Great service department! I recently had to sad bring in my car after a couple months of purchasing it. The service department was very helpful and knowledgeable about the process. Even though they were not able to fix the problem, due to updates needed at a Ford dealer, they were very considerate and helpful.

I put $100 down on a car that they told me they would take to the shop for repairs. They told me the car was mine with the $100 down,they wouldn't sell it.
Well,they sold it,didn't even have the courtesy to let me know it was sold.
This happened in June,after multiple calls,no money refunded.
At this point, I will file a dispute through my bank,and take it to whatever distance I need to take it.
It's not the money, it's the principle.
So far this business seems very untrustworthy.
Potential customers beware.

updated - Bought/leased my 5th vehicle from here today. Have gone through the same salesperson (Brad) and he was very fair, honest, and helpful throughout the process once again.

previous review - 4th car purchased (2017 Volt) from Brad M in the last 10 years (all were great cars, just added vehicles or replaced ones I was done with). Very happy with every purchase and feel confident I am getting a good deal on the car I want (not pushed towards something I dont). Highly recommend Sundance, and specifically Brad (he's at the lot across from Fun Tyme).

If I were reviewing just the sales portion of our experience, I would have easily given five stars. However, we had a pretty disappointing experience with the service department. The process of purchasing our vehicle with Kevin was relatively smooth and pleasant. We were able to drive away with it that same day, with the understanding that we would bring it back for service (detail, oil change, new windshield, new tires). We were told to make the appointment a few days in advance so they could make sure to have a loaner car available since the windshield and tires were to be completed by outside companies. My husband called on a Thursday to make an appointment for the following Wednesday. He drove an hour from Grand Rapids and showed up on time to the appointment, only to have to wait for over an hour for them to get a loaner car ready because the service department had not let our salesman know we were coming. We were told that it would take up to a couple days to complete all the services since they were having to send it out to do the glass and tires, so we appreciated that they offered us a loaner car. By Friday, we hadn t heard anything, so my husband called to check the status. We were told that the in-house detailing and oil change had been completed, but they were still waiting for the glass and tires. We weren t given any estimate on when it would be done at this point, or if appointments had been made to complete the services. After hearing nothing for another three days, my husband called to get another update. He was told the same thing...still waiting on the glass and tires. The next time he called (a couple days later), he was told that the person responsible for our car in the service department was out for the day and he would call us the next day. We did not receive a call the next day, so we finally reached out to Kevin, our salesman. Thankfully, Kevin took it upon himself to make sure the services were completed. He gave us regular updates, saying he personally took it to get the glass and tires done. He was very forthcoming with updates and very apologetic for the service department s mistakes. He was even accommodating enough to have the car delivered to our home in Grand Rapids on Monday evening. So although our experience with and the level of service from Kevin personally was above and beyond expectations, I just can t honestly offer 5 stars because of the way the service department absolutely dropped the ball. I understand that this is a big dealership and there are a lot of moving parts, but I feel that our car would have sat in the lot indefinitely had we not gotten Kevin involved. It was obvious that no one in the service department had made any effort to contact the glass or tire shops to get those services scheduled. I would have thought that four days of notice when we initially made the appointment would have been more than enough time to get those services scheduled. Again, I can t say enough positive things about our experience with Kevin and everything he s done to make it right. I just cannot believe that they don t have a better system in place for service with how many vehicles they sell.

Called ahead on a vehicle got there and was highly disappointed in the vehicle. It was in terrible condition and way overpriced. The salesman we had, Ryan Gardner, was terrible to work with. He acted like he was very uninterested in selling us a vehicle and was not the least bit friendly. Seemed more bothered by our presence then anything. To top it off he said he could get us approved for a total of 2 vehicles out of the whole lot. So out of thousands of vehicles only 2 were ok to get approved? One being the one we called on and the other one they recommended to us. Would not waste my time going there again and if you are considering it do yourself a favor and do not use Ryan Gardner as your sales rep.

