Excellent restaurant, perfect mix between price and quality. Coleslaw is ok. Four people can eat VERY WELL by 24 or 30 dls, beer included.

Haven't tried the food, but definitely one of the best music venues in town
We stopped at Stubb's to meet friends we had not seen in years. Needless to say we were there for a little over 3 hours and the waiter Nick was nothing shy of amazing. Food was great and fast once we ordered. Facilities were clean and the location was great. Would recommend over and over.
Great concert venue. I was a bit surprised, killswitch engage was fantastic here.
Nice atmosphere for small scale concerts but the food wasn't good.
The restaurant was quiet but even though we were with a group the food arrived too quickly, it was really dry which made me think of earlier prepared food that was heated up.
Great BBQ. And you can enjoy a show, plus you can be under 21, helpful if you got a teenager who can't enjoy a lot of the Austin nightlife.
Attended the Notre Dame Alumni pre game tailgate. Stubb's was almost overwhelmed and for whatever reason, lines to get in took a bit of time. Surprised considering this venue has such large shows, but front door needs like 2 more dudes
Loved it... Great food and drinks. Awesome place to see a concert
It's rare that a barbecue restaurant has a 2,000 person ampitheater attached to the establishment, so Stubb's automatically gets 5 stars for that. The food and staff was also great and I can easily understand why locals frequent this place.
Went to Stubb's to see Sofi Tukker. Stubb's BBQ was delicious! It's a great place to go to see live music . ........Sofi Tukker is awesome!!!
This outdoor venue has been so comfy every time I ve attended concerts there. The smell of delicious BBQ is a bonus. The conveniently placed bars are excellent too! I wish the restrooms were indoors and not a line of port a potties but alas, we can t win em all. We had an excellent time at this week s concert.
This place is AMAZING. Some of the best BBQ I've ever had in my life. Get the brisket and the mac 'n cheese. Potato Salad is pretty good. I'd prefer a creamier slaw, but whatever. The location next to Lala's lets you eat in the bar which is super awesome.
Got the 3 meat with brisket, ribs, and pulled pork, Mac and cheese and serano spinach. All to go. It was fast and portions were big and the food was delicious.
Generous portions of great que served in a really cool atmosphere
Solid go-to for dinner when many other spots are closed.
Really good brisket but pretty small portions for the price. Yams were tasty, but collards were really salty. Also calling in an order over the phone was a pain. Not my favorite experience.
Amazing food - traveled all the way to Austin to eat there!
Great small concert venue, but bartenders have been a bit rude. Recommend grabbing drinks before or after show. Merchandise vendors were awesome. Very polite.
Great BBQ but the rest could be better. There are lots of great BBQ places in Austin. Stubbs is truly top notch as far as the meat.
I did drop it to 4 stars though because the bathrooms stunk really bad. Not that someone was just in there smell. More on an unclean smell. Maybe it had not been cleaned after the lunch rush but 5 stars is perfect and its worth mentioning.
Staff were really nice food was good except someone found plastic in their food. They told the server. Server thanked them but did not comp the food.
The atmosphere is casual and old school rustic.
Amazing concert venue. Great ambience in an intimate setting. Have never tried the food.
Probably a bit overrated but this is a place you can't miss when you're in Austin. The music venue is really cool and the food is pretty solid as well. Obviously their sauce is top notch and I absolutely recommend you go by and try it out when in town.
We made a point to eat at Stubb's on our recent trip to Austin, because their sauce rocks and the restaurant is supposedly "legendary." I wasn't all that impressed. Seems to me they're more concerned with live music than barbeque, which was dry and bland. Overall, just not worth the price. Go find a good dive where they use butcher paper instead of plates.
Saw St. Vincent at their outdoor venue and it was one of the best places I've seen a concert at. Sound was great and the lights/visuals were top notch. Great drinks and food, would love to see other shows here when I'm in Austin!
Obviously has great concerts & music but I'm only a mild fan of the food.
If you're looking for BBQ, look elsewhere. There is much better around. The music scene, however, is excellent!
