned by just about everyone we know to stay away from Sundance. Seriously will NEVER EVER do business with Sundance again. We really thought we did our homework and trusted these folks....You've been warned -

I bought 2006 Cobalt last May and by June it was giving me so much trouble I was afraid to drive it. I'm stuck with it because I need a vehicle and I cannot afford anything else now. I saved money for 2 years for this car and all that I got out of it was a death trap. I've taken it in to have it looked at and no one seems to be able to find anything wrong with it. Sure, they were nice enough people when I went there, but I have a strong feeling they knew they were selling me a lemon. It had low mileage and seemed like a decent deal, but now I realize I was completely ripped off. I will never go to Sundance again or recommend it to anyone.

Dan and the Sundance crew worked hard to finance us and Dan made sure I was going to get the car I wanted that fit my demands. Answered all the questions I had and made sure I felt good about my purchase. Dan Pahl never pressured me into a purchase and made it an pleasant experience.

I've purchased many vehicles in my life, and recently purchased a new 2017 chevy Cruze from Randall Doine. I couldn't be happier with my overall experience working with him and the staff at Sundance Chevrolet. They went above and beyond our expectations. Randall even stayed after hours to make sure that our purchase was complete and to the fullest potential of what we needed. Thanks for all your help Randall, and to the staff of Sundance Chevrolet!

I would say my overall experience with Sundance was a positive one. I knew the vehicle I was looking for, and they had it online. Fact is, the vehicle I was interested in, had a couple things I asked that Sundance take care of in order for me to sign the deal. I worked with Lou, who was awesome, he s personable, relatable, and knowledgeable, definitely went the extra mile for me. He took care of all my requests, and kept the process of purchasing a vehicle a convienant one.

For years, now, my wife and I have dealt with Sundance Chevrolet and Ed Fernandez. The people at Sundance are friendly, helpful and professional. Ed is more like a good friend than just our salesman. We WILL be back again.

I recently bought a car from Sundance in Grand Ledge, working with August Chaffee. I would definitely say that he was hands down the best sales man. We told him what we wanted as far as vehicle and price wise and he made it happen. He is very trustworthy, and great with open communication. He is professional, and polite with a sence of humor that seemed to take the edge off of the anxiety of buying a new car. August went above and beyond for us, he located a specific vehicle, and just really gave us a great buying experience. Also, a big thanks to the finance manager for working with us very well, and explaining everything smoothly.

Sundance is the place to go, and August Chaffee is the person to see!

By far the best car buying experience I have had in a long time! Talked with Kendahl over the phone a few time before we came to the dealership. He started looking for what we wanted right away. He did not try to put us into something we didn't want. Thank you Kendahl for such a great experience!

Since my son has had such good dealings with Sundance salesman Troy Andrews, I alerted Troy that we were looking for a used S-10 pick-up truck. Sundance had a used S-10 posted on their web page, but it was located at their St. Johns dealership, so Troy had it brought down to Grand Ledge for us to look at. With the truck in Grand Ledge, my wife and I went to see Troy and the vehicle. We drove it, liked it, and Troy made us a deal we could not refuse. Troy is very knowledgeable about vehicles and the workings of the dealership. There was no hard sell or pressure to buy, just straight forward facts. We feel we received a very good deal on this truck. The whole process took less than 2 hours from the time we arrived at the dealership, to the test drive, and then finalizing the paper work. We would not hesitate to recommend Troy to friends and other family members.

The dealership as a whole was welcoming and helpful and my salesman, Brian Perkins, was wonderful. I will do business with Brian again. The process was smooth and he was clear about everything. I never felt like he was trying to pull one over on me which I have felt in the past with other dealerships and salesmen.

Seen a deal on-line, placed a $50 hold on Sunday because I didn't have time until Tuesday to see the van. Went to see the van and there was body damage, which was not mentioned on-line and the photo angle of that side was too difficult to see. Took it for a test drive, A/C blower motor bearings were shot. Car was not detailed either before viewing. Salesman jacked up the price above good value to do the repairs that should have been done before listing the van. I got the price down to $400 above the advertised price (pretty much covered insurance and registration transfer). Schedule the service work to get repairs done above. Was given the keys after five and a half hours of sitting around the used car dealership, yes 5.5 hours. Car had less than of an eighth of a tank of gas, so I had to fill it up so I could get back home. I was also told I would not get a loaner car during the repair, but got one after making a few phone calls. Salesman was late to work the day I brought it in for repairs. Took about 4 days to get repair complete. Upon receiving the van, it did not get the promised oil change, also the A/C actuator was broken for the passenger side (always hot). I called the salesman about this new issue, who said they would "look into it and call me back". After 3 hours I called back, no progress and said he was leaving early and would call me Saturday. I contacted the service manager, who handled everything. Got the van in Saturday to get the needed repair and oil change. So 4 trips from Grand Rapids and a bunch of hassle, my family has a van at dealership market value. I was not compensated for miles, no fill ups, no discounts. Stay away. I will not go back. The customer service person called me once to get my opinion on my purchase, left me a voicemail. I tried to call back several time, but my call was never returned.