Unfortunately I have not had the best experience at Sundance. I bought a 2012 Jeep Compass a little over a month ago and instantly started noticing water built up in the back seat on the floor. After informing my sales person of the problem, I took a couple of weeks to make sure that nothing had been spilled, no windows left open, etc. After continuously noticing water buildup after rainfall, I had the vehicle looked at to see what exactly was wrong. Two different seals on the right side need to be replaced on my vehicle totaling over $300 all together, before I've even made my first payment! Again I called my salesperson who only offered me the 15% off parts and service (given to all people who buy used cars for the first month) I am very disappointed by the lack of understanding and service from Sundance, as I feel this is not my fault and the vehicle was sold to me in this condition without my knowledge. I don't expect a lot, as I understand accidents and mistakes are made, but I at least thought that Sundance would own up to this error, and replace these seals to keep a customer coming back. Doubtful that I will go to Sundance for any further service after this unfortunate situation, unless something can be resolved. I would appreciate the opportunity to speak with a person of management to see if we can reach a mutual agreement as far as getting this problem fixed.

UPDATE: Called Sundance Service to set up the appointment and was told by service that they had no idea why Cody would have ME call them and that I would receive a call back by the end of day to set up an appointment to get the leak fixed. NEVER received a call back, already have an appointment somewhere else, taking my business elsewhere. Buyer beware! Service is great until they make a mistake that they don't want to pay for. TERRIBLE after the sale customer service.

I came into Sundance with my mom because I just started my new year at college and I desperately needed a reliable car. My salesman Lou made the process super stress free. If I showed an interest in a car, he made sure to try his best to get it for me or find a car similar to it. He communicated with me throughout the whole process and in less than a week, I got to drive my new car home. And after a few days of driving it, I am in love and I am so glad I chose to go to Sundance Chevrolet.

In the 1970s, I worked at Chevrolet Engineering at the Tech Center in Warren, Michigan. From that time until now, I have not seen such an excellent dealership as Sundance Chevrolet. They are excellent in every way possible.

I love the down home feeling we get when we visit Sundance. They make a person feel like family. They are thorough and honest. They work hard to be excellent from sales to service, I have not encountered any other dealership this excellent.

There is not a time that we visit the dealership where the owner does not come up and greet all the customers at the complex.

We are happy to drive across town to have Sundance help us with our cars in any capacity that is needed. I am very impressed with everything about Sundance not because they have a theme to their dealership (which I do enjoy) but it is very evident that the owner takes good care of his employees and the customers benefit greatly from this happiness that permeates throughout the dealership.

Chevrolet should be proud and take notice of such a well-run business of integrity and customer excellence.

