It's HEAVEN! One of the most beautiful places I have ever been to! I would love to visit it every year!!

Absolutely amazing and beautiful resort with great personal, delicious food and stunning views. We will definitely visit again. You should surely visit for more then just a week.

Clean crystal clear water and marine life. Best place for weekend experience

It's in a very calm environment. Beautiful sea. There are bungalows that have been renovated for example. Sunset Villa is very good and well located. Cheaper beach bungalow with older furniture but well located next to Sunset Villa, right 460as up. Nice beach relax. Half board is enough if you don't work. There are many kinds of food, I have always found it to my liking. There is WiFi in the room. Diving, base is good.

The island is perfect for couples! I love the staff and environment here. The Spa is a must to do inside the island <3 though some staff hold discrimination to Asian people :(

We spent an unforgettable week from December 21 to December 28, 2018 in a superior bungalow # 222.
We did night fishing for baracunda, tiger fish and other fish. We swam with the fish and the sharks.

Atmosphere was superb during first week of June 2019.Temperature here is almost constant throughout @26 degree coupled with cool breeze from ocean.

We saw 100s of beautiful fishes and corals on their beaches , including sharks, manta ray, turtle, etc.

I highly recommend you to take your snorkeling kit along.

Cycles are available for traveling in the island at a rent of $6 per day people person.

Staff is very friendly here.

Note: Do let them know about your departure well in advance and rigorously follow up until you get the detailed information regarding departure airport transfers.

Preferred Domestic flights get full if you wait till the last moment and you are bound to compromise on departure timing.

The staff here are incredible. Warm, friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the beach superb. Buffet is good and varied with live food counters. White sand and clear blue water. Weather can be a bit unpredictable but mostly rain is heavy but warm and lasts no more than 2 to 4 hours of the day. We had 4 unsettled days out of 12 but were grateful for an enforced break from the sun! I would have given the resort 5 stars but it does feel a bit busier than other smaller resorts. It's a shame there are no credits for those on AI to use the a la carte venues as the smaller restaurants like the Thai and Italian, which are both excellent and have amazing staff, are often quite empty (big thanks to Kowsar at the Thai restaurant who was amazing). Quick transfer from Male (although I think this can be longer if your flights don't fit), easy check in then nothing to do but relax. It was good value for money and it is family friendly. Only downside as stated is it lacks the sense of privacy and intimacy of a smaller resort.

Are there words to describe this paradise island .... in all I obviously recommend 200% relaxation assured eyes amazed place that aspires to peace of mind and inner rest.

Really beautiful place, actually one of the nicest I've ever been to. Great facilities and great food. But VERY weird all inclusive option. You can always get what you want, but only at selected places at selected times. Note that you CAN get a hold of everything, but you might have to walk to the other side of the island to get it which is weird. Otherwise, great place. Would totally recommend it!

This destination have everything! Sun, magnificent beaches, excellent facilities with lots and lots of fun activities for both sunny and rainy days. The food at the buffet is fantastic and the juvel in the crown was our waiter Selvaraj who greated us every meal with a smile. We will most certainly be back!!!

Beautiful, wonderful, amazing and etc.
It was like a dream. We were in June. Not so many people, perfect service. Nature and climate are pleasant and charming.

I just checked out of Sun Island Resort. It's a beautiful place. We stayed 1 night @ superior beach bungalow and 2 nite @ water villas. The water villas are a class on its own...beautiful view of the beaches. The food at both the restaurant are good. The resort has good facility for sports like tennis, badminton, table tennis. A good sauna and Jacuzzi. Not to forget a beautiful pool near the beach. The staff across the resort are very friendly. In the southern star restaurant they had assigned a staff named Alam. He was very good, courteous and friendly. There was one more staff @ the reception ..I think her name was Chourock...she was good and always welcomed us with a big smile....we had a good 3 days in Sun Island villas and we hope to be back soon. Few suggestions....I think the cycle should be free and not charged. They need to add few more Indian vegetarian food in the menu and we had to ask couple of times of the vegetarian food had egg..they shud clearly put a note that food has egg (main restaurant). Overall a good experience. Last but not the least ...I booked it online thru their website and a person called Andrea helped me in booking thru chat... thanks to her for making a hassle-free booking.

Great place for a holiday. Sufficiently large island offers peace to relax (hammocks and swings others), but also a lot of attractions. Water bungalow can be recommended (everyone has their own Wi-Fi). The whole island is quiet and nowhere you will meet large crowds. Shallow swimmers will appreciate shallow swimmers. Ideal for snorkeling. The staff is very nice and helpful. You do not need to carry money throughout your stay, everything is credited to your room. We recommend a big game adventure trip.

In corona time very quiet, relaxed vacation even when everything was closed.

You can really relax and unwind from everyday life and relax the buffet is very good and varied the a minus star is for the value for money since it is very expensive here

A very nice island, 1.3km long, for those who think it will be boring, because the days go by as you eat a pizza (pictures are natural, what are the filters)

Amazing place surrounded by turquoise waters of the Indian ocean. White sands, beautiful sunsets and sunrises. Five star service, excellent quality of food and beverages. All inclusive paradise.

Excellent hotel. I recommend to take numbers ranging from 101 to 106. Further a bad beach near the bungalow. From the reception there are no waves, and this is super. Any questions please write, I will try to answer.

You can't describe it with words, you have to see it for yourself

Sun Island was another positive Maldives experience. Dr advantage of this island is that it is quite large. A small downside is the inland flight from Male and there are a lot of Asians on the island. Otherwise everything is really nice. The food is very good and the staff always friendly and accommodating. There are many recreational opportunities for active holidaymakers. The staff tries to separate Asians and Europeans as far as possible, since these two mentalities are very different. A stay on Sun Island is absolutely recommended!

Fantastic experience. Right from the Sea Plane ride from the Airport to the Island hosting the Sun Island Resort, to the Cycle rides around the island, the experience was unique.

The place is soo nice beautifull sea, everything is expensive excursion or special dinner everything is settled up to rise money, and you will be surrounded of hundred persons making selfie or guys making a fake model book to their ugly and fat girls

Really nice resort with amazing beach! We specifically liked the Thai restaurant, snorkelling excursions and sunset dolphins trip.
The rooms are simple, not luxury, however, you would rather stay outside and enjoy the beautiful views and various activities offered in the hotel!

I want to thank especially the staff working on this island (reception, kitchen, transport, housekeeper, activities). I have traveled all over the world but I have never met more friendly and respectful people like in this resort. I would like to thank the administration for organizing and helping in solving all the problems. Unfortunately, what surprised me negative was some tourists, especially those from Russia, who without any respect for other customers and staff, shamelessly took advantage of the restaurant buffet, taking a lot of food that then remained on table. Maybe in the future the rules in the restaurant should be tightened regarding the amount of food for a single person. Apart from this we were very satisfied with your services. I will definitely recommend this resort to all friends and family.

Good cleaning, good food. All-inclusive a little limited. The island is very beautiful, the absence of reefs is compensated by its beautiful beaches, the greenery that fills the island and the many activities that can be done. It's great for those who want to go to the maldives with children

Great vacation, paradise island! I give five points! There were a couple of triples of countries, of course, the Maldives is in the lead in the ranking! Sun Island Resort is super !!!