This is the third vehicle I've purchased at Sundance, but my very first time leasing and my salesman, Troy Andrews is always top notch with service, professionalism and patience. Sundance has always treated me well; I will continue to be a loyal customer and recommend my friends and family to go see Troy for any of their auto purchasing needs! Thanks Sundance Family, especially Troy!

Took car into body shop to have repairs done. Was supposed to get a new Traverse to drive while in shop as I am interested in buying one. When dropping off car a week after appointment was made, was told no new car was available and because other people hadn't picked up finished cars no newer vehicles were available. I did not want to be without a car for 9 days! Waited and low and behold they came up with a "Sundance" special. Had to wait while they aired up tire! Should have known right there something was wrong! The body shop guy was very firm about my taking the car or a ride home. I feel he was a bully and an abuser of the elderly! First day out had to stop to have the tire fixed. The guy in the service department told me when they got the car back they would change the tires because of the conditions of them! Boy did this make me feel safe! Went to see the body shop guy while I was there and he told me wrong parts were ordered.... And that it was my insurance company's fault. Now this same body shop man took the same pictures and info as my insurance company... But HE blames them and dismissed me like I was an idiot! Guess elderly and a woman is 2 strikes against me!! I am afraid to drive the car as it not only leaks oil, but makes a thumping sound after I stop... Think it is transmission... Tried talking to John Visarelli who is the GM of Sundance. He says he'd call me back... Didn't happen .. Tried to talk to Terry Hanks but the girls were busy taking calls they didn't have time to help! You know I just wanted to be treated like a person and not an idiot! But there is nothing you can do as even the owner and general manager won't help, which means people will continue to be treated like this. I call it elder abuse! First by the body shop, then Mr Hanks, and then the General manager who says he would get back to me! SHAME on you all!!

I had a hitch placed on my car and when it was returned their was a huge gauge in the steering wheel. I reported it right then to the service dept who took pictures and advised I would be contacted by a supervisor. I was never contacted by a supervisor. I had to call twice. Where a supervisor starting with the letter J accused me of placing the gauge and hung up on me. I had to go through three people before someone told me that supervisor would contact me back. They never did. I called again and was told that they did not place the gauge and that it was normal wear and tear. I am not sure how a gauge is normal wear and tear. I will never do business with them again.

Bought a 2015 Truck last week. Just to have it break down on the way home. Dealership was closed by this time. Waited 1 hour 45 minutes for a flatbed truck to get our truck. We let Sundance know what happened but GM took the truck to the nearest dealer. So as of right now no one has called to check in on us or how the truck is going. They want their money over nighted from the credit union. So thank you for the inconvenience.

Great!

Traveling to look for a new vehicle can be a scary yet fun time for any family. Recently I had family travel to Michigan from Indiana to check out leasing a vehicle and we ended up at Sundance Chevrolet. Randall Doine was a very knowledgeable salesman and was willing to do anything to answer our questions. Let's just say we happily drove away with two new vehicles and couldn't be more thankful for the help and courtesy of Sundance Chevrolet and the staff.

A very disappointing experience from start to fini...

A very disappointing experience from start to finish. I went into the parts department to get an estimate on a replacement piece of trim for my vehicle. An estimate was provided and I was told I could call back when I wanted them to move forward with the part purchase. I did so I believe the week of Christmas. I was told that the part would likely be in the following Monday (after Christmas) and that he would call me to let me know and then we could book the actual appointment. I did not receive a call on that Monday or Tuesday. I had to call them and the lady (Rachel?) said that the part had come in and asked if I wanted to schedule the appointment. I was very surprised when she told me that the earliest that I could schedule an appointment for was January 11th. So my first issue with this experience is that this should have been mentioned up front and that I should have been given the option to set the appointment when I called and had them order the part versus waiting nearly 3 weeks before I could have the work done.