I actually had a great experience! People want to bash this dealership like no tomorrow and it made me seriously reconsider even stopping in, but I gave them a chance and I'm glad I did! I could write a book on what I went through with Sundance....
I drove 160 miles to look at a 2000 silverado 1500 z71 with 90k advertised at a good price. The Dealer I worked with was Shaun Limones. Upon arrival and initial inspection the truck appeared as clean as I had been told.
The SES light came on within a minute of the truck starting. He actually left me with the truck to drive to autozone to get the truck scanned so he could work with another customer. the scan showed a code for random cylinder misfire. I told him to get the truck fixed, and maybe I would still consider getting the truck. They even gave me $40 in gas and assured me they would get "my" truck fixed....
I recieved a call the next day saying the truck was fixed and ready to go. They said they replaced all plugs, wires, and one coil pack. It seemed satisfactory to me, as this is a typical repair for that code. Reluctantly I went back and bought the truck with a 30 day limited warranty. (This is all they would offer) hoping the savings would offset any small repairs.
Within a mile of leaving the dealership which was then closed, the SES light came on and started blinking. (Dead Miss) I got the truck home and the nightmare began.
Upon inspection, the plugs and wires were replaced. No coil pack however! All the bolts had rust on them! I found myself taking videos and recording phone calls. Shaun was really good at saying he'd call me back in a few minutes to not hear back til the next day. I demanded they fix it free because it was supposed to be fixed before I bought it. They were supposed to drop my car off, but instead showed up and said they were taking the truck. No notice, and I was at work. They had said they'd pick the truck up within days not a week and a half. Apparently it was at their convenience not mine. So they picked it up with no notice, then had the nerve to tell me they wouldn't drop it back off. (160 miles!) Shaun said," They already have to much into the truck. " Reminder that I have all of this recorded...
They called and said it was fixed the day after and said that it was good to go. MAP sensor. ($10 part). Not falling for it, I made them have the mechanic call me. I told him to take it on the highway. The truck that was "Fixed", wasn't. They had to re-program the cam position sensor. They had no interest in actually fixing the truck right the first time. They would have had me come down a third time and it STILL wouldn't have been fixed.
I picked up the truck making it my third and final trip to Grand Ledge. This time it took up not only my day but my girlfriend's too since we needed two vehicles. the manager gave me a pathetic $30 gas card to "Make it right" HA!
Since then, there is a tick in the cams (probably from the sensor being bad) and I've already had to pay $270 for a wheel bearing that blew out and left me stranded on my lunch break.
If you have read all of this, I hope you can see the deception and mistreatment. Dealers are clearing off SES codes and hoping they stay off just long enough to sell the vehicle. I will never buy a used vehicle from a dealer again.
Also, don't believe you are getting the full story on the reviews for their website. I wanted to post this on there, but apparently they place only the ones they want to be seen. All other review websites are giving them horrible ratings. (So it hasn't just been me!)

We found exactly what we wanted with Randy's knowledge of vehicles. We were able to test drive it for a couple days and that helped us to make our final decision. We waited for about 45 min and then decided to take our business elsewhere. We bought a car down the road and came back in the new car and instantly we had 2 salesmen come up to us wanting to help. If you go to Sundance, you'll probably get a good deal, but I'd recommend doing your own independent research on the car you're interested in. Because Sundance has so many different car models, they may not know as much about the individual car.

I also took my car to my mechanic for him to review it before I purchased. I didn't run into any mechanical issues, but I'm glad I had that additional information.

Our salesman at Sundance Chevrolet was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Troy never tried to push us into what he thought we should get. He simply listened to our needs and went above and beyond the call of duty to fulfill them. If more dealers had salesmen like him, it would make the whole car buying experience easier. He is the first salesman that I will happily recommend to my friends and family. Everyone at this dealership was wonderful. They managed to bring me back to being proud of buying a GM vehicle again. Don't go here!! Spare yourself. I was very disappointed with them. They sold me a 2010 Town & Country in January 2018. In March, the van begin shutting off randomly....WHILE DRIVING! I bought this van for my wife to drive our 4 kids around in, but now it is a safety risk to my family. They REFUSE to work with me on fixing it, even though I purchased the 2-year WINS warranty. The salesman C. Q. will not return my call. They left us to deal with it on our own. I am buying a new truck in May and was looking to go back, but not now. Very disappointing because I loved the commercials ans Mr. Terry seemed really cool, but I was scammed. By the way...take a look at all the comments. Notice how you can ONLY get a response for the "positive" reviews, but pay no mind to the negative reviews. That should tell you right there how much this place ACTUALLY cares.

Fortunately, both times I have purchased vehicles from Sundance, I had great a great sales person. Most recently was helped by Phillip Miles. He was really great working with my budget. To me, the attitude and personality of the sales person is what makes the experience good or bad. Phillip was friendly, easy going, and knowledgeable. Sundance has a great selection of cars, and are constantly getting new inventory. I did not give 5 stars because there have been other times when I have come to browse their lot and the staff have been unfriendly or seemed disinterested in helping me. Overall, I would recommend Sundance and will be back in the future.