The meat was falling off the bone. Brisket..ribs...really good. Sans the Stubbs Sauce! The sauce was not good though! Mac & Cheese was like a milky boxed Kraft :(
Not from Austin, stopped in for lunch. Very disappointed in the food and service $49 dollars for 2 people to eat dry brisket and cold sausage. I could ate somewhere much nicer with free parking for the same price! Would not recommend to anyone.
MUST do the Gospel Brunch on Sunday. That's what I went for (back in 2008) and it did not disappoint. The food is incredible - a huge Southern spread. The food, the music and a little bit of alcohol will get you real close to heaven.
But you must get tickets in advance and go there early to get in line.
The sliced brisket and mac n cheese were delicious. The mashed potatoes needed a little flavor. The price was about average for BBQ. I will definitely return there.
Great food, reasonable prices, very fast and polite service. Highly recommended. The only downside is the effect on the waistline.
Excellent food! Definitely try the brisket! Iconic building from the 1800s. Great friendly service. Highly recommend! Love the fried Okra and Collard Greens as well. Mmmmm
Service was quick but we rarely saw our waiter. Could have been because we sat outside. Food was good, came out all different temperatures. The cheese spinach was extremely spicy, which we weren't warned about. Their "famous" sauce tasted a little spoiled to me... But the brisket was well done.
The layout of the back stage is one of my least favorite things about this venue.
great food, fast service, the brisket was so good! reasonable/good prices for the amount of food you get
We went to Stubb's because we heard rave reviews about it on the Travel Channel. The drinks were good, kinda pricey. Service was okay, not the greatest. We had brisket and chicken that left a lot to be desired.
You might not get a table inside. Fans outside mostly don't work. Restrooms and near restrooms stink really bad. BBQ is good but nothing amazing.
I came to Stubbs for lunch while visiting Austin. I thought the place was excellent. The interior is very large with lots of different rooms. The downstairs is huge with a stage and some pool tables. It wasn t crowded when I arrived which was good but surprising. I ordered a platter which consisted of smoked turkey, pulled pork, coleslaw and fries. The smoked turkey was outstanding. It had the perfect amount of smoke and great flavor. The pork was fine, typical pulled pork but the coleslaw and fries were excellent. My server was excellent as well. He constantly replenished my iced tea during the scorching hot day I came here. I have been to several barbecue restaurants in Austin in this has to be one of my top five favorites. I will definitely be back the next time I m in town and highly recommend checking this place out for their barbecue.
Food was average at best! Food came quickly, wait staff was friendly! Their restaurant/concert venue is right across the street from Hotel Indigo in which the music at concert was so loud it vibrated the walls of the hotel well past 1:00 am! Not very considerate of the hotel patrons across the street! I won t ever be staying at Hotel Indigo again because of this! Which is sad because it s a nice hotel!
Favorite bbq place. Whenever I go to Austin, I need to get some Stubbs.
You will find consistently good BBQ in a venue that has the added bonus of being a great location plus a good live music venue.
I brought the sweet heat BBQ sauce and it is tangy and terrible...
Awesome BBQ restaurant, the meat was delicious and the waiters were extremely nice. My friend picked a beer he did not like and barely touched and they accepted to switch it with another one.
Definitely recommend their brisket, it was the best meat we had on our trip in Texas. The sides are also really good, my friend who cannot eat meat actually really liked the place because of how good the mashed sweet potatoes was.
I tried the brisket, chicken, ribs, and Turkey with the mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. The meats were tender and flavorful and the sauce complemented the meats well. The Mac and cheese wad delicious! Went during an off time so it was quiet and the service was prompt. Would return again.
Fast service, food was really good. We shared a 3 meat platter and Caesar salad which was ample.
Small portions for the price. Pulled pork did not. Have a smokey flavor. Good bbq sauce
The food sold during concerts is really good, sandwiches and wraps. Free water and picnic tables in the back to rest.
I went here for a concert but the place was AWESOME.
Walked 8 blocks to have some BBQ. Read about it and was excited. Walked in the door and they asked if they could help me. I explained that I would like to eat. They told me they were doing brunch. I said that sounded good. They again explained that they were doing brunch and I should return at 2:30. I WANTED BRUNCH!!!!
