Amazing ambience and the food is very delicious. The place is like heaven,damn beautiful, I can't describe in words.

Just one word.... Beautiful!!

If you are up for less adventure but more of relaxed and chilled out vacation in Maldives trip, this island/private resort is there for you.

Life seems to all sorted in AI (all inclusive) package. Food is good and so are all water sports activities. The only thing that goes a bit on the other side is.. everything is damn costly in Maldives, even water is 12$ a litre so you can expect all other stuffs in similar proportion.

But again, you do not go Maldives twice in life so you can ignore the cost factor a bit and enjoy the beautiful, luxurious and once-in-a-lifetime trip it has in store for you

out of this world experience. Staying at water bungalow can beat any beach vacations in the world. the service is really good, very friendly and courteous staff. Food is too good, be it breakfast, lunch or dinner. So many options, right from starters, main dishes or desserts. We stayed for 5 days and everyday we enjoyed different varieties of delicious food. We also had chef's signature dishes and one day we had an international award winning dish for the dinner. Alcohol is way too expensive, unbelievable!!! You can rent a bicycle for $5/day, a very convenient way to roam the island. Zero Garden is impressive. Beaches are clean. One night we tried to experience glowing phytoplanktons but we just saw few numbers randomly but if you are lucky you can see the whole beach glowing with fluorescent colors. Once in a lifetime experience.

The resort has a beautiful huge pool. Plant and beach are kept constantly clean. The furniture in the room or the beach villa is a bit dated, but is cleaned every day, a bottle of water per day is free in the minibar. Great selection at the international buffet. The service gives constantly, which is sometimes a bit annoying.

Nice hotel with delicious food and a fantastic beach.
More like a club hotel and something for an active holiday.
Hardly any loungers on the beach for village guests, which is very annoying. Otherwise to be recommended.

The paradise is here!!! We're stayed for our honey moon. All it was perfect, beautiful sea, good food...the beach bungalow in front of sea is peace of heart!!!sport and activities for all people. I hope we'll come back soon! We love you sun island!

If you are going for the first time, this is not the best place, only if the rest budget is quite modest. Attendants from Bangladesh are constantly waiting for either gifts or tips. Meals scanty. Sometimes interesting things from the neighboring islands swim in the sea. Very good pizza in an Italian restaurant

I thought it was good! Make sure you snorkel this whale shark. Only deduction the monotonous food

A beautiful vacation. The food of the restaurants included in the package was not five-star European but in the middle of the sea it could not be otherwise.

We would like to thank the hotel manager Ali and the staff, especially Manna and Kamal, who were always happy to help.
The island is not boring, the island was visited only once in a week. We saw manta rays every day, a lot of sharks (in the morning there are many at the point between the Mermaid beach and Water Sports), a lot of fish (be sure to take a mask), stingrays, flying foxes. The color of the water is amazing.

Everything is good, except for old rooms and corals all over the coast

What a let down !!!!!!! After having a fab week in Sri Lanka we had high expectations. How wrong we were. Our room on arrival was dated , tired and not up to 4 star standard. Even the shower was outside!!!!!!!. We were met with quite rude staff when we requested a room change but when we were moved what a massive difference. The beach and ocean views were fantastic and our room was cleaned twice a day by a very polite gent ( didn't catch his name). The excursions were very over priced and the shops on the resort very expensive !!!! All inclusive only applied to half of the bars and restaurants!!!! Overall, the resort did not offer the real Maldives experience and service in bars was virtually non existent and so slow. Very disappointed!!!!!!!

A beautiful resort within a beautiful atoll, spread over a large area and made up of many houses; the rooms are very large, comfortable, clean ... to feel right at home.
The bungalows mostly located on the beach, so close to the ocean that you can hear the noise of the waves pouring onto the beach especially in the evening ... unspoiled nature, the cries of beautiful exotic birds ... The excellent food, poor staff and eager for tips .. Numerous beach bars ... very useful gym complex, outdoor sauna and jacuzzi, tennis court, table tennis, squash, billiards and reading room with piano for those who want to perform.

Idyllic! We stayed in a Sun Villz facing the beach. Spacious rooms with open-air shower, terrace facing the beach, renovated rooms. You can rent 1 bike (about 5 usd per day), which is recommended considering the distances to the public areas. Varied buffets and show cooking: everyone is happy!