Would not recommend this dealership to my worst enemy!!! Highly recommend getting any vehicle ispected by a real mechanic before any purchase!! Sure learned my lesson!!! Received another call after my second review offering to pay half my bill for the repairs ONLY if I was to change my review to a 5 star review....I told them that I would give them a 3 star at best and not until after I received the reimbursement. That they wouldn't get a 5 star review from me unless they paid the entire bill. Never received another call or any kind of reimbursement from them.

For more than a week, we had been battling with a vehicle that had problem after problem after problem. We spent lots of money in this short time, trying to remedy each issue (transmission, starter, battery, alternator, cv axles, the list goes on and on...all within 9 days!!), only to find that we werent making progress, and tension was reaching a very high limit. Finally the car just gave out. It would be no more. That was a BIG stress that we didnt need either!!
BUT...my husband knows and has delt with Mike at Sundance before and had the utmost confidence that we could count on him to help us remedy the no car situation. And he did JUST that! Within just a few hours, we had a good used car in our possession, and the worries and stresses of the weeks prior were slowly disappearing!! He listened to what we were looking for in a vehicle, as well as helping to find one we could afford.
After so much frustration, blood, sweat, and tears that we went through last week, our positive experience at Sundance and with Mike was MUCH needed and soooo appreciated!! I would recommend this dealership and will, EVERY SINGLE TIME!! Thank you Mike and Sundance!!

well i got a couple thing's to say about this place. it has been going on a month or longer and i would get a phone call from phillip once a week if that. a couple of week's ago he told me that found a vechicle that would work and they could get financed. so i said ok. he had asked me if i could put something down so it didn't get sold. so i asked how much and he said normally they ask for $100.00 but seeing that i have been waiting patiently for like a month if i could do $50.00 i said yes and gave him my card number and they took it out but the last time i have spoke with phillip he told me that they were having trouble getting someone to bite on the loan. so he was going to talk to the manager about seeing what we had to do to get me this vechicle. and i have not heard a word from him since. i would say stay away from this place. go somewhere else.

Well, I bought this Saturn Vue from them and this is the second large repair I need done. I can't trade this truck in because the value is miraculously less than I owe on it! I've been told by dealerships that this truck is basically a liability. I got my first major repair done 6 months after I had the truck. Now on to my second major repair almost 2 years since I got the truck... but it's a repeated problem. I'm tired of spending large chunks of money on this car I got from this horrible place!!!

Being that I live in Lansing, I have heard a lot of things about Sundance.
"Don't trust them, they will say ANYTHING to get you to buy a car."
"They cover up issues with quick fixes, and then sell you the car "as-is", so if you notice the issues you are SOL."
Just knowing of their bad reputation, I had decided not to even check here while looking for my new car. After finding a Malibu I really liked at a different dealer, I decided to check prices at Sundance to compare to the other dealer.
They use some sort of alphabetical system on their cars so you can't price shop. It makes it seem kind of shady, I mean, what do you have to hide?
Either way, they have a ridiculous selection of cars, from all over the state. I am guessing most come from auctions.
I had walked around the entire lot without a single person greeting me, they were all too busy cleaning snow off of the cars. I left frustrated that nothing had prices.
I told my mother in law about my experience, and she told me that she had purchased both of her brand new cars from Sundance, and referred me to her salesperson, Jimi V.
I made an appointment to meet with him and see what Sundance had.
Jimi V was patience, listened to what I wanted, and only showed me things he knew I would like. He knew the pros and cons of the different smaller cars, and never once tried to show me things out of my price range ($15,000). He went on many test drives with me, was honest about noises or concerns he had, and ultimately helped me pick the perfect car. I got a great deal on an almost brand new car, he put new tires on it for me, and made the process as easy as could be! The day I came to pick up the car he had even programmed the radio stations for me to music he thought I would like.
He turned an otherwise horrible experience into 5 star service. I have been driving my car for 3 months now and I love it just as much as the day I left the lot. I also purchased the car for about $3,000 under what I was going to pay somewhere else, for more miles. I think that the trick to Sundance is it's all about who you know. I was told they go through salesmen pretty fast, and that it is hard to keep your job there because they force you to hit certain quotas. Jimi V has been there for a while, and is as kind and easy going as you could hope for out of a salesman! I know Sundance doesn't seem like the type of company you would ultimately like to support, but Jimi V couldn't have made the experience any better in any way. I would recommend shopping local, in your hometown, but if you have to make the drive to Lansing, ask for Jimi V.