The morning of my appointment went smoothly enough. I dropped off the vehicle at 8am and waited in the main waiting area while the work was done, even had a quick exchange with Terry Hanks himself about the weather. The estimate said it would take 1.8 hours. I was pleasantly surprised when I was called at 9:05 and told my car was ready. I walked back to the parts department and the nice lady provided me with the paperwork. I noticed immediately that the cost was exactly what was put on the estimate. I stopped her at that point and asked why I was paying for 1.8 hours of labor when it only took 1 hour. She began to explain to me something about how they pay the mechanics when she was interrupted by another man. His tone was defensive, which just made me ask more questions. I was merely trying to understand why I would pay for the estimated amount of time versus the actual time. Without receiving any educational response on the matter, he pointed out that they had already 'cut me a deal' when I came in for the initial estimate in December (I was given $32/hour labor cost estimate instead of what he said would have been $50). He voluntarily gave me that deal because I had owned the car for 6 months and because I had bought it from the sister business (Sundance GMC/Buick up in St. Johns). As a final matter-of-fact point he said that he would only charge me for one hour but that he would charge me at the $50/hour rate instead. Once he blurted this out, he had the audacity to sit down in his chair and roll his chair up to his desk, which is CONVENIENTLY located BEHIND A FILING CABINET.

The fact that he wouldn't have a calm conversation with me and actually get on his feet and walk to the counter where the lady and I had started the conversation simply blows my mind. Clearly, this individual is not meant to be in front of actual customers or maybe simply isn't prepared to handle any adversity whatsoever (though I don't feel asking questions is adversity). I view this as an opportunity where, if he could have provided me with some education, I could have thanked him and happily paid what was put together. Ultimately, I decided not to put the lady through the grief and paid $32/hour labor for 1.8 hours, but the entire experience has me so turned off that I have no desire to ever return to Sundance Chevrolet for any service or part needs, especially not with several competitors in town that can provide the same service and have an adult conversation about the matter.

I purchased a used car in July and less than two weeks later, the car broke down in traffic and the check engine light came on. The transmission had failed. I had to have it towed to the dealership. The dealership was not helpful in answering my calls and whoever was answering the phone would cut me off or transfer me in mid-sentence. I m unsure of why my vehicle was inspected the day of purchase but unable to notice a failing transmission. I had to leave several voicemails to have someone return my call. Fortunately, my transmission was under manufacturer warranty. After picking my car up from the transmission repair, the coolant tank cracked and began to leak. This was two repairs within three weeks of purchasing the car. I also noticed that several staff members at the dealership were not wearing masks. However, Ron Clark in service was very helpful and good to work with. I m grateful for the service that Ron provided and hope the rest of the dealership would follow his lead. I believe the car is in good condition now thanks to Ron and his service.

August was very helpful right from the start. I was in desperate need of a reliable and safe vehicle. He was extremely patient and knowledgeable. The original plan was to have my dad co-sign for me, but due to my credit score, that didn't work out. August took the time to work everything out and was able to finance a vehicle for me under my dad's name alone. He answered all of our questions and took the time to explain all options and the final sale agreement. I was impressed!
If you are looking for a new ride and an honest salesman, GO SEE AUGUST at Sundance in Grand Ledge.

I loved that I was able to walk in, say what I wanted in a car, and was given not just 2 options like at other dealerships but 20 options. It was great to have such a vast selection and not have to sacrifice anything I wanted in a car. Highly recommend!

(Would be zero but wouldn't let me.) Tired of long drive to look at vehicles that really are not for sale. They are going to auction and they "forgot" to pull off the lot. Then look at you like, now what do you want to do? I will tell you, go buy a car from somewhere else.

What a great experience purchasing a new car at Sundance Chevy. Peter Tierney was a pleasure to work with and he sure made the process of buying a new car very easy. I walked through the door and was greeted with a friendly salesperson who made sure I found my salesperson Peter. When I was ready to see my new Traverse I was introduced to a person from the service dept., he made sure I new about any new features and helped me set up OnStar he was knowledgeable and pleasant. Overall I am very satisfied with this dealership and will recommend them to my family and friends.

My very first vehicle purchase from a dealer was done here and I couldn't have asked for better service. I didn't get what I originally wanted, but my dealer, Ryan, found me an even better deal on another truck and I am beyond happy.

The place is awesome, I love the ranch house feel of the building. They have a great selection of used vehicles to choose from. Later down the road, I'm gonna look at a Dodge Challenger here.

The commercials are not all fluff, these guys are great. Speaking of which, I got to see the one guy from the commercials. I recognized him from his voice, it was awesome.

I made a one hour drive to do business with Sundance and I don't regret a second of any of it.