Hello everyone. After reading some very negative reviews here, I was really concerned about whether we booked the right one. Let's start with the fact that in a resort you cannot expect that every single one of them can be brought to the next island by plane. Of course we waited until Male went to our island, but from the beginning there was information for how long. We had to wait a total of 2.5 hours in Male until our plane was full and we could start. So everything within the framework. In addition, the weather was so bad on Monday that it wasn't a problem to wait.
When I arrived at the hotel by speedboat, we were warmly welcomed and it is understandable that I have not booked a private island or a tiny resort that there are more than two people at check-in. We filled out our slip of paper and had our welcome drink and were driven to our wonderful beach bungalow 50 meters from the sea. Our luggage arrived shortly afterwards. The bungalows are equipped with WiFi, as well as a kettle, enough coffee and tea. Our first impression was amazing and comforting. The whole time there was also no crowds and we could finally switch off. We had only booked breakfast and after talking about flies and disgusting sausage, vomiting and lukewarm food, we were already worried on the way.
Seriously, if you get the idea that sausage and cheese are always fresh at breakfast time between seven and ten o'clock, in a country where the average temperature is 29 degrees, you unfortunately don't have them all with you.
Yes, we didn't like cheese and sausage either, but we had fruit, vegetables, pan cakes, muesli, bread, eggs in every shape, coffee, juice, milk, pastries and and and. We got full every day and went to the beach happily. Here we come to the last point of criticism. Long ways. Yes, you walk a few meters, but it shouldn't be difficult for anyone and here, too, think about what you book. If you fall for dinner and roll to the beach, book a small island next time. Once around the island is about 5 kilometers.
For everyone who wants to move. There are many sporting activities available for free and in good condition. Don't forget your snorkeling gear.
It was a great vacation for us. The only downer, that we had to leave the hotel at 1.15 p.m. with a departure time of 8.30 p.m. Well, that's how it is when you book an island that is around 100 km away from Male. We would come back.

Captivated by the beauty Allah SWT blessed to this island. Many things to do over there. Over water beach bungalows were love.

Keep in mind, no matter if you pay $20 or $2000 a night, the quality of beach and water is same across Maldives. What you pay for, is the experience that the resort is supposed to enhance.

I've been here 2-3 times over past decade or so... My last trip was around 7-8 years back. Sadly a huge let down were compared to my past experience.

We were 2 nights in the Superior Beach Villa and 2 night in the water bungalows. Took my wife there for her first visit to Maldives with a lot promise based on my past trips here.

While the location is a beautiful as ever, the quality of service by the staff has gone down the drain. Previously they were polite, smiling and every willing to make to feel great about your visit. Now the staff was often grumpy, impolite and not too happy to do anything beyond just the basic task at hand. My observation was that the staff who have been here long enough, since the previous General Managers days, are as caring and brilliant in their attitude as ever... But all the relatively newer hires don't match up at all, not even close. They disappoint.

Other factor was the quality of food. It was once par excellence. But this time was very very disappointing. Huge let down. I'll give the food only a 2 Star out of 5.

For the first two days the guy waiting at our table was too rude and would behave as though he's doing is a favor. I had to complain about him when the senior manager came doing his rounds.

And then, as an extension of my first point, at dinner time they would start winding up the buffet 10-15 min before closure time of 9 PM. Since we had a baby of 9 months with us, we were moving about slowly and one day reached dinner by 8.45. There was just one more couple there winding up their dinner by then. We had just about served our mains when by 8.50 they had cleared all but 2 of the desserts from its original fairly large spread.

Another night, when we were staying in the water bungalows, on a rainy night when we got there at 8.30, the lamb chops had finished... Just had a bone or 2 left in the server. I requested them to refill the same but it was not done so even till 9.10. When I got upset the guy denied i had told him to refresh (do we need to request for a refresh of the buffet?) Finally, they did get us some cold remains but our dinner was done by then. The head chef then walked up and profusely apologised very very kindly and heartfeltly (he's been there since the last General Managers days) but since this was our one of many let down experience in our 4 night trip, we had by then realized that this place has changed bad.

There were several more instances that can highlight similar poor attitude of the staff, each one minor but adding up to a lot as a whole, which made our trip a very disappointing one.

Time to change the resort in Maldives for my next trip finally!

A paradise on earth!!! The best views of sunset.. a huge sun goes into the water. Excellent food both regarding quality and quantity. Crustal blue water and white sand. Great variety pf activities on resort. Great value for money resort!

Island, beach - everything is licked.
The northern part of the island is noisier than the sea, the southern part is calmer, but shallow and coral.
The staff is well trained. From meeting to wires - flawless. Everyone tries.
Cleaning in the room 2 times a day. At the reception, Russian-speaking employees are constantly present. Special THANKS TO MARIA!
Kitchen. There are both European and local. Buffet. Everyone will definitely choose to taste. On the plates for the dishes, all the information is indicated: vegetative, ACUTE, approx composition. Most of the dishes are changed every day. There is fish all the time, but monotonous. Desserts are above all praise.
Were fishing + snorkeling. The guides did their best as for themselves. They found everything. I liked it very much.
In general, I RECOMMEND UNIFORMALLY !!!

If there is a paradise on earth, here probably. A beautiful palm park, crystal clear water, beautiful beach, great service, not to mention the delicacies that the kitchen serves. If you really want to criticize something, you have the opportunity.