I never feel like I'm being taken advantage of when I purchase a new car from Bobby at Sundance. This is not my first car purchased from Bobby and it will not be my last. I worked with Lou who was the most helpful and friendliest salesman I have ever dealt with. We were driving 2 hours away he diligently worked for 2 days before we arrived insuring all paperwork, car insurance and payment info was there when I arrived. I arrived and due to the service department not undercoating my car it was not ready. I thought I would have to make another 2 hour drive. But I was so surprised when Lou gave me a loaner vehicle and had my Car delivered to me at no cost.
I highly recommend this auto dealership they have inventory that will meet any need or want.
In addition at first I picked another car from their very easy to use website. Lou informed me after it was inspected that the car was not up to their standards and was not going to be sold. Most dealership's would have sold me that car and I would have had loads of issues. But not Sundance they wouldn't sell a poor quality car.
I will definitely tell everyone and use this Dealership again.

I wasn't sure if I wanted a new or used vehicle or if I wanted to purchase or lease. My salesman Terry Liles sat down with me and I told him what I was looking for in a vehicle. I purchased my Envoy from Sundance in 2003 and loved it but it was time to give it up. I wanted a GMC enclave but it was out of my price range :( After talking everything over such as budget, wants, needs and a few test drives, Tommy sat down and I decided reluctantly on the equinox. When I say reluctantly, the new vehicles just don't ride like my envoy but to get that ride, again, it was out of my range. Tommy made sure I had everything I wanted within my budget with no pressure. He helped me personalize my equinox such as changing the gold bow ties to black and the gold hub covers to black as well and changing out the carpet mats to the supreme mats and I can say that I am very happy. Tommy and Nate went over my vehicle with me to make sure I knew how to use everything. I even had to stop in to have a refresher and staff did it right then with a smile. I can't say enough about Tommy and the time he took with me to help me and to make sure I was happy. This is the 4th vehicle I have purchased at Sundance and the 2nd one for myself and each time I can honestly say I was treated respectfully, courteously and timely. I will be back for my next vehicle when my lease is up and Terry will be the salesman I look for and recommend to my friends and family.

We had a wonderful experience with the purchase of our new (used) 03 GMC Envoy. Josh Rice was our salesman and he listened to us and found us a better than great deal. We test drove the vehicle on Monday night and drove it home on Thursday night. The financing and everything was exactly within the range he quoted us and the process was smooth. Worst customer service I've seen in in years. Terry had a very disturbing awnser to my coming of waiting 2weeks to get my truck back when it as supposed to take 4days and they still did a half butt job " you know this is the car business " was his awnser!!! Not one person there I could call honest!!

We purchased a truck only to find it had a big scratchs in the bumper like it had rubbed a pole or something, but our salesman Mr. Floyd never mentioned it had been hit or had hit something. When it was brought to his attn. he admitted to knowing....not sure how he sleeps at night deceiving folks like that and refusing to fix it on top.
We'll NEVER do business with Sundance again, and suggest you think twice about it also. Oh and they areselling autos they bought in Canada, so they aren't rustproofed either.

This was a great experience. I talked to my salesman before I stopped in to look at car. He made sure it was still available before I drove the 40+ miles. When I arrived Jeff had the car ready for a test drive. After the drive he and I came to an agreement on my new to me car. The transition to finance was smooth and next came all of the signatures. Sundance is a great place to find your next car. They have more cars than you would ever guess to find at one dealership.