The sauce is delicious. Customer service ok. The meat was a little tough. The beans ok. I'm not sure if that was patato salad...
Good outside place for a concert, beer is way too much.
Our host was very knowledgeable of the the restaurants history which was nice. Our family purchases Stubb's bbq sauces often so having the opportunity to try the restaurant was a no brainer. At first we parked in a back in only type spot next to the restaurant. It turned out that those spots weren't free parking. Yes, we were out of towners, but we didn't see the little pay for parking box that was covered up with a tarp at first. But we could see the parking tickets on the other parked cars which told the tell that there was a place to pay somewhere. Later inside we were told the city makes money off of parking tickets...go figure. Well the parking lot across the street is where my husband ended up moving the car too for $8.
The area is nice walking area. Once inside, we were sat on the side opposite the bar, right behind the podium where the host/wait staff gather. I had to use the restroom after being seated. The restrooms are downstairs around the corner. Thank God I was no longer dealing with a healing fractured ankle injury. There is also a stage and a pool table down there. It smelled like straight piss down there especially in the pool table area.
Gladly once back up stairs I was back to smelling hints of bbq and regaining an appetite again.
My husband and I both ordered a brisket sandwich with fries onion rings and fried okra.
I should have went with my first mind of getting smoked turkey breast because after being served the brisket or should I say fatsket I ended up with the smoked turkey anyways. So tell them you want the cleanest of brisket if you choose that meat and if you're not a far lover.
Overall the flavor of smoke in the meat is good. Very tender meat yummy. The onion rings need more flavor, the dried and okra , perfect! Surprisingly, they only serve Original Bbq Sauce flavor. We will probably go back when in the city again.
Great restaurant the appetizers and sides were great but the meats were a bit bland.
OMG ... too much awesome food, so hard to pick and choose! The BBQ is really tasty, nice casual atmosphere, staff friendly.
Decent BBQ. Great place to catch a big name act in a smaller venue.
I'm sure it was just me, but the restaurant was very cold and the food arrived semi- warm, which meant it got cold very quickly. I had the brisket sandwich. The brisket was wonderful, but not hot, the bun was hard. Onion rings were, sad to say cold. The cheesy spinach was the only dish that was hot, and that was mostly from the spices cooked into the recipe, but the dish itself was wonderful. Our waiter was friendly and checked in often.
Every time I feel the spirit movin' in my heart I pray.... and eat ... at Stubb's fantastic Gospel Brunch!!!
Great Food. Service woild be better if the Staff left there Damn phone's at Home. NO PHONE'S WHEN WORKING PEOPLE!!!
Cool venue for music but was not impressed with the BBQ. The pork ribs were ok but the brisket was dry and neither had a good smoked dry rub.
The food was just okay, in a town where the bbq places are on every corner it was not - in my opinion the greatest- the meat was a bit dry and the cocktail was kind of weak that after I had difficulty justifying the price of it. Plus the Mac and cheese didn't have a cheesy flavor to it, it basically just tastes like noodles. They had an event going on and it seemed like the staff had difficulties managing the dinning room and the event
Great venue to see bands. Drinks are pricey and no place to sit, unless you pay for VIP.
Food was equivalent to Bill Miller's bbq, smoked with post oak, so the flavor is good and not too smoky. The brisket cut was very faty, the sausage was so-so and needed to be cooked more, the turkey was eh. Parking situation sucks, there isn't any, so it's street parking, feed the machine. Oh, and this restaurant is very loud, if you're going with a group remember you will be yelling.
BBQ here is really good. Stubbs sauce is a bit tangy and a little spicy. Two people can easily split the pick 3 BBQ plate as it's very large. Atmosphere is a nice rustic music centered theme. Two stages downstairs and two bars.
Good brisket and pulled pork barbeque. May still need some smoked flavor on the sauce, but still great.
This was such a disappointment, I was really hoping for good bbq. I ordered a salad and a side of brisket and the salad came in this tiny cup packed to the top that you couldn't eat out of, I had to ask for a plate. And the brisket wasnt anything great. It was an underwhelming experience. My son didnt even eat the mac and cheese. Seriously...mac and cheese that he normally devours everywhere. The bartender was super nice though.