Our stay at the top, Hafssa and Hanane are great she speaks French, the awesome overwater bungalows very spacious clean in short super.
I am very disappointed with Suzy's behavior, she is in charge of the activities at the reception, she will not pay you attention unless she is Asian, she favors people from her community. I find that disappointing.

Very beautiful resort with a wonderful tropical garden on the island

Iike any others places on Maledives a bautifull and sunny island. Big resort so take the bike if You dont like to run. Very high prices but nice stuff everywhere. Very good entertainment on evenings by the bar doing by the animators.

Sun Island is a paradise to discover. My husband and I spent a week at this resort for our honeymoon. All the staff are kind and loving. They have a care and attention to detail that will leave you speechless. The atoll is quite large and you can rent bikes for 6 euros a day to easily go from one side to the other. It is possible to practice sports during the moments of break from the sea and after dinner, just to spend an hour before going to sleep. There is entertainment every night and it is very well organized to entertain guests until late at night. You can do water sports and snorkelling .... it's full of fish!
We recommend it!

Pointers :
1) prefer a water bunglow or superior beach bunglow . Standard beach bunglows are also good, but are very far from the lobby and restaurants.
2) If you have a all inclusive or full board package, try to eat again the "maaniya " restaurant. For people staying in water villas, there is a separate restaurant, but food quality is not in this restaurant.
3) for Indians - you will find Indian food here . so don't worry.
4) if you wish to opt for all inclusive package, book it before hand. Resort does not provide option to upgrade from FB to all inclusive.
5) get your own beach glasses , snorkelling equipment. Renting of buying them here is difficult and expensive.
6) get your sunglasses . Don't miss them. You don't be able to open your eyes for pictures under the bright sun.
7) you have option of having your pre or post wedding photoshoot done here. So come prepared with some good clothes if you have plans for photoshoot.

Exotic location, Enchanting Bluish sea water, beach front bungalow at door step to sea, delicious unlimited breakfast, lunch and dinner, courteous staff, mesmarising landscape with green lawn, indoor activities and outdoor activities, swimming pool,etc etc.
The Best of the lot is" Water Bungalows" ,we can never forget.
The Bluish green Water is mesmarising through the day and night.
Every item in Water bungalow is class apart and well thought out.
The recliner placed to lie down and enjoy the sea breeze is unique and gives unforgettable moments to cherish for a long time.
The Sting ray and shark feeding is additional attraction to guests.

all inclusive includes only a few juices and cocktails everything else costs money snacks etc. man mus pay for every little thing like service, etc. but the beach is great and clean there are sharks but not bite. Also great for snorkeling. the long way from the airport is just awkward you have to with another domestic flight 20 min. fly and then bus and boat drive. awkward for toddlers but for adults dream vacation.

Maldives is the Paradise on Earth. But not only for the stunning views and unique marine life, but for the people you encounter and the warmth of their hearts. We totally fell in love with this land and its people. The resorts is perfect for everyone. You have an infinity pool, sports area (fully equipped) gym, 4 tennis courts, badminton, hot tub, sauna, steam room, one of the best asian SPA's where we had the best experience ever, games and conference hall just to mention a few. It's the biggest resort in the Maldives! And it's just gorgeous. The staff is the best and the food is excellent. Great value overall. After we have been here it's hard to find anything that can stand up to this. On the island you have also a fully equipped water sport center. You can enjoy a donnie ride or bobcat sail, water ski and paddleboard. The staff is super friendly and they teach you how to use the gear from 0. The beach bungalows are nice, clean an functional. Your room is cleaned twice a day and you have 1 water bottle a day / person in your room. We enjoyed walking on the beautiful paths of this paradise. Every angle is so well taken care of. There is a big golf course too and a plantation with an organic restaurant inside. You will eat the best papaya ever and lots of other fruits and veggies that they are locally grown. Definitely, a MUST GO TO! and for us, a MUST RETUN TO

Spectacular island with marvelous landscapes with a grade of 10. I stay in Bungalow superior beach. Spacious but too simple room and old mattress. Terrible toilet; and we demanded that they replace toilet paper, shampoo and soap. I signed up for all inclusive and the 50 minutes of my check in I asked for a scoop of ice cream without a waffle and they immediately charged me $ 5.5 dollar and nobody noticed that some things were charged (that's not all inclusive; they gave me a bad time. ) The shows at night are very boring they mix the shows of children with adults. they do not invite the tourist to dance. lack more courage !!! as they do in punta cana; Jamaica; aruba; etc.
The attention of the pool staff is extraordinary and very attentive; the receptionists are not very attentive.

Housing clean hotel with friendly, competent staff, we were pampered at every step! It is impossible to describe in words - you have to experience it in person! Particularly noteworthy is Shalika, who works at the pool bar. He is a young, well-mannered bartender who performs his job with professionalism, at the same time very kind and polite, applause at the hotel owner that he has, among others, such staff! We also recommend a wonderful shop-gallery at Azmi and Fatima, where Azmi himself will paint everything you want - Bravo !!!