I had my Cadillac sent to the body shop to have a job done and it took them 3 months and 2 days to complete the job. After I got my Cadillac back I realized the must have been using it for a personal shop vehicle. My car had other parts from other cars on the inside and also office supplies for Sundance. My drivers door is junk. They didn t put my door speaker back inside and also now every time I close my door I hear metal on glass. Had no problem taking $3600 from my insurance but told me to look at my door it would cost me $200... I ve bought 10 plus vehicles from the Sundance Ranch and I ll never buy another one.. worst body work I ve ever seen!

We purchased a vehicle from Sundance for our then ...

We purchased a vehicle from Sundance for our then 16 year old son in 2018. We were told that it was a lease turn in and it had 20,000 miles, which we thought was perfect!
Recently, my 18 year son s vehicle was parked and the bumper was slightly side swiped so we put in an insurance claim. During the inspection the mechanic with 30+ years noticed a slight gap on the bumper which the average person wouldn t noticed so he looked in the trunk pulled back the fabric and the vehicle has been in a crash and it appears fillers, sheet metal and a new bumper was put on the vehicle. I contacted Sundance immediately and was advised that they bought the car from an auction, but the 2016 Cruze comes with a spare tire which we discovered during the mechanics inspection.
Why would a representative of Sundance who inspects vehicles which again we were told originally was a lease turn in not inspect the vehicle to see if the spare tire was present which would have revealed the coverup. We requested the Car Fax report and no accidents shown. We also know that a lease turn in would have required full coverage and an inspection from the dealership and they would have checked for a missing tire......They sold us the vehicle for 13,000. I will never purchase a vehicle from this dealership again and can t honestly say that they didn t buy this car and do something shady in their body shop that burned down right after they sold us this vehicle. Karma is coming for the people who know their practices and continue to work there. I would give them a 0 if I could and I also have photos! This discovery occurred in June 2020!

My car buying experience at Sundance Chevrolet was a 5 star experience! This week, both my son and my daughter purchased a used vehicle from Sundance - combined they spent more than $22k. My son picked his car up on Monday, and on Wednesday, one of his tires blew. He brought the car to us, we own an auto repair shop in Grand Rapids. All FOUR of the tires are damaged and unsafe for driving - all of them are completely bald and two of them had belts hanging out of them. He called Sundance to see what they could do since it had been only two days - and they told him he should have checked them before he bought the car. Granted, he probably should have - but as a kid, buying his first car, sometimes he's not going to notice everything. We come into contact with hundreds of people weekly, and you can BET, we will tell everyone we meet not to go to Sundance. Regardless of whether or not the buyer should have inspected the car, the dealer has a responsibility to NOT sell a vehicle that is unsafe - and then not stand behind their damaged garbage. Complete bull way of doing business; if we ran our business this way, we would not be in business. This is the kind of unethical practice that gives dealerships bad names. And the 5 stars I gave the salesperson, Eric Lopez, can go out the window. As our point of contact, and as someone who's supposed to be working for us - he could have pushed for it. They got our money. But they won't get another sale from us. We've already spread the word to local businesses. As a side note not one of the vehicles with advertised sale prices is available in their lot. So, buyer beware.

We went to Sundance as a last place dealer to help our 18 year old daughter purchase a car. All the other dealers we tried simply didn't have a car in the price range we wanted to be in. Oh, most were willing to check the auctions for us and get back to us, but we needed the car now, not later.Sundance was able put her into a car that was newer, clean and low miles for exactly the price we were willing to spend on it. I do mean exactly, not a penny more then we were willing to spend. It turned out to be a very pleasant experience.

My husband called on the deal that is on T.V. all the time on the Chevy Truck. For leasing. Anyway to make a long story short...IT IS FALSE ADVERTISING!!!!! The payment isn't $187.00, its $320.00. I was a bit skeptical about coming to a dealership...

I was a bit skeptical about coming to a dealership as I've always been wary of salesman, but after my car was totaled by a deer and the insurance payout was enough for a newer vehicle, I decided to try Sundance. I would not have done it any other way. The salesman, Brent Miller, was helpful and found me a vehicle after working with me all day. He pointed out flaws in certain cars (transmission was buggy on one) and stated he was trying to sell me a car that would last. He also didn't pressure me about buying anything. The followiby days after my visit I only got one phone call to touch base. Again, no pressure. I ended up getting 1,000 off a Toyota matrix and getting less than blue book because of a small and hard to notice rust spot. If you need a new vehicle, head to Sundance.
